We had a room on the top floor and though it faced the street it was quiet.
- Paul (9/5): -
- Dmitri (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast
- Dawn (10/5): Will definitely be back to stay 😁 - Great open room with plenty of light & loved the room's were around the back with parking for our stay away from the main road.I only drink peppermint T & they had fresh peppermint & added bonus 😁.Everything in the room that you would need for your stay.We had an evening meal & breakfast which were both outstanding really tasty 😋 Nothing
- Brian (8/5): Enjoyable and would stay again. - Room was comfortable. Bed was ok. Bathroom was good with walk-in shower. Restaurant was good size and pleasant. Food was ok but average. The fish dish was poor. Service was slow. All tables rocked due to floor or tables being not level.
One night was difficult to park in the pub car park.
- Thomas (9/5): Very helpfull and kind staff - Very kind and helpfull staff!
Great food, nice atmosphere.
Lovely room with big bathroom
On site parking
- Fiona (8/5): - It was close to the restaurant we were coming to eat at. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Sourdough toast with the breakfast. It was very hard and everyone in the family was disappointed as all the rest of the food was good.
- David (8/5): Very comfortable and clean room and we felt very welcome - Lovely friendly staff.Comfy room and large selection for breakfast not just full English No view from our room but it didn’t matter
- Frances (8/5): Comfortable room with great pillows - Extremely helpful and cheerful staff
- Margaret (7/5): Characterful room. Low beams and steps to contend with. - On high street Noise from bar area heard in room
- Gordon (8/5): -
- Nathan (7/5): Lovely room, welcoming staff, but perhaps breakfast should be included for the price - Lovely room and comfy bed, albeit a standard double so smaller than most hotels. Staff were welcoming and flexible with arrangements. Good location for all we wanted to do. For a mid-February stay, £138 for room only (not B&B) is a little on the expensive side. No hot water in the morning for a shower, albeit it did come back on later
- Sarah (8/5): Ideal for a one night stay in the centre of town - Central location. Comfortable bed and good size room. Very friendly staff. Tricky to access car park with very limited spaces.
- Graeme (9/5): Staff amazing and food great - Lovely village
- Patricia (8/5): Enjoyable, lovely staff and a good breakfast. - Nice charm, staff were super friendly and the breakfast was good. The bathroom was a little tired and could have been cleaner.
- Joanna (8/5): -
- Paula (10/5): - The staff were amazing, the food was fantastic. We had an amazing stay Nothing
- Sue (9/5): Staff were so friendly and helpful, super comfy rooms! - Smarties with tea at breakfast was a cute touch Evening meals only served util 6pm on a Sunday!
- Marion (10/5): - Everything
- Audrey (5/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): - Friendly staff, very helpful. The room was great and the dog bed and treats for our old labrador were a nice touch. Would highly recommend and we will definitely stay there again
- Antoine (10/5): Très appréciable. Seule si une télé de la chambre d'à côté est allumée, on l'entend également. - Le petit-déjeuner est très bon L'isolation phonique entre les chambres
- Joanne (9/5): Stylish, welcoming pub/hotel in the heart of pretty Cranleigh village. - Lovely atmosphere, beautifully kept, fantastic staff - they gave the impression of being a real team, from the moment we were shown to our room, to the lovely female server at breakfast just before we left, after two nights. Utterly spotless, clever design touches (plant-filled containers on our windowsills, enhancing our view onto Cranleigh’s pretty high street, decent toiletries, good coffee bags, great Espresso Martini! Pretty handwritten welcome card in the room, loval magazines, good room menus. Can’t think of anything in particular. Perhaps a coffee table/extra table in Room 5, in front of the sofa, would be useful, and a couple more coathangers (there were two, but it wasn’t a big deal).
- Mark (10/5): Excellent - A great room and staff, will definitely be staying there again. Great room and facilities.
- Adrian (6/5): Lovely but prepare to wait for your breakfast. - The building is stunning, staff really professional and welcoming, decorated to a high standard and immaculate. Let down sadly by the breakfast, the quality looked great, it was the long wait, after 50 mins still waiting we gave up and cancelled, put a really downer on our stay, up to that point we was saying how lovely it was. To make things worse the waitress wouldn't listen to us when we said we couldn't wait any longer as we had an appointment and multiple times asked us to wait as it wouldn't be much longer... After 50 mins it wouldn't have mattered if it came in the next 5 mins, we would have been late for our appointment... Listening is important when it comes to customer service, by not doing so further upset us.

- Sharon (9/5): A well priced comfortable stay in the centre of Cranleigh - Centrally located, clean, friendly and helpful staff
- Justin P (9/5): -
- Peter (7/5): The high volume of music continued through the night up until 11pm., and was so loud it could be heard in our room on on - As expected it was a central location, which was what we wanted. Whilst we used the bar for meeting with friends & family, the music volume was intolerable & unnecessary in such a busy pub, where people meet to chat. Having to shout to be heard & listened to is not good.
- Jane (10/5): -
- Zoe (10/5): -
- Leigh (9/5): -
- Lisa (8/5): - The staff are all fantastic 👏
The bathroom had mould in the shower and needs some tlc
Mattress is too firm for me
Great location Not a lot
- Michael (3/5): - One room really smelt. One room only smelt a bit. Very port for £100 a room per night.
- Tracey Lynn (10/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): Very good. - Separate drinking and dining areas, both very impressive. All good.
- Niall Horn (8/5): Overall, an excellent place to stay and we will be back. - Excellent hotel with a very well fitted room, although there were a few steps and low doorways to room 1 which might prove a challenge for people with mobility problems. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, and the bar was very good.
Breakfast was excellent.
An old building with lots of charecter. No problems
- Paul (8/5): -
- Craig (9/5): - Very comfortable room Wi-Fi bit fiddly
- Peter (4/5): somewhat disappointing - Room clean and accessible Being kept awake by cleaning staff clearing up after midnight when we had a early flight the next morning
- Paul R (8/5): -
- Susan (8/5): Perfect for occasion of nearby wedding - Breakfast good , service excellent Room Was a bit warm
- Alan (10/5): Congratulations - Impressive variety on breakfast menu and perfect quality when served. Rooms very comfortable. Linen & towels immaculate. Staff mostly young , all charming and very attentive. A pleasure to encounter them. There was nothing not to like.
- Neil (8/5): - Room was very comfortable. Staff were friendly. Bar was well-stocked and cosy.
- Sam (3/5): Nice pub. Shame about the hot water - Staff were very helpful. No hot water in the room. Even after leaving the water running for several minutes.
- Lars (9/5): -
- Nicky (10/5): Very comfortable and welcoming - Perfect location Nothing
- Emily (9/5): A lovely and cosy stay in Cranleigh - Our room was very spacious and cosy, and we loved the complimentary tea and coffee which was perfect for the mornings!
The bed was comfortable and we slept really well, which was helped by how quiet the high street is at night. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating, as well as the pub downstairs serving lovely food and drinks. The only downside was the shower in our en suite kept going either boiling hot, or freezing cold. But this didn't affect our stay at all as we just had quick showers in the mornings.
- Dagny (7/5): A comfy stay in Cranleigh - A cute pub with nice comfortable rooms. All nice! Cranleigh itself is very small and quickly discovered. We stayed here to see friends who live close.
- Beverley (9/5): - Comfortable room, everything we needed in it. The mirror in the bathroom could have been better and a choice of pillows.
- Wayne (9/5): -
- Heather (10/5): -
- Steven (8/5): - Location was good.
I've stayed several times before, and will stay again.
Staff always friendly and helpful. Breakfast starts from 8.00.
As I need to be my appointment at 9.00, I never have time for breakfast.
- Catherine (4/5): Expensive for small room with poor Wi-Fi. - Great location. No phone reception and no wifi initially. Spoke with manager Grace about it who was rude and defensive. Shower had nowhere to place soaps/ shampoos etc.
- karen (10/5): Lovely friendly hotel - I was staying because of work, but the accommodation was great, the bed was a bit on the hard side but that’s just personal taste, the room was spacious and comfy and there was fresh towels and toiletries provided. Overall my stay was excellent and I would definitely stay again.
- Jacqueline (10/5): -
- Simon (9/5): -
- Madeline (10/5): Lovely, clean and well located hotel - Hotel was lovely and clean with parking provided which was a great benefit. Great for travelling solo for work (chilled, quiet atmosphere) and lots of options for food and drinks! No complaints
- Alexandra (9/5): Superb -
- Juliet (9/5): We would definitely book into this lovely hotel again. - This is a really lovely old-school (but not old fashioned or dated!) hotel. The rooms were clean, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful and our breakfast was very tasty.
- Richard (9/5): Superb - The decor ! The atmosphere No AC . No phones to call reception
- Jeremy (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were so lovely and the room was such a little haven after a long day at work
- Joanne (8/5): - Lovely place to stay with nice food. Really good breakfast options. Good parking away from high street.
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (9/5): Lovely Stay - Spotlessly clean, large comfortable room with lounge area. Comfortable bed, fan in room as very hot weather during our stay. Great shower. Good choice of dinner & breakfast menus. Parking on site. Staff lovely & friendly. Good value for money. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Nothing
- Vasiliki (3/5): Poor -
- Daniela (7/5): Good - Wi-Fi was troublesome and Cranleigh as an area doesn’t have any mobile network service, so rely on the WiFi
- Jane (10/5): Short break visiting relatives, a great base with parking and friendly staff in the bar and restaurant - Lovely pub and restaurant in middle of Cranleigh, friendly and accommodating staff. Tea and coffee & TV in ensuite rooms
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Marcus (10/5): Fantastic staff and facilities - Excellent facilities and staff, this is my go to hotel when working in the area.
- Laura (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was brilliant!
- Basu (8/5): Pleasant stay but a bit pricey property - The friendly environment and the beautiful countryside The room was a little uncomfortable to get onto with luggage
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (4/5): Poor - The breakfast on offer was limited and expensive, the quality was not the best for me, sausage bap with an egg had a very sloppy bun bottom. This is an old building so we understood that presentation would have limitations but that does not excuse dust all over the curtain poles which were at eye level or an uncomfortable bed with awful pillows or a shower that would run hot and cold constantly. The lighting was terrible also.
- Robert (8/5): Clean friendly great location good vibe - Location was ideal
Parking for hotel hit & miss. Allocated parking for each room but car park shared with another company and spaces were sometimes taken by people not staying at hotel Parking
- Marina (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (8/5): Very pleasant and would return - The position and the public rooms were great. Staff friendly and efficient Our room (8) had some issues with its shape and size. Eg Position of tv on side wall was awkward to walk past without hitting and to use wardrobe. No lit mirror/table for make up etc
Bed comfortable, shower room spacious and excellent shower
- Deborah (9/5): Superb - It was all great - staff friendly and helpful , room had real character , both dinner and breakfast excellent .
- Michael (9/5): excellent pub and well worth a visit. - Room was excellent, exceptionally clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good and an excellent choice. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
- Sharon (9/5): Great pub with fantastic rooms and warm and genuine hospitality. - Really well appointed rooms and a fantastic size. Even though we staid above the pub there was no issue with noise or kitchen smell. The room was a little stuffy at night. The room had a fan. When I used this everything was much more comfortable.
- Angela (9/5): Very clean. Lovely atmosphere in the pub. All the staff sp friendly and helpful. - Great location in the High Street
- Helen (9/5): Comfortable Stay - Really comfortable bedrooms. Good breakfast. Attentive and helpful staff, who went out of their way to help us with a late check in. Our bathroom was a little out dated with a weak over the bath shower.
- Stuart (8/5): - Super stay as a half way point from Wimbledon to the coast on bikes with kids. Excellent, spacious family room. Right on the Down’s link. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere on a sunny afternoon. Gastro pub, although we felt that the standard of the food could be improved a little. Overall though an enjoyable stay.
