• Carol (8/5): Although not within walking distance of the Royal Mile, this location is well served by bus routes. - The concierge staff was superb. Breakfasts were well stocked and offered a variety of options. The location was excellent for Lothian Bus routes 1, 34, and 35 and two blocks from route 27; two minute drive from the Haymarket Airport Tram. Within walking distance are some nice restaurants. The room was comfortable; had control of the thermostat, had a TV, hair dryer, iron and board. Could have used more towels of both sizes. I did ask for an extra and was gladly given one.
• Mohammad Dawar (8/5): Overall comfortable clean rooms with a good location but staff needs to be trained better. - The rooms were very clean and the washrooms were really well maintained as well. To be very honest, the behaviour of some of the staff members was very subpar. On our last day, at around 9 AM, someone randomly tries to open our door when we were asleep. This person had a keycard and I’m thankful that I had applied the doorstopper otherwise he was going to come into my room completely unannounced. After attempting to open the door and failing, he now bangs on the door and claims to be from Maintenance. Really unprofessional and really ruined our morning. Additionally some members of the reception were also a bit rude, eg we asked our room to be cleaned but the receptionist responded with oh we don’t have those services? Excuse me this is a hotel associated with Hilton? And you guys don’t have housekeeping? And then another receptionist (he was of asian origin, very well spoken man very good) told us that yes it is available and we’ll schedule it for your room. This is stuff you expect from a cheap hotel not from the Hampton.

• Susan (7/5): Good hotel 25mins from Royal Mile. Nice rooms and good choice of hot and cold breakfast - Good choice at the breakfast buffet. Rooms well appointed, however it seems every room has a interconnecting door to another room! If you don't like walking into town find out more about the bus services in and around Edinburgh, there are a lot and regularly pass the hotel. Hotel a bit further out of town than we thought, Main routes into historic area were busy with traffic and workers walking in to work. Breakfast area very noisy. Much quieter at night returning back to the hotel.

• Knie (7/5): Nice hotel close to the old town of Edinburgh - The breakfast was nice and wide selection of food was available, although the scrambled eggs was not to my taste. There was no wide selection of fruits and vegetables. The area is about 500 meters from where the 'old town' starts so no need to use any kind of transportation to the city centre. Staff was very kind and helpful everywhere and the "gluten free" was a well known thing there, so they were also prepared not just simply nice. The room was quite nice although the windows are fixed so only the air condition system provides some kind of fresh air which was not enough for 2 people. The Queen size bed was also a bit small to us, but OK.

• 168mylenee (8/5): Lovely Shahina that went beyond and above - The location is good and the rooms are adequately sized but what stood out during our stay is the kindness of Shahina, the receptionist who welcome us on that day and who assisted us during our check -in. She went beyond and above to assist us like in booking our tours and making us feel welcomed and special. The only downfall is the fruits served during breakfast are mostly tinned fruits and not fresh ones.

Bez problemu można zostawić bagaże do przechowania przy okazji wieczornego wylotu. Czystość w hotelu i w pokoju na medal. Łóżka są codziennie zaścielane, ręczniki zmieniane, papier toaletowy dołożony, o nic nie trzeba się upominać. Łóżka bardzo wygodne, przyjemnie się na nik spało. Śniadania wystarczające, smaczne, coś dla każdego - owoce, płatki, gofry, dania ciepłe. Ogólnie, świetna baza wypadowa na zwiedzanie miasta, wszędzie blisko, przystanek zaraz za rogiem a obok dobrze zaopatrzone Tesco. Nic.

Comfortable bed and Wifi worked well. Very close to some of the buses to/from the city center. While the room (accessible) was spacious, there were few towels on hand and no hairdryer. I could have requested more towels, obviously. I am glad we could adjust the room temperature to our liking; there was a learning curve for working the thermostat. Achieved our goal eventually.

Had to stop up the street and run down to check in and ask about parking and where it was. No info on the website or when we called up. Got there and found out you have to check in first to be allocated a parking spot (if there is even one free). There is not enough parking for the size of the hotel. The carpark is around the back of the building and we struggled to find the allocated numbers in amoungst residential parking. Then spent ages trying to figure out how to get into the hotel from the carpark out the back. Found a tiny sign that says "reception", you have to walk around the building back to the front door. The bathroom has a sliding door that doesn't close properly because the slide door it far off the wall, can see and smell someone on the toilet from the bedroom. Would not stay again, very stressful trying to get to the hotel in a car.

• Wright (2/5): Hard work and upset and let down both myself and the wheelchair user - It was clean At time of booking I requested an accessible room as one of the party is a wheelchair user when we got to our room it was not accessible so I went back to reception and they found another room for us we moved rooms and to my dismay the bed was very high so went back to reception and explained this the manager who said that beds in accessible rooms should be lower she then asked another manager who said that all beds were the same height and I explained again that Carl the wheelchair user cannot stand as he has a T4 injury I had to lift him onto the bed and off again as that was our only option which I’m afraid is a real poor show from a hotel , when I booked it was this hotel that was booked because it states accessible and it is not for a none walking wheelchair user I feel so let down by this
• LAURENCE (4/5): Je ne recommande pas - Rien je ne recommande pas Personnel peut réactif qui nous a donné une chambre non adaptée pour 250€! Nous avons dû insister pour changer. Petit déjeuner décevant
• kalinka (7/5): - De kamer was goed en zag er netjes en schoon uit. Je kon gebruik maken van de gym Het ontbijt vond ik erg tegenvallen. Er waren geen verse kleine broodjes en er was nauwelijks fruit. De borden werden heel snel opgehaald als je aan tafel zat. Ook waren er verder weinig faciliteiten waarvan je gebruik kon maken.
