- Julia (9/5): Incredible views! But they won't tell you there is a luggage transfer service from the station - View from my bedroom was just magnificent. Also from the public lounges. Saying "it's only 650m from the station" isn't sufficient - pulling heavy long-term-travel bags up the hill in 20cm of snow is no joke! WHY DO YOU NOT INFORM people when booking that there is actually a luggage service that will transport bags to & from the station? Not everyone has the luxury of driving!!! I only found out later on the grapevine! And there is no taxi service to speak of in Abisko or Björkliden. Saunas too close to public changing rooms - noisy and not private enough. Gym full of under maintained and non-useful obsolete equipment - someone needs to put more love in! Food was only okay - not enough range in buffets, again, more love from a foodie would go a long way.

- Alex (10/5): Best place to enjoy the arctic night - This might be the best place in the world to enjoy the northern lights. The hotel has a great location, brilliant staff and everything that you might want from a stay (including non-stop mini-store, sauna, two restaurant options, etc.). The room was small but comfortable and warm, the restaurant had some great options for dinner and the location is beyond amazing. You need only to walk 500m and you'll be in the middle of a majestic mountain waiting to be explored. There are also a lot of options for activities. The bathroom was a bit on the shabby side (and it could have used an electric heated towel rail) but this would just bring the score down to 9.75 out of 10.

La salle de jeux pour enfants était exceptionnelle et le tout était propre. La taille de la salle de bain était relativement petite mais suffisante et très propre. La lounge était quasiment parfait mais un peu froid par moment (problème de la porte d'entrée automatique double qui n'attends pas que la porte extérieure soit fermée pour ouvrir l'intérieur, par -20°C ça se sent tout de suite)

- Manon (9/5): Séjour agréable à faire au moins une fois dans sa vie - L’emplacement était incroyablement majestueux et magnifique. Il faut absolument venir à Abisko. L’hôtel est très bien situé avec une vue incroyable sur le lac. Le personnel est très accueillant. Le restaurant est très agréable. La salle de bain était glacial. Les peintures au mur s’est fritté. Le prix pour une nuit est exorbitant. Elle est dans le couloir et désagréable le matin.

Großes Zimmer, das beste Bett auf unserer Rundreise. Bad etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber super sauber. Riesiges Frühstücksbuffet und Frühstücksraum mit toller Aussicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

- Melina (8/5): Im Allgemeinen sehr zufrieden! - Das Zimmer war wirklich sauber. Und die Aussicht erst—so wunderschön! Außerdem gab es viele Aktivitäten im Hotel und im Umkreis. Und nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß ist ein super Spot, um Polarlichter zu sehen, falls man sie nicht schon vom Hotel aus sieht. Und das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig und lecker! Es ist natürlich ein bisschen teuer, aber es lohnt sich! Bucht einfach früh genug!

- akebono2017 (8/5): Good experience against past reviews - Reading past reviews in TripAdvisor, we did not have much expectations. Also when the hotel could not arrange a transfer from Kiruna airport, we were a bit surprised. But their recommended company (Kiruna Transfer) turned out to be an excellent company. We were very happy with the service. Against lukewarm reviews in TripAdvisor, we are quite happy with our stay. The reception and restaurant staffs were very helpful. The room was basic but spacious. Bathroom is very basic but I think it is common in lodges/hotels in the area. The room is a bit cold, as other review says but they provided extra blankets upon request. Restaurants, the lobby and rooms are quite dark and I struggled to see anything but it may be good for the atmosphere. Overall it was decent stay and I would like to thank the staffs who were working hard to look after us and I post this as I think they deserve a better review. We also did some ski. Ski shop in front of the hotel was very friendly and welcoming and gave us very good discount for the équipement and lift pass as we arrived quite late. Only 1 ski slope in front of the hotel was open but we actually enjoyed skiing there. No waiting for the lift and we could go down so many times before the sun goes down. The equipments were brand new.

Dålig service att man inte erbjuder möjligheten att köpa till att bli hämtad från stationen och bli körd uppför den långa backen upp till hotellet. Särskilt när det är mörkt och svinkallt.

- mlin32 (6/5): Acceptable stay but not great value, restaurant médiocre. - Stayed here for 3 nights in a single/solo room. Overall experience was just okay, not great. It's for sure, not a four-star establishment, more a 3 star. The hotel itself is well located, with a good view and near the ski slopes, and very quiet. The sauna is nice after a day of hiking. The front desk felt absent, personnel did their job but not much more. The room was correct, the bathroom small though and dated. Breakfast was average, and I cannot really recommend the restaurant since the choices are limited (often, menu items are not available) and prices are high for the quality and portion size. Service can be slow. I realise accomodation options are limited in the area and can be expensive. But I felt even given that, I didn't get much value in what I paid for.

- Anna Mikaela (4/5): Would not recommend. Go to Abisko Fjallstation. - The breakfast was good and the views are beautiful. The interiors are old, our room was dusty, and the signage for the hiking trails are not so great. Earlier in the week we stayed at Abisko Fjallstation which was much nicer and has more hiking trails. There are only two hotels in this area and the other one is much better and cleaner. This hotel seems better for ski trips not hiking trips.

It was covered with low quality plastic wallpaper with lots of defects, and the water from the shower is going everywhere. The minibar which is promised in the description doesn't exist. The room definitely doesn't worth the high price.

Staff seened to be totally lost and didnt know what they were doing. It ruined our Christmas Eve. Next day our lunch didnt have vegetarian option and didnt have dessert even though they were in the menu.

- Kraaij (8/5): Overall, we enjoyed our stay. - The view and location are amazingly beautiful They have a shop (the only in Bjorkliden) which is very well equipped to survive if you stay in self-catering accommodation. For the remoteness the shop was not so expensive. We where there in low season and not many rooms where occupied. We ask to check out 1 hour later and we were allowed and not asked to pay extra. I thought that was very accommodating. The breakfast was very good. Beds are comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms are incredibly small making it somewhat cramped in. They hotel and shop refuse to take cash (only shop in Bjorkliden). If you are a foreigner and the system is temporarily down and your credit card is not working, you will have to go hungry. It can turn out in a bad situation. Every country in the world is not digitally where Sweden is, and the hotel and shop should be accommodating and understanding which they are not due to their cashless rules. We also had a delay on the train when we had to travel from Abisko to Bjorkliden which is only 10 minutes' drive apart. There was NO taxi services available in the area! We called the hotel, and they said Sory they are not able to assist. You can end up being stuck completely with a delayed train, no taxi service and the hotel that does not provide help either. When we eventually arrived with the delayed train there was no one to pick us up on the train station in Bjorkliden. If you are not equipped yet with snow gear you will slip and hurt yourself up the hill with all your luggage.

So expensive and you get so little: - I booked 3 nights and my room wasn't cleaned even once - On booking my reservation had a double bed and a minibar - none was in the room - The staff and place make you feel like you they are just trying to get as much money of you as possible
- K (9/5): - Beautiful location, nice to go hike around, view of the lake and moutains from the room. Not clear about transportation from the railroad station to the hotel. Would like to see dinner menu change.

- Hugo (9/5): En bra hotell med vidunderlig utsikt och nära till naturen . - Fantastisk utsikt mot Lapporten från vårt rum och från restaurangen och väldigt vackra omgivningar. Bekvämt rum som hade allt man behöver. Bra frukost och goda rätter att välja från middagmenyn. Utmärkt för den som vill vandra i fjällmiljö. Ganska dyrt i restaurangen.

- Elisabeth (7/5): Fantastisk utsikt från entrén och i matsalen - God frukost, saknade dock gröt. Grönsaker hade legat framme lite väl länge och börjat torka. Finns ingen hiss. Känns som ett 70 tals skidhotell vid rummen, i bastun och i torkskåps rummet.

- Ulrika45 (5/5): Ett acceptabelt hotell med lite äldre standard men med en mycket bra frukost. - Frukosten var mycket bra och det som gör vistelsen okej. Utsikten mot Lapporten gör också att känslan blir något bättre. När det gäller rummet hade vi gärna haft en annan utsikt än mot minigolfbana och parkering. Vi hade gärna sett att det fanns kylskåp på rummet. Badrummet har plastmattor på golv och väggar och var väldigt kallt. Duschen hade draperi. När det gäller restaurangen så var det en speciell Á la Carte meny som gällde men vi fick inte sitta i matsalen och äta för där skulle de som beställde från á la carte-menyn sitta? Vi blev inte kloka på det men fick gå ut i lobbyn och sätta oss.
