• Anne (8/5): Get transported to 1980s Philippines - Spacious two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a full kitchen. I slept comfortably in the master bedroom, which had its own air conditioning unit and private bathroom. There was one complimentary bottle of water provided on the kitchen table. The balcony overlooked a wall, and both the apartment and the building felt very dated—it reminded me of the Philippines in the 1980s. It was difficult to book a Grab in this area, both when heading to the airport and when trying to go out for dinner. I couldn’t find any interesting restaurants nearby, so I ended up walking 30 minutes to Abli. At one point, a Grab driver even rejected my pickup request at this location, so I walked along the busy main road to find somewhere to eat. I wasn’t looking for touristy chain restaurants in corporate malls or places like House of Lechon that appear in every guidebook. Additionally, the air conditioning was only in the master bedroom and not in the living area.

No cleaning cloths supplied to wash dishes stayed for 1 week and bedding or towels not changed, room not cleaned (and no cleaning equipment supplied for me to clean the room) or bins emptied so I left and checked into another hotel rather than stay here for any longer

The location was perfect for everything I wanted to do—I could easily walk to one of the Ayala malls, House of Lechon, and several other spots. For places further away, catching a ride was just as convenient. I booked a two-bedroom apartment so my friend and I could each have our own space, and we both had our own bathrooms with full showers. The small kitchen with a fridge was a nice touch, and each room had a window AC unit, though I rarely needed to use it. The facility felt secure with on-site guards, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was quiet with no noise or disturbances from neighbors. My only minor concern was that the furniture was a bit dated, and I didn’t have my own towel or couldn’t find where they were kept. Aside from that, everything was comfortable, and I had a good stay.

• Miranda (10/5): Family Stay - The listing was a little unclear but it was a two room suite. The second room had a twin size bed. It was perfect for my partner and I, traveling with my mother. The security team was great with us and helped in an emergency we had to get us to the hospital and took very good care of us over the following days going back and forth to the hospital. I'm so glad we had my mom in the same suite with us when the emergency happened.

Can be a Little noisy from traffic etc. on second floor. Blankets can be upgraded they are not very comfy to lie under. Towels dont dry you very well. No airco in the living room but 1 in each bedroom( manually controlled, can make loads of noise if set wrong)

But the next morning I addressed my concerns to the staff and with the approval of the owner I was able to view 2 other room options and pick my choice from the 2 available units. After that my remaining 10 days were very pleasant. The staff and the owner are very nice and accommodating. These units are perfect for long stays because of the compete kitchen and extra bedroom and bathroom. I will stay there again on my next trip to Cebu.
