Guest Reviews
- vanessa (9/5): Ideal stay in the centre of Warwick - Ideal location
Clean and well kept Nothing
- Lisa (8/5): Great location, clean and comfortable - Clean and comfortable with lovely staff If you have mobility issues and are allocated a market square room (the additional building) it would be a struggle with the narrow steep stairs. Didn’t impact us though
- PAUL (7/5): Location perfect, - Location is excellent, the bar areas are nice Breakfast and food in general is expensive
- Ryan (10/5): Brilliant stay, great food, lovely people. Would highly recommend - Room was clean, well looked after, great facilities to hand, in the centre of town and a very short walk to the pub itself. Nothing we didn’t like about the property.
- Georgia (8/5): Comfy room with great location - Location, comfortable room
- Rebecca (7/5): Really enjoyed it, would stay again - Good was lovely, good location, surprisingly quiet Beds were a little narrow (twin room), breakfast service was a little slow
- Eric (10/5): -
- Slade (7/5): Great for staying if you are under 50. No safety measures for the elderly - The location of the pub, not the annex The stairs. Nothing to hold on to in the shower or bathtub. The room was next to an area where the garbage pickup for several pubs came between 7 and 7.30 Monday through Saturday.
- George (8/5): - Wonderful staff, great central location. Good deal considering the area. Minor equipment issues in the room.
- ashlea (10/5): Great value for money, perfect location - Everything was great There wasn’t anything we didn’t like it was great - we would stay again
- Haring Woods (6/5): A good location for a short visit to Warwick. - Our room was in a separate building a few minutes' walk from the pub.
It was quiet and comfortable. Expecting a double bed, we had two mattresses. Bed linen was not properly made up.

- JEANETTE (10/5): Romantico - El personal Nada es hermoso

- Robert (8/5): - Great staff and location. Manager was exceptional Rooms a bit tired and bathroom needs some tlc
- PETER (8/5): Very enjoyable - Excellent location, friendly staff and great breakfast
- Mike (9/5): Great location clean and comfortable - location and sunny tables out front Internal alarm went off for several hours during night. may have been a one off
- Karen (8/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): Great stay - Great location the room was clean with a nice hot shower and plenty of tea / coffee Not saying I didn’t like it but tv was on the small size
- GRAEME (7/5): Warick wee in end - Pub /restaurants/ size of room Bed, tow singles out together not matching heights one with a distinct lean away from the other.
- Jack (10/5): -
- Celia (10/5): Definately recommend - Lovely room with all ammenities. Disabled parking outside. In town centre and very accessable. Value for money. Heaters and fans. Bed so comfortable !
- Gael (8/5): - The location is great, the staff super friendly and helpful. The food was 10 out of 10 as a bonus. The rooms are a little tired with an odd layout of
the furniture. It could be made to be a lot more practical for use.
- Tina (10/5): Wonderful place, staff professional, helpful , friendly. Food 10/10 - It is a lovely pub , the food is great , the staff are so helpful and friendly . Good value for money The bathroom door didn’t close and there was no blind on the bathroom window, looking out on to Market Square. They did offer to move us but we stayed in our comfie room as we had already been there 2 nights
- Karen (10/5): Lovely - Lovely warm atmosphere. Very central and easy walk to Warwick castle. Breakfast was lovely as well
- Ken (8/5): Worth a stay but check parking. - Really friendly staff and old English surroundings. Nice range of beers and wines. Food was spot on as it was Steak night. 20 oz steak and bottle of wine was nice. The room was big and it was clean but the bathroom let it down. Could definitely use a revamp.
Car parking was another problem. There is no parking at the Rose & Crown. Limited free parking on the street opposite. We did eventually get parked thanks to a local businessman who let me park in his private car park about five minute drive away.
- Pam (6/5): Good for 1 night but let down by food - Friendly person when we checked in. Family room large with comfy beds and a nice bathroom. Booked a table for dinner. Sat in an area tucked away from bar and atmosphere, presumably as we had a child with us, so put next to a family with much younger children.
Took ages for our drinks to be delivered. Servers lack of knowledge about menu, both drinks and food. Had to go over to the bar to reorder drinks, as seemingly our table was forgotten about being it was tucked out the way.
Lit candle placed next to our 5 year old.
Sharer steak, big enough for 1 person with 2 small cups of chips for £70. Steak under cooked (asked for medium rare, came out blue) with a big bit of fat through it. Sent it back and ate somewhere else.
- wesley (8/5): - Good food, nice family room Parking. Its in the town centre so approx 5min walk to nearby carpark
- Julie (8/5): -
- David (8/5): - Location N/A
- Richard (8/5): -
- David (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return in the future - The Rose & Crown is situated just off the Market Square and its central location suited us very well. Very nice sourdough toast for breakfast! We felt that just a net curtain at the large bathroom window was inadequate in terms of privacy and would suggest the addition of a roller blind or cafe curtain. Lamps on both sides of the double bed would be useful.
- Chris (10/5): Comfortable stay in a good location, helpful staff - Rooms are clean and tidy and good value for money There isn’t anything I didn’t like
- Jonathan (9/5): Lovely clean and great location. Food brilliant. - Location was perfect. Clean and well equipped. Staff were very helpful and well organised. Key to room was very stiff. Needs fixing as needed to battle with the room door lock to get in each time. Window won’t stay open so needs fixing. Room 10.
- Neil (10/5): -
- Nichola (9/5): Lovely place to stay. Will come back - Lovely location. Clean. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Breakfast and evening. Meal. Room was clean, tidy, spacious. Nice clean modern bathroom Not many power points in room . Staircase was steep And basic carpet etc (age of building). Glass in fire door was broken so a safety issue.
- Staples (7/5): All good staff wise. Menu was highly priced so i dint - Location was good for me Broken shower screen and toilet seat. Only one spare socket. No usb sockets
- Alexander (8/5): -
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Karl (7/5): Very nice - The black pudding was good Bacon
- Emma (8/5): - I liked that out rooms were not above the pub, but above a quiet shop just over the road. Nothing to report.
- Michael (8/5): Would probably stay again - The location is very the breakfast in the bar was very good The mattress on the bed was of very poor standard and the room itself needs a little TLC
- Loreley (10/5): -
- Sue (4/5): Disappointing compared to last time and Parking was an absolute nightmare - Jack - he is a charming, helpful man who stands out from the crowd Staying in the main building
The beds in Room 14 were not comfortable and we had to report a faulty tap
- Clare (10/5): -
- william (8/5): - Good clean and central Parking very difficult.
- Anita (8/5): Great place, great food, great staff - Convenient and dog friendly! Nothing
- Daniel (8/5): -
- D2771NEstephenr (8/5): Hotel - Comfortable room and friendly, helpful staff.
- Mark (8/5): Great location. Rabbit hole of an old building. - Comfortable room but bed not good and pillow with no support. Only 1 pillow on a double bed? Cushion for second pillow. One of worst nights sleep I have had in some time. Improved mattress and pillows and would have been very good. See above
- tony (7/5): - Location of property central to main Warwick attractions, staff welcoming and ambiance of pub good.
We had food on the Saturday evening which we enjoyed. There were a few maintenance issues within the room, which have been addressed by the manager.
- Ann (5/5): The room was very dated, stains on the carpet and on the chair. Electric Radiator was loose and away from the wall and t - Restaurant and location were good Our room was a street away from the Rose and Crown. We were on the very top floor and as we are both pensioners it wasn’t pleasant to walk the stairs.
- Tom (8/5): -
- Richard (10/5): -
- Funmi (5/5): - Friendly and warm staff Pokey mattress springs, cobwebs in bathroom, shower trays need updating
- Enrico (10/5): -
- Laurence (10/5): -
- Ian (9/5): Overall excellent would certainly stay again. - Excellent Location ,comfortable bar and restaurant with superb menu and specials board. Very nice accommodation all round great place to stay. Net curtain covering clear glazing in bathroom felt bit visible to outside viewing especially when putting the light on.
- Andy (9/5): -
- lee (8/5): -
- Horacio (9/5): Staff welcoming and helpful, beds comfy, large rooms - Location was excellent! Close to the town square for afternoon drinks The dinner in the pub was pretty pricey
- Rebecca (7/5): Safe, secure property in the centre of Warwick - Good location, very secure property. Facilities were good and everything that I needed for the weekend. Breakfast was tasty and it's always useful to stay above a pub for refreshments. It is clear that some people have been disrespectful, broken tiles/marks on the wall/etc, and these have not always been repaired.
- Julie (9/5): We needed a comfortable room for one night and the room provided everything that we were looking for - The room and check in Nothing
- Malene (10/5): -
- Jane (9/5): I would recommend anyone to stay there. And I would do so again when I'm back that way. Thank you. - Food was excellent, staff were great, friendly and polite! And knew a joke or two:) The fan in the room did not work properly. It would have been useful as it was a very hot evening/night.
- Shane (6/5): - Spacious bedroom. Decent bathroom. Not a true double bed, simply two singles pushed together - A air conditioning unit rather than a fan that did nothing to suppress the heat.
- Alison (7/5): A pleasant stay. - Great location, friendly, helpful staff, lovely breakfast with good choices. The room looked a little tired, but it was comfortable.
- Georgios (7/5): -
- Ian (10/5): -
- Chris (10/5): - Lovely room, ws immaculate I couldn't stay another night!
- Sonya (9/5): Very nice stay -
- Christian (9/5): -
- Carine (8/5): Sympathique étape à Warwick - Les chambres délicieusement désuètes. Le chaleureux pub en dessous. L'odeur de nourriture dans les couloirs. Ne pas avoir de savon dans la douche.
- Emma (10/5): -
- ELLEN (10/5): Warm, friendly - luxurious - Clean, warm, amazing food and lovely people. Lack of Car parking but this shouldn’t put you off!
- Robert (8/5): -
- susan (10/5): Great stay in Warwick - Great spot in Warwick. Lovely pub and rooms Nothing
- Robert (1/5): -
- Martin (9/5): -
- Fiona (7/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): Very enjoyable and would recommend to others. - Breakfast was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The fact there was no onsite parking.
- Madeline (10/5): -
- Stan (9/5): A very good stopping over ple - Both dinner and breakfast excellent The stairs leading to bedrooms were untidy and in need of decoration
- Rick (9/5): Lovely place - Lovely big room with a nice view of the town square. Great atmopshere in the restaurant and friendly staff to go with it.
- Oidroid (6/5): Great pub and location, accommodation needs some TLC. - Good pub, friendly staff, great location Needs some serious TLC. The corridor to get to the rooms looks and smells like it has never been cleaned and there were some very shabby elements to our room that need updating, dirty lamps, hole in the wall, shower gel was empty, soap pump fitting falling off wall....claims to be 4 star accommodation on their website, it definitely doesn't feel like it. Sharing so that hopefully this can be improved as it could be so much better quite easily.
- CAREN (8/5): Lovely weekend, would highly recommend - Excellent location, wonderful breakfast and lovely large room Only negative thing was it needed a blind in the bathroom
- lynn (5/5): -
- Alice (8/5): -
- Becky (9/5): Great location, friendly staff and comfortable room. - On the square but not in the pub so good location but no noise.
- Neal (10/5): -
- Helen (7/5): - The staff were brilliant, a great welcome even though it was in the middle of a very busy quiz night. They found us a table for dinner 15 mins before kitchen closed and we're super accommodating. The dinner was average but breakfast was superb!
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Charlotte (6/5): -
- Cordelia (8/5): - Great location. Comfortable room.
