If I knew the setup I probably would have gone with coin lockers rather than calling into the hostel first.

- Mason (8/5): Great stay at Little Japan. - Great place and a very good stay. Good for meeting people. The owner was very nice and accommodating.

The staff are genuinely kind and welcoming, always ready to help or have a friendly chat, which makes the whole experience much more enjoyable. The atmosphere is relaxed and social, and everything is clean. I’d definitely consider staying here again.

- Gabriela (9/5): - Very friendly staff, possibility to leave luggage prior check-in and after check-out. Two living rooms where you can meet other guests and backpackers. Small kitchen where you can prep instant meals, tea or coffee. Separate shower and room only for women. There's no elevatore, so be prepared to carry your luggage 2 or 3 floors on narrow stairs. However, the staff is kind to help you with it if needed.

- Li (4/5): - They offer after-hour check in with check-in code and keys. Very convenient for late arrivals. Overall the bathroom was clean. Not a bad walk from the nearest subway station (7-8mins). But since I arrived after hour, I had to walk 20+mins from the JR station (mostly flat so not super bad). There're enough sinks in the bathroom. Only narrow stairs to carry your luggages up. Bed curtain was broken. Room light was on all night. Ceiling and floor are very worn and didn't have proper flooring in my room. Only 1 outlet available on my bed. It's not their fault but someone else was sleeping on the bed I was assigned to when I arrived, so I had to switch to a random bed. No towels or slippers and no space to put the luggage in the room.

- Nadda (10/5): - If you are looking for an affordable, comfortable, and well-located stay in Tokyo, Little Japan is a fantastic choice that feels more like a home than a hostel. Key Highlights: Prime Location: It is an easy 9-10 minute walk from Asakusabashi Station. The neighborhood is very convenient, with a 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, a local fresh grocery store, and a charming public park/playground all within a few minutes' walk. Great for Walking Enthusiasts: The location is perfect for those who enjoy exploring on foot. Sumida Park is just 2km away, and you can walk another 1km from there to reach Tokyo Skytree. Cozy Atmosphere: The ground floor features a charming little cafe/restaurant, while the upper floors are dedicated to guest rooms. They offer male-only, female-only, and private room options. I stayed in a 6-bed female dormitory and was lucky enough to get a lower bunk. The bed was surprisingly spacious and comfortable—definitely a much better experience than a typical capsule hotel. Privacy & Accessibility: There is a back-door entrance available if you prefer to avoid the crowds in the cafe area, providing a nice level of privacy and ease of access. Things to Note: Quiet Environment: The dorm rooms are very quiet. In fact, it is so silent that you can even hear someone whispering from another bed. Being mindful of noise is a must here. Pro-Tip: If you are a light sleeper, I highly recommend bringing earplugs. While the room itself is quiet, if a roommate happens to snore, the sound can carry quite easily throughout the space. Summary: Overall, I highly recommend Little Japan. It offers a great local vibe, excellent transport links, and a very comfortable sleeping experience. 9/10!

- Laura (2/5): Experiencia muy decepcionante - El personal es amable. Las camas son cómodas. Debe de haber un hospital cerca, ya que durante la noche se escuchan ambulancias frecuentemente. Las paredes estaban muy sucias, el suelo muy poco cuidado y la cocina resulta bastante precaria; incluso el grifo no funcionaba correctamente. Todo en general muy descuidado. En absoluto se corresponde con la calidad del resto de hostels en los que me he alojado en Japón. Realmente no lo recomiendo para nada. Tras pasar una noche, decidí cambiarme a otro alojamiento, perdiendo incluso las tres noches que ya había pagado.

I think the facilities are a little bit old fashioned and basic. There is nothing wrong with them, the shower was fine and the bed slept well. But the bed made a lot of noise if you were to climb the ladder to the top bed and it al felt a bit simple. Because of the two living rooms, the hostel was more social than I thought

- Andre Jephte (3/5): - Staff were quite nice. Location is not so bad too. Facilities are not that great. There were no elevators inside so we had to carry our luggage up to the 4th floor. Though the staff were kind enough to help us when we arrived, but when we left, front desk is not yet open so we had no choice but to bring our luggage down ourselves. There were also no heated seats and bidets on the toilets which is quite rare for any accommodation found in tokyo. This may be a good enough option for backpackers, but not really a good idea for people who have lots of luggage.

Since my check-in time was late in the evening, I appreciated knowing that someone would be there to explain things to me. They were very friendly and helpful.
