- LILLIAN (9/5): Awesome overnight stay - Room 8 has the best relaxing vibe while the sliding doors are open with screen doors locked and everyday activities by others are quietly recognised
Just enough sunlight coming thru to just enjoy taking a well earned breathe Couldn't fault anything
- Ross (10/5): Byron vibes! - Great people and great spot!
- Cherie (8/5): I would happily stay there again - The location of the hotel/ motel is excellent if you want to have a beautiful meal, a few drinks, and not have to worry about driving. Parking for those wanting to dine in any of the excellent restaurants on the block was difficult to find, BUT for us staying at the hotel and parking in the guest's carpark, it was so easy. We ate at the Sports Bar on our first night - great food, great atmosphere, family-friendly but plenty of people eating and drinking without kids too. On subsequent nights, we had excellent meals at the small Italian restaurant, the Vietnamese restaurant and the Indian restaurant, all situated on the same block as the motel and ALL serving EXCELLENT food at reasonable prices. With a little grocery store, bakery and chemist also on the block, we only drove when we wanted to enjoy the beautiful things Byron Bay has to offer (like the markets and the lighthouse). The walk to the beach was a pleasant 8 minute walk.
The lady who refreshed our towels was really friendly and upbeat, too. We also enjoyed that we had two areas where we could sit outdoors. It's not a cheap place to stay and some people would expect the rooms to look more upmarket than they are. It was very clean, and well-situated, just not at all fancy.
- John (8/5): Kelly the reception lady was excellent -
- Sandi (10/5): - Exceptionally clean & spacious facilities. Loved the large glass ceiling to floor windows with sliding door to garden area.
Comfy bed.
Kitchen a bit dated, but very functional.
Handy to variety of reataurants, Post Office, Spar and bakery. Hotel Bistro has good variety of meals - enjoyed Monday night Asian Fusion dishes.
Beach access at the end of the road - easily walkable distance.
On bus route into Byron Bay - bus stop out front of accommodation.
Happy to recommend this motel to other travellers - Kelly will cheerfully look after you.

- stephen (7/5): Ideal stay away from the hype of Byron - Our go to place when we visit Byron. Clean comfortable rooms with good basic amenities a great pool, friendly very helpful staff. Located minutes walking from great food options including the pub it adjoins and coffee at the famous bakery. 10 minutes walk to Tallow Beach and a handy bus stop for trips into Byron assuming you ever want to leave Suffolk. Nothing
- Marian (10/5): - Clean, friendly, safe. Outdoor ashtray was full and uncleanness arrival, also water logged...

- ROBYN (6/5): - Good hotel, good food attached to accommodation. A few minutes walk to great bakery, IGA, Vietnamese & Indian restaurants.
The housekeeping girls were very helpful. The property is unloved.
It needs a deep clean everywhere.
Mould in shower tiles, bathroom floor was sticky.
Carpets needs a clean as marked.
The mattress was like sleeping on a board.
Paint peeling off walls.
Hand towel rail was rusted all over. The garden in one area has been cut out, due to ongoing works in that area and just bare dirt.
All such ashame as the property has potential if it was looked after properly.

- anita (5/5): Not the cheapest place to stay for what is offered. I had expected it to be more hotel less hostel - The beds were comfortable with clean bedding and there was efficient air-conditioning. A small pool on site to cool off if needed. The food available to purchase was very good with nice smoothies and good coffee. A varied enough menu of tasty food. Also the location was really well served with a Spar, off licence, pharmacy and excellent bakery nearby. TV an iron , ironing board and hairdryer were all supplied. A small kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities and a toaster. While the room wasn't filthy but could have been a fair bit cleaner. There was dust, marks and a general worn out look . The walls were not plastered and just painted bricks and no skirting board and an old carpet. It was like a prison which wasn't very pleasant. Only 1 child sized hanger in the wardrobe which was lame.

- Denise (5/5): Not worth the money - The location and the pool until we found two dead frogs in there No coffee in rooms and dead frogs in pool, poor service no reception had to go to bistro which was packed and noisy couldn't eat there. Huge Lizards in the back garden.
- Shelly (6/5): Good price to be able to spend more on adventures around the town - Close to shops and pub It was a basic pub accommodation

- Saranya (10/5): Basic but nice - Hidden gem just outside of Byron Bay, the reviews said good location but it’s about a 20 min bus journey into the main area, we didn’t mind as we got to try out the local amenities! You need to try the Bakery next door!! Better direction for checking in, a stranger directed us as we must have looked lost. The room was nice but there were stains on the sheets
- yves (7/5): for the beach and the restaurants - The park We had no room cleaning
- Evgeniya (10/5): Thank you! - Location Everything was good
Schlechtes WLAN

Would definitely stay again if in the area It is a bit dated although everything worked fine. Some of the complimentary coffee was past its best before date
- Lothar (6/5): - Super Lage Kleines Zimmer
- Keyvan (3/5): The only thing I liked was the parking available near the property, as the cleaning was a disaster. The restroom and sho - The only thing I liked was the parking available near the property. The cleaning was a disaster. The restroom and shower had mold, and there was a lot of women’s hair everywhere, especially on the bathroom floor. The mat in the property looked very dirty and unpleasant. The pictures show all the details.
- Kevin (4/5): - Needs lot of repairs
- Sandy (9/5): -
- MICHEL (10/5): Je recommande cet établissement - À propreté, restaurant et bar à proximité. Les équipements dans l'habitation. Tout était parfait
- Juri (9/5): -
- Phillip (9/5): Good quality convenient room in great area. - Location is excellent with lots of places to eat nearby, plenty of parking and a short walk to the beach. We have stayed here quite a few times and it’s basic, comfortable with kitchenette and that’s all we need for a reasonable price. Nothing really
- Hazel (5/5): Wouldn’t stay there again. - Location was ok, it had a nice bakery next to it and could walk to the beach. It was very dated and some tiles in the bathroom shower were damaged. There was also stains on the carpet and cobwebs on the ceiling and in the corners of the room.
- Leanne (9/5): -
- Juri (8/5): - It was a shame that room 6 only had a very small TV with no YouTube, apart from that, the room was great!
- Leanne (9/5): The whole experience was friendly, easy parking and the food was exceptionally good 😊 a family event we have done 2 ye - I was travelling with my 91 year old mother, the units are very accessible as is the tavern restaurant etc

- Thuy Khanh Xuan (5/5): - The rent was quite expensive for a basic room with vertically no view
- David (1/5): It could have been a very difficult situation. Fortunately we were able to book an alternative place to stay. - We could not stay at the property. It was double booked. Only an hour before arriving we were informed we could not stay there, despite booking it one month beforehand.

- Patrizia (8/5): Itwas great and we will definitely return and recommend to friends and family - Close to pub and shops Bathroom was a bit dirty . Towel hook missing off door
- Steve (10/5): Have stayed here often and always a great experience. - Clean, comfortable bed and a great area away from the hustle.
- Peter (2/5): Crap! - Location is fine as it's near our family in Beech Drive and not too far, by car, from Byron Bay Central. And the Park Pub does a decent breakfast and other meals. Also quite close to the beach if that is your go. This would be the 6th or 7th time we've stayed here over the last few years - we won't be staying again. We're too old for accommodation that just isn't up to standard.
As with our last couple of stays, there is nobody in the front office and you have to go to the pub for your room key to check-in.
Although the rooms seem to have had a recent paint job and the addition of two bright downlights, the bathroom and kitchen are well beyond their use by date and need total replacement. The matresses were too soft and engendered rather nasty back pain.
At $170 a night it is way overpriced for what you get.
[For comparison, we overnighted in a fairly new Holiday Inn on Newcastle for $190, including a sumptuous breakfast - just no comparison!].
$120 would probably be acceptable for the odd overnight traveller, though we wouldn't stay there again even at that price,
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - My go to accommodation when visiting the Byron Shire.
Clean, comfortable, small private outdoor seating area, basic but adequate kitchen facilities, great bed, fantastic salt water pool.
Surrounded by excellent eating options including the pub, Spar supermarket with a great range of food and produce to stock the fridge and the best bakery in Byron doing excellent coffee
The WiFi is patchy which affects the TV reception but a minor drawback. WiFi
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (5/5): Passable - Bathroom had no rails or hooks to hang towels.
- Kim (7/5): Good -
