• Yücel (8/5): eresos kıyısının en gözde yeri - otel skala eresosta devamlı konakladığımız yer. denize sıfır mükemmel bir yerde. 3 tek kişilik, 3 çift kişilik oda tuttuk bu seyahatte. tek kişilik odalarda banyolar yeni (yenilenmiş) idi. denize bakan, mükemmel konumlu odalarda banyolar biraz eski. duş küçük ve ıslak duş perdesi soğuk soğuk size yapışıp duruyor. mini buzdolabı iyi soğutuyor, karasal yayında televizyonda 10 - 12 kanal var ve zaten adada hep bu yayınlar mevcut. klima ve tavan pervanesi serinlemek için yeterli. temizlik gayet iyi. kesinlikle konaklanır. banyolar yenilenmeli.

• MC (3/5): All in all great location but the room and overall experience was disgraceful! - The location of the hotel was ideal. Other than that I would expect a bit more from a hotel in 2025. The confusing thing was that I had stayed in the exact same hotel about 3 years ago (different room) which was much much better. The room was like traveling back in time in the early 1990 - very Brady Bunch kind of vibes. -one of the towels was dirty -the shower curtain was so close to the shower that it clung you when you were showering -the shower gel provided was in a form of a soap dispenser on the wall filled with what resembled lemon Fairy dish soap -check out was at 11 a.m. but we very rudely got woken up by the cleaning staff who were shouting to one another across the hall, slamming doors and cupboards at 9 a.m. - we were meant to be on holiday.... -To make matters worse, instead of knocking, one of the cleaners tried to open the door to our room to “check if we had checked out.” Good thing I had the key behind the door. What if myself or partner has been naked??? -and to top in all up we paid for breakfast which to be honest I doubt my dog would eat. Stale pastries, stale bread, horrific coffee and something that looked like bacon but who knows....

• Nugent (10/5): Sunset Heaven - We had the most relaxing week at the Sappho Hotel, listening to the sound of the sea and watching the most amazing sunsets. Our room was quiet and spacious with a powerful shower and endless hot water. Everywhere in this hotel is immaculately clean, there is not a spec of sand in sight, even the paintwork is immaculate. The ladies who clean the rooms are a joy, and the reception/cafe/bar staff are very welcoming and helpful with recommendations and endless local knowledge. We have stayed in other places in Eressos but this is our favourite so we will be back. There is nothing that we did not like .

• Nicholas (10/5): Thavmasio!! - Breakfast was superb. Staff are lovely, very professional, attentive to needs but not "all over you", which is great. The lady cleaning the room was lovely. Easy parking nearby in the nearby village communal parking facility or just behind the hotel. Easy, flat walk with cases. Perched above the beach so excellent for those very early morning swims. Air conditioning if needed and fridge. Very social, and no antisocial guests. Pets allowed. Calm and quiet night's sleep. Intimate enough, more friendly than staying in some of the larger upgraded new "resort-type" complexes which are starting to appear as "boutique" hotels. Tourism like it should be and will hopefully remain. 5 stars all round. Nothing. Apart from mistakenly having to use an App. to reserve, allowing profit slicing by some corporate capitalist multinational. But the hotel can be booked directly just by calling.
• Maria (8/5): We will stay there again next year. - The location is excellent right on the waterfront. We slept with the windows open hearing the waves. The staff was generally polite and responsive. The A/C was working, the shower had adequate pressure, the room was cleaned every day, and the towels were changed. The room is on the smaller size, so in my opinion, this is not for people who would like to chill in their room. In general, everything is dated but this is also reflected in the price, so this is not a major complaint. Late at night some teenagers where making noise on the beach, but this is not the fault of the hotel management. Breakfast was average.

• Christina (10/5): - I had a great stay at the hotel, it’s an amazing location right on the seafront, a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants and local amenities. The village is very small and easy to get around with the bus station and taxi office nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful and the front desk is open fairly late. My the room was very spacious and comfortable and was cleaned daily and towels, shampoos were topped up. I felt very safe staying there as a solo traveller and would definitely stay there again, as it was reasonably priced. The breakfast was not included in my booking but there is an option to pay on the day for Greek / Continental breakfast. Efxaristo bola!

• Karyn (8/5): It gave us a great base to spend some time in Skala Eressos. Excellent location, spectacular views. - The room was clean, air con great once we figured out how to use it and the view was spectacular. The balcony was a good size with decent furniture. It was impossible to sit and use the dressing table as it was so close to the bottom of the bed. You had to squeeze between the two to get to the balcony. The shower cubicle was impossibly small and the shower curtain way too long. Combine this with the fact that the shower did not hang properly on the wall, showering and hair washing was difficult and uncomfortable. It would have been helpful to have instructions for the A/C.

• Mcgrath (4/5): Great location but if I were to come back I’d stay somewhere else. - I liked the location. That was all I liked. It was clean, but dingy. The shower was terrible. The bar was disorganized and it took forever to get a drink. There was a kettle but not near an outlet. No view at all. The cleaning lady knocked on the door at 10:30 to clean but check out is 11. No reception, you had to go to the bar which is fine but there isn’t a sign.

• Marianthy (9/5): Very nice stay at a famous and well-appointed hotel - The hotel's location was exactly what we wanted: on the beach, and with the possibility to stay between the hotel's restaurant balcony to the beach without having to move all our beach equipment. We made good use of the cafe/restaurant facilities as well. The room was sizeable enough for three people, and the balcony with a short side overlooking the sea was a nice surprise. Everything was very clean and tidy, with enough pillows, towels and hangers in the wardrobe. The air-condition functioned perfectly and silently without freezing the room, but we also used the ceiling fan in order to keep the balcony doors open as there is a sensor that cleverly switches off the air-condition when it detects an open door. Wi-Fi was vey good and strong too, and realising we had not brought a UK to EU adapter, the reception staff sorted us out by sourcing a left-behind one for our stay. Only one of the twin beds had a firm mattress, the other was soft and caved-in by use. The shower tray was tiny, which made it impractical to use the curtain around it at all - it simply stuck on an adult's body and did not keep any water inside the tray. The faucet and soap holder were placed very high, and the hot water side was scalding to the touch. My child bumped their head and also couldn't avoid touching the hot side because everything was so cramped, and I found it very difficult as well.

• Melih (10/5): Exceptional - Eressos is an amazing place. We stayed in Sappho Hotel, a wonderful place, nearby the sea. The owner and the staff are very friendly. They make you feel at home. The hotel is in the middle of the village. The long beach can be seen, a wonderful view which is also amazing during sunset. Silence, nature and Greek Culture. What more to except from a good holiday. We will come back again. Many thanks to friendly staff of Sappho Hotel for all and great hospitality.
