• Jalal (9/5): A HIDDEN GEM - A hidden gem in chanthaburi .. the location and the atmosphere both excellent. highly recommended

There was no blankets provide for the kids and the facility wanted to charge us additional after we requested blankets for them.

• Lunarchan (4/5): Disappointing - The environment is quite good. The room is really spacious and clean, with strong wifi. The hotel is so distant from downtown. At first, it looks okay. But devil is in the detail. They use low quality and cheap materials so it was not worth money or 4-star hotel at all. Bed is not comfort, air-con is very loud and look like they never cleaned it. There is no hangers available in the cabinet and dressing gown is too small and bad texture. The shower box leaks and water heat system is terribly slow. Breakfast is also terrible, salty and again use low quality food.

• Danny (7/5): All in all not a good experience in a supposedly four star establishment. - Nice fitness room and lovely swimming pool. There was no buffet for Saturday breakfast. You had to order the night before and there was little choice. I had to contend wit fried rice. For the price I paid I expected a good breakfast. Dreadful standards for a four star establishment. Should be rated as three star. I had the best room with a jacuzzi, but the jacuzzi did not work and the engineer could not fix it.

• Zilia (10/5): We had no idea what awaited us in this small town - I usually don't like to stay in hotels, even the best and most famous ones. But the experience at Baan Rim Ao was exceptional! We planned a trip to Chanthaburi for two days to see the local sights and visit the jewelry market and didn't book the hotel in advance. We looked at what was available on booking for a reasonable price with 4 stars. 

 The hotel is not in the town itself but in a picturesque area near farms on the bay. We checked in not in tourist season and there was another couple from China staying in the entire hotel besides us. How surprised we were when in the evening a group of musicians came to the restaurant (there was even a saxophonist) and arranged a whole concert for us alone. And when they brought us the menu, we couldn't believe that the oysters cost no more than 160 Bt. We decided to try it and it turned out to be the best oysters in our life - the freshest and tender. 

 The staff is a separate story. No one speaks enough English to communicate with the guest. This is not a chain hotel where the staff is trained to international standards. And that's a good thing. Because they do everything with heart and full dedication to their work. No even the highest standards can reproduce this family atmosphere.

 We liked everything very much, down to the smallest detail. And we have also never seen such a perfectly clean pool! The man who takes care of the pool is a god in his business.
 I think Baan Rim Ao Hotel is the crown jewel of Chanthaburi.

The pool is big and beautiful The staff is unprofessional and does not speak English, and because of this he made a big mistake (I asked for breakfast without pork, and the employee did not understand, and breakfast came with pork). I found two insects, one in the bathroom and one inside the room. I informed the employee and his reaction was normal. He held the insect in his hand while smiling as if things were normal. As for the restaurant, they also do not speak English and understanding with them is difficult.

The staff are friendly, helpful and accomodating as we were travelling with 14 people in our group with many requests.
