They share the insider knowledge (particular shoutout for the beautiful walk through the countryside to get to an excellent coffee farm visit) and want to make sure you have a comfortable stay. They both spent extra time chatting with me about travel options and suggestions. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast lovely. The property is lush and open; they are in the process of renovating some of the grounds so I imagine it will be even nicer soon! Verdadamente, una experiencia linda y impresionante. Andrés y Jenny son anfritriones excelentes, muy cariñosos y con buenas sugerencias. Sin cuestión, se hicieron mejor mis vacaciones. Gracias! Street noise dies off around 11 PM and starts around 6 AM so tough to sleep in.

Nos ayudaron con las maletas y estuvieron súper atentos desde antes de nuestra llegada, incluso nos enviaron mensajes por WhatsApp para guiarnos y asegurarse de que no nos perdiéramos. Jenny y Andrés se lucieron con su atención, fueron increíbles. Desde el primer momento nos dieron recomendaciones personalizadas para visitar el Valle del Cocora, Salento y Filandia. Además, ¡los desayunos deliciosos y nos los llevaban hasta la habitación! Mi esposo quedó encantado con cada detalle. La habitación fue súper cómoda, perfecta para descansar después de un día de paseos, y las instalaciones del hotel estaban siempre limpias y muy bien organizadas. Se nota el cuidado en cada rincón. También nos recomendaron visitar los termales de Santa Rosa y ellos mismos se encargaron de comprarnos las entradas. No tuvimos que preocuparnos por nada, solo disfrutar. Todo lo pagamos al hacer el check-out, lo cual fue súper cómodo. Recomendamos este hotel a ojo cerrado. Su atención es de otro nivel. Si pudiéramos darle 100 estrellas, lo haríamos. ¡Gracias chicos por hacer de nuestra estadía una experiencia espectacular!

The staff were so friendly and kind - I had food posioning 2 days prior to arriving and they were so helpful and checked in on me often. The hot water shower was amazing and the bed was huge and comfortable. 10/10.

We had suffered several delays and lost luggage and so we arrived at the property extremely stressed. Andre and the team were very generous with their attention and care. They even followed up with the airline to help trace our bags which we were eventually able to find!!! Nothing at all. This is a great stay!

The couple who runs the place not only looked after us in the most considerate manner but also organised everything for us. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Only that we had to leave. - Janella (8/5): Very good - The staff was very nice and attentive. The property was about 10 min drive to Salento town and Valle del Cocora. Breakfast was included and delivered to us in the morning. I love that the property was in nature but since it was next to the road you can hear all the transportations passing by. They also have laundry service. For a family of 5 the room was a bit small, but we only stayed for 3 nights and we spent all day outside the property.

The location is perfect, you can explore the whole coffee region…super close to Salento and Valle del Cocora. Filandia and Armenia are only 20 minutes away. We stayed 8 days with our children, and they loved it. So much to do and see, we will be back for sure and would definitely stay here again!

- Mark (8/5): - This quaint property located just outside of Solento is 7 years old and recently took on new management. The hotel currently has 6 guest rooms, each room was extremely clean and tidy with all the necessary facilities. Located outside the rooms is a lovely sitting area with scattered seating and couches including a tea and coffee station. The outside dining area is absolutely beautiful featuring tables running alongside the river providing a serene environment. The host and owner Andres was the most wonderful, accommodating, friendly, caring and thankful person we have ever met in the hospitality scene. As well travelled people, this speaks volumes, he could not do more for us and was so grateful that we chose Tierra Maravilla. If I was to criticise anything, my only comment would be that the food at the restaurant wasn’t great but with several eateries close by and the town only a 10 minute drive away, we did have other choices. The rooms don’t have block out blinds but the sound of the river lulled us all to sleep. The nights are very quiet but you may hear some road noise in the mornings. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

She was always quick to respond and helped us coordinate most of our activities in the area with people she knew would help deliver an amazing experience for us, from our driver , to our guides, it was a special trip. The breakfast was excellent and Jenny made sure our breakfast was ready first thing as we were leaving early each morning for our activities. I can’t say enough about Jenny and Andres as hosts, they’re the most wonderful people! Nothing, everything here was exceptional. Jenny and Andres and their staff go over and beyond to make your stay here amazing!

This hotel is spectacular, starting with its administrators: Jenny and Andrés. They are excellent hosts, friendly, always willing. We continue with the beautiful decoration, everything super clean, the comforts are spectacular, all this makes you feel at home. I really wouldn't hesitate to come back and recommend it to you.

- Sasha (8/5): a very friendly family-run hotel with super nice and helpful owners! - Just outside Salento (10 minutes by car) you will find this friendly hotel run by Jenny and Andres. the owners do everything they can to make you happy and they succeed! Jenny and Andres are incredibly helpful and also speak English. If you don't want to be in the busy city center, this is a good place. Clean rooms, very large bed, nice breakfast with good coffee and from here we could easily make trips to the Cocora Valley. Good to know: the garden now looks a bit different than in the photos: it has now become a restaurant. The advantage is that you don't necessarily have to go into town if you want a bite to eat. You can sit outside on the large terrace. Friendly staff! The hotel is located on a fairly busy road. advantage: easy to drive to and easy to park there. disadvantage: you hear the traffic. But we still thought this was better than the busy city center of Salento.
