• mamacita1001 (8/5): Nice Concept, But Facilities Could Be Better Designed - Please note that there is no elevator to reach the reception. The reception is located on the second floor, so you need to use the stairs. Inside the building, there is only one elevator, which can be slow and may require some patience. The property is clearly separated by gender: men’s floors are 3F–6F, and women’s floors are 7F–9F, which is well organized. One important point is that even if you stay for multiple nights, you are required to check in and check out every day, so that your capsule can be cleaned daily. You can keep your belongings in the same locker throughout your stay, but you still need to clear your capsule space and clean up items such as cups. Do not leave personal belongings inside your capsule. This system might sound reasonable, but in practice, I found it quite time-consuming and not very efficient. That said, you do receive a fresh towel and new pajamas every time you check in, which is a nice benefit. There is a public space on the second floor next to the reception, but it is very basic. There is no water dispenser, no complimentary drinks, and no fridge. Don't expect kitchen function. You cannot store your own food either, so do not expect any food or drink services. There are lots of eateries and convenience store in the area, though. On the positive side, there are power sockets available, so you can comfortably use a laptop without worrying about the battery. On the shower/sauna floor, there are only three private shower booths. Strangely, there are also many shower cubicles with no curtains. Although they are separated by partitions, the showers still feel completely public. The cubicles also do not have hooks, so it is unclear where to hang your towel. I love sauna, and I chose this hotel mainly for the sauna facilities and the great location in Ebisu. However, overall, the layout and design could be improved. It would be much better if each floor had a proper public space and a slightly larger powder room. It would also be more convenient to have a shoe locker area closer to the reception.

• daniels372 (8/5): Best Value in Ebisu - Do-C is the best value and location in Tokyo, as Ebisu is a crossroads to great nightlife and travel in and out of Tokyo. With a sauna and secure locker environment, it's not luxury but just a place to crash, and sweat out the day. Staff helpful, and stay amenities offered at desk. Floors and saunas are separated by gender, but WiFi and 2F area support interaction. No elevator to 2F, so guests who are mobility-impaired likely impossible. I have stayed here about 10 times.

• radjaholic (8/5): Great Capsule Hotel in Tokyo - The capsule room's are clean, the reception situated at second floor, there is waiting room while waiting check in or check out or just relax. The capsule for man and woman is separate. There is also sauna ,locker facilities. This is one of the great capsule hotel with affordable price. Shower room and sauna for man at third floor and for woman at sixth floor. Situated at Shibuya Ebisu, 3 minutes walk from Shibuya Ebisu station then take west exit. Their staff's very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this capsule hotel for backpackers or budget traveler.

• Heather (4/5): - Light stays on in pod room all night. The “door” to the pods is a blind that doesn’t block the light very well. Got woken up 2 nights in a row by people reorganizing their entire suitcase at 5:30 am, despite the no suitcases in the pod room rule. You have to check out every day at 10:30 am regardless of whether you’re staying multiple nights so they can change the sheets, i.e. no sleeping in. Mould around the sinks and on the shower room curtain. Was too nervous of mould to use the sauna. Left 2 nights early at and just ate the cost.

This is especially true when considering cleanliness, safety, noise, etc.. our stay was great, good people, well kept, safe, quiet when it was time to be. • rolex (8/5): - This is a great place if you need a rest but would not recommend for long duration travelling due to the mandatory daily check out quite early in the day. You must leave and come back during 10-12 which for some late risers is an inconvenience. Other than that it is a nice rest stop for a few nights. Staff was great and it is located right by the transit station.

• Hannah (8/5): - It was a cheap place to stay, it was more comfortable than we expected. There is no where to lock luggage. There are small lockers where you can put valuables. Staff was friendly
• Steven (6/5): - The good: Some of the staff were very friendly. (...and some weren't.) The bedding and the pillow were very comfortable. The private shower that I used was hot and had nice water pressure. Some of the other tenants were considerate. (...and some weren't.) While the hotel apparently requires you to turn in your key every time you leave, this apparently isn't enforced, thank goodness. The bad: Having to check out every day from 10am to 2pm forced me to schedule my days (and my meals) around this block of time. The capsules looked and felt pretty old, and they were about as narrow and low as any I've been in. (I couldn't actually get out of the capsule without picking up my foot to lift it over the lip of the capsule; I did this nearly every time I got out, aside from the one time I backed out of the capsule...which wasn't any more convenient.) There's a big, white metal box in the capsule; at first you might look at it (from the outside) and think, "oh, maybe there's a TV in the capsule." But no...it's just a big, white metal box, taking up space in the interior of your capsule. The sinks in the bathrooms were hard to use, what with them being tiny, in a corner and with a faucet and a paper towel dispenser over them. Two of the three toilets on my floor sprayed cold water.

The air conditioning wouldn’t work or wasn’t on or something and the staff said they couldn’t do anything about it. The lounge area was small, crowded and uncomfortable. The showers were incredible. The flow and water pressure was one of the best showers I’ve ever had. I would stay here again, but only for the incredible rate. It’s good if you want to spend as little time as humanly possible at the hotel. Other capsule hotels in the area are significantly more comfortable, but 3 times as expensive.

From the perspective of a man my size that is difficult to find.The hotel was clean and honestly quiet at night, which I didn't expect for how close it is to Ebisu station. It was also dark and cool in the capsule overnight, which added to the comfort, especially in the Summer. It's in a very convenient location.

• Coastal58401986242 (8/5): A convenient capsule hotel with a sauna - This is a capsule hotel where you can enjoy a sauna. You have to use the stairs to reach the front desk at the 2nd floor, so it can be challenging if you have heavy large luggage. The facility's Finnish-style sauna is quite hot, and there are several cold showers with temperatures ranging from 15°C to the ambient. There is a relaxation area where you can feel the outside air, but it is very small and you can hear the sounds of the bustling downtown area outside. The capsule rooms have only the bare minimum of amenities. The shared spaces can be crowded depending on the time of day. If your main purposes are to use the sauna and have a place to sleep near Shibuya, this is a very cost-effective choice.

• Angelina (8/5): - This is an excellent property for younger people. Not so much for an older one like me (65). The issue being the design of the sleeping pod. There is a curved portion to house a container of some kind. As a result, I always hit my head against it every time I go in or out. The premises are excellent. Clean and have amazing facility for the price. So close to the station.
• Gage (10/5): - Literally a five minute or less walk from Ebisu station, which was definitely nice and convenient. The staff here were what really made the stay special. It's a capsule hotel, so I obviously didn't expect like MUCH but the staff at the front desk were always so kind and welcoming and offered to help with bags and whatnot. I will say the ONLY downfall was that to get to the hotel you HAVE to climb one flight of stairs (no elevator) and when you have a lot of big luggage that can be challenging. But overall would definitely recommend!

• Jose Luis (10/5): Recommended for solo travelers. - It was close to the Ebisu train station, and a 7Eleven a cross the street. The personal was really good and they speak english so no problem with that regard. Everything was clean. it was an amazing hotel.
• daniels372 (8/5): Ebisu Hot Spot - Nestled in one of the most interesting neighborhoods in Tokyo, Do-c is a no-frills, econo deal that offers sauna/showers with the capsule experience. It's rate varies, but can be as cheap as 4,000 yen with immediate proximity to Ebisu Station and great nightlife. The front desk is 24 hours, there are limited amenities such as towels and slippers, but for those on a budget or where location is key, this is your stop. Sauna makes the deal even better.

I see the design they were going for but it exposed a lot of dirt and grime that was hidden between the walls. I’ve stayed in around 8 hostels during my stay and I would rate this one 2nd to worse, probably able to find something nicer for the same price as long as you book a day or more in advance. This was a last minute booking so we got what was available
• Joshua (10/5): Good experience, but a little warm - The desk spoke good english and explained the hotel well. Sauna and showers were nice. There was no place to put slippers, so mine were taken by someone else the next morning. I stayed in July, and it was on the warm side in the hotel, and the fan inside the capsule did not help much.
• Elann (6/5): Good hotel, mediocre pod - The hotel was nice and provided all the amenities one could need, but the big problem was the pod itself. It was pretty hot inside, and the pulldown shade was not thick enough to fully block out the light from the outside room so the pod was lit up the whole night, making it really difficult to sleep. The rest of the hotel really was nice, but the most important part - the sleep comfort, was lacking.

• laurengreeny (6/5): Fun place to stay for solo travellers - My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in February 2020. I really enjoyed the stay. I thought it was an exciting and different experience for a really good price and in an excellent location. The bathroom facilities were great, as was the sauna. My boyfriend and I both agreed that the beds were not the comfiest and it was often difficult to sleep due to the volume of other guests on the corridor and that the corridor light was left on all night. Also, it was absolutely boiling! Staff were very helpful. Although this was a fun experience, I would recommend it for the solo traveller or friends of the name gender, not couples. Exciting for a few nights but if you're a light sleeper it's maybe not the place for you.

• irinabD5805IW (8/5): Good place to stay - This capsule Hostel is a very nice and clean place with the great option to relax in the sauna, the beds are comfortable and bigger than I thought and the staff is very nice as well.The only critic I have is that the lights are always on in the room so even when you are in the capsule it is never completely dark also it is a waste of energy.
• Levinasurya (10/5): First Capsule Pod Experience - I booked from expedia and read the reviews before booking, and everything on the comments/review sections seems to be pretty accurate The capsules are more modern than other places, it’s very clean and well organized. They gave me a bag filled with 2 towels, Pj’s , toothbrush set, slippers and a tray inside the assigned locker. The locker assigned is pretty big, enough to fit one cabin sized luggage, a full sized backpack, wintercoat and more. It just wouldn’t fir larger size luggages, but there are space available for that! The receptionist also offered to keep my huge luggage in the locker on the lobby floor (which I personally think is safer, there’s tag number, my name signed on a form and someone will always be there to look after it imo?). The shower size is pretty tight, I didn’t get to try the sauna though. The capsule size is okay, yes there will be noise every now and then, but it’s manageable, it’s just like having a roommate back in Toronto. I felt secured and confident once I found out that everyone needs to give their keys to the receptionists everytime they leave the building, and exchange it with a token/card-like with their room number on it. I think it’s brilliant for security purposes. The pillow is a bit weird, like made out of beans or something. It’s fine with me though cause I have my own travel neck pillow. There is a blanket as well. The “door” on the website looks like an actual door, but it’s actually just a blind. The only thing you should know is that food and drink is not allowed in the cabin (allowed in the lobby only), the shower room is in a different floor. There is elevator, but must be able to take one level stair up to the lobby. Overall, I have a good experience. It’s perfect if you are on a budget, just need somewhere to crash and don’t mind tight spaces. Remember to bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper! :)
• TP1705 (10/5): Convenient and good price - 1 min walk from the station, free wifi, clean bathroom and friendly staff. I wish there’s a small foldable desk in the bedroom so that I can use my laptop. The sleep area is also quiet. Slippers, room wear, towels, shampoo are also provided. Can buy razor, water, skincare set at the check-in counter.
• Ddebom (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Very helpful staff. Facilities are extremely well kept and clean. Great location, 2 minute walk to Ebisu station on the Yamanote line. Less than 10 minutes on the train to Shinjuku, Harajuku and Shibuya. Highly Recommeneded!
• 685coreya (4/5): Good amenities but bad setup - Overall the facilities are nice. However, you MUST checkout each day at 10am until 1pm regardless of whether you have a multi day booking. This is a large hassle. Moreover, the showers are all located on a different floor and are in a freezing cold room.
• jujuwizz (8/5): Cute, clean hostel - My first pod visit! Not exactly as expected; more like hostel bunkbeds with plastic walls, less of a quiet enclosed experience, but it was a lovely hostel with great amenities. Almost too warm for me to sleep, but most would find that very comfortable.
• gikaren (8/5): Great - Very simple and clean, It is worth it if you are going to stay for two nights, I went with my family and we had a good time because is near to the Ebisu station. I would probably comeback next time 😊
• gerardow809 (8/5): Great location and a really clean and nice capsule hostel - The place is located near Shibuya in a place surrounded by restaurants an coffee shops, also with some bar around. Regarding the public transportation the hostel is located next to Ebisu station, so really convenient. The place is clean and you have sauna as well. If you want to experience the capsule hostel stay, this is definitely a place to do it.
• 993michelw (10/5): Nice!! - Clean, really comfortable and nice ! Really nice showers. They clean the capsules everyday. It is 20 min. From Shibuya. You have a seven eleven close to the hotel. And the best part you have a sauna everyday.

• StephenMcL21 (8/5): Great - It's really comfortable and very nice. Shower and bathroom facilities are very clean. It's so close to the city metro loop and a great location in Shibuya so perfect for doing sightseeing. Staff are very helpful.
• 238mukeshm (8/5): Visit to Ebisu Tokyo - Great capsule hotel located in her good location in Tokyo. Just a few stops from Shibaya and Shinjuku and at very good prices. Very friendly and kind staff. Would happily repeat. They provide all the necessary things like towels and pyjamas.
• whereaboutdresswell (8/5): Perfect Spot and Friendly Staff - This is the best dormitory hotel (or we can say Capsule) so far. They provided free towel and pajama. The location is really near the JR Station, it’s only 2 mins walk. However the name of the Hotel is really different with what we booked. Fortunately we can find it. In Traveloka it’s written DO-C but actually they got “Sauna+Sleep” name for the building
• mikechan7 (10/5): Perfect place to rest and charge up in ebisu - There’s not many places to stay in ebisu but if you’re looking for an affordable and fun way to spend a night or two try this capsule hotel. Male and female floors are separate but there’s a lounge on the reception floor to chat. The showers and sauna are amazing. Anytime I was feeling tired I popped in for a quick sauna session and it will wake you up. Perfect after a long flight in or a long day out. The capsules are your typical Japanese style no tv and has usb and an electrical outlet. Each floor also has lockers and restrooms. You must check out everyday at 10am but can leave your belongings in your locker and you’ll get a new amenity bag of pajamas towels slippers and toothbrush. Also there’s a lot of great food near by like Afuri, and udon yamacho to name just two. 2 minutes away from the ebisu train station makes it an easy point to travel around Tokyo without being in too busy of an area like Shibuya or Shinjuku. The only thing missing is a water cooler on each floor would be nice but they do sell drinks in the lobby.
