- Daniel (7/5): - La atención del personal es muy buena. Estas cerca a la bahia y varios comercios. La habitación es bastante pequeña, los espacios para poner el equipaje son insuficientes y el diseño esta mal pensado, ya que no esta pensado para estar junto a la playa, se ensucia todo con mucha facilidad y no habia donde tender la ropa o poner productos de aseo en los baños.

Obwohl wir zwei Personen waren, gab es nur ein Duschtuch. Der Kühlschrank ist sehr alt und sollte ersetzt werden. Als Europäer isst man sein Frühstück lieber in einem Cafe.
- Ingmar (8/5): Een goed verblijf met een goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. - Het ontbijt is vrij eenvoudig met weinig tot geen keuze, wel van goede kwaliteit. Locatie van het hotel is goed. Dichtbij het centro historico en strand. De hotelkamer met eigen douche en toilet is klein maar wel schoon met een goede airco en goede matrassen. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam als je erom vraagt. Het was jammer dat je buiten de ontbijttijden geen koffie of thee kunt krijgen. Wilson, hôte très sympathique, s’assure de notre bien être. La localisation de l’hôtel est centrale, proche des principaux attraits. La chambre est très confortable et propre. De plus, petit-déjeuner est servi avec du bon café!

- Roman (9/5): Superb - 1, The location is great: close to all historic attractions of Santa Marta, countless cafes and restaurants in the daowntown and to the bus stations: to that one where we have directly arrived after our flight from Bogota and to the second one where we have catched a bus going to Taganga to explore its broadly advertised beach. From hotel it takes about 15 minutes by foot to get to Santa Marta city beach. 2. The street hotel is situated on is calm and quite during the late evening and night time in comparison with a cacophony in the downtown. 2. My and my friend's rooms were tidy and cleaned everyday. 3. The bed and pillows were comfortable. 4. The hotel owners and staff all were polite and friendly. 5. Wi-Fi signal was stable. 1. We do not know why but since we had arrived to hotel and occupied our rooms we were not able to find any hanger. Certainly, there is no necessity for much clothing in Santa Marta as everyday there the day temperature is over 30 degrees Celsius but 3-5 hangers in the room are requirable. After our complaint the owner himself gave us enough hangers. 2. For breakfast we wish it would be more variable for a choice of fruits and more bigger in size.

- Franco (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Santa Marta - Everything is more than perfect. It's nice, clean, cosy, well equipped, good location and all this at a very fair price. You can book a tasty breakfast with eggs, fruits , coffee, juice etc. for a price, which at other places you pay for a cup of coffee..... But the best and the most important are the people there. I had a medical problem and they were really helpful at all times. They provided me with blankets and cushion and were really touched.

They were patient with our awful Spanish and were happy to give us detailed recommendations on where to go, how to get there, etc. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. It is conveniently located in walking distance of the coast, coffee shops and restaurants. There was no hot water, but it was hot outside so it was no problem.

We are very satisfied and in situation that we go back again to Santa Marta, we will rebook. They cleaned room every day and brought new towels. Breakfast isn't included, but we reccomend ( eggs and arepa, fruits, cofee/tee, juice).

- Jason (6/5): Ok hotel, but very noisy from the street. - Friendly receptionist. Free water refill. Comfy bed and air conditioning. Very noisy street with music blasting all day. This was a Sunday so i imagine it's worse on Friday and Saturday. Music did stop about 9pm but suddenly at 1am it started blasting even louder, ridiculously loud from right outside the window and this went on for 45 minutes. It felt like i was sleeping in a nightclub! Air conditioning was good but the power went off twice in the morning for an hour each time and during that time the room got so hot i couldn't breathe.

- Gyorgy (7/5): Everything was okay - The staff is very friendly and nice, they helped me out whatever I asked for, the location is pretty central, good price. my room had a corridor "window" which is common in places where it is always hot, still not the most pleasant experience. Also it was very windy during the evenings in December and that made loud noises+ the center of Santa Marta is super noisy in general, so it's hard to find a quiet place.

Friendly and helpful. I became very ill during my stay, (nothing to do with the hotel). They assisted me, and took a genuine interest in my wellbeing. The shower is more or less cold.

- John (10/5): Excellent budget hotel with everything you need - Ideal comfortable hotel and very good value. Special mention for the staff who were wonderful. Helpful, patient with my lack of Spanish and always had a smile for me :) I used this place as a base to recharge after exploring the region and trekking and they stored my luggage which was great. I also want to disagree with some reviews that say it is in an unsafe area - it is not. The streets there are quiet at night but so is the whole city away from the bar/restaurant area, maybe 5 mins walk away. I had no problems and it never felt unsafe to me. Good wifi, clean rooms, nice breakfast, this place was ideal and I’ll stay there again if I return to Santa Marta. Nothing

Street outside was a bit untidy but 99% of Santa Marta is the same unfortunately. Staff were lovely. Polite friendly and very helpful. Allowed us early check in which was nice. Great Aircon. Minor points: No hand towel. Soap dispenser didn’t work but they gave us 3 bars of soap very quickly. Needed 2 pillows. Only had one. No safe.

A very good exito supermarket in about 7 minute walk, the atrractions like cathedral, marina, museo d'oro in a short walk. Place where you could get a good rest after a day of intensive touring. Breakfast not included, but cheap, worth taking.

One night of our stay we decided to book a cabin in Tayrona beach and since the staff did not see us coming that night they got worried and they told us the next day that they were about to call us to check on us and make sure we were good. That was a nice gesture of them. The pillow are not very soft,. The bathroom is kind of small and maybe they can add a shelve in the bathroom so you can place your things there (toothpaste, body lotion, hair cream, etc)

The breakfast for 10,000 pesos was cooked to order and delicious. It was a 5 minute walk to the tourist scene with restaurants, etc. I've stayed in other parts of this area of Santa Marta for $20 a night and this hotel is waaaay nicer. I'll be back!
