They were definitely the highlight of the experience. The breakfast was not very versatile and the selection felt quite limited. The room itself was okay, but the toilet had visible water marks, which affected the impression of cleanliness. I also noticed that the carpets in the room seemed dusty. Personally, I don’t think carpets are necessary in hotel rooms nowadays, as they tend to trap dust and make the room feel less fresh overall.

From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and truly welcoming. The hotel facilities are modern, clean, and very well maintained, making it a comfortable place to relax after a busy day in Istanbul. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to public transport and many key attractions in the city. What truly made my stay exceptional was the outstanding customer service, especially from Zineb Zaid, the Guest Relations Supervisor. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, always attentive, kind, and ready to help with any request. Her professionalism and genuine care made a big difference and added a personal touch to my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul, whether for business or leisure. Do I need to call you as well just so you will talk to me and help me solve my problem, Do I have to call you to get your attention?....I am standing right here, it is really necessary for me to call you for you to finish our conversation and help me? Claudia (8/5): good value for money for 1 week-end - The hotel itself and services were generally good, some constraints made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the wellness area. Overall, it felt less free and more regulated than expected, particularly in comparison to more spa experiences in other locations from TK. The stay had a rather restrictive experience, especially when it came to using the spa and pool facilities. The rules were quite strict regarding the use of towels and slippers, and there was also a clear separation between men and women, which limited flexibility and comfort compared to other hotels we have visited in Turkey.

bermetm2017 (2/5): Unprofessional behaviour of FO - I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent booking made through your official website for my family stay. My booking confirmation clearly states that the reservation includes BB (bed and breakfast). Before arrival of my family, I called the hotel simply to confirm that payment must be charge to the card what I have attached. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and highly unprofessional. The first agent who answered asked me to call back in 30 minutes, which I did. The second front office agent informed me that their manager would call me back. When the manager called, he seemed to be in a great hurry and instead of assisting properly, he simply provided me with a WhatsApp number to continue the communication. I sent all the booking details via WhatsApp (all communication is attached), but instead of clarification, I was repeatedly sent a payment link stating that breakfast was excluded, which directly contradicted my official booking confirmation showing breakfast included. When I asked for clarification, my messages were ignored. I then called again, and the staff member I spoke with was extremely unprofessional and even laughed when I explained that my confirmation clearly states breakfast is included. His response was simply, “Not in my system.” I requested that they resend a correct payment link reflecting the confirmed breakfast inclusion so I could proceed with payment, but this was never done. The conversation became increasingly unacceptable, and the same staff member eventually stated that he “would not accept the booking,” as if he personally owned the property. At that point, after such poor treatment, I no longer wished to stay at the hotel either. I requested cancellation of the booking; however, this has still not been processed. I find this entire experience extremely disappointing, especially considering this booking was made directly through your official website. I kindly request immediate cancellation confirmation and appropriate action regarding the unprofessional behavior of your staff.

umerf977 (2/5): AWFUL - Serious Hygiene & Safety Concerns – Not Acceptable for a Hilton Property I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul Topkapi for 4 nights and unfortunately experienced multiple serious hygiene and safety issues throughout my stay. Upon arrival, I found a used razor blade left in the room, which is a clear safety hazard and completely unacceptable. The hygiene standards were also very poor. The bathrobe provided had hair on it, and after reporting this and requesting replacements, the new bathrobes also contained hair. This showed a repeated failure in basic housekeeping. Food safety was another major concern. During my stay, raw chicken was served at the hotel, which poses a significant health risk. In addition, I had clearly informed staff that I have a nut allergy, yet I was still presented with complimentary desserts containing nuts. This is extremely concerning and could have resulted in a serious allergic reaction. I raised these issues with reception multiple times. The staff acknowledged and agreed with the concerns and stated that management had been informed. However, despite this, the issues were not properly resolved and in some cases were repeated. Overall, this was not a minor inconvenience but a pattern of serious hygiene and safety failures. For a Hilton-branded hotel, the standards fell far below expectations and significantly impacted my stay. I hope this is taken seriously and that improvements are made to ensure other guests do not experience the same issues.

We asked for another room and were given one, but the windows were sealed with tape to keep the cold out. Despite that, there was a constant whistling noise all night. The air conditioning didn’t work at all, and it was cold the entire time. The hotel’s location is also very poor—there is absolutely nothing nearby. The room that was advertised as having a sea view actually overlooked a cemetery. The breakfast was just average. I travel to Istanbul often, and unfortunately this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The price does not correspond at all to what is offered. I absolutely do not recommend it. Booking should not be offering or recommending hotels like this.”**

The staff met me at the door and answered any question I had. The breakfast was varied and fresh. And the restaurant had a good variety and servers were attentive. My room was next door to a room utilized for a conference. So loud talking and rearranging furniture did not allow the rest I hoped for.
