• Anne Karin (6/5): Bra, men ikke like bra som forrige gang. - Sentral beliggenhet. Vi har bodd her tidligere, men denne gangen fikk vi et dobbeltrom som var litt skuffende sammenlignet med det forrige. Ikke vindu ut, altså innvendig rom. Harde senger. Toalettet var plassert omtrent oppi vasken på badet. Veldig lytt fra dør ut i trappegang. Hørte når folk kom og gikk hele tiden, og folk som pratet høyt når de kom hjem på natten og dør som smalt. Litt vanskelig med oppbevaring av bagasje etter vi hadde sjekket ut. Hyggelig og grei frokost.

• Anna (9/5): Werkelijk fantastisch! - We hadden de familiestudio. Die was prachtig! Ruim en schoon. Keuken achter kastdeuren waardoor rustige ruime uitstraling. Alles stond klaar. Door luiken was de kamer goed donker, goede temperatuur, lekkere bedden met goede kussens dus goed geslapen. Heerlijke douche. Goed ontbijt. We hadden veel langer willen blijven! Muren erg dun binnen de kamer.

• Arun (4/5): Disingenuous - Misleading images on listing, staff belligerent and unhelpful. Avoid. - Great location if you enjoy staying in a bustling lively part of the town. The property in reality was very different in the quality and finish of the furnishing compared to the images on the listing. The management confessed that the images were from a different penthouse. This one is finished no where close to the same standards as one is mislead to believe and the living room in particular is bare bones as the management admitted as “we just started managing it”. This is completely disingenuous. I’ve uploaded the images and leave it to the readers of this review to judge for themselves. Also the outdoor area instead of the lounge deck chairs in the listing had some broken dust covered chairs and one of the bathrooms had mold in the shower area which is unacceptable in a hotel of this category. When brought to the attention of the management, they were belligerent and rather than being apologetic offered us a condescending explanation on how hotel categories worked and on how images on hotel listings are only “a reference and it doesn't necessarily mean you'll be host in the the exact same accommodation”. When I said that this wasn’t acceptable, the tone turned curt and I was offered to leave the next day morning cancelling the rest of the stay. We cut the stay short from 4 nights to 1 night and we forced to find another accommodation last minute.

• Karl (2/5): NOT ONE MINUTE OF SLEEP! READ REVIEW! - 1. No parking you will have to park several hundred meters away. But fine I wouldn’t have judged them on that. 2. No open reception and no doorbell. You have to call a phone number and wait to be let in. They let us in on the second call. Not amazing but ok I’m thinking. 3. The NOISE LEVEL. My god I have NEVER experienced something like this. You will hear you neighbouring rooms whenever they open a tap or use the toilet. The doors are wooden without rubber lining (easily fixable) and my GOD what crazy level of sound the corridor. EVERYTHING. I have NOT slept. The screaming for the street was an absolute joke, they don’t have the layer of glass needed to be in this address. 4. Breakfast isn’t in the hotel but a neighbouring cafe. The café staff is friendly and the breakfast was limited but tasty and very good coffee. 5. Room clean and nice. 6. Cleaning staff nice. Reception very limited opening hours. Reception unmanned at hours when supposed to be manned. Check video below. 7. Toilet cover loose, almost fell off when sitting down. WHAT IS THIS PLACE 😂 I explained to the reception over the phone (it was not manned when supposed to) it saddens me to be negative as I am generally a jovial and positive person, but this experience was crazy. I told him that the Norwegian couple (I am Swedish) living on the same floor slept for 30 min, they told me during breakfast. I explained that I will have to share my experiences through google reviews and publish videos to explain and furthermore talk to Booking.com. The gentleman on the phone who, in general had a nice tone and listened to me, answered; – Do you know the consequences of sharing that information of a Spanish company in Spain? I answered that I am Swedish and not familiar with all rules Spanish but will share the truth in reviews. That was a quite unpleasant reaction from him. Booking I am very unhappy with this experience and will consider my options in where I choose to go. Please check my Google Maps review!

• Mark (9/5): Ideal location , comfortable apartment in a characterful building. - Location was perfect, right in the old town, but just a 5 minute walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. We arrived at the property a little early but Alex was there at reception and was extremely friendly and helpful, taking the time to highlight where all the places.of interest in Alicante were. Our room was already available so that was great. We had a large room with high ceilings and french windows with shutters. The kitchen was basic but fine for what we required. Shower was great. As the apartment is on the street, there is a little noise but really nothing of significance. This is a super accommodation for enjoying Alicante and as a base for visiting nearby Murcia and Cartagena both well worth the train trip. Nothing really, unusual toilet seat?
• Patryk (10/5): - Nie wiem od czego zacząć bo do teraz gdy już wróciliśmy do kraju to wciąż myślami jesteśmy w słonecznym Alicante a to glównej mierze też dzięki Luces de Catedral… Byliśmy w 4 osoby. Dwie osoby dorosłe oraz dwoje dzieci. Mieliśmy mieć aparatment typu studio o wielkości 30 metrów. Po przybyciu do recepcji otrzymaliśmy klucz do apartamentu na 4 piętrze. Był to aparatment ponad 100 metrowy z wielkim tarasem, dwupoziomowy, z 3 sypialniami oraz wszystkim czego potrzeba po pralkę , zmywarkę , ekspres do kawy, żelazko itd. Jedyne czego akurat tu brakowalo to suszarki do włosów ale jestem pewien, że gdybyśmy jej poprosili to obsługa by nam pomogła. Gdy zobaczyliśmy widok z tarasu na pobliskie ulice oraz Castillo de Santa Bárbara to nas zatkało… prócz wspanialego apartamentu chce pochwalic bardzo lokalizację obiektu gdyż mieści sie on w ścislym centrum dosłownie 200 m od promenady Paseo de la Explanada oraz 300 metrow od plaży. Ponadto pochwalę za wspaniały kontakt z obsługą hotelu a w szczególności z panem który sprzatał w obiekcie. Bardzo panu dziękujęmy za pomoc w dniu wolnym od pracy recepcji w dniu Santa Faz Pilgrimage. Śniadania w kawiarni na dołe kamienicy są ubogie natomiast kawę mają tam perfekcyjną gdyż sami parzą ziarna kawy (bardzo dobre opinie kawiarni). Sam wystrój kawiarni też jest bardzo klimatyczny. Luces de Catedral bardzo dziękujemy za wspaniała pobyt i mam nadzieję, że do zobaczenia! Bedziemy Was polecać.

• Melissa (8/5): Excellent Style Apartments in Old Town Location - Great location, decor and facilities provided. Spacious apartment and friendly hosts… the place is beautifully presented. Easy to access and breakfast was acceptable in the downstairs funky coffee house. Quite noisy, unless you close the doors and the shutters completely… the outside streets are very busy with restaurants (and drunks). I use ear plugs which helped a lot, even with everything closed up as the doors to the rooms are not sound proofed or soft closing. With other guests coming and going at night, it was very disturbing. Having new insulated doors could be a valuable improvement to the accommodation.

• JOANNA (4/5): Great location, disinterested staff, freezing cold shower. - The location is right in the middle of the old town, right next to the cathedral and above a lovely café. It is close to the beach and all the nightlife. It was exceptionally clean. Calling it an apartment is a stretch. It’s actually a hotel room with a very tiny sink, a very small microwave, and a very small fridge. The hot water for the shower is on a tank, but they don’t warn you of that so it runs out if two people shower one after the other! I understand that in an old building a tank has to be used, but they need to warn you! The water went cold when my daughter was in the shower, I had no idea why, found the receptionist and told her who said it was a tank and when I asked why I wasn’t warned, she simply shrugged her shoulders. She could not have been less interested. She said it would take 20 minutes to refill. 30 minutes later it was still freezing cold. I paid a lot of money to stay somewhere where two people couldn’t shower within the same half hour.

I thought I’d booked two separate bedrooms in the apartment as I took my friend as well but there was only one separate bedroom. We coped but it would be helpful to make that clearer as the pictures all suggested two bedrooms.

• Michael (10/5): - Wir waren das 2. Mal da. Die Lage ist perfekt, um die Stadt zu erkunden, an den Strand zu gehen. Durch die zentrale Lage kann man gut mittags etwas "ruhen" und hat keinen Aufwand, wenn man abends nochmal los möchte. Viele leckere Tapas Bars sind in der Nähe. Das Frühstück in dem Cafe Madness war sehr lecker ! Es war trotz der zentralen Lage nachts ruhig und wir haben gut geschlafen. Das Personal ist über WhatsApp immer zu erreichen und hilft, wenn man fragen oder Wünsche hat ❣️

Appena entri nel bellissimo mini appartamento ti accorgi che c’è davvero di tutto ma non puoi far finta di niente sull’odore abbastanza forte che ti si presenta probabilmente causa scarico/fogna o per via del bagno, altrettanto molto curato , che non presenta alcuna finestra.

• Anne (6/5): Pleasant but not as relaxing as we thought. - Good position for exploring & plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk. However, you had to sit outside & weather was cold & wet. On arrival it was quite difficult to find. A lot of noise during the night, screaming & shouting waking us several times, 2am & 4am then deliveries being made. Bathroom was too small - toilet seat was broken, sink did not drain & pop up plug did not work, shower was rain head or hand held shower but there was nowhere to hang normal shower head so you physically had to hold it if that is what you wanted to use. Shower head - This was also broken, water sprayed out at all angles & from the handle, it needed replacing. Bathroom was too narrow & lighting was terrible, too dark as shower was enclosed with wall not glass door & tiles were black. No where to put your shower bits as shelf was too high for me to reach. TV - no streaming service as advertised & internet connection was poor. It would also be good if there were curtains/voiles for privacy in the room so you did not have to shut shutters every time you wanted to change as people could see straight in from hotel opposite.

• Maciej (8/5): - Dobra lokalizacja, wszędzie blisko. Wygodne śniadania w kawiarni w tym samym budynku. Wystarczająca ilość miejsca w pokoju. Hałas. Niestety przez całą noc słychać krzyki z dworu, co jest szczególnie uciążliwe w piątek, gdy świętowanie było bardziej intensywne.

• ELENA (9/5): Не хватает внутри номера интерьерных элементов, в маленькой комнате было ощущение шкафа! - Расположение! Завтраки! Матрасы и подушки удобные! Кухня, посуда! Запах канализации в номере!

• MARIA (6/5): Ubicación y limpieza perfecta - La ubicación y la limpieza. El apartamento muy bonito. Hacia olor a desagüe, y por la noche tenía una luz de emergencia, que no se podía apagar y molestaba.
