Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a bit of trouble setting up the Apple TV access, but finally figured it out.
- NonnisWorld (10/5): Loved it - Rented the dormer room (1st floor addition) for a mother-daughter wine country weekend. Loved staying in a residential area - quiet, beautiful property with a pool, above ground spa and many sitting areas. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. The two double beds were very comfortable and had a private entrance. The charming room was decorated with antiques and had a clean attached bathroom. We also appreciated the full supply of bottled water, lots of snacks and quick breakfast items. Definitely would stay again.
- Nicholas (8/5): Great place for relaxing weekend in Napa - Very nice weekend stay. Room was very nice and the owner was available and helpful. The back yard was beautiful and relaxing with a number of gazebos, patios and other seating options. Very relaxing. I would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not as advertised. Small, basic, awkward - Not private as other guests can be right outside the interior door. There is no adequate breakfast. Room very small.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay. Pen was very welcoming. Will definitely recommend to friend and will stay again next time in Napa.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved everything about our stay. The room was lovely and we loved the pool and hot tub! Everything was clean and beautiful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very underwhelming experience - PROs:Location, close to the Napa downtown and 15 min. to Yountville. Bathroom: clean, lots of towels, toiletries, a hair drier, shampoo. Great coffee maker, coffee options and lots of bottles of water. The backyard is huge with lots of seating areas.
CONs:Overall 6.5 rating. The Dorm Room was very tight for 3 people plus a small dog with us that the owner said we could bring. The furniture/baskets are oversized for such a small space. The bathroom is also very small. The closet that contains the small refrigerator and the snacks were located in the bathroom, necessitating a jenga-like maneuvering to access . Complicating matters, the bathroom door opens into the room, and it bangs up against the front door so both can’t be open at the same time. The ceiling fan definitely needs to be cleaned. We didn't use the pool or the hot tub so I can't comment on those. We did want to use to the fire pit, but due to the unresponsive owner, we were unable. I sent 3 texts to the owner over the course of 3 days/2 nights, all went unanswered. One to confirm the number of keys he left us; one letting him know that we would be home in an hour, and asking if we could use the fire pit – didn’t know if he had to light it or if we could, we never got to use it; and one saying we left the coffee mugs and trash outside the room for it to be picked up, per the instructions in room - we got back, mugs and trash were still there. After paying nearly $700 for 2 nights, I was expecting better.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved our stay at The Giraffe Inn! We hope to stay there again and will definitely send them as much business as we can. We stayed in The Dorm, which was small but not cramped, and very thoughtfully put together. The owners and staff are wonderfully friendly and accommodating. The dogs are super cute, though one is pretty stealthy around food, so watch out:) The grounds are gorgeous. It was so quiet and relaxing and nourishing.
- Julia (10/5): Amazing stay!! - Highly highly recommend staying at this gem in Napa!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Sparkling, superior lodgings set on quiet, beautifully landscaped grounds at a surprisingly affordable price for this area. Clean, plush , comfortable suite where they've thought of everything the traveler might need. Gracious, professional, sophisticated hosts. Close to everything. Would stay here again without another thought.
- timb (10/5): - Nice house and beautiful gardens. There was separate private access to the room which was great. Lots of snacks, breakfast supplies and bottle of water, toiletries etc etc which was a nice touch. The yard was awesome with various places to sit and relax, hammocks, the hot tub and a pool. Would recommend to anyone staying a few days in Napa
- Katie (10/5): - We truly enjoyed our stay here! Perfect for my sister and I for a wine weekend. Lovely place with lots of charm and amenities! We'll definitely be back.
- Derek (10/5): Highly recommended place to stay in Napa - Highly recommended! Located in a residential area of Napa with on-site parking. 10 minute drive to downtown. 2 minute drive/20 minute walk to Hendry Winery. The room was stocked with snacks and a bottle of wine. The backyard area was beautiful with plenty of options (hammocks, chairs, fire pit, pool, hot tub, and a grill on the deck). The water pressure in the shower was a bit low. The bed was very comfortable. There is a fantastic hiking park (Westwood Hills) located about 1.5 miles away, which we visited every morning. There are two dogs on the property that bark when somebody enters the property, but they are friendly and stop barking after you pet them. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, yet respectful of your personal space.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I stayed in the dorm room and the privacy was amazing! The back yard is beautiful and Pen was very accommodating! It felt like being home and we loved the dogs!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was clean, quiet and perfect for my work trip. I was close enough to everything without any inconvenience. I will stay at Giraffe Inn again. My only criticism is that the path to my room was tiny rock so it was a bit difficult to walk or roll my luggage but it would not discourage me from staying at this charming inn, again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very homey! Great people. Attentive house keeping staff.
- dana (10/5): The Giraffe Inn.....you gotta try it - Awesome stay, our hosts were quite knowledgeable of the area and provided us with some local insight on wine and where to find great wine at a reasonable price. The Giraffe Inn is very comfortable and you will need nothing to enjoy your stay there..Only regret...we did not have enough time to fully enjoy the Inn...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had the dorm room with two beds (hard to find in Napa). It also had it's own exit. Everything was clean and bed were nice. It's also not your typical bed and breakfast, as they just left stuff in the room for you to eat at your leisure, you didn't actually go to breakfast. That was great for us as we don't usually eat breakfast and wanted to be up and around as we wanted, without a time schedule. Would stay here again for sure.
- Vivian (10/5): Great room! - Beautiful cozy quiet room. Friendly owner. Great outdoor space with a pool, jacuzzi, hammocks, lots of places to sit, and a large veranda. Lots of great choices in the room for a “continental” breakfast including a keurig machine. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Napa.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place was incredibly comfortable & within driving distance to the wedding reception & other wedding festivities. This was my first time in a B&B. And it will certainly not be my last after this experience. Tiny room, but lots of amenities. I had to check in late, & the owners were very understanding. I would totally come back here for a weekend vacation. I loved the personal touches (e.g. flashlights near the door & the labeled hamper for dirty towels).
- Jenny (10/5): - Great location, charming property and comfortable stay! Hosts were wonderful. We were so busy doing group activities that we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful backyard but next time we will!
