Raitavius (9/5): This is a great getaway for family or couples. - The property was amazing, this was a very spontaneous and unplanned trip for us. This was very much worth the trip and time spent here. From check-in to check out we had a great time on this property. Will be returning again soon. The WiFi is very spotty. It took us a very long time to get through a movie. If you have a good hotspot on your phone though you should be fine.

west (3/5): Decent little cabins, dangerous exterior building buildings. - The location was great. Everything in the surrounding area was beautiful kind of hard to get into the main part of town due to traffic in the mornings, but other than that, it was great. On the first night I caught a mouse in the trash I double bagged it was both trash bags that were provided and took it to the dumpster outside. Since there is not a 24 hour number, I waited until the next morning to call and let them know… the lady that I spoke to was not very apologetic, and offered no resolution to there being mice in my cabin. I told her that someone from housekeeping would need to minimum bring me trash bags. I stayed three nights and that never happened. Most of the exterior facilities and buildings were decrepit, the pool area was a pit and a danger to any smaller children that might go into that area as there was no gate remaining to keep people out. The marina Boardwalk itself had rotted boards, the fishing pier also had rotted boards and was a danger. I had asked someone on the marina why it was this way and he had said that the people that owned the marina and resort had just all of a sudden stopped taking care of it.

Alba (7/5): My experience - My experience It is easy to find the place, you enter by a narrow street, when you are almost at the place there are a lot of holes in the way. The property looks a little abandoned, but when you enter the cabin it is as described, it is well maintained, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, but the sofa is not very comfortable and it doesn’t feel very stable. In the bathroom, the sink was uncomfortable because it was inclined and it looked like it was going to fall. The view and proximity to the lake was perfect. I would improve the parking space and the signs because they were not very clear. And the Wi-Fi is not very good. I booked the cabin for three nights, we arrived on Friday afternoon and the lake was not that full, but on Saturday and Sunday it was packed. And I wondered where all the people came from. The parking lot was full of cars, the people on the lake had speakers blasting music and some people were smoking and having fights. Sunday night, the police arrived and made all the people who had no reservation leave the property and the whole parking lot was emptied out. This made me think is the place actually private or not? I really liked the cabin and the place but because of what happened Sunday night and because I couldn’t have a peaceful day in the lake because it was crowded, I would think twice about staying in this place again.

Much (10/5): A true getaway! - Peaceful with trees, waterfront, and birds singing ... all without the sound of traffic and other sound pollution. Places to go for "nature walks" were on property and nearby. Colors of a Caribbean flare on the cabins gave a sense of vacation fun. Cabin was surprisingly neat and clean and cozy for me. Not what I expected for the term "cabin", especially with the blonde colored paneling. Cheery. The driveway entering the area was quite broken up, needing to go over and around potholes and crevices at a snail's pace to not mess up the suspension or tires. But still passable nonetheless. The beach sand could be more cleaned up.

Had to go out and buy pots and pans. Call the office twice about it friday and why we were gone they sent somebody. But they never came back after we told them we were out getting pots. And the floor had a tear. The loft bed look like someone had slept on it.

JENNIFER (4/5): Fine for what we needed, as we only really slept at the property. - I appreciated the space the cabin afforded us, as opposed to staying in a small hotel room. The property and facilities are very run down. I’m sure at one time it was very nice, but many of the amenities were broken, including the heating units in our original cabin. The small beach area had lounge chairs, all of which were broken. The little playground area for kids was also horribly run down and unsafe. There were no board games as advertised, we also did not have a grill at our site as advertised.

We couldn't hear the Tv unless we yelled. The beach part of the lake had nothing but broken chairs. The road in was full of potholes.

Joerg (3/5): Leider Kakerlaken - Lage wunderschön am See. Tolle kleine Häuschen. Wirklich idyllisch, ABER…. Wir hatten ein Häuschen mit 2 Schlafzimmern gebucht. Leider hatte es keine Terrasse - wie in der Beschreibung beschrieben. Personal aber bemüht, konnten uns zwei Häuser mit nur einem Schlafzimmer noch angucken und blieben dann doch beim ersten Haus. Es ist wirklich schön, es war auch sauber (zumindest auf den ersten Blick), ABER: wir hatten zwei Nächte gebucht und sind nach einer Nacht geflüchtet, da abends die Kakerlaken aus allen Ecken rauskamen. Es war echt ekelig und ja, es ist mitten in der Natur - Spinnen habe ich erwartet, aber Kakerlaken und so viele, das geht einfach nicht (Thailandurlaub erlebt, also Erfahrungswerte vorhanden). Trotz des stolzen Preises haben wir noch nachts eine neue Unterkunft gebucht, um uns und unserer kleinen Tochter dies nicht unnötig noch eine Nacht zuzumuten. Wer bei Kakerlaken also empfindlich ist, sollte dort nicht buchen.

This was really a non issue - but our first cabin developed an ac issue over night. But the staff quickly responded and relocated us to another unit. Misty (8/5): Funeral - Location Twin beds needs to be more comfortable "too thin felt like you where laying on floor or wood from bunk bed" thicker pillows and thicker blanket
Hawa (7/5): Good - The cabin amenities were great. The landscaping and area area the lake. It could use some cleaning up to make lounging pleasurable. The couch in the cabin not very comfortable and TV was small makes viewing difficult.

Brooke (9/5): Superb - The location is really cool, long cove marina has much more character than most rentals in CLT The road in and out of the marina is one lane ment to operate as a two lane street and completely full of potholes. It makes driving in a regular car sketchy.

Nicole (8/5): It was still a relaxing stay. Some upgrades are - The peace and sound of being by the lakes. The bed was very comfortable I slept like a baby. The inside of the tiny house was nice. There was 2 dead roaches. 1 in the bathroom and the other in one of the bedrooms. The bathroom door handle was broken. The road to get up to the resorts was very damaged maybe paving that road is a great suggestion.

Sherri (8/5): We enjoyed our short time there. My son was playing in a baseball tournament & the location was perfect. - Loved that it was near the water. The place was clean & location was great. The road to get there was a little bumpy, other than that it was quite nice.

Mala (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful view, comfortable and very clean. Just perfect! The view was amazing! Bed was comfortable. Just a cozy little place.

Luis (9/5): Great location in the lake and still close proximity to everything. - Location is great, right close to everything. Great views, and scenery. People smoking weed right outside our unit was displeasing. The property manager's response was phenomenal. He offered us another unit further away. We ended up not using the other unit because the people had left.
Raymond (8/5): Nice seperation from Charlotte hussle and bussle - Nice area, a bit crunched up with other units but certainly better than a hotel. If you are renting this unit you certainly get what you expect! Road could use work but pot holes likely helps with limiting car speeds. WiFi was quite sporadic, with disconnecting. But again hotels have same issue!

Liked the beach area with the grandbabies The beds were awful, the TV wouldn't work, there was no true place to fish even though it offers you to fish big part of why we booked, no check out instructions at all, my grandson spilled some water and when I went to wipe it up the towel was dirty because the floors were dirty.
