- Nik (10/5): - The room was tidy, comfortable, and unique with an exceptional view on the river Severn. I wasn't able to try the breakfast as I had to leave earlier than they were serving. I would suggest they shift breakfast forward by an hour:) Breakfast could be served a little earlier.

- Kojo (8/5): Great stay in historic pub full of character - Offers a surprisingly good pub stay. The attic Apple Blossom room was lovely with many period features and the river below right in front, though they have even better 4-poster bed rooms. A very nice touch was how they provided room service (which they don't usually do) for my delicious 3-course supper. The continental breakfast was standard, but a good standard with excellent service.

- Kathryn (9/5): A lovely friendly place for a stopover, with a good sized, comfortable & interesting room. - The location on the riverbank, the size of our room & furniture, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good restaurant. We enjoyed exploring a new area. A bit noisy at times but less so than anticipated.

- Gill (8/5): So Friendly, quaint, great food and location - Fantastic location on the River. We had 2 dinners and 2 full English breakfasts, all the food was really good and tasty. All the staff were exceptional, so friendly, so helpful and accommodating particularly when we wanted to change a booking last minute from 5 to 11 on a Friday evening! Thank you all so much. Also lovely character building. The cleaning could have been better although the bed linens were fine. We moved from the 1st cottage room due to squeaky floorboards above and shower was lukewarm. 2nd Rose room was larger and quieter. The building is old and requires constant maintenance

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The Mug House is in an ideal location for exploring Bewdley. Lovely views of the river from my room. There were a couple of issues with cleanliness but the owner sorted these out promptly so I'm not going to say any more about that!

Cottage at the top had a very low slanted ceiling over one side of the bed. I was worried about hitting my head in the night. Advised the owner an extra light was needed at the TV coffee end of the room. He was happy to add one.

- Ritchie Rich (7/5): Good but let down by poor staff. (but it was the new year period so understand they were busy) - Didn't take up the breakfast option, but load of other options nearby. Good sized room with a lovely view of the river severn. Room very quiet and totally secure with access only via 3 separate doors. Staff were poor, room didn't have any toilet paper so requested some. Staff then "forgot" as they were busy ? Not good enough and lame excuse that they were busy. No parking but very good public car park just round the corner.

- Gill (4/5): Just wanted my money didn’t care about my requirements very let down . - Where it is based Requested on booking lower based room as struggle with mobility with bad legs , completely ignored and was put into the highest room possible , 2 flight of stairs . Which was a massive struggle , was treated like when I said this on checking in not my problem it is what it is .

Very large disabled room on ground floor, massive walk wet room with lovely shower bed massive and comfy if you like a medium mattress.. Staff, John very accommodating and informative on booking in showed us to room and gave us info re breakfast and different use of keys .. We bought breakfast from the hotel, lovely choices and cooked to my preference. Pillows fluffy but soft ..corrected it by putting scatter cushion under and had good sleep. Sad food menu not on after 5.30 on sunday, but was aware before going so not a shock ..

- Kathy (7/5): A lovely stay. We will be back next year. - We have stayed at the Mug House a number of times now. We love the location overlooking the river. The view up the river from cottage 3 is exceptional. Our room was comfortable although the stairs are not for the faint hearted and the bed is very low. The shower is excellent and having a fridge in the room is very useful. We welcomed the fresh milk and bottled water. There was only one breakfast tea bag provided!
- Susan (8/5): Central location good value place to stay in Bewdley, friendly staff and good food. - Large rooms, everything that you need including mini fridge, iron and ironing board, good storage, tea and coffee and hair dryer. Comfortable bed. Very good location on Riverfront with good restaurant and good breakfasts. Easy access to everything in Bewdley. The only downside is the pub now shuts at 8.00pm on Sundays.

- Yvonne (10/5): Great location. - Great location right on the river, lovely staff and great food and drink in the bar. My only problem was we took my elderly father in law with us and did request a lower ground room as stairs are a problem, they said the room had 2 steps up so that wasn't a problem, however when we checked in the room allocated to him was up very very steep stairs and was very difficult for him to get up and down , all that said the rooms were lovely and spacious and a great view of the river. We stayed for 2 nights but unfortunately no one came and made the beds or checked if we needed clean towel. We did enjoy our stay and would recommend the mug house but just check the room and stairs before booking. The stairs up to the rooms were very steep.

The staff are really friendly,but the owner needs to sort out the decor etc of his establishment,and also his attitude and the way he speaks and treats his staff

If we ever stay in Bewdley again we would love to return. The only thing was the TV signal wasn't very good in the room.

Staff were fine but I assume the manager or owner gave a very average reception. We couldn’t find a car park and the staff did not seem able to be able to help. “I’m not local” Badly cracked sink in bathroom. Clearly not a recent problem. Very dirty carpets on stairs to room overall signs of some average housekeeping. Some Staff are fine but others don’t appear to be really engaged or welcoming
