- James (8/5): Very good -
- Floyd (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raymond (2/5): - #1-No handicap shower,#2- metal bed made a noise when turning over or setting down on bed #3- Bed was hard. I slept in the chair. #4-coffee pot was dirty, someone put coffee grounds where the water goes and it was not cleaned out. could hear other guest talking tru walls. other than that El had a good night sleep. LOL
- Gregory (8/5): - All good
- Fredogd (7/5): I recommend this hotel. Seems well managed and safe. - Clean. Room has a laminate floor, no carpet, which makes hotels in the south feel cleaner. It smelled fresh, not moldy. People checking in at midnite making noise outside my room. Hard to avoid that. Not the hotel's fault.

- Tammy (6/5): - Pubick hairs in the bathtub roaches in th room no smoke detectors in the room
- kevin (8/5): - It was clean
- Eva (4/5): - This is listed in Tupelo but it’s actually in Amory several miles away. Coffee maker chipped and dirty with old coffee grounds still inside. Carpet and furnishings not clean. Front desk person was nice
- Randy (10/5): - I Like It
- Darell (10/5): - No trash about the property
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property felt incredibly unsafe and the check in staff was not pleasant. The online amenities and policies did not match with the actual inn.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I disliked how the a/c blows directly on the beds, but that is in most all motels.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I did not like the customer service. I did like the rate.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing. We did not have ANY water in the shower to bathe !
- Porsha (2/5): Should be reviewed by hotels.com to see if it meet - The place was very poor looking. It was dark in the parking areas and seemed unsafe. I was not comfortable at all. I didnt want to stay there. The overall feeling was it was very sub-standard
- Darden (2/5): Not satisfied - I had a death in the family and we have been on the road for about 6 hours and we just wanted to relax. We was able to do that do to the people next to use running hitting our walls running up and down the stairs screaming at 1:30 in the morning while i have two 6 year olds with me.When i go to turn my key in to talk to them about it and wasn't able to do that.He said leve key and hung up.I probably will never stay here again.
- Willie (10/5): - It was good
- Verified traveler (10/5): A+ Stay - Cold room, friendly staff. Good food nearby
- Verified traveler (10/5): A+ stay - Clean, quiet, good AC. Nearby food. Friendly staff. A+
- RickyT (10/5): - Clean and staff are responsive to your needs. I have stayed here on my last two trips to Northern MS. Price is good and I will stay again in future.
- Chuck (4/5): No way - TLDR; Never again
Reserved 2 queen beds got full size beds. I just sleep on a queen bed in hattiesburg last weekend Clerk says they are queen size, i must have stayed on a queen XL. Nope XL means Extra Long not extra wide. Bathroom needs cleaning. If the room houses 4 people put towels for 4 in the room. Needs updating, its like walking into the 70's.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The shower did not drain, there was no continental breakfast, there was no toilet paper in the room, there is black mold in the shower, the carpet is peeling away from the walls, the heater blew out a terrible burning smell and we could not turn it on (it was 32 degrees that night).
- Verified traveler (2/5): A bug motel - In down for a wedding. Decided to stay in hotel that said they were recently remodeled. I noticed something on my pillow 2 hours after arriving. Lucky for me, my husband is a pest control tech. After investigation, he discovered a family of bedbugs living in the hotel. We brought it to management’s attention who loudly argued with my husband. They offered another room. Checked in there. What did we find? You guessed it. Another family of bugs. Looks like the remodel didn’t consist of cleaning out the bugs.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - You can better rate if you call versus going through Expedia.
- Phebe (2/5): Worst experience! - Didn’t stay! Place was squalid. Had 15 minutes to notify in order to get refund.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothi g your site lied no pool the gym ypu could not get in and no handicapp accessibilities and already charged refund my money this an atrosity.
- Paul (8/5): Pleasant Stay - No frills hotel with very pleasant front desk. Clean and reasonably comfortable. Plenty of space and seating in room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible place! - I've never in my life have I seen a hotel look as nasty as this one had. I had to switch my room three times because the first one the bath tub was so dirty it looked like it never was clean and there was a huge roach on the floor. The second room it was a bug in both beds and dirty tub and another roach on the floor. Third one the tub was dirty but no bugs. I only stayed because the place down the street had no rooms. All of my family said if someone would have asked the locates they all would have said don't stay at that hotel because it's not clean. The man and the women were saying oh a bug is okay like it's normal to bugs in your room or bed. They didn't think any of it was a problem.
- Ava (6/5): Okay for an overnight stay...Pets are not allowed - The sheets were a bit rough, but we only needed it for the night. We chose them because Expedia stated it was pet friendly, but it turns out pets aren't allowed. We were allowed to stay if we paid a pet fee and opted for the smoking room. At the late hour in a small MS town with poor cell service...we were grateful for the desk clerk's courtesy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This hotel is ok, clean, quiet , staff are nice. Recommend!
- Ronald (6/5): Could be better - It was convenient for what we were in town for. The air conditioner worked great!! The pool was shut down.
- james (10/5): GREAT STAY - it was nice clean rooms friendly staff a very good value for the price
- Dan (8/5): Quiet and Comforatble - The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet.
I had a pleasant and restful stay.
Thank you Briarwood Inn!
- Matthew (10/5): Two thumbs up - I’ve been staying at the Briarwood Inn every year for the last 5 years for an event I vend at. Briarwood Inn has new owners and they have definitely done a great job cleaning up the hotel and creating a better atmosphere. Looking forward to booking again next year.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Construction/Remoldling. Put in room by the work crew. Too loud.
- Kevin (8/5): - Friendly staff, beds were ok, a little too soft for us but were clean. Good sized TV in room and had DirecTV. Something in the room did make our sinuses stop up, not sure what other than just an older motel
- Jerry (8/5): Very comfortable and value for the cost rooms... - I totally enjoyed my stay... The Hotel is within walking distance of anything you need.
The staff is excellent and VERY responsive to your needs.
I highly recommend this facility to anyone visiting the Amory Mississippi area.....
- MSU Fan (8/5): Great motel for the price!!! - We stayed here while visiting Mississippi State & going to a game. This was close (about an hour), the motel is old and fairly dated but very clean and the staff was great. We'll definitely stay here next time we visit MSU.
- Tom (6/5): Typical old structure in a small town. - Didn't expect much or pay too much. King bed was lumpy and woke up with a back ache. Pillows are dusty and old. Glad I brought my own. One roach and one grasshopper. Spider in the shower.
Good direct tv and large screen. Room was clean. Breakfast included by was non existent.
Coffee, sugar, milk, powder creamer. Cereal, no fruit nothing else.
Good location in walking distance of fast food, grocery and drugstore.
Town is in the middle of nowhere but a quaint and friendly little down. Just love those southern gals.
- Annette S. (10/5): excellent - Stay was excellent. Good location . would definitely come back again
- david wehunt (10/5): Better than I would of thought. - The room and staff were amazing! We stayed there for about 4 days, needed up leaving on name basis. For a small town the hotel itself was great. The only problem were flies. But they were everywhere in the town.
- Tamara R (6/5): Would recommend - Very clean , comfortable and the staff was very pleasant and helpful
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not bad, not many choices in the small town. - Overall ok -- not many choices in a small town. Bathroom needs some work -- grout around the tub was dark.
- Verified traveler (8/5): The Family Hotel - I have stayed there before when traveling to Amory, however this trip was disappointing with the the continental breakfast selection. After the first day the selection went way down hill and was not restocked. I arrived on a Thursday and departed on Monday. There are restaurants within walking distance of the Briarwood but I did not want to do that much walking so early.
- wj50 (8/5): Getaway - Had a very enjoyable time. Room clean, staff very friendly. Pets allowed excellent. Close to various fast food places and a grocery store next door.
