Marcus (7/5): Good value, I would stay here again. - The location of the hotel was perfect. We arrived at 9:30 at night, so we were exhausted and did not have any time to look around. The employee's that we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. My bed was squeaky. Cleanliness was okay. There have been some updates made to these facilities over the years, but more are still needed. Not being able to open the bathroom door all of the way was inconvenient, but I understood why it could not be opened all of the way.

The gentleman who did the check in was very friendly, cordial and helpful. He took the time to explain things thoroughly. He was very nice and was definitely an asset to Days Inn.
Joel (8/5): Room, Bar on premises, what more could a biker ask for? - Although booking.com failed to process the booking with Super 8 by Wyndham Newcastle, the staff honoured the price booked (although I had to book again) and booking,com did refund me when I called. Room was great, could park the Harley directly outside my room. Having a bar in the premises was a real bonus, getting a 2 for 1 offer for my first two drinks was even better!! Didn't spot the very muddy spot between the room and the Harley.

It was pet friendly, which is fine, , however guests did not pick up after their animals-and neither did the staff. So park in front of the rooms and walk across gravel and had to dodge the dog poop. When we walked in the room it smelled like someone had just sprayed Fabuloso floor cleaner in there and someone left a half empty water bottle on the night stand. The breakfast that was included was horrible. The sausage gravy looked like it was days old. The tables were not cleaned. Chairs were dirty. Stuff was just scattered on the countertops.

Doris (6/5): - I have stayed at this property many times over the years and it definitely was not kept up to industry standards. I was happy to see it had been purchased by Wyndam/Super 8 hoping that had done a big remodel of the rooms. My room definitely had been upgraded in some respects, but there is still a lot of work to be done. Toilet seat didn't fit properly and moved around, caulking around the tub and flooring needs redone, couldn't get any hot water for a shower, found several things that were not cleaned properly, needed directions on how to operate the TV system, etc. Hoping improvements will continue.

When the room said pet friendly I "assumed" that fee was included. Ground floor, easy access for our pet. Loved that they had rags avaliable for cleaning dirty bikes and stuff at the front desk. Would definitely stay if I'm on a bike ride. Thank you Water feature was still winterized but understand it's still freezing in the day time there. I would love to see it when it's running.

GREG (2/5): - This place is extremely rundown, dirty and in disrepair. Room was dirty upon arrival, hair in the tub, trash strewn about in common areas. The stairs and sidewalks leading to rooms on upper floors are crumbling uneven and not safe. Room had dispenser for body wash and shampoo which were completely empty. No amenities or services and charged as much or more than other properties that do offer. Most outside lights are not working, it's dark, dingy, run down and needs to be heavily remodeled. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Diane (2/5): - We did not stay there, due to a family emergency, which required us to keep on traveling. I tried to cancel the reservation prior to our arrival, but due to internet reception going on and out, I kept getting a message that the site was not available. Drove across the street to the hotel & asked for a refund. Heidi, the on-duty clerk was extremely rude & kept saying she had already cancelled it. We were told we had used a one-time-use credit card & they could not refund our money, because we had booked through Expedia only minutes prior to arriving. She called her manager, Mike, while we were there & after a few minutes reiterated she could not give us a refund. I took the phone h talked to Mike h was told the same thing Heidi had said about no refund. There was a huge dog laying on the floor in the lobby that growled at us when we came in. He stopped when she said something to him. Honestly, I cannot believe Wyndom would actually attach their name to this place. I have pictures of the lobby & outside under the portico where remodeling is being done. There was also an awful smell in the lobby. I can only envision what the rooms were like. I would like an Expedia manager or a Wyndham rep to contact me. I do not condone behavior that was displayed to me by the clerk. I finally asked for a copy of t the checkout invoice; which she gave me. We tried to contact Wyndom but were disconnected. She then walked out to our car and apologized to my husband.
