Guest Reviews

- Stewart (6/5): - Plenty of.room for.two Air conditioning stopped in the main lounge/kitchen area due to a dirty filter, which I had to clean. Also noted a very dirty condenser on the main bedroom unit. Couldn't open the bifold window between the kitchen and the outdoor area as it was.locked and none of the staff knew how to unlock it. The pool had tiles missing and there was rotten timber on the stairs down to the villa.
- Rod (10/5): Absolutely beautiful place comfortable homely and so close to town - Peaceful Nothing
- Amelia (9/5): Tranquil villa - we'll be back - This is the second time we have stayed at this Villa, we really like it, the pool area is beautiful and we personally love the pool room to stay in. The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay, completely self contained. We would happily stay again in the future. I love all the features that make it feel like a getaway in Bali, the gardens, decor etc are just lovely.
- Bee (10/5): Never want to leave... - This is our 5th trip to Port Douglas and we found this beautiful villa extremely clean and well maintained.
We selected it as a backdrop for our photo shoot for our new organic Latitude 16 gin and the shots came out perfectly! Excellent property management company (The Boutique Collection) and the owner was incredibly responsive. The location is fabulous, easy walking distance to shops. We loved the large pool and private gardens. We had intended to eat out a lot but we enjoyed being there so much that we mainly cooked at the villa. The BBQ was clean and a delight to cook on. Looking forward to returning. Yes, there are a lot of stairs down to the property but if you are of reasonable fitness, it's not a problem. If you have mobility issues this is not the property for you. The noise from the bars and clubs on the weekends is significant in the evenings. If it bothers you, bring earplugs. Honestly though, it's not a big deal if you come prepared. This villa is actually very quiet and private most of the time.
- sarah (10/5): Fantastic - Great location, able to walk to everything in Port Douglas but a private oasis of your own. Already noted by others, lots of stairs to accommodation, would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
- Rhys (10/5): Wonderful - A lovely oasis - lived up to the description Quite a lot of noise from adjacent nightlife from pubs etc, but nothing can be done about that. Not a complaint, but the description of lots of stairs for Villa access is genuine.
- ismay (8/5): - The property is situated on a very step hill so is not suitable for people struggling with stairs or step hills. The parking was absolutely impossible to get in and out of. There was also no parking on the due to the tradies parking the whole way along the road. Two huge projects are happening so noisey. Apart from that the place was great.
- gil (8/5): - Good location. Very good service.
There many stairs to walk to the villa so if you have alot of luggde thats an issue. The place is clean though not thoroughly.

- Deborah (8/5): Loved the Villa , but location noisy .Have booked Villa on the beach for next visit - Loved the Villa and location
We go to Port Douglas every year and love it . The villa itself is wonderful .
However the 2 villas ( that are a separate property) are above the fence line .
At times very noisy with squealing children in the swimming pools .
Also lots of noise from Macrossan st from bars and glass being emptied into bins at all hours !
- Gordon (7/5): Great place, but noisy. Would be great for people without young kids. - Amazing pool. The 5 bedroom villa on the east side of the property was rented out by a group of young people who has their Bluetooth speaker on all day which meant it was pretty noisy. Struggles to get our kids to sleep with the noise.
- Dwayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (5/5): We did not think the property met our high expectations. - The location was good in terms of its proximity to Macrossan Street. We also enjoyed the pool & the fact that it was heated. The music from the hotels went quite late into the night & made sleeping not easy. The main bedroom has no block out blinds & we were woken very early by the morning sun.We had an issue with our bathroom not being able to be opened on our second day & initially we felt that we were inconveniencing the Boutique staff. To their credit they ended up calling a locksmith & the issue was resolved.
- Renee (10/5): Next time I go to PD, I’ll be booking here, hands down! - It was STUNNING!!! I would book again in an instant and I would recommend everyone else does too. Only that what I thought was a jacuzzi at the top of the pool there, was not. It’s the same temp as the pool. Tiny detail that made no difference once I learned that.
- Heath (6/5): Location was great but property would benefit from some maintenance. - Location was amazing. We could walk to the Main Street and the beach. Code didn’t work but property helped to sort it out quickly House was not as clean as expected and there were some maintenance issues. Could not work out some of fans and lights. The drive and garage were very tight to get in and out of. We were not aware there were so many steps to the property and some railing were in need of repair.
- Juha (8/5): Very good - Nice clean house in a perfect position, well apart the number of stairs... That driveway and its steel angle bolted to the driveway, I guess to stop the gates, really scratched the bottom of the car. It was raining a downpour at the time so couldn't see it. It's gone now thanks to the bottom of the car. Also, the light/fan switches are in need of updating.
- Caroline (9/5): Although the above was a little annoying we absolutely loved our stay there and would recommend it. - The style of the property and that we had a private pool. Would recommend a stay here but bookers should be aware that there are lots of stairs and very steep driveway. It could have been a little cleaner as there was quite a bit of dust. There were also cockroaches so we had to get pest killer. There was no gas in the bbq bottle so we had to get that replaced but it took until the next day to do so. No instructions for appliances. We were asked to turn off aircon when leaving but there was no way to do this as there were no controllers.
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect, villa was beautiful, has all things you could possibly need!
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (10/5): Fantastic resort style living in the heart of Port Douglas! - Location was superb, simple two minute walk to the heart of Port Douglas. The villa itself is a Balinese work of art, with multiple living areas and courtyards, and a fantastic heated pool where we spent a lot of time. Plenty of fan and air-con options, we were very happy to be here. The driveway is quite tricky to use for everyday car use so we just parked our rental on the roadside.
- Coogan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (7/5): wonderful relaxing in private pool with friends - location & the Balinese theme very narrow driveway to get a SUV into Garage, parked in the Rd outside property.
noise from main St at night.
- Catherine (6/5): Pleasant -
- Melissa (9/5): Our Honeymoon was incredible! ☺️ thank you! - the property was incredible! we were lost for words
when we entered the property because of how amazing it was! the air conditioning saved us because we aren’t used to the humidity. the tv being high up was excellent as we could lay back on the couches and relax and watch tv without having to position ourselves for a low sitting tv.
the house has everything! the bathrooms are stunning, with garden views when you open the window blinds, the kitchen full of all things needed to cook, the yard a bbq and outdoor dining area with the kitchen windows slide opening to make it like a bar! the pool house attached to the yard and pool! the person plunge pool ( the water was very warm so we didn’t use it much) but phenomenal set up. The beds extremely comfortable! staff were incredibly accommodating too! drove us to the property from Main Street after looking after our bags all day. then helped with the bags down the stairs to the villa! we had the most amazing time! the stairs to take luggage down (approximately 5-6 sets) made it very difficult with suitcases BUT the staff drove us to the property and they also had a gentleman take our bags down the stairs when we checked in, we just had to take them up when we checked out!
there were gaps between the French sliding doors all around the property which allowed wildlife into the villa. we had multiple tree frogs, geckos and other lizards make themselves comfortable in the villa day and night! luckily I am a massive animal lover and didn’t mind that, but for others that could have been a bad thing. the gaps are fairly large. it also meant the humidity and heat had easy access into the villa too.
It was a little disappointing that the pool was warm (not the property’s fault, just the humidity and heat)
- Mark (8/5): it was great - The lack of information about location of the villa it self and the stairs and needs upgrades in the likes of cooking facilities ie: Toaster
- Louise (8/5): This villa is amazing, it’s a shame about the noise! - The villa is beautiful & very private. It was very good for our small family. We loved the style, we really felt like we were in Bali. The pool is great and there’s everything supplied that you’ll need. The pool house room was amazing, great for the parents! The location is great, it’s a quick walk to the Main Street. The villa was not very clean, especially in the outdoor area and inside behind couches, some spiderwebs in the corners. Easy to fix! Also this property is located very close to the loudest bar in town, and it’s so loud at this house you’ll feel like you’re at the pub in the evenings. We got good at going to sleep with the music pumping.
