• Corran (10/5): - This is a lovely place to stay - surprisingly quiet in a busy part of town. The host got in touch the day before to check our arrival time and sent us the address in Korean to help the taxi driver. She met us very promptly at the door and showed us to the room, which was very comfortable and welcoming. One morning we were able to arrange a Korean breakfast, which was delicious. All in all, a lovely experience in a beautiful property. I'm glad we chose to stay at Soi Hanok!

The property was amazing and cute and right in the heart of Hwangnamdong where all of the restaurants and bars are. Everything is in walking distance, the tombs, the observatory, the bridge and lake! Everything that we wanted to see was in walking distance but another day to head out to Pohang for the spacewalk would have been ideal too. Location was excellent, our host went out of her way from chatting to the taxi driver en route to the hanok, providing a delicious delivered breakfast, suggesting restaurants- both of which we ate at and loved, and arranging a big taxi for our departure (our cases were too big for a sedan.) I’d been recommended Soi Hanok by a friend who’d stayed there and I’d also recommend it. A great stay in a great town with wonderful hospitality.

She made us feel welcome from the start and went out of her way to help us, even assisting with our laundry. We are also very grateful for the Korean breakfast that was offered during our stay — such a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more special. The location is perfect, right in the historic area and within walking distance of Gyeongju’s main attractions, cafés, and restaurants. We are so grateful for the hospitality and highly recommend Soi Hanok Stay to anyone visiting Gyeongju.

We were able to navigate the bus without any difficulty. I loved the sitting room in the back of our hanok. Everything was lovely and it was one of my favorite stays on my trip. From the moment I arrived I knew this place was special. The old Hanok buildings give a sense of stepping into another world. My room was exactly as pictured, with comfortable and very stylish furnishings, clean and easy to get to all the sights the city had to offer. At night it was extremely quiet and easy to relax after a long day. Would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend for anyone looking for an off the beaten path visit!

Cant recommend Soi Hanoi enough for travelers in Gyeongju! Hanok (Korean traditional home) with a modern touch makes Soi Hanok a special and memorable place to stay in Gyeongju. The host met us at the street in front and gave us instructions on door locks and amenities. The room is roomy enough but it would have been nice if it also provides a small table and chairs to sit on (it has enough space for them) instead of just the 2 beds. The amenities are adequate except there’s only a small rack to hang a few pieces of clothing. Our friends had the bigger toom that costs $100 a day more and was roomier as well as having chairs to sit on but was the only room available. Renting the larger room would have been better and recommended

• Young Hwa (10/5): - Sori Hanok Stay is beautifully designed and well maintained. The zen like suite has plenty of space with a balcony/terrace, and heated floors. The bed was nice and firm. The area surrounding the property was full of nice restaurants and shops. The welcoming gift of sparkling moscado and ramen noodles were a nice touch. I highly recorecommend this place when visiting Gyeongju!

• Sally (10/5): Would love to revisit - It was a perfect blend of traditional with the comfort of modern world. Host was so welcoming and helpful. Location was prime yet off beat street nearby for peace and quiet. There are 3 units and we occupied 2 so I felt safe leaving my tween in the room while adults exploring at night.
• Jordan (10/5): In the heart of Gyeongju Hanok village - Perfect stay from a day trip in Gyeongju. Soi Hanok Stay is situated in the heart of the Hanok village, with many shops and restaurants nearby. The room is well furnished and provides an unique experience and atmosphere. It comes with a certain serenity vibe, which is consistent through Gyeongju.
• Kyle (10/5): Delightful Stay in Gyeongju - This was a wonderful location. The host was extremely communicative and reached out early to make sure we were able to find the location. We arrived slightly later in the evening and she came over to show us inside and explain various details about the stay. The location is quite secure with multiple electronic locks. The room I stayed in (Challa) was clean and charming. The renovations done by the host kept the original charm of the housing but also provided many modern comforts such as thermostat-controlled in floor heating, AC for the summer, a spacious and clean shower, and a separated bathroom. The room also contained a sink, fridge with some free water, a TV, a small table with cushions, a complementary bottle of wine and wine glasses, and some cup noodles and tea. As it was cold during my visit we greatly appreciated the heating and were comfortable sleeping and chatting in the room. Between the consideration of the host and the charm and comfort of the room itself, I would happily recommend this stay to anyone looking to experience a Hanok Stay and I would definitely stay here again if I return to Gyeongju.

• HJ (10/5): Loved it! - It was our first hanok-style lodging experience, so we don't have anything to compare it to, but our stay overall was excellent. First, it was a beautiful property. They really paid attention to details and made sure the experience was as authentic as possible without compromising comfort. We also loved that the suite felt a bit removed from the other guests on the premises since we weren't sharing walls. Second, the place is right in the middle of Hwanglidangil, which is the epicenter of all the restaurants, cafes, and shops in the area. It was also a very short walk to some of the main attractions in Gyeongju. We really loved our stay at Soi Hanok and would stay there again if we are in Gyeongju in the future.
• Chun Rui Michelle (10/5): - Lovely spot to stay in while exploring Gyeongju, nice and central. It was really comfy with heated flooring for the colder season, and our host was super responsive and helpful.
