• Sally (9/5): Good base for exploring seongsan - The location was very close to Seongsan Ilchulbong (sunrise peak) and the haenyeo divers restaurant and demonstration. The room we chose had a partial view of the peak and water glimpses. It has off street parking Close to many restaurants and today ferry to Udo. The restaurant downstairs which specialises in Jeju black pork was excellent. The mattress was a little too firm for us.

• Jaden (6/5): Do not recommend. - Location is very good, it is clean and air conditioner working perfectly. There are basically no wifi at all, 95% of time there is no connection. Also don't except a sea view. Although, on the booking.com web page it said there will be a sea view but no there isn't. You are either facing the street or other building. Next, the wall is super thin, I could hear people from next room. Also, every morning when someone check out they will clean the room and it is noisy. Lastly, 50% of the time there is no HOT WATER for showering!!!!!

• Wanderwoman (5/5): Very Basic and Affordable Hotel in a Great Location - The host was very responsive and stayed in touch with me throughout my travel to the property after I took the wrong bus. He greeted me on arrival and carried my suitcase up to the room, and I never saw him again. The host lives on site on the second floor. They do not speak much English but are helpful if you ask. It is a agreat location just a short walk to Sunrise Peak and the Haenyeo Diver rest area. The room was clean but and large but lacked some basic amenities including: a fitted sheet to cover the mattress, bath towels (there was a basket of a dozen small hand towels to dry off, no regular size bath towels), a small table by the bed with a lamp (the only light is the harsh flourescent overhead light), and a small closet. There are two hooks on the wall, and each had a hanger.

The owner was very nice and offered free transportation to the ferry pier to Udo. His restaurant served tasty BBQ pork at a very reasonable price. We were very happy with our stay at the pension. The location.

• Weipeng (9/5): Nice stay - The pension was within walking distance to Seongsan Ilchulbong and close to many restaurants. Nice place to stay in. The rooms were very cold. Although the floor was heated, the rooms were still cold. Maybe it was because of the rainy weather but I would advise warm clothing if you visit in winter.

• Vernice (8/5): Great Stay near Seongsan Ilchulbong - Sea Dragon Pension resides in an excellent location for exploring the area around Seongsan Ilchulbong, which is a 5 minute walk away. There are many great restaurants and cafes and convenience stores around, which make eating a breeze. There are also bus stops right in front of the apartment building, which makes travelling an ease if you do not drive. Not really what I didn't like, but something to take note of... I booked a room with a washing machine but it came without one. However, the owner offered to let us switch room, an offer we did not take up as we wanted the view of Seongsan IIlculbong. We were allowed to use the washing machine in the other room, which luckily was unoccupied throughout our stay.
• Stacy (7/5): Alright stay - Location was excellent. We had a car for this leg of the trip, and luckily we were given a spot to park on the property. It looked like there were 4 spots, but it was in a square formation, so we parked on one of the outside spots (nearest the side walk). The check-in process was a bit difficult. I think the host (limited English) of this premises works in the restaurant below, so if they don't answer the (door) bell at the check-in desk, you can call them (your own phone), or go downstairs. We checked in after 10PM due to delayed flights from Pohang. Our Wise and Revolut cards didn't seem to want to work at the check-in window, so we went downstairs to use the EFTPOS machine there. There are at least two floors of rooms -- we stayed in room 301, so we climbed two flights of stairs. The room itself was large, and the bathroom was alright, but not big enough to not get the toilet wet when taking a shower. There was a basket of about 8-10 towels, which was really good to have, and a small terrace with a drying rack. Hair dryer and combs were available for use in the drawers under the TV. There was a kitchenette with a small fridge, two electric burners, one basin for dishes. We didn't use any of the kitchen facilities except the sink. There's a split system as well, but you need to go downstairs to the staff to ask for the remote. No outlet near the bed. The closest is at the foot of the bed at the TV. I can't speak for the road noise. I sleep with earplugs, but my partner seemed to have no issues. The host offers rides to the ferry, though it is only a 12 minute walk to the ferry. I think parking is for a fee, but we walked so I can't confirm. I'd recommend this accommodation for the location, but I think I'd give another business a try next time. WiFi was finicky. Check for mosquitoes/bugs before you sleep. I was bitten a few times and so was my partner. There were some weird-looking bites, and I checked the bed for bedbugs and other critters, but couldn't find anything other than mosquitoes. At least there was a can of bug killer in the TV drawer. Floor was slippery in some areas, especially around the chairs at the dining table. Instructions to check in were very limited, but we got there in the end. We didn't know which way to enter the building. "Someone will meet you on location. We live in second floor. Come and press the bell, we'll meet you." I wasn't all that impressed that I had to go to a different premises to ask for the remote for the split system. If it is advertised, shouldn't it be readily available?
• Tak (10/5): Do you wish to watch sunrise at Seongsan - just stay here - Location was excellent 1. Less than 10 mins walk to Seongsan - great for catching early sunrise 2. If travelling by bus, there is a bus stop right outside. Easy transfers to Jeju-si or Seogwipo. I even managed to travel inland to Bijarim forest, albeit it takes time due to infrequent buses. Very comfortable bed with large bathroom. Laundry facilities available The accomodation is excellent. Area is ultra touristy so be prepared for restaurants prices to be marked up.

• Catryn (8/5): Fantastic location - would recommend - The position of the pension was fantastic and as described. Very central, making it easy to get everywhere on foot. It was as described - I was only there for two nights; but having a fridge and cooking facilities is great. The bed was a little too hard for me but may be fine for others. There was nothing else not to like!

There was no room service during the whole stay. The hosts do not really speak much English so have to rely on the app to translate.

There is an electric stove and some pots and utensils in the room, but I didn't use them as there are plenty of good food around and in the pension. Great location to the pier and Seongsan. Though the owner did provide morning transport to the pier for Udo, we were not able to cross over to Udo due to bad weather as the ferry was cancelled. Not enough hooks in the shower to hang towels after use.

• Jidan (7/5): Near to Ilchubong - 2mins drive from the Ilchubong. Accommodation is above a restaurant and I just parked infront of the restaurant. Booked for the room with futon beds for experience. It was hard T_T so we used all 4 futon beds for 2 of us (still hard). Took some time to sleep but we managed to sleep throughout. :) Sunrise information was readily available at the check-in counter. No lift. No smart tv. No info on how to use the aircon. Only managed to on it by trial and error. Bath towels were small but we did not request for bigger ones as it was already late. 3mins walk to 711. Wanted to buy breakfast before our sunrise hike the next day but to our dismay, the 711 was closed. :O

Cependant ètant que touristes - voyageurs ce qui me semble vraiment indispensable c'est de prendre un douche en rentrant et de pouvoir dormir. Entre l'eau chaude par intermittence et du bruit jusque tres tard dans la nuit venant de l'etage des proprietaires les 3 soirs où nous sommes resté il est difficile de dire que le logement nous a satisfait..

• Connie (8/5): 近長途車站、城山日出峰、碼頭和食店 - 位置極佳，方便但晚上寧靜，房間可看到城山日出峰，不過會有部分被其他樓遮擋。老闆/職員很好，阿姨知道我要去牛島，馬上開車送我去碼頭（其實走路也不遠，當然坐車大大省時和舒適），雖然她不會中英文，但很熱情地指示我到哪購票和上船；第二天離開時，大叔問我要到哪，又指示我到哪坐公車。房間超大，有私人衛浴和開放式廚房！不算新但清潔。

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good location and reasonable price for a homestay - We like the location as it is not too far to walk to the famous Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise peak) and also took us to walk about 15-20 mins to the ferry port to U-do island. We took the 'ondol' room to sleep on the floor, but in winter, it takes us some times for the floor to warm up. The only downside to us is that there is no elevator, so if you have a lots of luggage or heavy luggage, you may find some trouble to carry to 3rd floor.
