Made sure we had all that we needed incl my own personal chair (much appreciated). The villa was very spacious, clean, and central. Lovely lovely lovely. The pool was very clean and refreshing. Gorgeous spas - even used them in the heat. Also washing machine and dryer. Only issue was having full access to the pool area (as they are refreshing the decking) - but we still had the whole pool to swim in. Slightly pricey but our family of 4 lovvvvved it.

Large spacious villas with everything we needed, the most comfortable resort/motel bed I have ever slept in, super quiet away from the hustle & bustle of the busy main areas, but close enough to the main township of Avarua, within easy walking distance to bus stop & amenities. Friendly staff, nothing was an issue. We loved our stay here & will definitely return when visiting Rarotonga again!

Sane always make sure that we are happy and comfortable. Sane, Joseph and team were amazing and so very welcoming. Beautiful daily breakfast with fresh tropical fruit, cereals, toast (coconut bread) and fresh pastries along with Joseph's great coffee. Joseph and Sane have a vast knowledge and informations of the island and things to see and do. Room has everything you need even washing machine and dryer. Very peaceful, private, quiet and relaxing accommodation that is not far from town and only 4 - 5 minutes away from the airport. Thank you Sane, Joseph and team for making our stay a memorable and wonderful stay. Thank you David for waiting for us when we arrived early hours in the morning much appreciated. Nothing that we didn't like we love the place.

• Josephine (7/5): Very isolated - The villa was as shown in the photos. Nancy, the lady who met me there, was so so helpful and lovely. She just couldnt do enough for me. Thank you Nancy for your kindness. You are such a lovely person. But for me the location was terrible. Its quite isolated and while i love to walk i just couldnt walk anywhere due to the agressive dogs at the end of the road. I like dogs but these were something else and each time i tried to walk they came running in packs and snarling. Dont arrive on a saturday or sunday as everything is closed from around 3pm on saturday. I hadnt booked a car as had intended to use the bus but i could not get to the main road to pick it up due to the dogs. No restaurant or breakfast available on weekends. Someone knocking on my door at 3am on the sunday morning. Manager said it was probably new arrivals. At 3am????? Because i did not come to the Cook Islands to be a prisoner in a villa. I only stayed 1 night and forfeited the cost of the remaining 2 nights i had paid for. Could not recommend for a solo without transport because of the isolated location and the dogs. If staying there, your own transport is a 100 pc necessary. The airport transfer i had booked through the company recommended by the villa did not.show up at the airport for me with my name as detailed in the email. had to look for another driver. Not the fault of the villa really but i depended on their recommendation for transfer.

• Michelle (9/5): Raro getaway - Loved the location, was very private. We enjoyed having a barbecue on the deck with the resident cat. Gorgeous breakfasts too! Had a lovely spa and coffee maker. Was nice sitting back at night watching some dvd's. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our massage's from the on-site therapist. The best thing of all was the personal touch though, in getting to meet Sane and her family and the extra miles she goes to run the villa, much appreciated. If you're a short person make sure your partner is over 5 foot to reach the kitchen cupboards on your behalf! Perhaps soap in the bathroom would useful.

• Ngamamae (9/5): Clean and spacious, friendly staff and awesome pool. Will be back - All correspondence with Sane was very helpful and friendly. The unit was very spacious for 2 and all the amenities were in great working order. The pool was a great relief on the hot days and well maintained. The washing machine and drier was appreciated as it rained a few days. We would certainly look to come back here on the next trip.

• O'hara (9/5): This is a lovely place for a little R&R - Sane is an exceptional host. Even though she provided us with detailed instructions on how to access the property, she personally greeted us on arrival (at almost midnight). Her communication was thorough and the property was lush and tropical. This particular property is not adjacent to the coast, to any restaurants, or the bus line. Since services on the island are limited on Sundays (and Kia Orana does not provide breakfast) it takes some effort to get into town. If you have mobility issues or heat (humidity) intolerance, this might not be the place for you.

I will be recommending this spot to anyone who's looking for accomm in Raro.

• Limalau (10/5): My aunty and I travelled to Raro for a relaxing holiday and we were able to do just that with the help of our beautiful - The property was based inland but still walking distance to the main township and other small stores and takeaway shops. The property is in an area which was private and quite perfect to relax and enjoy. Only feedback would be for a ramp instead of stairs on the side of the property going up the second floor villas as this would make it easier for guests to take suitcases up and down.
• Priscilla (10/5): Perfect, private, paradise - We stayed in the Honeymoon Villa and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you are wanting to fall asleep on a cloud and not wake up until noon, absolutely suggest requesting the mattress topper. The villa is right next to the pool and spa - perfect for relaxing after a long day going around the island or if you don't want to commit to beaches and sand, perfect on a hot day. The villa also has a giant bathtub which I almost fell asleep in. Absolute heaven. The villa has everything you could need - strong Wifi, smart TV with a DVD/Bluray player and lots of movies in the entertainment cabinet (which I only discovered in my second to last day, don't be like me) bathroom, laundry (washing and drying, even a laundry basket), full kitchen, lounge, dining table, coffee table, fridge, coffee machine, vacuum, and lots and lots of closet and drawer space (enough for two people who brought enough clothes for four). The bed with the canopy is great and has two generous bed side tables with lots of space. The outside area of the villa is also wonderful with deck chairs and an outdoor lounge - however it rained most of the time we were in Rarotonga so we were unable to make full of use of it and the small BBQ. Housekeeping is awesome and we would come home to made beds and fresh towels even if we were out for only an hour or so. The service is top tier. Absolutely recommend a massage from the amazing Nancy - thoroughly enjoyed my scrub and scalp massage with a refreshing nu (coconut) at the end to drink! Big thank you to Sane and her team for looking after us so well during our holiday. We'll definitely be back again. Nothing per se. I'm a on the big side size wise so the shower and toilet was a bit small for me - but I just need to lose weight by my next visit and it should be all good 😂
• Andrea (8/5): Nice and quiet - Very private. Size of room was huge. I think they have double glazing which really helps block out any early morning noise. The staff were so lovely and welcoming A few things that needed to be maintained. The outside gate to villa 1 was a nightmare to open, the bathroom door handle and toilet roll holder were loose. The rest of the villa was great. I also found it a bit challenging to find the place, as we didn’t have wifi and hadn’t received the email that gave us the directions. Was glad I wasn’t trying to find it in the dark!

• Dean (10/5): Highly recommend. You Will not be disappointed. - Wow were the first words all 7 us said when we opened the door to our apartments. I had a poolside 2 bed apartment. Stunning is an understatement. Very modern, very calming. Our apartment became the poolside hub for evening swims or spa, bbq, chilling on the deck with cocktails. A short walk to Avarua shops, Punanga Nui Market, Trader Jacks. I had to leave.

• Craig (9/5): Would definitely go there again without question. It just felt very homely. Friendly staff as well. - The breakfast was excellent, the hosts make an exceptional flat white. Was a really good experience going there. Really nice hosts, they make you feel at home straight away. Can't wait to book in there again. Spose the only thing that could have been better would be the wifi, but you don't go on holiday to look at your phone. Lol. So pretty minor.
• Faitho (9/5): Nice and relaxing way to end our busy week. - Very luxurious but starting to get a bit ‘tired’. The managers, Sane and Joseph, however were also the kindest, friendliest people ever. Nothing was a problem and Joseph provided some very insightful local information 😊🙏 The laying of fresh sand on the steps to stop them from being slippery. Not a biggy but it did get everywhere.
• Simone (9/5): A wonderful stay in a well maintained and professionally serviced villa. - The villa was most welcoming with clean and comfortable decor. It was kept clean and tidy throughout our stay which was due to the friendly and efficient staff. The villa is conveniently located close to town and the airport.

• Lana (10/5): Home away from home vibe - Loved the location, close to town, very private, swimming pool and spas were exactly what we wanted. Bonus was the link to internet! Massages - amazing! Full kitchen and coffee machine meant we didnt have to go far if we didnt want too. Rooms separated by the lounge so it was very quiet. A range of DVDs and books. Plenty of car parking and my favourite, i loved the smoochies from the villa cat! A real home away from home vibe.

• Taia (6/5): Falls short of what's advertised. - Not applicable. The bed was uncomfortable. The outdoor bathroom was awkward. A few things were falling apart. No tea bags. There was no TV and this was the same for multiple villas.
• Ross (8/5): - Great customer service and very nice accommodation. Just be sure to bring some ear plugs at night as there are many dogs barking throughout the night.

• James (10/5): Very enjoyable Winters Break at Kia Orana Villas - Host Sane was great and helped arrange a late check out as we had a late flight. The room was awesome with full cooking facilities and dishwasher, Washer , Dryer, Big 4 Post Bed, Big Bath and shower room. Swimming pool and 3 x Spa Pools The only thing I didn't like was the bed was a bit too soft for me and I got a sore back.

Staff were nice when you saw them occasionally. Biggest issue was the packs ( i mean packs of dogs up to 6/8) roaming through barking for hours nonstop, this is not our first visit to the island but by far the noisiest with fighting dogs outside the room and coming onto balcony setting off sensor lights etc and the constant barking. out of 11 nights stay only got sleep 3 nights the rest nonstop. noise.

• Denese (5/5): Passable - The bedrooms, outdoor shower + bath, big kitchen and dining, washing machine and dryer, pool and spa pools, the staff were so lovely and helpful.. The stairs if in villa 8 & 9 will be a lot for someone who is old, big, unfit, disabled, injured so make sure you request the downstairs rooms if you are any of these!!!the stairs are steep and there are a lot!! Bring 23kg luggage up is a mission if for the fit..I had a wasp hive where I showered outside so there were always wasps hanging around and I couldn’t enjoy my shower because they were always flying around me. They were also always finding a way inside so always had to have fly spray handy, also kept getting millipedes in our villa (if you touch them and they feel threatened they release a chemical all over their body that burns your skin and leaves a birthmark looking scar, and on my last night I also had red large ants which looked like fire ants but not quite sure what they were and wasn’t willing to find out so off went the fly spray 😂Don’t like that we weren’t told there was no spa/massage lady due to her going on maternity leave prior to our stay (this was one of the main reasons I had booked the villa so if your booking for this as well make sure they have the spa/massage lady present) The outdoor floors were slippery when wet/raining, there was no cafe/bar onsite, villa smelt musty,
• Acharlton (10/5): Great stay, a friendly, relaxed environment with lots of amenities, great service & lovely people. - We loved the relaxed atmosphere at the villas, and the sense of intimacy. Other villas were close but not intrusive. The pool was lovely and the three spas – great in the evening, even when it was hot. Proximity to Avarua was good, but you really need a car for ease of getting around. Staff really polite and helpful. A real family atmosphere. The villa was extremely roomy, the bed was SO comfy (I usually have trouble with beds when away, but not this one), air conditioner a necessity, the patio area with its chairs and table, was lovely to sit out reading till late in the evening. There was hardly anything we didn't like at all, but being picky, just to help perhaps a tiny improvement, personally, I would have liked just a few more things in the kitchen to make cooking a little easier, as I like to cook when away – utensils like tongs (which we bought and left there as they were cheap) and more serving and microwave dishes but it didn't ruin our pleasure. We were given one microwave dish which helped. One or two utensils didn't really work. (I always hesitate to ask for extra things. Just me.) Two bedside tables/cabinets would have been great – there was nothing to put a book or anything on, but we used the bar stools which worked quite well.

Bananas and lemongrass were given free and shared some vinegar for my dressing! 😊 Place is quiet and very relaxing which is also what we need for this vacation. Lots of DVDs free to borrow. Location is handy to shops and restaurants. Parking is ample.

Close to town, kids loved the accommodation, especially the air con rooms. My daughter played in Netball in paradise, so was handy having the spas there as well as the pool to cool down.
