Everything was perfect, from our private bungalow steps from the beach, to the beautiful grounds, to the restaurant, and the amazing staff. It was something out of a movie- private pool and outdoor showers, incredibly comfortable beds. The staff are all exceptionally kind and helpful- they cannot do more for you. One member of staff in particular offered to give me a lift in to town to help me buy a phone charger. The food on site is excellent and affordable, the private beach is like something out of a movie. You are a 10 min cycle from the bustling town and several other beautiful beaches. I am a hotel designer and it is rare that I enjoy the look and feel of a property so thoroughly- I have no notes, this place is simply-stunning. Nothing

- Gwenda (5/5): Noisy road! - The hotel has a beautiful design, with well-maintained gardens that add to the charm. While the beach area wasn’t quite our thing, it was still nice. Restaurant staff is amazing. The price-to-quality ratio was disappointing. Our room, at €350 per night, was directly next to a busy road, making it noisy day and night. The outdoor shower was a great touch, but the loud traffic ruined the atmosphere…. The manager’s claim that closing the doors makes it “completely silent” was far from true. Breakfast and lunch were overpriced and underwhelming. $8 for an espresso? Hard to justify.

- Hazel (10/5): Beautiful place but let down by communication of management - Stunning property We were moved halfway through our stay, after full payment was taken to a lower grade property. I said I was unhappy when advised of this, and they emailed to say they would discuss alternatives with the manager. No follow up was sent. No mention at check in and no contact made during the first half of the stay. I thought they understood I was unhappy to pack up half way my stay as I had packing for a 3 week holiday! We came back to find the key card didn’t work and no advice on moving and where too. Had to throw all clothes in bag that had been hanging and organised and was moved to a space without same organisation. I booked a two bed bungalow and received a 1 bed for the last few nights. The veranda wasn’t the same and the water cold. First half was blissful, second half was less so.

Menu is a little limited (food and beverage) and check-in had a long waiting time, although, the gardens are a beautiful place to wait. Overall, a positive experience and I recommend it.

- Hannah (8/5): A lovely property, but stay slightly overshadowed by very loud construction noise. - Lovely room, we enjoyed the outdoor shower a lot. Beautifully designed hotel. Very lovely bar and pool area (though see below) and the cocktails and food were excellent. There was very loud construction on the property when we stayed - you could not hear it from the beach, but it did make the pool virtually unusable during the day (the weather wasn’t great and the bar area was really the only nice area to sit, so it was quite an issue for us). We were a bit disappointed that the noise was not acknowledged and full price was charged (it’s an expensive hotel). The location is nice if you are looking for seclusion, but it’s a bit of a walk into town - not an issue for us but something to be aware of. The beach is not ideal for swimming, though nice to sit on when dry.

Beware if you rent any of the Pavlova suites... they back up directly to the main road so there's a few that can be pretty load with traffic during the day. However, during the night it dies down and gets really quiet.

- Hendrik (10/5): - Wir waren 5 Nächte zu Gast im Aguas Claras. Das Hotel begeistert uns mit seiner sehr schönen, ursprünglichen Anlage in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Strand. Unser Zimmer (eine der Pavlova Suites) war klein und zweckmäßig, dafür mit Outdoor-Badezimmer (sehr cool). Alles sehr sauber! Der Pool ist ebenfalls sehr schön, allerdings auch etwas klein; ist das Hotel ausgebucht, wird es sehr eng und laut am Pool. Gleiches gilt für den kleinen, aber feinen Strand. Das gesamte Team im Hotel ist sehr gastfreundlich und bietet einen exzellenten Service. Sehr zu empfehlen!
- Tyrell (10/5): - We loved everything about Aguas Claras! We stayed in Cacao, and it was beautiful quiet and private. The staff were all amazing and helpful, eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. And the food was absolutely delicious! We ate most of our meals here for a week and had plenty of selection. We took advantage of so many of the amenities offered, pool side service, beach food/drink service, yoga, massage, kayak tour, and even rode bikes to town. All of these made our stay better than we could have hoped for!! Aguas Claras has some of the best service we have received, as the staff are very attentive and also love to point out the wildlife so you don’t miss a thing. I would highly recommend the massage, as it was one the best massages we’ve had, and the tour guides they recommend are friendly and knowledgeable! I highly recommend Aguas Claras, and we will be back!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Ask for work being done in the property, they were doing maintenance so I couldn’t enjoy of the pool my second day because it was emptied the night before and at the beach there was no beach house service or chair/towels, strong smell of chemicals and construction sounds no relaxing at all. The service is amazing and people try to help with everything but since they were closing for works at the hotel some items on the menu weren’t available and all...wouldn’t have stayed if I knew about this and enjoyed a day pass instead

The beach is beautiful and quiet, only a short 2 minute walk from the hotel. The restaurant and bar is excellent. I didn’t want to eat anywhere else because the food was so good.
