Guest Reviews
- Jeremy (10/5): -
- Ron (10/5): I would book this place again, especially if I could find a discounted rate. - Beautiful hotel downtown among the others. Parking is always an issue and can be expensive. I got two tickets but it was less or about the same as valet for the night.
- leroy (9/5): - Gran ubication, cerca de importantes atracciones.
Se puede caminar desde el hotel, facil estacionamiento
Excelente servicio en el restaurante
Las habitaciones espaciosas
Atencion excelente en recepcion, vallet parking
- Goertzen (9/5): -
- Cathy (9/5): Enjoyable - Clean, quiet, comfortable

- djoe105 (10/5): A Very Nice Hotel Experience - Typically I will write lengthy and detailed reviews. Not necessary for the Hotel Indigo Downtown Kansas City. Every aspect of this stay was what a guest would hope for: Great check in experience with a friendly staff, bright and active lobby area. The elevator was clean and smelt fresh, the corridors orderly and then to feel good about entering a clean and well organized room.
Corner room 810 had comfortable beds, good views and was quiet. Breakfast the next morning in the hotel restaurant was delicious with a variety of both interesting original and traditional choices.
Great location for downtown attractions, one block from the Main Street street car. I want to stay at this hotel again. And will.

- Excursion14100825020 (4/5): DONT USE THE PULLOUT - Honestly really really cool up to date hotel in a prime location…BUT unfortunately the valet service isn’t reliable with really really slow service and the prices shouldn’t be that expensive for subpar service in my opinion.
Also if your advertising rooms with pullout mattresses they better be comfortable not a glorified 2x4 with feathers and rods-
As you may have figured it out by now I had to sleep on the awful pullout
- Timothy (9/5): Boutique hotel feel with a great location and friendly staff. - Liked location and how it was decorated. Also liked the bar/restaurant. Nothing
- DEAN (9/5): Please see above - Clean, Valet Parking, Downtown Expensive
- Julie (10/5): - Hotel was beautiful, clean & in a very nice location. Was easy to get around downtown KC without using our vehicle...streetcar goes all over the area!

- Micah (10/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): Hotel was great! - Very clean and updated. Nothing
- Marnae (10/5): - The property was clean and organized. Nothing
- Staub (10/5): We will be staying here again, and looking up the other Indigos for travel. - The food was great. The server/chef were amazing. Phillip the chef was also our waiter at one point, plus our chef. Craving the grilled zucchini bread! "Green" was great too. Helpful and attentive.
Desk staff were superior.
We didnt use valet but they were always at the door.
It was close to everything we wanted to see. My husband wanted better water pressure.
- april (8/5): Broncos game - This was a very nice hotel and close to everything. The restaurant hours was not convenient for the guest. This was Christmas day and we had to walk to a different hotel and got lunch and drinks since the hotel bar was not open before the football game that evening.
- DeeAnn (10/5): Outstanding hotel - Beautiful property
Extremely clean and everyone are very friendly Nothing
- Marc (8/5): - Goede locatie, ruime kamer

- Helena (7/5): Great location for T-Mobile Center - Rooms are spacious and comfortable Valet said it was open at 7am. We left at 8:30 and requested our vehicle. No valet stand and it took 30 min to get my truck.
- Michelle (9/5): - The location was convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- Oswaldo (3/5): Disappointing - Downtown location The room was not clean, shampoo and gel were missing, the coffee machine was not cleaned, etc. The facilities are quite old, the walls in the room are patched rather than painted The hotel does not have parking; a valet parking is offered at the door for 40 USD the night. My king bed room was unilaterally and surprisingly changed to a room with 2 queen beds with no price change - claiming that it was more expensive because it was in a corner. Traveling alone for work this was not appreciated, a lower rate in a smaller room would have been preferred, but was not offered despite requested. In the very close vicinity there are much better choices at a comparable cost.
- CDTrip72 (10/5): Chappel Roan Concert Stay - We selected this place because my daughter was attending the Chappel Roan concert and we wanted something within walking distance and while the price was not cheap, it was the most reasonable in the area. It did not start well as check-in as at 4 PM, but we wanted to get in sooner so she could change into her outfit. We drove in from the Chicago area and called around 2 PM saying we were ahead of schedule and asked if a room could be ready by 2:30 and the lady on the phone said yes. We then arrived and went to the counter and mentioned we were the ones that called and the man at the desk said, ‘nobody called’ and ‘are you sure you are at the right location?.’ I then started to doubt myself, but then remembered that the lady asked for our reservation number and confirmed it, and then he said it doesn’t matter, and we could still check-in.
Check-in issues aside, once we got to the room, we loved it from as they renovated a 1930’s train building. The room was spacious and had very modern touches such as an upscale shower. There was a refrigerator in the room but not a microwave. Usually the hallways are an afterthought, but even those were really well done and had nice artwork as well. We did not get a chance to use it, but the fitness center looked above average from a regular hotel, and they did not have a pool. It should be noted that there is no self-parking, and it is valet only, but we did not mind as they came out with the car quickly when we needed it. They also had a restaurant for breakfast and the menu looked fine, but there was nobody there when we left at 10 AM on Sunday, so it was not a good sign considering the hotel was full.
Overall, we loved the hotel itself and if we had to stay in downtown Kansas City again, we would stay here.

- Abhishek (7/5): -
- Pete (8/5): - Place was great. Parking is expensive.
- Michael (10/5): - Great!
- Alyssa (10/5): - We loved everything about this hotel! The decor was beautiful, the rooms were very spacious with comfortable beds and surprisingly quiet. The staff was very friendly and the convenience of the location was perfect.
- Mario (10/5): Nice choice!! - Clean, convenient, great food/bar area.
- Elise (8/5): - Very walkable to bars, restaurants, entertainment, but not right in the middle of everything, which we appreciated. Several public parking lots nearby which was much more cost effective than the hotel valet.
- Marilyn (10/5): - Lots of restaurants near by. No shopping!
- Sheva Mohini (10/5): - Lovely staff - big, clean rooms.
- Albert (10/5): - Great hotel!!
- DEBORAH (10/5): - A good base for enjoying Kansas City; close to the free tram and within walking distance of Kaufman concert centre.
- Deborah (10/5): - We were in town to see a show, parking next to hotel and event was 2 blocks away so we could walk. Lots of people around enjoying themselves. Would go back again.
- Kristen (10/5): - The guest services team was attentive and accommodating
- Amy (10/5): - Excellent
- David (10/5): - Great breakfast
- Alyssa (10/5): - Fun decor, well appointed and really clean. Right downtown. What else could you want? Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
- Tim (10/5): - The hotel was lovely. It was exactly what we wanted. Close to cafés and shops in the downtown business area recommended.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Area
- CAMILLE (10/5): - Boutique hotel with resort feel. Staff were courteous and accommodating. I loved my stay! The rooftop bar was a hit!
- Timothy (2/5): - Absolutely zero lighting in the room. No comforters only sheets.
- Marisela (10/5): - place was amazing, it was always clean and quiet. The food at the restaurant/bar was delicious. The hotel was conveniently situated to many walkable areas.
- Brant (10/5): Great place - Everyone was super nice and accommodating
- Daniel (10/5): - Amazing place. Lots of great lounges and things to do nearby. Highly reco.
- ANDREA (10/5): - The property is located in the Power & Light district. A lively area full of night life and dining options on every corner. It’s walkable and easy for ride share services to get to. The amenities were nice, and staff pleasant. The rooms were clean, and spacious, but a little dim. Otherwise, I’d stay again.
- Mike (10/5): - When I stay at a hotel I am personally just looking for somewhere updated, clean, nice staff, and walkable. This fits that bill.
- julian (10/5): My Favorite! - My 1st time visiting KC, for a friends bday.
Room was spacious and clean, nice decor. Staff was very helpful
- Anahi (8/5): - The staff was very friendly. The bed was very comfy. It was the perfect location to walk over to see a show at the Midland Theatre. Would stay here again.
- Tina (10/5): - Customer service was to notch!
- Vanessa (10/5): -
- Andre (10/5): -
- Khadijah (10/5): - Very clean room and super nice, friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.
- John (8/5): - The hotel, my stay, the staff, etc., was all very good. I feel the $100 convenience fee was out of line.
- Dina (10/5): - Everyone was so nice, really a lovely hotel. Perfect for my stay!
- Morgan (10/5): - It was excellent. Comfy room, easy to find, walking distance to concert venues and power and light district.
- Paul Eager (9/5): - Very nice hotel, beautiful decor. Excellent restaurant for dinner, but no breakfast. Walking distance to the river and back. Valet parking was offered at $40/night, but parked ourselves in a multi-storey carpark around the corner of the hotel building for half that. Great room, nice walk-in shower. Nothing.
- Melissa (10/5): - Everything went pretty smoothly, although the elevator is a little slow to get to the lobby sometimes. I had to use the stairs to get to my room the first time but it was fine every time after..
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Dog friendly. Comfortable stay for my family. Convenient to walk to street car. Coffee not available early enough (early riser).
- Kacey (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay, only recommendation is maybe add microwaves to rooms.
- James (10/5): - Everything was great
- Timothy (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay. Staff very accommodating.
- Pam (10/5): - Will stay here again
- Tricia (10/5): - Very friendly staff
- Evan (10/5): - Overall, a lovely stay. Clearly, the strength of this hotel is the congeniality and warmth of the staff. While it is clean, there are definitely areas where upkeep could happen. When I checked in, the first room I got in, had been previously used by a smoker. I had to change rooms and given the hotel’s non-smoking policy, it was curious.
- conor (10/5): - Very nice hotel all around
- james (8/5): room was great - it was a very clean and comfortable room. had no problems with the room
- Dan M. (2/5): disapointed - Room was not ready at check in time. Waited over an hour and still not ready. Given room at back of hotel that was smaller than originally requested.
- Andrew (10/5): - The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The beds were soft. It was quiet and was the perfect distance to were we needed to go that night by foot
- Steve (10/5): - Wonderful hotel! There are TWO Indigo hotels & we went to the wrong one first... This one was great! Art deco feel, spacious room, quiet, comfy bed. Valet service was exceptional! Only thing we didn't like was the shower - you can adjust the head, but it still sprayed outside onto the floor - just odd.
- Dale (8/5): - Place is extremely nice, clean and great staff!! Water for shower isn’t hot enough and the parking is difficult, can pay $40 day for valet or use a parking garage that can add up. It is very convenient to walk to so many things. Easy to get on the street cars to get around.
- DAWN (10/5): - Nice spot for a quick overnight. Didn’t have time to check out restaurant or facilities but looked good. Easy walk to T-Mobile center and Power & Light District.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent! - Everything was outstanding. Had dinner at the restaurant - delicious! Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable! I highly recommend!
- Hanah (8/5): -
- David (4/5): - The food says served until 10 but in reality it’s 9:30. Got back to our room and tried to order room service to be told that food was no longer being made. But they’d see about some chips and salsa. This has nothing to do with the hotel side, the restaurant just wanted to close their kitchen even tho they serve drinks until 11… they pigeonhole you into having to use their valet because they don’t even tell you where you can park. But if you want your vehicle between 11 pm and 7 am you are out of luck. The valet closes down at 11 they decided that so does your personal vehicle. Other than that, take a couple sleeping pills and move on the next day.
- Michael (6/5): - Poor check in - training a new employee, which is fine. But should not taken 25 minutes- then advised we had a corporate account. They pointed to a office behind counter and suggested I call the sales office?
- Cory (10/5): - Good location
- Guest (10/5): Outstanding hotel with great staff and vibe - Great Art Deco and super friendly staff
- NATHAN (7/5): Decent hotel, Not up to par with other Indigo properties I've stayed at - I was only there briefly, but it was a close drive to the places I needed to go. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The HVAC was good. On my first night I discovered (and was first to report) there was no hot water. I took a very cold shower for a "4 star" hotel. The hotel provided 2000 IHG points in response to having no hot water for nearly 24 hours (I was told it was due to a lightning strike, but the timing they stated was after I encountered the issue so who knows). I'm not sure that was a fair compensation, it certainly didn't wow me or match my experiences at other Indigo hotels. The hotel feels a bit dated, the gym has decent dumbbell offerings but otherwise is lacking in attachments for the cable machine and has a pretty modest/dated gym for the price/tier of hotel.
- Drew (10/5): - Gentleman who checked us in was very attentive and friendly. Gave us a couple drink vouchers for being a rewards member. Great location with many shops and restaurants in walking distance. Really nice bar and restaurant on property. Would not hesitate to recommend this property to any friend or family.
- richard (10/5): - Parking isn't easy, no onsite parking. Valet parking is $40 or park it yourself in a nearby parking garage for $20.
Others a great place to stay.
Excellent location. Walking distance from the midland and T-Mobile center.
- casados_cloud (2/5): This place is a joke! The will over charge you! - This is the worst ever IHG property I have stayed at. The front desk staff is totally clueless. The will over charge you once you check out. Stay away at all costs! Not worth the hassle and stress.
- Kristen (4/5): - The hotel itself was nice, but I will not be returning because my car windshield was vandalized overnight while the valet service had it. This was the only parking option available aside from unaffiliated lots nearby.
- Michael (6/5): - Check in took for ever. Asked for help and they referred me to the sales office.
- Paula (10/5): Amazing Hotel - The hotel is beautiful. It smelled so good and it was very clean. We really enjoyed spending our 27th wedding anniversary here. We plan to come back soon. There was a $100 incidental charge/hold. You do get it back. I must've missed that in the small print.
- Teresa (10/5): - Great location for events at T-Mobile Ctr.
- Emalee (10/5): - We stayed here for the convenience of how close it was to T-mobile center for our concert. Walkable- 12 min walk. So much to do around the area. Would definitely stay here again.
- Bariah (10/5): - Beautiful hotel with kind staff. Location was in a weird area. Not noisy until the morning when a trash truck came by
- Guest (8/5): - Location was great, clean rooms. The air conditioner vent rattled all night, providing a poor night’s sleep.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Dott Boss is always amazing, but seemed very short staffed for dinner and breakfast. Room was clean as always. Could use better pillows.
- Alexis (10/5): Great Stay - The room was clean, the onsite restaurant was great, and the amenities and location were amazing.
