• Denley (5/5): Worth a try but probably won't stay again - Clean, felt new. Small room, thin duvet. My neighbour decided to have a shower at 4am and it felt like I was in the bathroom with them. Thin walls. Hot water took a long time to come through both in the basin & shower. Shower not very powerful

• charles (5/5): my stay was good, the bathroom was very cold,cold flooring you could have done with noisy radiators - i was expecting breakfirst but was not available next door room, was very noisy. it appears thatthe bedheads are coinsided, becourse it disturbed my sleep 4am and this was totally unfair, very dissatisfied with this action the walls between need to be insulationed, to avoid susch calamities' very, noisy Radiators. didnt sleep too good with the radiators runing all nights

• Michael (5/5): Well located inn not suited to the business traveller - Heating in the room was exceptionally good and biscuits by the tea and coffee was a nice touch. The chair in the room (10) was broken and jammed into the corner to make it usable. Another guest tried to unlock the door and would have got in if the chain had not been across. The room key clearly opened more than one room. There was hair stuck on the shower cubicle (not mine) so either an oversight or not cleaned properly. Not ideal for a business traveller as nowhere to work. No breakfast on offer.
• Steven (3/5): Disappointing - The location was good for my purposes. My room was located close to the function room that had loud pumping music until late on a Sunday night. The bathroom was freezing in December due to the window being slightly open and impossible to shut. The staff were sympathetic to my complaints but ineffective.

Hot water was intermittent. Bathroom freezing. Smell of Indian restaurant all night. Outside spot lights on all night which kept the room lit up.

They will sort it out. They have a great customer service ethos

• andrew (10/5): Nice room, good night. - The staff were very welcoming. The room was modern and very clean. Nicely done and well presented. Bedding and towels will not be to everyones taste, but functional. Everything good, but the rooms seem to be split larger rooms. Not sure how they are divided but everytime I dozed off the adjoining room had someone coughing that was really loud. Not sure if this is something that they can rectify. The restaurant food was excellent as well. Very good quality and value for money.

• Lisa (3/5): Much to improve upon - Easy to find with a decent car park. I had high hopes but the further into the accommodation block I walked, so these diminished. The cleanliness of the room was summed up by condition of the remote. When I left the next morning, fire doors were propped open throughout. I had to call to reception to find out what the hammering noise was after 8pm. Rather than call me back, I was further disturbed by visits to my room. The pump on the shower gel didn’t not work and the water pressure was extremely poor.

• Oliver (6/5): Decent, though not the best. - Location is superb. Super easy access to Welwyn Garden City and surroundings. The food was excellent, and a real surprise! I didn't expect a fully fledged curry restaurant to be operating downstairs. It's not a cheap meal but I'd have said it was well worth the price. Rooms are cleaned daily, with fresh sheets and towels provided. Soap/shampoo is sometimes replenished, bring your own to be sure. No breakfast offering, and few places in the vicinity. I recommend getting some porridge pots and using the kettle provided. My bathroom was in dire need of refurbishment. Peeling paint and the signs of mould starting to appear. I stayed during some very hot weather, and the lack of air conditioning was definitely felt - I doubt this would be a problem in more mild heat, but one to bear in mind. My room had windows that faced directly onto the restaurant extractor fan. Needless to say there was a smell of curry most of the night and it was noisy until around midnight. There is also refurbishment going on in some of the other rooms. This stopped early evening, so only an issue if you have small children.

We have recently won a large contract in Welwyn so thought I would try it not for my lads . No breakfast. Two tiny towels. Positives staff very friendly and helpful.

• Mia (4/5): Very noisy pub until midnight - There was a very loud birthday party going on until midnight. I only found out on arrival. I would not have booked this place if I had known. Also, all the bed slats had dropped on arrival. We fixed this ourselves by lifting the mattress.

We expected it to be busy due to Father's day and was told our order would be an hour. It came out around 40 minutes later and we couldn't fault it. Definitely recommend, lovely service x

The room has no blackout blinds/curtains, therefore very light in the morning. The bed is a small double. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything in the adjacent rooms, even down to people breaking wind.
