- Edward (7/5): Good price. Nice room in Adirondacks - Location
- Ann (9/5): Perfect 3 day vacation in the mountains - Love the location. The propertly, which was beautiful and available (lake front, dock, big yard). The hotel is exactly what we expected. A very old lodge in the mountains!
- Sandra (8/5): - Had dinner in the restaurant. Nice menu and food quality was also good. Was surprised that breakfast was not available particularly when there is a dining room and bar on property. Long Lake is a fairly remote location with few dining options. Bed was a little hard.
- William (8/5): Comfortable in a great location. - The location was great and the food in the restaurant was better than expected. There is no breakfast and the shower stall is very small.
- Daniel (8/5): All and all we enjoyed our stay. Thanks! - Just coffee, no breakfast. Dinner and bar was great! Lovely old lodge and authentic Adirondack experience. Unfortunately no lift or elevator. Not a big problem, just wasn't anticipated. A bit chilly in the room.
- Diane (4/5): -
- Mary (1/5): Was really hoping for a hot shower after a long hard day - Good bed
Good view No hot water for shower night I arrived or next morning either
- Dana (8/5): - The character. The bed was good. Intermittent TV reception. No fridge or microwave. And no hot water at night for tea.
- Charles (10/5): - It was like staying in an old fashioned Adirondack great camp. We love it here every year. The people are friendly and the drinks and food at the bar are amazing.
- Luanne (8/5): - Our room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. I wish there was coffee in the bedroom. They did have it setup downstairs though. Rooms were upstairs, and no elevator.. so pack a little lighter. The view of the lake was beautiful
- Tammy (9/5): Very nice - Right on lake, cute little cabin Could have used an extra blanket, surprised with the futon, not one over the back of it
- Brian (7/5): Nicely remodeled. Homey. - No breakfast
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Nice location on beautiful Long Lake and convenient for canoeing and kayaking in the area.
- Michael (8/5): - Breakfast and good coffee would have earned 5*.
- Kaye (10/5): - We stayed here for 4 nights and found it to be a great place to stay! Very comfortable, excellent food and delicious wine. Pretty view of Long Lake and very convenient to the Blue Mountaon Lake museum.
I would definitely stay here again.
- Victoria (8/5): Great location / staff / restaurant but very thin walls and low water pressure - The place was in a great location (it’s RIGHT on the lake and very close to the downtown area), staff was very kind and accommodating, and for a small town without too many dining options, it was great that the attached restaurant happens to be one of the best in town! Room was small but very cozy and the closet and bathroom were huge! The water pressure in the shower made it almost unusable it was so low. I have medium length hair and it took so long just to get the shampoo out (not sure if that was a problem just with room #17 though since we heard the showers running in the adjacent rooms and they sounded a bit better), however this brings me to my other criticism. Bring ear plugs!!! We were woken up at 6:30 AM by voices in multiple of the surrounding rooms. The walls are paper thin and we could hear every detail of conversation as if they were in the room with us. I guess these are the cons of staying in an old building.
- Theresa M (10/5): - This getaway was exactly what we were looking for. A cozy cabin on the lake. The Loons singing their welcome as we arrived. Exceptional customer service from the brothers!! An excellent restaurant on the premises and quick easy access to ADK, diners, water activities- or not. We loved it so much we asked about a pet policy and are pleased to plan another stay in the cabins with our dog very soon.
- Floyd (8/5): - Old,rustic it had history 100 year old hotel. Not for handicap people. No elevator to second floor. It's not ADA compliant. Front steps were difficult. Had dining room and pub. Diner hours. No fridge in room. Bathroom was nice with shower.
- Pamela (8/5): - The attached restaurant was excellent and clearly a favorite of people. Not many people staying in the hotel part so breakfast did not seem available. Shower is tight and the room is small but the bed was wonderful. The decor was lots of Adirondack features.
- Patricia (10/5): - So comfortable and accommodating of every request! Very friendly staff.
- Amy (8/5): - Disappointed that there was no A/C or elevator. Once we learned the building was 100 years old, we understood. The lounge area was comfy and porch views were pretty. A little on the pricey side for what we are used to. But the nostalgia was so quaint.
- Moses (9/5): -
- Michael (10/5): - Stayed several times relaxing place to stay.
- Claudiu (8/5): - Location and restaurant are great, staff is very nice. Building is very old with a weird smell.
- Eileen (8/5): - The property was very nice. The room we had over looked the lake and it was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was not open on Monday when we checked in. The only thing that was different was lots of time know one was at the front desk. Luckily we didn’t need anything. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back there.
- Marc (10/5): Best Birthday vacation ever - The location, peaceful and friendly Nothing
- Martha Mullane (7/5): nice place to relax - room was lovely and clean
was told on web site that it was the last room available , not many people there ?
maybe due to staffing?
game room was very fun
food was excellent
staff was GREAT price was high but I guess that is the price now
- Wasson (9/5): -
- Marc (10/5): Best vacation ever - It’s located in a perfect spot
- Adam (8/5): - Great stay.
- Scott (10/5): - Nice Adirondack lodge with view of Long Lake!! Great bar and food, owners present on site very friendly and helpful!! Enjoyed our 2 night getaway very much!!
- Sean (10/5): - We stayed in one of the cabins. It was very nice. We enjoyed sitting on rocking chairs in the screened in porch watching the sun go down over the lake. It was very peaceful and relaxing.
- Wanda (10/5): - We had an amazing time. Restaurant Bar has a lovely atmosphere. Food was great.
- Frank (10/5): Long view lodge is great! - I checked in and one of the owners there his name is Mat. He was very helpful and friendly even tell me about some things I could do locally in the area. The rooms are clean. The bedsheets are good quality and so is the mattress as long as you leave The sign on your door knob when you leave in the morning, they will freshen up your room for you when you’re there if you stay multiple nights, they also have a nice restaurant inside the hotel they’re closed. I think Sunday and Monday the restaurant but they reopen Tuesday serving dinner service excellent quality food And a tentative service overall very happy with this hotel. I will definitely go back. They don’t have a microwave or refrigerator in the room, but they do have a microwave that you can use in the main lobby area just something to keep in mind but still a good value
- Patrick (10/5): - The staff were very helpful, the restaurant was clean and food was terrific!
- Christine (10/5): - My husband and I enjoyed our brief stay. Dinners in the dining room were excellent. Pleasant staff and convenient location.
- Kimberly (8/5): - Great place to stay
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- kathleen (10/5): - Area is beautiful. Hotel is wonderful! Highly recommmend!
- JASON (10/5): - THE STAFF WAS FANTASTIC, FOOD WAS PERFECTION,BAR WAS VERY NICE. VERY CLEAN. LOOKING FWD TO GOING BACK.
- Kevin (8/5): Nice accommodation in a classic hotel. - This a classic old Adirondack hotel. It was very clean and quite comfortable even during subzero outdoor temperatures. I could not control my room temperature from my room and I missed a bathroom fan. None the less I was quite comfortable during my 2 night stay. The meals in the dining room were excellent.
- Leanne (10/5): - Staff was laid back and super helpful. Views of the lake are beautiful. So happy with our choice to stay here! Will be back!
- Nicholas (10/5): Rustic lodge - 100 plus year old lodge. Age shows but not a bad thing. Staff was great and rhe attached bar and restuarant was a plus.
- Corinne (10/5): Peaceful lodge with gorgeous view on the lake. - Beautiful lodge with great views on the lake. The room was spacious with top of the line furniture and mattress. Bathroom was outdated, especially the shower. Our diner at the restaurant of the lodge was delicious and we enjoyed the covered back porch in the morning.
- cait (10/5): - Beautiful, quiet. Perfect.
- Judy (10/5): - Everyone is very nice. The restaurant and bar was nice to have. Very quiet.
- Kelly (10/5): - Beautiful
- Brenda (6/5): - Beautiful view of the lake.
Wish there had been at least a continental breakfast included because there were very few options in the area for any meal.
- Starke (10/5): Very nice place for a fall paddle and hike. - Loved the views and being right on the lake. We launched our sups on the lodge’s beach. Dinner in the lodge was excellent!
- Aaron (8/5): Very good -
- Chase (10/5): - Amazing Staff and an amazing room
- Kim (6/5): - Love the classic lodge look and feel. We didn't go to the restaurant, but it looked very nice and gets good reviews. They don't have anyone at the front desk, but the housekeeper was very helpful and brought us different pillows when we asked for them since the original ones smelled bad.
- Jeff (8/5): - Need to have a least one chair in the room.
- Leah (10/5): - Everyone was super friendly, the property was absolutely gorgeous!
- Nancy (10/5): - We loved staying here. Everything you could ask for at one place. Restaurant bar and excellent accommodations . Fresh coffee every morning and private beach.
- Susan (7/5): It was quiet, even isolated, for nice country/rural natural setting - Quaint and in the mode of Adirondack history. Where restaurants were hard to find, the restaurant was wonderful and delicious. no reading light and room entry was very dark
- Carol (10/5): - This is a laid back place with beautiful views of the lake, and plenty of room to relax outside and indoors. I didn't eat at the restauran, but both the dining room and pub were packed.
- Previte (10/5): Exceptional - Simplicity
Lake view
- Richard (8/5): - Perfect location for access to all the surrounding cute towns
- Fran (10/5): - Very pleasant and excellent dining that rivals many restaurants in New York City. Lovely back porch and just a good vibe overall!
- Shirley (8/5): Overnight stay - Event though it was an older building, the rooms were clean but needed ceiling repairs. No a/c but we were lucky the night was cool. My granddaughter was looking forward to go into the lake but the beach was not clean. There was goose poop all over. The chairs were filthy so we sat on a rock. The homemade ramp to the dock was just sitting on a rock which was dangerous. The front porch could have been a little cleaner and set up better. The food in the restaurant was excellent. One night stay was fine.
- David (10/5): Lodge that is easy to get to but away from bustle of Blue Mountain Lake and Long Lake hamlets - Strategic location between Blue Mountain Lake and Long Lake (but very close to Long Lake), old-fashioned lodge downstairs but up-to-date rooms on the second floor with great mattresses. Beautiful porch above the lake, even when it's raining, but nice sunsets when it is not. Nothing - all good.
- Anthony (8/5): - terrible service, no coffee. property was very nice but nobody working there no staff at all.
- Matthew (4/5): Place needs a LOT of work. - No air conditioning and was super hot. Screens had holes so couldn’t leave windows open. Tub/shower fixture damaged and took like 10 min to drain a gallon of water so standing in filthy water whole time.
- Edward (6/5): - Property needs work.
- Karen (10/5): - This lodge was a really great surprise. The rooms are comfortable and quaint. The restaurant was outstanding. Service and menus were awesome. Definitely a great choice.
- Anna (10/5): - Great little place for lake access. The room was neat and spacious. I wish there was a mini fridge, and more space to keep/dry beach gear. It was nice to have a restaurant in the building, and hope they start opening for breakfast service.
- marc (10/5): - My family and I love staying here. It is close to everything and you can have a small fire and make smores
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The restaurant is top notch, limited menu, but the quality is great. Staff is friendly and the place is a good vibe.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Went for a bike race, was very comfortable and staff was friendly.
- Angela (10/5): We'll be renting again! - We will definitely be coming back! Our xabin was right on the lake and the lodge is 4 minutes from the general store. Food at the Lodge's restaurant was amazing. The cabin was clean and in good condition. My only complaint us the ceiling fan was an older standing one and if the weekend had highs any more than 82 we would have been uncomfortable.
- Jones (8/5): Relaxing ADK stay ! - The food in the restaurant was wonderful, and enjoyed the dining room , adirondack decor, and historic pictures. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the lake and a king size bed. Sweet ! The only downer was the teeny tiny shower. It was hard to maneuver in it ,but we managed. And maybe a dish for the soap that was on the sink would be nice, no place to put it upon usage. Would like to see maybe full breakfast offered in the dining room or at least a continental .
- Gary (10/5): - Very nice hotel on Long Lake in Adirondacks. Comfortable, clean lake property with great history and dinners.
- Nancy (8/5): Very good -
- Trudilyne (10/5): - This was a perfect place to stay on the way up through the Adirondacks. They even serve dinner on weekends! The burgers/fries were fabulous!
- Miriam (8/5): - Staying at the Long View Lodge gave us a genuine Adirondack experience. We especially enjoyed the porch with its rocking chairs overlooking the lake. Shower was hot and the towels were luxurious. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Matthew (10/5): - It really couldn’t have been better. We were treated like the only people there.
- Shirley (8/5): Very good -
- Paula (6/5): - Beautiful property-found a dirty bowl in one of the drawers in the room 🙁 other than that great staff
- Michele (9/5): Wonderful stay! - Friendly staff and atmosphere. Beautiful view of long lake from back patio with plenty of Adirondack chairs to sit and have a cup of coffee in the morning. Felt more like a home. Could hear the cars drive by the road, but those were few and far between at night.
- Tarah (10/5): - Great food, great service! Definitely will be back in the summer!
- Frank (10/5): - Awesome
- Joe (10/5): - Very cozy space and the bed was so comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
- Cathryn (8/5): Set in an unpretentious outdoor paradise - It is a beautiful historical inn / lodge great location for exploring the Adirondacks in a very laid back unpretentious environment.
- Raymond (6/5): - Well situated on the lake
- Peter (8/5): - good
- Ms. (7/5): average place to stay - room was nice. no view of lake from or room. nice bar and deck area staff was really non existent. no one at check in note saying come to the bar if checking in. no cups in-room, coffee available in the morning, no breakfast. limited menu in restaurant, open Wednesday-Friday, limited hours, no breakfast, only coffee in lobby. Expensive for an overnite stay
- Jimtrvlr (8/5): Lovely Long Lake Lodging - A wonderful bar in the building that supports the dinner restaurant on premises. The food choices were varied, good and in line with dinner expectations rather than bar food. The lodge also offers a spacious living area with a covered porch looking down to Long Lake. Window screens in the bedroom could use some patching.
- Ronald (6/5): - 0lder hotel being renovated. Not handicap accessible. Diningroom not open while we were there.
- Ben (2/5): Nice mattress - Rude manager, noisy and no ac! No hangers, almost nothing for the money.
Restaurant was great and the restaurant staff were great and helpful.
- Kathleen (8/5): - On Long lake where we were hiking.Great restaurant, friendly staff! Rooms(bathrooms )dated but clean and comfortable beds
- Wendy (10/5): - Great place to relax. Quiet and comfortable. Restaurant offered friendly service and good choice of entrees. The porch was the best location to read and connect with old friends. We stayed here 20 years ago and still recommend it.
- Elizabeth (6/5): It was comfortable & clean. - The view from our room & the sound of the loons on the lake. Lack of curb appeal & no one there to greet you.
- Robert (4/5): Adequate/ would not recommend. Grounds not maintained - No breakfast No reading lights in bedroom, outlets in bath did not work. Unfriendly desk attendant
- Stephen (10/5): - Very clean and friendly hotel. New bathroom. In a beautiful location on the lake, with large grounds that access the shore, The whole property has a rustic feel about it that is totally appropriate to the Adirondacks.
- Kathryn (5/5): Disappointing - Comfy beds Needs a deep clean. Noisy road. Tons of goose poop on the lawn and beach.
- Henry (10/5): - Great place
