- Lee (3/5): Actually it just was not pleasant, when I booked they said basement parking for the scooter. What they did not tell me w - Only thing I liked was the location. Walk out the door and you are in the Main Street. The rifts room I got liked in as the door handle was broken.
I woke up in the middle of the night as the ac had stopped working.
They agreed to move me to another room, on going issues with the ac cutting out. One night it was so hot I got no zero sleep. I had planned to stay fire a week, after the second night I cut my losses and found another place. Just like so many places they do not fix things

- Cassells (4/5): Disappointing - The staff were friendly and helpful. The aircon could not cope with the heat, resulting in a restless night. No tea or coffee facilities in the room.
- Lin (3/5): - Dirty , aircon leaking water
- Natalie (3/5): The day was a disappointment. Smelly too much lighter night too much noise. The food, abysmal. - Got a free upgrade….to a room on the street with the noice that keeps waking me up. The address to the property was incorrect, so frustrating as a foreigner to be standing next to the road waiting on the staff to clarify.
There was a foul smell coming from the bathroom.
Lack of proper blackout curtains had the fluorescent light shining throughout the night.
The rumor was upgraded to us right next to the street with the noise streaming in throughout the night.
- Phillip (8/5): - good value for money. Great location Room quite dark after sundown
- Kanstantsin (8/5): -
- Guus (6/5): - Prijs goedkoop Omgeving: wegwerkzaamheden veel lawaai en stof
Zwembad niet schoon
Kreeg geen deken bij extra matras
- Rodica (10/5): Team is very kind and welcome always ready to support the guests - Beautiful spacious room and bathroom with beautiful view

- Diane (2/5): - Under no circumstances would I suggest anyone to stay at this place. We stayed one night out of 14 and had to find somewhere else
Luckily Last Minute had a good option.
The reason we chose this place was its location - however yes it is in a good spot but the footpath on both sides of the street were under construction and the holes outside the hotel were unsafe.
The rooms were incorrect so that got sorted, there was no fridge in one of the rooms - that got sorted the next day.
Unfortunately, the rooms did not have any windows and it felt so claustrophobic that we had to move.
Not only the windows but the mould in the bathroom and the general cleanliness of the rooms were unacceptable. One room - the toilet was so close to the wall the only way to use it was sit sideways.
The was no hot water in either rooms.
I have to say that the staff were lovely - obviously the management do not care to keep this hotel maintained.
When looking at the lovely pictures on the webpage - just imagine no maintenance for MANY years.
- Guus (6/5): - Behulpzame personeel, prijs van hotel Locatie naast een drukke, stoffige weg die zeaan het renoveren waren
- Tom (6/5): - Rooms are ok. Some had stains on the ceiling or walls. I had to change room 2 times because there was no hot water in one, the other, bathroom door locked and wouldn't open. Limited English by staff.
- Gianluca (7/5): Posizione ottima - Stanza carina nel cuore di Sanur, ma dagli scarichi usciva un forte odore di fogna...
- Shay (10/5): Nice rooms - Nice cheap accomodation, staff were willing to help
- Newton (9/5): - Location and staff. Very accommodating. Nothing, it was a very pleasant stay.
- andrea (6/5): hotel well located and badly manteined - the position, but the room was noise because it faces the main road the wll need to be repainted, all, the refrigerator was noice so i had to unplug it, the curtain rail was broken and to keep the curtain on there was cabletis, so the curtain didn't slide properly, the hot water takes time to came, the firs night we did a late check in and they forgot to gvie is towels. the staff is nice and friendly but the hotel need maintenance
- Putri (7/5): -
- Ibrahim (7/5): Not Recommended - Location Only Very Old Need More Renovation
- Pramod (9/5): Superb -
- Lyubomir (6/5): Pleasant -
- Vicky (8/5): Very good - Everything apart from the smell coming up from the drain Smell from drain. Extremely strong. Stuff were great at trying to fix the issue but the smell kept coming back
- Andre (8/5): Very good -
- Rob (5/5): Passable -
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): Great location in the heart of Sanur huge room and very happy helpful staff - Central location Nothing
- Seaside08405312335 (2/5): If you love being in the smack of it, probably good, too noisy for us, and I like to put our passports away somewhere safe, they - We got there and it was hard trying to drag our bags up the stairs, there was about 14 stairs. I had to take my bag up then someone finally helped with my daughters bag. Then I went back down and asked about putting my passport away in a safe or safety deposit box, they had neither. Our room overlooked the street, we looked out the balcony, it was so noisy, we grabbed our bags dragged them back down the stairs and walked out.
- Monica (10/5): Perfect stay. - Great location, clean and comfortable. Nothing.
- Julian (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly staff Na
- Donna (7/5): Good - Only stayed overnight. but everything was ok. Staff were nice n friendly.
- Khya (6/5): - The location was great but our room was hot the aircon blew a whisper of air. Ants all in the room even tho the rooms only window looked out onto the staircase. Room was dated unlike the hotels pictures. The toilet made a hissing noise all day and night and the shower wasn’t great either. Sanur beach is lovely that was the only good thing about the stay.
- Janet (6/5): - convenient location; helpful staff; nice pool; needs some repair/upkeep - windows did not latch
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location and budget priced
- Victor (7/5): Good -
- Tom (5/5): Great location, lacklustre facilities. - The location is good. We stayed here because it was close to the meeting spot for one of our tours, and the surrounding area is nice. There are a few convenience stores nearby to buy water, an excellent spa is next door, and multiple great restaurants are right across the street. It's close to Sanur, so you can quickly make your way to the board walk for a nice sunrise breakfast. The bed was very comfortable, which was good. The room we were given overlooked the street, so there was a lot of noise. The water in the toilet smelled like sewer water, so every time we flushed the smell got worse. The toilet seat was cracked so it pinched our butts and the shower holder was broken so we had to hold the head of the shower hose while we washed.
- Karina (10/5): Exceptional -
- ******at (9/5): Superb - the bed is very comfortable
location is good . near to almost everthing u need cannot expect much for the price paid.. overall a pleasant experience
- Brian (4/5): Disappointing -
- Roy (10/5): - Very helpful. We changed rooms to a delux and felt like royalty. Nothing a challenge for the team.
If you book standard room this is an inner room with no windows. Delux room gas window and balcony.
- Peter (6/5): Average accommodation - Friendly staff Very poor breakfast
- Dóra (8/5): Very good -
- Patrick.075 (7/5): Surprised - This is a brilliant location opposite Massimo ( icecream and pizza shop). The rooms are quite large and spacious. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I think the hotel is good for solo travellers or couples. Not kids. The food at the restaurant is delicious. The beer is icy cold. The price was amazing in comparison to other hotels in the area. I stayed for 1 week I am struggling to find something I didn't like for a hotel in Bali. Ok, in 1 room the bed spread had some stains like spilt watermelon or something and there was a dark spot where the aircon had leaked. Might have been mould. Might not be. The pool was cold because it was 100 percent in the shade. I never saw anyone use it . Would I stay again? Yes. For sure.
- Ivan (6/5): maybe was just my room but i think there’s better value for money els where - the location is good bathroom was dirty/moldy, bed sheets had stains on them, shower had one height which was almost horizontal 🤣
- Mitsuru (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (10/5): - Thank you Mahalaksmi Hotel for a wonderful stay….12 days!!! Great room, great location, great staff and very safe & quiet. The hotel was clean and well appointed, with everything l needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect home-base for outings and day-trips, or perfect for a lazy day at home!! I am planning to stay there again and would recommend this Sanur treasure. Close to the beach, right in the main area but still so quiet & peaceful. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and the free bottled water was really helpful. The staff were the best, thank you so much to you all, big thank you to Komang at reception for excellent service, great follow-up and professionalism. See you all again soon 🙏🙏🙏
- Annafiani (8/5): - The property close to beach and convenient location in sanur area. The hotel is a bit old, we had issue with the TV not working and they finally fixed it the last night we were there. There's a smell when you turn on the water in the bathroom. The staff is realy nice and helpful.
- Jordan (8/5): - The pool area was unique.
- Zoe (8/5): great value for money and great location - was such great value for money! stuff were so nice and accommodation was very comfortable
- Sönmez (1/5): Bad - I booked and when I reached lobby of the hotel there were no one. They didn’t contact me. Poor staff and owner
- Wayne (8/5): Very good -
- Nigel (4/5): - This hotel has so much potential but they need to maintain it properly and invest more on upgrades
Some examples
Hotel entrance is very dark and not welcoming
Pool needs a bit more privacy as it’s right at the entrance and common area
The corridors felt empty and not warm
The room was old
No fridge
No safe
No boiler/kettle
Bathroom drain was very smelly every time you turn water on and need to wait for a few minutes for the smell to go
Some walls are falling apart
Not soundproof, can hear noise outside
Our AC was not working properly and it was hot during the day
The location is perfect though, middle of Sanur and walking distance to the beach
The staffs are friendly, helpful and welcoming also
One star for staffs and location
- Shazin (9/5): Superb -
- Carmen (9/5): Central location and within walking distance to the beach - Based on the price listed, the location was pretty good. Most high end resorts in the area are at least 3 times more expensive than this budget hotel… The beach is less than 10 minute walk. This hotel is also surrounded by many spas, an abundance of restaurants, shops. This is probably one of the best locations to be in Sanur. The bed and pillows were comfy. The only downside was that there was no window facing rhe street. I felt a little claustrophobic about that but again - based on the price and location It was good value overall.
- Grace (2/5): Very poor -
- Timothy (8/5): Very good - Staff could not be more helpful and kind.
Very good value A little noisy
- Tehara (10/5): - Great friendly and accomodating staff !
- Vanessa (10/5): A Quick trip to Sanur - I had a lovely time , the hotel is central to everything , mossimos , Gelato Italian restaurant across the rd . They have a cafe , restaurant . The bed was really comfortable . The staff great . A good sized room . I also enjoyed the pool . There are also massage / beauty shops close by.
- Gennadiy (8/5): Very good - Very good location, excellent staff, undercover secure parking, front restaurant.
- Frank (8/5): Great staff and close to all amenities - Staff were great and friendly and very helpful. Restaurant was good and served nice breakfast. Pool looked great. Loud air-conditioners need replacing. Local channels only on tv. Road noise.
- Jatinder (8/5): Very good -
- Manfred (9/5): Superb - Problems with safe, defekt door from wandrobe
- Gill (8/5): Very good -
- Taylor (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (1/5): Couldn't wait to get out of the place. - Bed was uncomfortable and pillowcases dirty. Towels were dirty. Room was very poorly lit, and no possibility of opening the shades as the retractors for broken. Toilet seat was broken. There was no one to check me in when I got there a bit later, even though we called the hotel, and to tell them, I would be arriving late. Also, there was no food available until the next morning. The pictures on booking.com looked like it would at least be habitable for a few days, I left after the first night. The man was kind in the morning, and discounted the room, and the breakfast was adequate.
- Jane (8/5): Great Sanur pit stop - Great location in Sanur. Very reasonably priced and perfect for a quick stay.
- Michael (10/5): Awesome staff - The stay was amazing, the hotel itself was very nice, clean and overall great. Above all, the staff was amazing! The receptionist and the bartender/restaurant were very helpful and fun to talk with, they made the stay absolutely fantastic!
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- Tony (5/5): Passable - The toilet didn't function correctly and the noise of the road and barking dogs disturbed our sleep.
- Ali (7/5): Good -
- Angela (8/5): Very good -
- Dhifany (9/5): Superb -
- Lyn (6/5): We were only there for two nights so it was ok. Great location though. - Breakfast was pretty basic but ok The downstairs room that we were in had no natural light coming in. Lots of mosquitoes by the pool.
- Una (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anuroop (5/5): Not so good - The poolside was amazing. The staff was very helpful and the location was good to catch the ferry for nusa islands Room 202.
The room size was huge, but the structure was not very thought of. The bed was in one corner and the AC was in another corner, so it took a lot of time to cool down. The bathroom was very congested, a claustrophobic person cannot go in the washroom. There was no soap or toiletries provided in the washroom. The water bottles provided were small(250ml). So you'll have to purchase additional water
- Grace (1/5): Booked and payed for on booking.com. Arrived just after midnight as my flight was delayed and was told at reception that - Nothing Nothing
- Phoebe (10/5): Highly recommend, great price, great location - Location, this place is so close to the beach where you can rent bikes and visit all of the restaurants and warungs. Staff are lovely, place is easy to get to. Don’t forget to visit the hotel restaurant, excellent food and excellent value for money The rooms don’t have a balcony area or windows (at least mine didn’t) it would’ve been nice to have some daylight shine through. Not really a massive thing of you want an outside space there is a beautiful area by the pool in the hotel
- Jess (4/5): Disappointing -
- Mike (5/5): Passable -
- Linda (6/5): Pleasant - Proximity to beach and main strip. Bathroom was smelly. Difficult to find. Noisy.
- Thomas (7/5): Good - Staff were great, bed was comfy, great location Air Con did not work, even on the lowest temperature it would blow out hot air
- Lisa (6/5): was ok but probably won’t stay again - staff and location and room size. breakfast was good. for me it had a grubby feel. noisy room and lock in room needs updating to something for sturdy.
- Ruth (8/5): OK - Its a good place, not too far from the beach, good lpcations The AC wasnt cold during the day, but for the evening its so so.
- Megan (5/5): wouldn’t call it ‘boutique’ - staff were friendly and helpful mould, the place needed a deep cleaning and some renovations
- Martha (10/5): Exceptional -
- D (6/5): Pleasant - Staff were very friendly and did their best to accommodate and assist us with late arrival amd early departure with a packed breakfast. Even though we had indicated a twin room on Booking.com, as we had not made a special request this was not available when arrived. We were given a last minute twin room which was dirty, run down, and lacking amenities.
Security is iffy, there was a screaming domestic dispute at around midnight between a British male tourist and a local Balinese woman, staff took over 15min to show up to the scene and take over. Meanwhile screaming continued the entire time.
- Ronald (6/5): Pleasant - With in our budget
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Adrienna (2/5): Never ever again . It is a health risk with all the mould - The location. Mouldy rooms, ( I saw 3 as we asked to move to another room) noisy and leaking , flooding air conditioner . I booked a twin but it wasn’t available . No windows in the first bedroom .Generally rundown hotel. Nice staff, I felt sorry for them , hard to be proud of working there.
- Michael (7/5): Fine for a short stay. - Good location. Very clean. Breakfast was very poor. Cold baked beans and cold sosages.
Room was ready but I was charged rp50 k to move into the room two hours early. No receipt.
Room window would not close or lock. Latch came off in my hand. The room was not secure.
- Kylie (1/5): didnt stay - was only there for about half an hour as we didnt get the room we booked and the one they gave us had a big leak and mould stains on the roof, they happily gave us a refund so was fine in the end.
- Sylwia (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice personel and very close to the Centre, very good breakfast Room without window
- Jan (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ida (4/5): Disappointing - I love the location ,close to everything ,the beach only about 3 minutes walk I didn't like my room. When you walk in you can see clearly big yellow stain under old look A/C. The curtain or the blind on the window not wide enough ,i have to hang up my t-shirt so people can't see through. Smell like toilet waste when you turn the shower. The fridge is not cold. The whole part of the kettle is hot when you boil the water including the handle. There was no shampoo and not enough toilet paper.
