- Marga (9/5): Food for the soul - Beautiful location in the heart of the bush, peaceful and quiet. Between our unit and the boathouse, we had everything we could need and more! Loads of birdlife and other animals at the dam, a perfect reload. Chloe is a gem, thank you again - our family spend a week and really had a wonderful time. Nothing :)
Only suggestion perhaps a fixed minimalistic shade net for the outdoor area at the family unit as the umbrella has a tough time in the wind and had to be strapped in to stay upright.
- Stapp (10/5): -
- Jean-Pierre (8/5): WONDERFUL - BEAUTIFUL VIEW FRIENDLY STAFF WIFI WAS REALLY WE HAD NO RECEPETION , WOULD HVE LIKED IF THE STAFF HAD OFFERED TO START THE HOT TUB FOR US.
- Erich (10/5): -
- John (9/5): - Great location, facilities and staff. Will definitely come back again. The master beds are not extended length for us tall guys, but far from a deal breaker.
- Fergel (10/5): Awesome - Beautiful nature views, friendly staff and lovely accommodation.
- Adrian (10/5): A relaxing weekend away with the family - The setting is absolutely perfect. We did the walk/hike which was awesome seeing all the different animals.
- Ag (9/5): Lovely farm and very comfortable cottages - The cottages are just perfect. We loved everything about it. -
- Rowland (9/5): Gorgeous way to de-stress and return to nature in real comfort. - Breathtaking location The kitchen was not as clean as it could have been. Dishes and surfaces were dusty and a little grimy.
- Busi (8/5): Very good -
- Nolitha (9/5): Excellent! - The location was great. Disappointed that we traveled 30 min on gravel road. But it was another good experience for the family. Luckily we used a bakkie.
We made our own food. We liked the facilities. Well organized. Everything we needed was there. Gravel road driving to the place.
Inside the property, we liked and enjoyed everything.
- Mariska (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kyle (9/5): Beautiful, comfortable and tranquil. - Chloe, the manager, was wonderful and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The rooms and facilities were also lovely and we really enjoyed making use of them all. The lack of Aircon. For a place that gets so hot, Aircon would make a big difference and something one might expect from a 4 star accomodation.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stewart (10/5): a hidden gem, totally privacy surrounded by unspoilt nature - perfect solitude surrounded by nature. Total privacy, everything beautifully appointed. Birdsong during the day and a symphony of frogs at night.
- Miriam (10/5): - Absolutely private
- Cindy (8/5): Burlington Bush Cottages - Secluded away from.everything / every one. Stunning hot tub.
It rained the entire time we were there, so we were forced to relax.
The element on the geyer packed up and was replaced / fixed within an hour. There was no oven. There was no grater. The bathroom was huge and the shower had no walls, so water everywhere.
Bed was massive 😴
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luk (10/5): Next time I bring my bike!! - It was simply amazing all round … walking around in the domain with plains and bush surrounded by kudu, giraffes, several kinds of bucks and hogs is envigorating … Would have loved to explore the domain on Mountain bike but no rental service available…
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thabo (8/5): Very good -
- Francois (9/5): Superb -
- Robyn (8/5): Wonderful relaxing location with lovely accomodation - The location and the property are wonderful for relaxing with family or friends The road to the property could be in better condition however the hosts did mention this on booking so it was not a surprise
- Sharon (9/5): Beautiful stay - Loved the views from the balcony. Enjoyed the hike and bird watching activities. The signage along the hiking routes need to be checked out, some signage boards were missing.
- Stapp (10/5): A fantastic little break to recharge the batteries - We loved the attention to detail and how they went the extra mile to ensure guests enjoyed a relaxing stay
- Olivia (8/5): Just lovely! Quiet, peaceful, relaxing and at one with nature 👌🏻 - These are lovely cottages in a remote setting, perfect for relaxing! We stayed during a cold spell so cottages would benefit from some heating, maybe gas/electric fire to take chill out of air.
- Gerald (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place, everything we could need! Chloe looked after us really well and we had a wonderful time in a very peaceful place. Nothing
- Vincent (10/5): Dream house - Everything WiFi not working and only phone service at the boat house
- Gerhard (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful setting and very comfortable facility
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cottages and serene environment. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to an emergency at home but loved our night there. Will be back.
- Eugene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Winston (9/5): Peaceful and serene - Tranquility gravel road
- Lisa (8/5): Stunning venue with loads of potential, the accommodation amazing and attention to detail excellent - The Boat house had everything to braai with which was lovely that you only need to take your food - even condiments were provided. A pair of binoculars would have been nice in the room and for game viewing on the walks. The gas heater was lovely on the icy evening. The landscape was beautiful we had visitors on the deck overnight - think baboons and screetching birds in the thatch overhead which were quite noisy but understandable as a game venue.
The walk was marked from the road but directions on the walking map would have given a better idea as to where you are (abit confusing from the aerial view map). A local game drive and sundowner would have been awesome to see the buck and giraffe etc as we didn't see much on the walk other than buck on the grass lands near gate. The drive from PE side indicated Salem as the first turn off which the road was very rough. Even though directions were given to say go through Salem the road sign directed you to turn too soon - perhaps instructions from PE side are to drive past the first sign and look for the Alexandria/Kenton on sea turn off closer to Ght.
- Vangile (10/5): Excellent Stay, Thank You Team Burlington - Everything The roads to the property a challenge when you don’t have an SUV
- Eugene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely setting in the bush. Quiet and relaxing! We really enjoyed the nature/game walks around the farm, lots of animals to see and the trails are well marked!
- Lauren (9/5): Superb -
- Lihle (9/5): Superb -
- Niklas (10/5): Beautiful cottage in the bush perfect for getaway - the cottage is stunning with a lot of attention to detail, staff is really polite. the connecting road between the main street and the cottage is app. 10 kms dirt road
- Yaseen (10/5): Stunning - Everything! This truly was a home away from home. It's absolutely stunning. Everything has been thought of. It was truly magical. The boat house is beautiful and ideal if you are a group. Chloe was wonderful. We would go again in a heartbeat. The only recommendation I would make is to have a bath mat in the huge beautiful shower as the tiles can be slippy.
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hlumelo (10/5): Exceptional - everything!!! nothing
- Anja (10/5): Luxurious comfort topped with extremely restfulpeace for our soul. - The photos display the luxury , comfort and beauty of the chalet , but the surprices of nature was hidden. Waking up ,viewing from our bed njalas having breakfast , sitting at the riverhouse with a display of thunder and lightning surrounding us, with a kudu family checking us out!Everything ( bed, chalet, service) was great - sitting on our stoep and listening to the birds chatting was another best!
- Anthonie (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (10/5): Fabulous! - This was an amazing little gem between two places we needed to be. Nice comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and lots of little detail. Good communication between ourselves and staff via WhatsApp.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional - What a wonderful stay! Our cottage was cozy, beautifully decorated and very well kitted out for a weekend stay. The outdoor area with the hot tub and fireplace is a great addition! Chloe was very friendly and welcoming. Overall a very restful weekend escape into the quiet bush.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - amazing location and superb property
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super Ausstattung, Grillmöglichkeiten, einsam gelegen
- Eric C Mc Gee (10/5): Fantastic - Fantastic venue. Attention to detail is great! Friendly staff. The boathouse area is beautiful and well stocked for self catering. Great venue!!
Top-Kundenservice!
