- Audrey (10/5): Amazing place and location! - I love the area! It's so quiet and within walking distance from anything you need. City bus is close by or you can use Go Taxi. The canal and the sake museums are within 15 min walk. Such a beautiful area. The house was very clean and really had a charming feel to it. Very 'slice of life' and authentic Kyoto! The only things I noticed that could be an issue for someone were that there is no bidet, and that the heater unit for the bedroom wall mounted heater is very loud. I didn't care because I like white noise to sleep, but I could see that bothering others that need silence. However: there is a separate radiator you could move from the kitchen into the bedroom at night if you really wanted to. We never went into the upstairs bedrooms so I cannot attest to those.

- Piotr (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (7/5): Good - The house is great but it was way too cold, there is no isolation from outside for the toilet, and the whole house is very cold too.
Even with the heater we get cold.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Sabahuddin (1/5): It was the worst stay, and very disappointing. I got another hotel for the second night. - The room was clean. I stayed just for one night, however, I paid for two nights, because the rooms were very cold, I used the AC, but it did not get warm. On the other hand, there was not amunity, nothing to use like tooth brush and so on. The lighting was not good, the pilows gave bad smells and my kids could not sleep till the morning. The toilet was very cold, my daughters could not use it because of its coldness.
- Justin (9/5): Superb - Loved the location in the suburbs of Kyoto
Quite neighbourhood with a short walk to the train station The stairs to the upstairs in the property are quite steep and not the safest for little kids.
- Arwed (8/5): Very good - Nice traditional japanese style accomodation
Very quiet because in 2nd row Watch your head if tall
- Charlotte (9/5): Beautiful hideaway - This home was lovely to stay in. Great to experience traditional Japanese living, we really enjoyed it. Would definitely stay again. Nothing
- Paula (10/5): We would stay here again. - Great location. Great drying area for clothes. Everything was great for a family of 5. 4 adults and one baby. Nothing
- Echeverri (8/5): Amazing Kyoto energy - The rooms are real y confortable and the common spaces are perfect. It’s just the right combination of western confort with eastern feeling. It’s not so easy to move around Kyoto from the place. Train station is quite a walk away, and while you can get a bus a couple of steps away from your door, buses are not the best choice in Kyoto. Not a dealbreaker, but you should be aware of that.
- Heidi (7/5): A very homey and peaceful house amongst local streets. Would be cool if there was a TV, and the kitchen pots and pans ne - Nice bed sheets and lovely calm house For a long stay it would be good to have some extra things like tea towels and a few more pots and pans that aren’t so beat up. The clothes rack upstairs is also broken and I had to put it back together.
- Vladimir (9/5): Superb -
- Maddy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (7/5): The home is small but spacious, and very cozy. - cozy, quiet, affordable, safe residential area not around tourists. there’s a decent pharmacy / food store around the corner, and local restaurants. damaged pans made it difficult to cook. wifi died completely even after several restarts. creepy upstairs floor.
