Guest Reviews
- Pratheesh (10/5): - An excellent resort which offers good food and idyllic setting to unwind & stay away from daily monotony.
- Chris (10/5): Paradise! - What am amazing place! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Panvaree the Greenery and what a stunning setting to wake up to!
From start to finish, the experience was well organised and essy. From checking inat thw pier, we were met by our guide who escorted us by longtail boat to the bungalows. The guide was knowledgeable about the area and offered interesting information and pointed out wildlife. The bungalows were beautiful, the rooms very clean and all of the staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed all 3 meals, 2 were set menus and buffet breakfast. All the food was absolutely delicious and flavoursome. In the afternoon, we swam in the lake and used the kayaks to explore. We did 2 boat rides, one at sunset and one at dawn and they were both incredible, allowing us to see different sights and sounds of the national park. Overall, one of my favourite places that ive ever stayed and I didn't want to leave!
- Christopher (10/5): - Food was insanely good. The location is out of this world. Friendly and helpful staff available at all times. A true oasis! We loved every minute.
- Richard (10/5): - Great experience. The location can’t be beat. The food was good and plentiful. The only (minor) negative: the walls are paper thin and when the people in the room next to us were talking it sounded like they were in the room.
- Mr Bradley (10/5): - Absolutely fantastic visit to Khao Sok staying at Panveree The Greenery! highly recommend
- gerald (10/5): - Epic view. Rent room is superb cool and unique. Gotta try it at least one night. Well worth the price.
- Diane (10/5): - Fabulous from start to finish. So beautiful, staff wonderful, food great. From pick up at pier to drop off back at pier it was perfection. Loved, loved, loved it
- Casey (10/5): - Amazing place. 2 nights is perfect as there isn’t a lot to do after sundown but the days are magical
- Richard (10/5): - What an amazing bunch of staff.Everyone was so lovely. Food was great,. Rooms clean and comfortable. Tour guides amazing. My wife and I loved it. Definitely worth every penny.
- Jenna (10/5): - Great two night and three day package. We stayed at Greenery as part of our honeymoon. The staff are super friendly and take great care of you. Their tours are included in the package and really fun with knowledgable guides. The views from the room are one of a kind. The food is tasty with locals flavours and huge portions. Definitely worth visiting if coming to Thailand for a romantic and/or relaxing get away. Unique once in a lifetime experience.
- Nicholas (10/5): - Lovely small hotel on the water in Khao Sok National Park. The hotel floats on the water as do all the hotels in the Park. Fabulous service from a friendly staff. Incredibly scenic area on a manmade lake which is pristine. No trash. No powerboats. Only longtail boats for transportation to and from the pier and sightseeing on the lake. The lake is surrounded by and full of beautiful limestone formations. In addition to great service, the food at the hotel was very good. The drinks were strong. It is a wonderful, chill place. If you don’t appreciate boats, this hotel and the others on the lake are probably not for you. The rooms are nice but modest and you will be floating on the water. I think for the majority of people this is fine but I flag it only for those who may feel queasy on the water. I liked the hotel very much and recommend it highly.
- VIACHESLAV (10/5): - We loved everything! Food, staff, boat, safari, bungalow, water in the lake .. great!
- Yvonne (10/5): - We spent one night out there Panveree Greenery and absolutely loved it. The long tail boat ride out was awesome! Staff were warm & welcoming. Rooms were perfect! Would highly recommend.
- Deborah (10/5): Perfect way to enjoy the lake. - Our experience staying with Panvaree the Greenery and in Khao Sok National park was outstanding. The communication is perfect. And you know everything you need to for your trip to go smoothly. We got one of their deluxe rooms and it was really incredible. Definitely some wear and tear but it was still very nice for a floating bungalow in the middle of a massive lake. The food was really incredible and they provide it to your table family style and you can even get more if you want. Swimming in the lake, kayaking around and relaxing in the hammock chair was exactly what we had hoped for. But the highlight is the scenery all around the lake - one of the most beautiful places we have visited. The only drawback to this tour is that you have to arrange your own transportation to and from the pier. Would be nice if the reached out to assist with that as we had to figure it out ourself. But highly recommend Panvaree for you visit to Khao Sok National park.
- Briony (10/5): - Absolutely loved it here. It couldn't have been better.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Brilliant - Great stay here, we stayed for one night and got very lucky with the weather as it rained the morning we left. The staff are all super friendly the room was nice, nothing fancy but as expected. Clean room and comfy bed. We saw wild elephants which was a huge treat. Thoroughly recommend this place as an experience.
- Matthew (10/5): - Amazing night staying at this hotel in this quiet corner of the world. Fantastic food, excellent service, very cozy rooms, and serenity. Bonus we got to saw plenty of monkeys and wild elephants in our boat tours and kayak rides
- HUDSON JOEL S (4/5): - Got the worst food poisoning of my life unfortunately. All four in our party had fluids and food coming out both ends for days.
- Jonathan (10/5): Stunning Location, Friendly Staff - This place is amazing! The location is stunning and the staff and accomodations are great. We were surprised at how good the lunches/dinners as well. Highly recommend.
- David (10/5): - Facilities are wonderful considering you are in the middle of a lake in the middle of a national park. Aircon at night & even slow wifi.
Staff were wonderful, helpful courteous and efficient and friendly. 100 / 100.
Location and place is simply awe inspiring. Words and photos do not do justice. This is a must must visit place.
- Anthony (10/5): Unique Floating Bungalows,Superb Views - Amazing floating bungalow accommodation with superb views and excellent service !
- Cristina (10/5): - I can’t say enough about how amazing this place is…the views, the food, the staff…everything so amazing. It’s something out of Jurassic Park or something. Just amazing if you come to Thailand do yourself a favor and come visit this beautiful place.
- Brian (10/5): - Nestled in Thailand's lush greenery, Panvaree is a floating paradise accessible by a scenic long-tail boat ride. Upon arrival, we were treated to a delicious Thai lunch, setting the tone for our stay.
Swimming in the lake and exploring the surroundings by canoe were highlights of our visit. We encountered playful monkeys and enjoyed an afternoon safari, spotting wild elephants, including mothers with babies, and a juvenile.
The day ended with a stunning sunset dinner featuring fresh fish from the lake. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
The next morning, we enjoyed a sunrise safari, spotting goats and exploring the Guilin rock formations. Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, making our experience truly memorable.
The staff at Panvaree the Greenery went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of comfort to our experience, making us feel truly welcome and cared for.
Moreover, every corner of Panvaree the Greenery is picture-perfect, like a scene from a postcard. The stunning natural beauty of the surroundings made every photo we took look like a work of art, capturing the essence of this beautiful retreat in Thailand.
Although not the easiest destination to reach, it is worth the effort. Book early and if you can do a 2 day stay. It will be the highlight of yo
- Chelsea (10/5): - Incredibly attentive staff. Breathtaking views. Delicious food. All needs cared for. Keep in mind this is a FLOATING hotel. Will not be the same as a land resort but they have accomplished something amazing over water.
- Dana (10/5): - We stayed for the the two night package, which was a perfect amount of time. The staff was exceptional, our itnerary well managed, always had great food options, and the scenery couldn't be better! We even got to see the wild elephants on our evening boat ride. We enjoyed everything about our stay here! Thank you to all the staff!
- Timothy (10/5): - The staff is very kind and helpful. There is always a tour of some kind offered and the meals were excellent. It’s a beautiful park and there’s no better place to be than inside the middle of it. We were even lucky enough to witness a pack of wild elephants and their babies along the shore on our way to a cave tour as well as countless other creatures and sounds.
- Rainer (10/5): - We highly enjoyed our 2 nights stay at the Panvaree The Greenery. Top very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent meals. Boat trips through this magnificent landscape were excellent. We saw a mountain goat very close and even wild elephants. We went swimming and kayaking out of our room. The floating rooms are big enough to feel comfortable. We didn't miss anything. All in all an unforgettable experience.
- Jeannette (10/5): Amazing hotel! - We had an amazing time at the Panvaree. Food and tours were included, making the stay quite a deal. 3 large meals every day with more delicious food than we could possibly eat. The tour to the Coral Cave was breath taking. Guides and staff were all very friendly and informative. We were on our honeymoon and for dinner one night they set up a special table for us with flowers and candles, it was such a wonderful surprise! I would highly recommend this hotel to all couples and adults. Staying with very young children may not be ideal. The location is remote and kids may get a bit bored. Young ones could also easily fall into the water if parents aren't watching them closely. The bungalows are floating, so those who get sea-sick easily may have a tough time. I used motion sickness patches behind my ears and felt fine.
- Kenneth and Nicola (10/5): - The setting was amazing. I liked the balance of planned activities with free time to relax and enjoy the amenities.
We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and our hosts surprised us with a beautiful table for 2 set up for dinner, which was delicious.
The service was outstanding, and they took care of everything we needed including booking our transportation to our next location.
- Jillianie (10/5): - Our stay at Panvaree the Greenery was surreal. This floating hotel is a gem in Khao Sok National Park, making it one of the most beautiful and magical places we've ever visited. The view from the room is mesmerizing, and you can access the lake from the balcony! They offer lifejackets and floating mats to enjoy the lake and kayaks to explore around. The staff is lovely and super attentive; they definitely make sure you have a 5-star stay experience. They have a pre-selected menu, which we were a bit skeptical about, but everything they cooked was delicious, we enjoyed the food a lot!
- Catherine (10/5): - Great floating resort!
- Fadi (10/5): - Booked one night to checkout this beautiful place. They server 3 meals all were good make and mostly Thai food so make sure to tell them if you don’t eat Thai. The place felt like a piece from heaven.
- Mark (10/5): Unique Setting - Wonderful, fun stay in a very unique setting.
- Carolina (10/5): - Amazing place!! Highlight of my trip in Thailand! The area is incredible and the staff is really friendly! 3 days, 2 nights are the perfect balance to enjoy the national park!
- Michael (10/5): - Beautifully landscaped resort with amazing ocean views. Great food and service. In a very quiet location in the NorthEast part of Phangan.
- Ahmad (10/5): - Great location, best Staff , very clean highly recommended
- Chandra (10/5): Unique & beautiful place! - Khao Sok National Parrk is a very unique & beautiful place. The karst landscape is other worldly. We saw & heard Hornbills & Gibbon apes. The boat trips were lots of fun and we enjoyed hanging out in the lake. The food and service at Parnavee were top notch.
- Duncan (10/5): - Absolutely incredible experience. A perfect place to relax and unwind, but also explore an amazing part of Thailand. The staff went above and beyond all expectations to make our stay enjoyable and peaceful. The food for every meal was irresistible (and plentiful!)
We had some bad weather, but this did not ruin the experience.
On our last morning before leaving, we woke up early to the sounds of Gibbons in the jungle behind the hotel, grabbed some kayaks and followed the shoreline of the lake until we spotted them in the wild, along with short and long-tailed macaques.
Couldn’t have wished for a better stay. Thank you
- Haikal (10/5): - Best views and everything is inclusive. Had the best experience here and all the staffs are friendly and gove excellent service. Really recommend this place for a hassle-free vacation
- gintaras (6/5): - Resort it's in unik place, surroundings around property it's breath taking but property it self not, bed very uncomfortable, mattress like rock, very loud air conditioning, and food it's not that good as well
- Martha (10/5): - Our experience at Panvaree the Greenery was excellent. The staff was so friendly and it’s set up in a way that everything is organized for you. We really enjoyed the food, they serve a giant feast for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it was all delicious. They can also make great cocktails. The kayaking and swimming is a great way to spend the afternoon and the long tail boat rides are a fun excursion. The scenery is gorgeous and we saw a decent amount of wildlife. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!
- leonid (10/5): - Clean
- Andres (10/5): Wish we could have stayed longer - The place is amazing! But transportation to and from the place is extremely limited. The views are gorgeous and the food is wonderful. Great place to enjoy nature, relax, and disconnect! We only stayed for one day and wished we had reserved more. Even though there are not too many things to do you want to take the time to enjoy each and every activity, including relaxing. Did I mention relaxing?
- Wojciech (10/5): - Amazing !
- Dana (2/5): DON'T GO - Booked 2 nights. After I get to hotel by there boat they tell me I have to move rooms. It was drama I didn't need. I book a superior room with water access, I needed to be lower as not to rock on the water too much. They wanted to move us to smaller room and upstairs. I told them They should have let me know I would have canceled. That I would just stay the 1 night and they say that I will still need to pay for the night Im not there. Why would I need to pay when they are canceling my room. And then I would need to pay for boat ride back. This back and forth went on thought the day. Then they said they could move me to family room down stairs, That its an upgrade I told them give the up grade to the people coming. No one wants to unpack and pack up every day. They insisted I move. The room they moved me into was alot small definitely not what I paid for. I highly recommend going to another hotel on the water there are lots of them.
- Maria (10/5): - Beautiful location- it was the highlight of our trip
- Hannah (10/5): Favorite part of Thailand - Our stay here was the best part of our trip to Thailand. The bungalows were very comfortable, and the surrounding lake and cliffs were gorgeous. We did two nights but wish we'd done more! The days are very well balanced between relaxing at your bungalows and doing boat rides/excursions. The set meals were delicious, with plenty of options and generous portions (we had 6 meals, all different). Everything moved on time, and all the staff were so kind and courteous! Shout out to Sun, who was an amazing guide! He told us so many interesting things on our trek, and helped personally get us to an ATM and the airport. Sun, you're the best! Sabai sabai :-)
- rosalind (10/5): - Amazing place to stay!
- Jorge (10/5): - The experience at Khao Sok The Greenery was beyond excellent. Our host Khoch went beyond expectations to make sure we were taken care of. Overall a 5 Star Experience.
- Richard (8/5): Excellent location!!! - A totally jaw dropping location on the lake. The floating villas are lovely, doors open onto the lake. If you expect a perfect 5 star resort you will be disappointed because the high price you’re paying is mainly for the location, air con, lake tours, and the fact your room is en suite. The room itself is wood panelled, with space to walk around the bed, in the description it said the word suite, however it would be optimistic to say it was a suite. The bed was on the harder side. The facilities consist of a wet room shower, loo, sink etc. All of this is a good condition. The walls between rooms aren’t particularly sound proofed. The food was really tasty Thai food (not very spicy though - so more suited to Western tastes). The staff are very friendly and helpful. As I mentioned, the location is stunning, this alone is worth the stay!
- Philip (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay. Even though it was cloudy and drizzling, it was still very beautiful. The lake is the perfect temperature during the cool rainy dat
- Jorge (10/5): great food and location! - the beds need to be more comfortable!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nicest place to stay for must-do overnight on lake - Difficult to get to for a tourist with no car, but bottom line is that it is worth the overnight stay on this lake especially at this Panvaree the Greenery- they will take you on an evening and morning 1hr boat tour of the lake that is nothing like the daytime option from the main pier. The room / meals are also a step above other overnight accomodations on the lake. Teal shirts clearly identified the staff who did the basic check-in at the CheoLan (Ratchaprpha) pier. The waiting area at the pier is in the seating area of a covered patio outside a small cafe, paid bathrooms nearby. While there is a paved drive downhill to the pier that would have been easier to roll our luggage, the staff member had us go with him uphill near the park ticket center (even though he had collected our payments prior). Then we had to carry our own luggage down many, many stairs to the boat. Pack light! After that, we had excellent service at the hotel and spectacular long-tail boat rides to/from. Meals were outstanding, varied and usually more than we could finish. Eggs, fruit, brewed coffee, with fancier coffee options and alcoholic drinks available at the small bar for a price. Internet/wife from the lobby float was quite good, though we could only barely pick it up in our room in the next float over. Staff where multiple hats and do a good job, but could smile more. Kayaks, paddleboard and a floating chair available to use for afternoon hours and many did. Water is clear and beautiful,
- Janyne (10/5): - Our daughter is celiac and the staff went out of their way to make sure the food didn’t have gluten contamination. It was delicious for her and all of 6 of us! We can’t thank them enough because it allowed us to enjoy one of the most beautiful places on earth!
- Ian (10/5): - We had an excellent stay at Panvaree the greenery. The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful, one note would be to book your transfers through the resort our trip to koh sok we sorted ourselves was a disaster our return trip was booked through Panvaree excellent price and exactly where we needed to go on the next leg of our journey.
- Rowena (10/5): - An amazing experience: outstanding picturesque location, brilliant accommodation, and absolutely attentive and caring staff, couldn’t ask for more
- Verified traveler (10/5): - An outstanding experience all around.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Spectacular setting and lake for swimming in. Terrific views. Helpful staff. Itinerary was very simple but details on type and length of hike were unclear until we asked. Good food and beverage. For the price, it was unexpected that we would be sharing a cabin with other guests with paper thin walls separating us. I would recommend finding a hut that is only for you/your guests such as is available at the sister resort.
- Brent (8/5): - Amazing staff make the stay here great. The units are rustic and not very well built so don’t expect classy accommodations.
The staff worked very hard to take care of vegetarian only meals (with some fish) and the food was good.
It was my wife’s birthday when we were there and they surprised her with a birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to her.
Stunning location, amazing staff.
- Rudy (10/5): Favorite part of Thailand - It was incredibly amazing. Gorgeous views. Beautiful water. Felt great to swim and the resort offers a plethora of water activity items (kayak, lounge chairs, floating chairs and mats). Food and service was also on point.
Note: in case you are unaware, the hotel booking includes some additional activities (sunset cruise and a morning "safari"). Both are very enjoyable experiences but the safari is another boat ride (not a jungle hike)
- AdamB (10/5): - This was the highlight of our trip. I stayed at mostly 5 star resorts during my time in Thailand and absolutely loved the food, service, isolated location, amazing beauty of Khao Sok. They went above and beyond for us. I would absolutely recommend staying here.
- Keaton (10/5): AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! - I can’t put into words how amazing our stay was. From transportation, location, activities, food and hospitality they knocked them all out of the park. We never forget our stay here!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Place, Plenty of Foods, and Great Service - We found this Chiew Lan Lake in Surat Thani, Thailand, through a nature program called Wild Thailand 2 years ago and it is an amazing place. It was hard to book for this place in the US, except through websites, It would be easier and more options if you are Thai or with a Thai help. The rooms are on floating pontoons and water was deep emerald green you can swim, kayak (free), and relax on floating devices. There are free guided activities, depending on how long you stay. We stay 2 nights and we had guided activity the first late afternoon we arrived. Next day, we had 1 hr morning guided tour and then another afternoon tour consisted of hiking in the national park (we were unlucky to see wild elephants, but another couple did earlier in the morning) and a floating bamboo raft to the Emerald Cave which was accidentally discovered by fishermen after escaping the 2004 tsunami. Foods/meals are plenty, whether it was for a couple or a family of 4. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all inclusive. Service was also excellent. Highly recommended for those who enjoy nature, peace, quiet, and a nice warm lake.
- Kris (10/5): - There is not a more beautiful setting in the world. Loved the side trips that were arranged and the food was amazing. The staff members were so nice and sweet. The water in the lake was amazing to cool off. There is no air conditioning in the bungalows during the day and they get extremely hot so be prepared for this!! Perfect for a 2 night stay!
- J (10/5): - Really nice floating room (we could step outside and jump right into the water) staff was super helpful and friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything is Great and staff personnel are very good and good attention to detail. Excellent place to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A truly one of experience!
We have been travelling Thailand for 6 weeks staying mainly in 5 star hotels but this place was by far the highlight of our trip.
We stayed 3 nights which we felt was perfect as any more i think boredom would have set in however we spoke to 3 different couples that stayed 1 night and all said it was too far and too much of a rush to appreciate so i recommend 2 nights as a minimum.
We had a delux/premium room which was downstairs with steps into water. Be aware they are only basic and not soundproofed however they were clean and comfortable.
Food was quite repetative and all Thai however there was so much of it that even fussy eaters like me found something they liked and for someone like my husband he loved it and said it was all great. We had 3 boat trips included too which were all enjoyable although the trip to the caves was exhausting in the heat.
Overall the best thing about our stay were the staff. Each and everyone was so attentive and friendly going out of their way to ensure everyone was happy!
Absolutely superb stay in an idyllic setting.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great staffs, good foods
We spent 2 nights here and got
Excellent service.
- Donovan (10/5): Honeymoon Stay - This place is truly a one of a kind. The food was great, the superior room (with private bathroom) was great, and the excursions were very memorable. We stayed for one night but paid extra to do the trekking tour before we left on day two and I’m very glad we did. We told them it was our honeymoon and they set up a romantic dinner table solo on the dock. As a gay couple celebrating our honeymoon, we felt very welcomed by the staff and guests. We want to go back and bring our families as well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was excellent and very helpful. All activities were as described and on time. Food authentic and very tasteful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent service and food. And the location is inbeatable!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff are amazing! You don’t have to wirry abour anything here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Panvaree is the most magical and relaxing place I have ever been! The staff is friendly and accommodating! They made me special vegetarian meals, and the food is fantastic! They also made our honeymoon extra special by creating a romantic candlelit dinner for us.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing experience in a unique place on a warm green lake! It’s like entering Jurassic Park! Enjoyed everything from the boat trips exploring caves to kayaking across lake to see wild elephants and just enjoying jumping into clean warm water!! The food was delicious too !! Basic comfy accommodation with everything you need. All the staff were lovely too, especially Moz our guide.
- Brenda (10/5): - Love this unique hotel! Great people and The food was some of the best we’ve had. Wish we would’ve stayed another night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good atmosphere and all staffs are very nice. We had a great weekend here :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): Loved it! - We had an amazing time - we didn’t realize that all meals are included as well as excursions - boat rides, hikes, cave, and we even saw elephants! Only thing to watch out for is your arrival time, you have to pay extra to get a ride there if you don’t take their boat that runs once per day.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place is utterly magical. Honestly one of the most beautiful placed we've been. The lake itself is breath taking, and the Greenery is sensitive to its environment. Sleeping with the slow rocking of the water is bliss. Being able to hop off your balcony into the water is amazing. The hotel supplies kayaks and floating things to make relaxing and exploring easy. The food was nice, the beer deliciously cold and the staff really really wonderful. An utterly unforgettable experience that we cant recommend enough.
- Megs (10/5): - This place was amazing, probably the most beautiful place I've been - straight out of a scene in Avatar. The overwater bungalows were lovely and the room was well designed (lots of shelves). The staff were super sweet and helpful - helped us get to the resort when we missed the complimentary boat and got us to Surat Tani airport for a fraction of the going rate. The guide Sun was the absolute best - he was so funny and totally made the trip. My only complaint was that they had a bit of an ant problem but it really wasn't a big deal because the place was just so stunning in every other way. We did the 2 night package and ended up doing so many activities (kayaking, swimming, the cruises offered by the hotel, jungle trekking etc) that we never got bored.
- siu kee (10/5): Relaxing and quiet floating house - Wonderful. People of Panvaree were very warm and attentive to our needs
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Private and very beautiful scenery. All staff very friendly.
- Will (8/5): - Absolutely fantastic experience especially the tours. Surprising comfortable accommodation and mosquito free!
