- Klára (10/5): - Kouzelná oáza klidu uprostřed ruchu města. Ubytování s pohádkovou zahradou, obklopenou rýžovým polem, a milým a ochotným personálem.

- Matt (10/5): - I always love the stays at Ganesha. Escape the noise and busyness of Ubud into this little piece of unpretentious authentic Balinese paradise.
- Liliane (9/5): Great stay - Everything was perfect: the location: in the centre but in a side street with a beautiful garden.
The room: big and super tidy.
The staff: very friendly and helpful.
We will definitely come back Nope

- Michelle (10/5): - Really lovely. There was an adorable duck who follows you around, a cute bunny, a puppy and many fish in the pond. You don't feel like you are staying in the centre of Ubud.
- Zoe (10/5): We loved it so much here! - My children absolutely loved it here, running around the garden with the puppy, rabbit and duck! Everything was beautiful and peace and the location was perfect, you could easily forget you were in the centre of a very busy Ubud. Would love to go back Only 1 choice for breakfast each day
- Regine (10/5): Lovely stay - I was staying in the WA bungalow upstairs. I love that it’s close to the main road but yet i couldn’t hear the traffic. My terrace was large enough and so was my room. It overlooked the koi pond and green fields which used to be rice fields. The staff is lovely, kind and helpful. It happened to be my birthday during my stay and the staff was kind enough to offer me a big bouquet of flowers and a lovely birthday card :) it’s a 5min walk to the Yoga Barn from it’s back entrance. I would definitely stay here again. There’s a lovely little chatty duck living its best life on the property :) Although i loved my bungalow, i feel like since it’s wooden inside, lighter colored curtains would brighten up the room a bit more. The ceiling fan is above the door instead of being above the bed so it can get a bit hot if it’s not on full power. The mattress was not comfortable. You can hear the downstairs neighbors a lot so earplugs are a great addition if like me you have trouble sleeping if you hear noise. I personally would prefer a shower to a bathtub but that’s me. The koi pond could use some cleaning and a filter to keep it clean. The luwaks in the cage broke my heart but any caged animal makes me sad so…
- Sandra (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shaukat (4/5): Just make sure you get what you book. Pictures do not reflect the actual place - Location is ok. They moved me into a different hotel for 2 nights, told a few days before my trip. I complained the next day, they moved me back to Ganesha, but not in the room i booked. Final day, I was supposedly moved to the room i had booked, although it seemed different from the photos.
The manager was rude and arrogant.

- Matt (10/5): - Always a peaceful stay in this lovely location. A real gem in Ubud.
- Followme1983 (10/5): Clean and central location - Nice and clean in a central location. Good value for money. Rooms are not to big, but they have a lovely terrace which made up for it.
- Pavlo (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place! Good energy and beautiful garden with luwaks and fish. Nothing
- Manitosh (8/5): Very good -
- Aude (4/5): I felt liké running away - This place has very nice bungalows but I was in a very basic room quite depressing that could have been anywhere in thé World.
I had booked for 4 nights but left thé day After for a better and cheaper place.
Breakfast has no spécial interest...
I asked to bé reimbursed as I saïd the room was not worth thé price. Thé owner gave me m'y money back for the remaining nights but kept thé Booking commission corresponding to the 4 'nights A very expensive night in the end for me... Thé winner is clearly the owner... I stopped trying to get m'y money Back as asked and will let her deal with her karma.
Dear owner, ani intelligent position would have been to fully refund thé remaining nights. You were still making enough money 🙂
There are limits to make money on someone else back.
Thank you.
- Colin (9/5): Superb - Amazing location and view. Very clean and very good value for the price. Would have been nice to have drinking water provided in the room.
- Eline (8/5): Very good - Nice quiet place. Absolutely no noise at night. We slept perfectly.
Beautiful garden. Room a bit basic but clean.
- Vincenzo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Prakash (4/5): Disappointing - It was good for older people, the feel was not fresh and quite old style room.
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Georgina (8/5): Very good - We have stayed here each year for many years and now see many improvements. It's quiet and comfortable.
- You (10/5): Exceptional - Ganesha Ubud Inn is a beautiful little hotel at the center of Ubud. We loved the room as well as the garden and the breakfast was excellent. Close to many restaurants and shops but still feels secluded once you are inside the property, with a great view of the rice field. Nothing
- Vivek (4/5): Disappointing -
- Simone (10/5): The perfect place to relax after an exciting day on Ubud's vibrant streets - We were impressed about the tranquility
As soon as you have reached Ganesha you have been in heaven. A fantastic few into green rice fields gave you a very relaxing rest after visiting Ubud. We did yoga on the balcony and enjoyed the nature surrounding us.
Incredible that this location is just a stone through from the center of Ubud… less than 2 min and you are in Hanuman Riad!
Breakfast was served with love 💗 Coffee could be served with some fresh milk As not everyone likes black coffee!
- Maz-dod0 (9/5): One of the best places we've been in Bali. Welcoming hosts and relaxing place. - Located in the center of Ubud, perfect to explore the area. The host were very friendly and the place was clean. We loved the garden and the room terrace where we had breakfast every morning. Sleep in the traditional wooden room was an amazing experience.
- Hans (8/5): - Nice garden. Big room
- Jiahui (8/5): Amazing local experience, nice view, beautiful - It has a very beautiful view. It is very quiet. The staff is friendly. The breakfast esp the pancake is delicious. Good price for quality. Just the area is not that busy in the evening.
- Felix (9/5): Superb - Gardena, the view, interior, localisation Clogged bathtub, breakfast.
- Nicky (8/5): Very good -
- Carla (10/5): This accommodation is like an oasis in the middle of Ubud! Amazing location and stunning surroundings, peaceful and poss - The place is stunning The water was a little bit difficult to regulate between hot and cold
- Simita (8/5): Very good -
- Nourah (10/5): Exceptional - Great Location right on the street, hospitality, very nice staff and owner, delicious breakfast, the view from the balcony is amazing, well maintained garden, daily room cleaning.
Highly recommended, i enjoyed every moment!
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Madeleine (7/5): Lovely staff, authentically Bali - The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were very welcoming, always smiley and happy. The scenery is very lovely and it is nice and quiet being by the rice fields whilst still being very central in Ubud. There wasn’t much privacy in the rooms, and I really felt a lack of the pool. Also my room felt very rustic like I was at one with nature (I could hear lizards on the roof etc). If that’s what you’re after then that’s great.
- Emma (10/5): Location and ambience - Can't beat the location and tranquility. Set back from the main road in a quiet spot overlooking the rice fields we enjoyed sitting on our balcony in the breeze as much as we could. Our room was big and comfortable, though the bathroom needs an update and had an occasional smell. Aircon is good, though we found the fan was sufficient for most of our stay. The staff were all very attentive to our needs and breakfast was simple but delicious and served on our balcony each morning at our convenience. For the price you pay, can't really fault this place.
- cora (10/5): - I LOVED staying at Ganesha Inn. All of the staff are so open and kind. I booked for 2 nights and extended twice!! And I will be coming back next week. It’s really a little oasis with the koi pond, fruit trees and delicious breakfast. My room was so comfortable and spacious and it’s truly the best view and quiet area you can get right off Ubud center.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dextrase (8/5): Very good - Eautiful, quiet, amazing location with rice fields and lovely courtyard
- Verified traveler (4/5): - There is no air conditioning, like advertised. The bedding looked dirty and the person who checked us in did not speak English, so we ended up leaving and going somewhere else, since it was extremely hot in August. You have to walk back quite a bit to get to the "hotel" which is a few cabins.
- Putu (9/5): Nice accomodation place - Clean rooms, nice staff, good location close to center
- Kluvers (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ramae (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (9/5): Peaceful, quiet and tucked away - Nice location right off of Jl Hanuman. Lovely courtyard with a Koi pond. A small army of ducks peruse the old adjacent rice fields for bugs (they're very cute). Room had a comfortable bed as well as a closet for storage and a desk. AC blows cold. Plenty of hot water. Quiet. Included breakfast is basic (pancake/jaffle and fruit) but there are plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from.
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were wonderful, the room was beautiful and very clean and the garden was very peaceful. Nothing
- Luke (9/5): Superb -
- Bharat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eilat (9/5): Superb -
- Ku (8/5): Very good - Great location, lot of restaurants nearby.
- Koh (7/5): best location - the owner and staff are very helpful, i had some issue with the room i booked because i overlook that is an unconditional room, owner is willing to help me to change to the room that i requested. breakfast are good but it will be better if we can get 2 or 3 choice a day. in general, very happy with what i get for the price i pay. i recommend this place if you looking for a quiet cornet in the busy centre, value for money.
- Elaine (10/5): Great place to stay in Ubud - A very peaceful place right in the city. Beautiful grounds, a nice breakfast and very kind owners
- Dale (9/5): Superb - Location is awesome . No pool
- Gizem (8/5): Great staff, great location. definitely would recommend 🥰 - location is just perfect. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, Yoga Barn(which was the most important for me). WiFi was on and off in the room.
- Min Min (10/5): - Convenient location to food and shopping. Staff is very helpful and cheerful. Love the ambience of the place and waking up to fresh air.
- Ranalli (10/5): Exceptional - Everything!
- Fabiola (8/5): Good price, good location, super safe and friendly staff! - Location is absolutely a winning. Exactly in the heart of Ubud , but far from the noisy of the street, such an oasis!
I love sitting in the porch that overlooking to the ricefields, and in the night sometimes you can see the fireflies too.
The friendliness of the staff and owner is top, cant thank them enough to be so helpful ! -
- 777blackcat (10/5): Underrated gem - Incredible! With views over a small rice field and set in the middle of Ubud, this little slice of paradise will make you want to stay forever. The poor reviews seem almost incomprehensible to me given the level of service, the amenities and the price point that we've encountered here. I guess it's like any small project anyone undertakes.. it starts off modestly and, as money comes in it grows in scope. I do note most of the poor reviews are from quite some time ago and, most of the reviewers made little to no attempt to resolve the issue with our host who is a most genial and amenable fellow dedicated to constant Improvement in the product he offers. And, as money comes in I am confident that every room will be brought up to the highest standards. I certainly have no complaint about the room we were given above reception. Waking up to seeing the rice swing gently in the morning Breeze was an absolute treat, swallows swooping gracefully for insects across the rice field and monkeys playing lazily in the trees in the distance.. I could end all of my days here and, be perfectly content with how I had spent them. As for the mundane details.. our room was clean, the aircon worked well, and the bed was soft without being overly so. Also worth mentioning, it is very quiet for ubid. There is only parking for motorcycles to the best of my knowledge because the property is set well back from the street. The grounds themselves are immaculately landscaped with a huge variety of flowering and fruiting plants and trees set amongst fantastical Balinese and Hindu statuary. I count myself very lucky to have found this place amongst a veritable sea of homestays and small hotels.
- Sonya (8/5): Will come again for sure… - Property is faced to Rice field in the center of Ubud. Peaceful place, great for meditation, Balinese decoration and a lot of trees, plants and my favorite Red Palm tree.Staff was very friendly speacialy Bapak Putu. After more than 2 years of Corona, turism as been suffer a lot, The owner as plans to increase the amount of rooms facing to rice fields and install AC units in the bedrooms. Still the big ceiling fans can make you sleep quietly and peacefully.
- Josephine (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful view of the rice fields and right in the centre of Ubud:)
- Sandra (10/5): was awesome and staff were so attentive and lovely - it was quaint and made us feel apart of the local area steep stairs to second story
- TrangAnhVu (6/5): Beautiful, traditional Indoneasian wooden style exterior, horrible rooms, one socket & bad internet - Sketchy small alley in to several home stays. Beautiful garden och very nice bungalow from the outside.
The room was horrible! Old bed and linen, did not want to lay in it so I put the sofa mattress on top of my bed. Bathroom old, dirty and smelly.
Sooo much mosquitos had to buy incent but it did not help. Was eaten alive. Generally big problem but the dirtiness did not help.
Biggest problem was there was only one socket in the room and one in the bathroom. None in the small sitting room even though we’re was a kettle and a fan…
Extremely bad internet even though there were 4 different for each bungalow/lobby but could never access the room and lobby too far
Staff friendly and English ok. She served us banana toast and fresh fruits
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good -
- Jéssica (10/5): is a great place with a lovely staff - Is beautiful, clean, nice space with good breakfast.
- Jéssica (10/5): It is a beautiful place with a lovely staff. - everything is beautiful and clean.
- Hannah (8/5): - Room booked said it had AC, just had a fan. Many rooms did have AC though.
- Joel (8/5): Great stay - Great stay. Friendly staff, clean and they offer a good breakfast. Property is lovely, centrally located yet very quiet. Shower/bath ok, with hot water! Amazing views from our balcony on the second floor.
Price quality ratio excellent!
- capoca (8/5): Nice guesthouse - We ended up in this hotel by chance since the owner of the hotel we booked made a mistake and did not have a room for us any longer. Our stay was nice: nice room, excellent view and cleanliness all around. It is also very quiet, although not far from the road.
- Alexandra (9/5): a piece of heaven in ubud - localisation everything was ok.
- Floella (8/5): such lovely people, would stay here again - such friendly staff, so attentive, clean and nice stay. The breakfast tea was lovely. nothing
- Rasmus (10/5): Authentic Ubud - Ganesha Ubud inn is a good base to explore Ubud from and Ubud center is within walking distance. The owner and the staff at the B&B where very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice, and I’m usually quite picky about the food I eat.
All last but not least the location is beautiful with a nice garden and a view overlooking a rice field.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location is wonderful. Walk to everything. Great cafe across the street. The staff are charming. The atmosphere of the rooms is great. They have a bunch of ducks that live in rice patties that you can feed. We loved our stay here. Originally we only booked for 2 nights. Ended up staying for 5.
- ReneegadeRenee (10/5): A beautiful getaway among the rice paddies - We stayed here a few years ago and I've sent my friends here ever since! The staff is so incredibly sweet and friendly, the service is great. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, they were comfy, beautifully furnished with traditional Balinese wooden furniture, air conditioned, and ours had a stunning view of the rice paddies. It is also right in the middle of Ubud so it's walking distance from all the treasures! It's an incredible value for the money as well, so I can 100 percent recommend this spot for a taste of traditional Bali lifestyle, comfort, service, location and beauty! <3
- Lynette (8/5): - Good location, very basic but friendly and cheap
- Verified traveler (4/5):
- bautistafh (8/5): Perfect for people who seek silence - I stayed here last summer, and I loved it. The room I booked was rather huge for me, it is perfect for a family. There are two beds, one sofa that as big as a bed and a terrace. It is perfectly situated near the Ubud Palace, and it's surrounded by shops and restos, My only concern was the bath tub, the heater was broken, fortunately they let me use the tub of another villa which was way nicer. I think it's a deluxe one. Kudos to the stuff!
- 643marielr (4/5): Beautiful views, dirty rooms and terrible service - Staying at Ganesha Inn is hit or miss. I have stayed here twice already, and the second time, I had to leave because of the extremely poor service and experience.
The first time I stayed, about 4 months ago, it was fairly pleasant. I stayed in the room above reception, with a fan and had to move out because it was 1) unbearably hot 2) the shower water would not go down, so you were stuck taking a shower with a huge puddle underneath you. I switched to the newer, air conditioned room with a balcony. For the price, I would recommend staying in this room. It is renovated, with an AC, balcony, decent bed and beautiful views.
The second time I booked a room here, I made sure to book the same room online. Little did I know, I was in for a pretty bad experience. My flight arrived late that night, so I wrote the hotel an email saying that I would arrive at around 130am and to please make sure there was someone present for check-in. I arrive at the hotel. No one is there. Exhausted, hot and just wanting to sleep, I was forced to book a night at the hotel next door (thankfully only $20 usd) and just check in the next morning.
The next morning comes and I go to check in. The receptionists barely speak English. I understand that this is Bali, and Im not expecting everyone to speak perfect English, but when they staff people who literally cannot understand, it is very difficult for guests to not become frustrated. So as Im waiting to check in, I find out that they do not have my reservation and that the room I specifically asked for is booked for the week. At this point, Im pretty pissed. I booked a month prior, via hotels.com and already paid. And I had specifically asked for that room, because I knew the other rooms were not great.
They offer me the non-AC ground floor room. I figure to just take it since I have already paid, they do not understand me and at this point there is no way Im going to get my money back. So I check into the room. It smells like pee, there was a huge dried booger on the bedside table, the toilet seat cover is browning and falling off, and the shower looks to disgusting to use. I stayed for one night, and left the next night.
Thankfully, the 4 nights I paid for was only about $100, so it wasnt a huge loss. However, it was still a major disappointment to have to deal with a dirty and smelly room, no one to check me in, them giving my room away and not having my reservation. As much as the views are beautiful, the hassle and lack of cleanliness is simply not worth it.
- AnnGT3 (10/5): Understated gem - I've stayed in the Rice Field Room for 10days and it's been perfect for me. Convenient as a solo female traveller to walk 10min down a gentle slope to Yoga Barn and a quick 5min uphill to the various restaurants of Goutama Selentan and DewiSri. I spend my late afternoons gazing at the Padang Tegal, with young boys playing soccer at the Posco Padalang. Every staff has been extremely nice and cheery each morning , greeting me with breakfast or a simple 'Hello' upon return.
It's not perfectly modern, as there are little gaps in the wooden door and windows but a little habit of closing them before leaving the room does wonders. The room is cleaned daily.
Last tip: water pressure is weak and the water goes from cold to scalding really fast. Just keep the tap at 4 o'clock position and it's fine.
Wifi is stable but don't expect fibre optics warpspeed.
I'll definitely be back to stay again!
- mattcW1470GW (8/5): Peaceful place in the a busy town - Lovely little place to stay in Ubud if you're looking for somewhere peaceful which also is close to the centre of town. Located on Hanoman Street (excellent for shops and places to eat) it's a 5-10 min walk to the main road, though to be honest Hanoman and the roads around it are more interesting. The In is at the end of a small alley way set off Hanoman, and there are a few other places to stay there as well. Despite it being set just off the street you really feel like you're away from it all thanks to the lovely rice paddy view.
The room was nice with a good sized comfortable bed and bathroom facilities. My only issue with the bathroom is the bath itself would never be warm as hot water ran out about half way through.
The breakfast is the standard Bali fare with fried/French toast, fresh fruit, and tea and coffee (they supply you with a thermos and teabags).
Wifi in the room was good as it seems they have 3 connections (lobby area, ground floor and 2nd floor) so everywhere is covered. Aircon is good and there is a drinks fridge at reception so you can purchase soft drinks or beer and pay when you check out. There's no pool so you'll need to look elsewhere if you want one.
Staff are friendly and they do next day laundry (I believe we paid 40k Rupiah for 2kg).
All in all a lovely place to stay in a great location.
- karan0917 (8/5): Grt place - Excellent to visit and nice work to do in a place i like to visit this place one more awsm place and grt grt experience from my side and friends excellent place and a clean place to visit and enjoy have a fun.
- remolingg (10/5): A little piece of heaven - We came to Ubud without a place to stay. Our friend recommended us this inn. It's at the end of a beautiful and quiet alley with multiple guesthouses. Sadly they only hat a room for 2 nights, we would have loved to stay longer. We had the upper storey of a 2 storey bungalow. These are placed around a beautiful garden with a koi pond and u have the view over some lovely rice pads, where children play with their kites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean (but we spent most of the time on our balcony, enjoying the atmosphere & free coffee/tea). Breakfast will be served aswell.
I can only recommend to stay here, I sure will when I come to Ubud next time.
