• Hrusikesh (4/5): Avoidable(they badly need to renovate and increase the service level) - The rooftop terrace is nice but the furniture is not maintained well. Since this riad is inside the medina, many attractions, restaurants and shopping are walkable. But this location is not in a clean area of the medina. And there is a garbage dump just a block away on one side of this property, it is not nice to walk on that side. This was the worst stay in our 20 day Morocco trip. The ratings from booking.com was quite good but the price of a suite room was lower compared to similar properties in that platform. That should have given us a hint. Our problem started before even we checked in! We wanted directions and help with parking our car in a nearby lot, but no one picked up any of our calls before we reached the place. This phone number was given in booking confirmation and also on google. They helped us find a parking lot after we knocked on the door. The staff are polite but don't have the usual high service levels experienced in other properties in Morocco. Our room was on the top floor. It was a family room, can hardly be called a suite room as it was cramped with 3 beds, sofa and chairs. The room was relatively clean. The bathroom was not that clean, a lot of stains everywhere. The shower didn't work and they couldn't fix it during our 3 night stay. They asked us to use the shower in another vacant room nearby. The breakfast was pretty basic, we had it once and the next couple of times we went out. Wi-fi was bad.

Dès notre arrivée, ils se sont immédiatement occupés de nous, en nous expliquant tout en détail et en nous donnant de précieux conseils pour profiter pleinement de notre séjour. Tout au long des trois jours, Ayoub et Ahmed ont été d’une disponibilité incroyable, toujours présents à n’importe quelle heure pour nous servir un thé, répondre à nos questions ou nous aider (avec les guides…). Nous avons beaucoup discuté avec eux, et beaucoup appris. Les chambres très jolies, très confortables, nous nous sentons bien à l’intérieur, de plus le Riad est très bien situé. Une équipe vraiment très présente, bienveillante et professionnelle. Merci pour votre accueil, je recommande à 100% et si nous sommes amenés à revenir à Marrakech, nous reprendrons le même Riad sans hésiter.

La situation géographique centrale proche de la place Jemaa el fna, des souks, des restaurants,etc., la beauté du Riad, son authenticité, le calme qui y régnait, la chambre à la décoration digne des milles et une nuits, le toit plat duquel nous pouvions admirer le couché du soleil dans le confort d'un magnifique salon extérieur. Mais le plus beau est sans aucun doute la gentillesse d'Ayoub et Ahmed qui ont rendu notre séjour magique. Ils étaient au petit soin pour nous. Ahmed est un très fin cuisinier. Chaque petit déjeuné était délicieux. Et Ayoub accueillait nos demandes à toute heure avec le sourire. Nous nous sentions mieux qu'à la maison. A chaque fois que je me sens triste, je n'ai qu'à repenser à notre séjour au Riad Imlilchil et automatiquement je retrouve le sourire. Je n'ai qu'un seul souhait : y revenir et retrouver la formidable équipe du Riad Imlilchil. Rien. Tout était merveilleux.

We appreciated the suggestions and the map as well as helping us organise our transport to and from the riad and the consideration of our food restrictions. It is a great place to start exploring the medina. Due to the riad's architecture, in your room you might hear other guests having breakfast in the morning.

Molto disponibili per organizzare tour, peccato avevamo già organizzato tutto da casa.

El lugar es realmente bonito, con una habitación de ensueño, cuidada al detalle y muy bien calefactada, lo que se agradece muchísimo, sobre todo en ciertas épocas del año. Pero sin duda, lo mejor del Riad es el trato humano. Los chicos que lo atienden son encantadores: amables, atentos en todo momento y siempre dispuestos a ayudarnos con una sonrisa. Además, tuvieron un gesto precioso con nosotras al regalarnos una mano de Fátima, un detalle lleno de significado que nos llevamos con mucho cariño. Riad Imichil, gelegen in het zuiden van de medina vlak bij het iconische Bahia Paleis, sprong eruit na het lezen van enthousiaste recensies en het zien van foto’s die een sprookjesachtige sfeer beloofden. Dit 18e-eeuwse, zorgvuldig gerestaureerde riad met slechts een handvol kamers bood precies wat wij zochten: een intieme, luxueuze ervaring doordrenkt van Marokkaanse charme. Riad Imichil ligt in het zuiden van de bruisende medina van Marrakech, op slechts 5 minuten lopen van het majestueuze Bahia Paleis, een architectonisch meesterwerk met weelderige tuinen en verfijnde mozaïeken. Deze toplocatie plaatst je in het hart van de historische en culturele schatten van de stad. Het nabijgelegen Badi Paleis, met zijn imposante ruïnes, ligt op 5 minuten wandelen, terwijl de levendige Mellah, de historische Joodse wijk, op een steenworp afstand ligt met zijn kleurrijke specerijenmarkten en ambachtelijke winkels. Le lieu est vraiment très joli, chaleureux et plein de charme. Ayoub a été extrêmement accueillant et aux petits soins avec nous du début à la fin. Toujours souriant et de bonne humeur, il n’hésitait pas à nous offrir le thé, que ce soit dans notre chambre ou sur la terrasse du riad, ce qui fait vraiment la différence. Le service de chambre était nickel, les chambres très propres, rien à redire. L’équipe nous a aussi beaucoup aidés pour nous repérer à Marrakech et faciliter les échanges avec les taxis locaux, ce qui est super appréciable quand on ne connaît pas bien la ville. Un lieu humain, chaleureux et authentique que je recommande sans hésiter. Rien, tout a été bien!

Staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is just outside the busy area of the Medina, so quite quiet at night. We were very happy.

They walked with us to the medina for our first trip and helped us with taxis, activities and restaurant recommendations. The location is great and whilst we didn’t sit on the terrace (winter!) there was a lovely view over the city. We also really appreciated the heating in the cold evenings. The day before we arrived we tried to do the summit to Mount Toubkal but because of very bad and dangerous weather we could not and I got a very very bad flu/cold(fever, headache and a lot of tissues). This riad was a perfect place to be sick because we felt like home. Ayoub and Chic was wekh were truly amazing, friendly and helpful, I could not be more happy and grateful that I stayed there. The breakfast was very good as well as the dinner and everything was clean. The riad was also easy to find. So yeah I recommend with all my heart this accommodation

• Katja (9/5): Eine super gut gelegene Wohnung mit sehr hilfsbereiten und äußerst nettem Person - Das Frühstück war sehr gut und es gab jeden Morgen, Fruchtsalat, Brot, Ei und ….alles war zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Man hätte auch Abendessen bekommen, was wir nicht genutzt hatten. Es wird alles frisch zubereitet. Das Personal ist immer da und steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Hilft, wenn man dies möchte und ist sehr aufmerksam. Das ein oder andere könnte mal wieder erneuert werden, ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das ist im Laufe der Zeit immer mal notwendig.

They were always there to help with anything I needed and made my stay truly memorable. As an Arab Muslim traveler, the only downside I faced was the lack of a bidet sprayer in the bathroom, which is essential for my personal hygiene and comfort. However, I really appreciated that the hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating; they provided me with a water jug to use instead. It was a thoughtful gesture that made my stay much easier.

Cibo molto buono ed anche colazione abbondante. Ayoub e tutto lo staff sono stati disponibili fin dal nostro arrivo, per farci vedere la strada che porta alla piazza e per chiamare i taxi. Ogni momento di relax era buono per offrirci un buon té. Durante il giorno i taxi non possono entrare in quella via. Chiedete il cambio degli asciugamani, non scontato che lo facciano se si lasciano per terra

Shower was super with a walk in shower area! Loved the authenticity and beautiful property. The two guys Ayoub and his colleague were extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. It was really thoughtful that Ayoub met us at the taxi on arrival and walked us to the Riad. Visa versa at the return trip. He also organised the taxis to and from the airport. Nothing was too much trouble. The Riad was a short walk down narrow alleys to the souks and main square. But away from the Hussle and bustle! Nothing
• Xander (10/5): Amazing - Location was good: close to the main centre but not in the most busy part of town. Very welcoming hosts who walked us from and to our taxi, excursion meeting points etc. Room always well cleaned and breakfast was ok as well. /
• Nicola (10/5): Amazing Riad. - It's daunting to book a Riad with so much choice. But booking this one was the best decision. Ayoub and Ismail exceeded all expectations as hosts. They couldn't do enough for our family, they helped with all our bookings, advice, etc. The breakfast was delishious and different all 3 mornings. Having Ayoub pick us up from our drop-off location and walk us places until we found our feet was priceless. Even gave his number in case we got lost. Honestly, the peace of mind was everything. The location is ideal, felt 100%safe walking even at night. Beds were super comfy. Loved the traditional decor and lighting in the room. Tea and snacks were plentiful and delish. Honestly, I really can't say enough other than if you are on the fence, just book it, you won't regret it. Not a thing. Was perfect

• Joanna (7/5): Over-high expectations made for a disappointing stay in a charming riad - I am leaving this review because the high rating of Riad Imilchil was what made my decision to choose it for a three-night stay. This review is to balance that and make sure others are not misled by the high rating. I’ve stayed in various riads over the years. This one is delightfully authentic, with its cool courtyard, surrounding rooms and sunny terrace with covered area for lounging around. The staff bent over backwards to help us - but that was because they were forced to in order to fix the problems caused by the outdated facilities. That said, the breakfasts were delicious, with excellent coffee and lovely and different treats brought out every morning - top marks for the yoghurt. The first room we were put in had a broken shower head and the toilet didn’t flush. The team kindly put us in the bridal suite for a night but here the sink flooded the bathroom every time it was used. When we were moved into the third room, the air conditioning didn’t work. In the heat and dust of Marrakesh, it’s not too much to ask for working plumbing and air conditioning and the situation was as frustrating for us as it was for the staff. It is authentic and charming, but everything is clunky and slow with the core team seeming to be there 24/7, struggling to catch up with their sleep. It was all a little tired and shabby chic. The plunge pool they mention I would not have ventured into, with no running water and it just sat there in murky silence throughout our stay. As for the high reviews that prompted my booking, there was an amount of pressure from the team not to leave a “bad” review. I hope I’ve left an honest review. It might make their lives easier if people don't arrive with over-high expectations based on a higher price and 10/10 reviews. If I could have left and avoided all the unnecessary repacking, waiting, moving then I definitely would have. There are better value riads in better locations so do look around before you book.

• Graham (10/5): Excellent choice for a Marrakech visit - We stayed 5 nights at Riad Imilchil as a family of three. It felt very safe, it was very clean, and the location was a quiet side street well located for exploring the Medina. Ayoub and his team were amazing they looked after us so well. Overall an excellent choice as a base for enjoying Marrakech. Nothing we didn’t like.

L’atmosfera è autentica, accogliente e curata nei minimi dettagli, ma ciò che ha reso il nostro viaggio davvero speciale è stato l’host: AYOUB. Ci ha accolto con una gentilezza e una disponibilità rare, sempre attento a farci sentire a nostro agio e al sicuro; un aspetto fondamentale per noi che siamo due ragazze di 22 anni in viaggio da sole in Marocco. Un gesto che non dimenticheremo mai è stata la sua generosità nell’accompagnarci alle 5 del mattino per la nostra esperienza in mongolfiera: sempre sorridente, efficiente e pronto ad aiutarci in tutto. Grazie a lui ci siamo sentite come a casa, pur essendo lontane. • Morgan (10/5): Very comfortable and the staff made our experience much better! - The staff are fantastic and extremely attentive. There was nothing we had to ask for because they were always one step ahead of us and attending to our needs. However, it seemed that no request we had was too much- they went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay. Ayoub and Mohammad were giving us a lot of fantastic recommendations throughout our stay and they made us feel incredibly comfortable. We ate here on one of our nights and the food was absolutely incredible. The breakfasts were incredible- I have never ate as well as I did this holiday! The room was incredibly comfortable and the entire team of staff did a wonderful job. They made sure that we made the most of our stay not only in the Riad, but they made sure that we made the most of our time in Marrakech. They made our time in Marrakech so memorable- we cannot thank them enough! I cannot say there was anything wrong with the property.
