I wish there was an air suction system for the common bathroom. So that if one is using the bathroom they can close the door behind them and not have to open all the door to let the toilet odor or shower steam out.

The sliding door of the main bedroom didn't open properly. The cupboards in the bedrooms wasn't that neat. The glass of the oven door was loose.

• Graham (8/5): Nice, but needs updating - location and view were excellent Windows on sliding doors in bedroom looks like never cleaned. impossible to get to. decor does need some updating doors.handles etc. front door needs to be more secure party was held next door,noise was bad in 804 . 25th birthday party,all girls thought this was not allowed. toaster only one half worked. cupboard space in back is minimal as owners stuff in them.,but we did not need to use them. Of note the cleaners whilst cleaning the apartment propped the front door wide open if they were in bathroom for main bedroom,anyone could have walked in and removed my articles in the apartment.

Otherwise all very good, in fact excellent.

We were honestly very pleasantly surprised and found that the owners were quite thoughtful with everything they've provided. I will definitely be booking here again for my next stay in Umhlanga!

The ocean views were incredible and I will miss my late afternoon walks to the pier and lighthouse as the sun sets and the area comes alive. The proximity to other amenities was a huge plus. We were very unlike and our vacation was ruined, there was no water on the 1st day we arrived. We slept without bathing couldnt even go to the toilet if you have a running stomach. On sunday there was no water as well, we couldnt bath until we flew back the following day with no water, we only washed our faces and teeth with the 5L water that we bought. I feel the host didnt make any efforts to meet us half way in this trauma. They were nolonger responding to our messages until we checked out. I do understand that its not their problem but i feel they were supposed to do something for us to have a better stay.

Overall great accommodation and views. We will definitely recommend. Shower curtain in the second bathroom can be improved - end kept coming off the railing. The soap dispensers in the second bathroom did not work. Cupboard space in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were limited due to the shelving sections being locked and not available for use.

• Junita (10/5): We knew according to the photos that this was a really nice sea apartment but our stay even surpassed our expectations. - Fantastic location, seaviews, daily cleaning included, very comfortable, quality linen with brandnew towels, quality kitchen utensils and pots. Smeg appliances to round everything off! Previous residents complained about the bathrooms. We could not find fault with anything. Shower was spacious and not small like stated in previous reviews. No mould in any of the bathrooms like in most other sea apartments we have stayed at in the past.

Loved the fact that the owner left some milk, biscuits...bit of dishwash, kitchen towel, even spices, salt and pepper . coffee and tea. For self catering I have never seen that before Appreciated it . Lovely view of the sea and promenade. The sliding door across the main bedroom had me stressed out. I think we broke it. My husband says it's easily fixable if we had a ladder lol. That would be my only "didn't like" but mostly my fault. Was as gentle as I could be trying to close it but it's a stubborn sliding door and I feel so bad.
