Comme il a énormément plu, on a passé beaucoup de temps à l’hôtel et quel bonheur d’avoir une chambre Lumineuse, confortable avec une vue magnifique. La douche est également très agréable avec un genre de bruine avec la juste pression de l’eau. On reviendra. Comme il a plu tout le week-end, on aurait aimé pouvoir faire sécher les vêtements sur le sèche serviette mais ça ne fonctionnait pas.

The staff were wonderful and we had an à la carte breakfast every day because it was so good. The bed was really comfortable. Our room on the ground floor was always cold, especially as it had a tiled floor, but no slippers were provided. The size was limited and there was only one tiny shelf to put your clothes away. We had a small outside space but it wasn’t large enough to use and had no sunlight.

De grootte van de kamer viel wat tegen. Er past geen kast in en een koffer eigenlijk ook niet (nauwelijks te openen). Dit zet de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding onder druk, hoewel de kamer zelf prima was en de lokatie optimaal.

The bathroom was different as in it was made of mostly frosted glass within the room, fabulous shower. For myself, though not my husband, the bed was far too hard and uncomfortable, I had to sleep ontop of my quilt along with my husbands (luckily we had a sheet as well) to give any kind of respite and even then it was still hard! I also didn't like the hairdryer, attached to the wall right by the sink so one couldn't sit down and style, blow dry hair (as a women often does).

L’emplacement est idéal, à proximité de la vieille ville et du centre-ville. Petit déjeuner extra. Parking privé de l'hôtel. L’insonorisation des chambres : on entend l’eau couler des autres chambres ainsi que les portes qui claquent. Par ailleurs, la salle de bain manque d’intimité, avec une paroi en verre laissant passer la lumière lorsqu’elle est allumée, ainsi que le bruit de l’extracteur.

- Michael (10/5): Unparalleled Location! - The location is sooo good. Just steps from old town and pintxos galore, it also abuts Monte Urgull the top outside attraction in San Sebastián. Staff were great. We loved the cook and breakfast in the hotel though that was an additional charge based on our booking. If you are driving to the hotel (we took a cab so this didn’t apply) you must go through a complicated permitting process to allow your car into the low emission zone. The Sansebay Hotel does a great job explaining the requirements, but this wouldn’t be necessary if you stayed further away. Still we thought it was worth it!

- Debra (10/5): Fantastic stay - Amazing location, close to the beach and to the old town with all the pintxos bars. Lovely clean rooms with extra touches of toothbrushes and razors (great for travelling with hand luggage only). Comfy large bed. We had one of the basic double bed attic rooms but the view was fantastic and as we were so high up, it was quiet. There was a remote to open the ceiling blinds making the room lovely and light.

The hotel bed and pillows were really comfortable and the room was cleaned daily. The staff were all great and always accommodated us.

- Nicola (8/5): Great location, lovely clean hotel and friendly staff - The location was ideal for access to the old town and to the Concha Bay and everything within walking distance. The directions to get there via car were not very clear - especially on Easter Sunday - a holiday so the pedestrians were walking everywhere and down the one way street that you are not supposed to drive down. Also there was not always car parking available so local underground public car parking had to be used .

- Hoi (10/5): Right in old town and the beach - They upgraded us to the penthouse which was amazing. Love the location. We bussed from Bordeaux and the walk across the new town to this hotel was easy and straight forward from San Sebastián bus station. It’s super close to the beach and right in the old town. The hotel looks to be recently refurbished too so was clean. Highly recommend this spot!

- Enzio Cortez (10/5): An exceptional stay with perfect location and stunning views. - The location was absolutely perfect, situated within walking distance of all major attractions, excellent restaurants, lively bars, and local shops. The room offered an outstanding view that made our stay truly memorable, whether enjoying morning coffee or evening sunsets. The cleanliness was impeccable throughout the apartment, which made us feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment we arrived. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with recommendations and requests. The apartment was wonderfully equipped with all the essentials we needed, including a full kitchen with modern appliances, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful amenities that made it feel like a home away from home. The parking fee was quite steep at 30 euros per night, which added a significant cost to our overall stay, especially for travelers planning an extended visit.
- Pablo (9/5): Good location. Facilities confy and clean. If you need 2 rooms check before the # of bathrooms - We rent an apartment that is operated by the hotel in a next door residential building. The location at first did not look optimal, but as soon as we start “ living” the city it turned to be great I would prefer a second bathroom. 4 adults sharing the same bathroom for four nights is not my preferred option.
