Guest Reviews
- Jo (5/5): Adequate - The room was very basic but that’s what I expected for the money we paid. The location was perfect The tv kept glitching. Super annoying
- Josie (4/5): Disappointing, but not terrible - The location and price was excellent, the bed was comfy I asked the cleaner to tidy the room while we went out, they left the door unlocked. Luckily nothing was stolen but i was shocked!
I asked the receptionist to replenish the milk and coffee in our room, and they said they would bring it up then just forgot.
The blanket had cigarette burns on it
The shower didnt run hot much, and you really had to fight with the lock to unlock the front door.
If you want somewhere cheap for a night it is okay, but for any more than that i would go somewhere else.

- Michael (6/5): - Nice people 👍 Nice place write next to seafront amazing places to buy food and pubs will come again.
E o chuveiro nao estava bom, pouca agua
- Alistair (9/5): Great budget hotel in an excellent location, will use again - Location and cost are excellent A little dated and creaky but can easily look past that for the cost.
- Scott (1/5): -

- Geoff (7/5): - The use of the Klub (bar name) next door was good and the location was spot on. The other guests were so noisy, banging doors etc. There were no signs saying no noise after certain hours.
- Vincent (10/5): - The receptionist was very friendly and helpful ! The room was simple , but really excellent value for the money ! I’ll stay at this hotel in the future if I visit Clacton-on-Sea again! ☺️

- Maria (6/5): Was ok. Great location, clean and friendly staff. - The price was so good. Staff was friendly and we slept comfortably. Also nice there was a bar so we could go for a drink. Room was cold, heaters wasn't working. Did ask for a plug in heater but that didn't work either. So glad we brought our heated blanket.
Tap in bathroom was scorching hot and the tap and shower was very light. No hair dryer so advise is to bring your own.
- Daniel (8/5): Great location and great staff - Staff were lovely and very helpful
- Fran Fisk (9/5): Langtry Hotel = thumbs up - This is a great little hotel right by Clacton Pier which makes it a superb location.
The room was tidy and clean. Bed was very comfy.
Staff were extremely friendly and polite.
Toiletries were provided.
Tea and coffee in the room and replenished each day.
The room is cleaned daily.
I stayed over the Easter holiday so everywhere was busy however, I still managed to park.
Weatherspoons is right around the corner if you fancy a cheap breakfast. Not that it was a problem for me but the lift was out of order.
Parking could be an issue but the staff were friendly and told me where I can. Street parking is free from 6pm until 9am the next day with a 2 hour parking time.

- Malcolm (1/5): Error of judgement - nothing Surely staff, no parking, bad smells as soon as you walked in. Could not stay there.

- Parrott (5/5): Great location, and great possibilities, but unfortunately I was only there for one night. - There were refurbishment works going on so the whole of the ground floor was unavailable, which included the lounge area and the bar. The carpet was a bit grotty.

- Hayden (8/5): I enjoyed my stay and the receptionist, I should have gotten his name, but was very nice and helpful - The staff were great, the bloke on reception was helpful on check in and also was able to provide a fan for me in the romo as it was warm. Overall it is a very basic place and as a bigger guy, the bathroom was very small but everything worked and could just do with a permanent fan or air conditioning for the summer.

Milk if you wanted to have cereal as your bar and lounge is being refurbished

Rubbish in bathroom not cleared before my stay.
Dirty linen.
No linen for duvet
Chewing gum on floor
- Ryan (8/5): Overall very happy! - the location was great, easy to find too! The bedroom size was great for one person. There was plenty of free coffee and tea (I love both so made use of them) clean towels waiting in the room and the service was straight forward and very polite. Bathroom was very small with mould covering the ceiling above the shower and every time the toilet was flushed or the tap was used, there was a smell of old dirty water (only way to describe it).

- Andrew (9/5): -

- Masood (8/5): Cheap and cheerful. Very close to beach. Don’t expect The Ritz. - It’s an old Victorian Style building very very close to the Seafront. Cheap and cheerful. It’s very old and dilapidated. A bit of investment should really improve this place but considering what I paid I’m not complaining.

- Daniel (10/5): -
- Andrea (9/5): Great hotel - totally exceeded expectations. - The room was lovely and clean - coffee and tea were restocked, staff were very friendly. The radiator was on when we arrived and the room was uncomfortably hot. Took a while to figure out how to turn it off!!

- CharlotteC (4/5): If you don't notice this ref.. we coming to get our £££££ - Simon did offer to help.. with stuff that we needed in the room for the room and did try and help with other things to do with the room, the hotels bright and breezy, big lovely and open, it's closed to town and changed our room for our needs for comfort and quietness, if there were problems, theve now been sorted The langtrys been a problem for about 5years due to the Portuguese manager playing up.. the rudeness, attitude and now know we're clearly not welcome for some reason.. do not go to speak to them in the back, make sure you keep to the front from their intimidating behaviour,a hotels a hotels if we say were staying there, were staying there. the hotels run by someone else who can't be bothered to do their job nor take problem like the manager, thinks he owns the place.
The min you sit on the bed you go through them, every beds well worn which is horrible, carpets are never vacumed apart from the hallways, if the new managers taken it over you expect a refurb
You've got that 🧡 d head Simon whos been on the desk a min, the looks you get from them when you arrive very intimidating and were young girls, if their unwell don't work there.. he listenins in to people's rooms, hammering on people's doors and running away, they have the audacity to try and charge us double, when it's not even their business, pen pusher..
talking about people's bussiness to the local prossy women that Sam scr*n, in the other road whos been beaten the s out a couple of times because of heard moaning her head off sleeping with a child, her attitude and heard being screwed by 3 of her locals, it sounded like a really aggressive fight but when we went to check on what the hell was going on, 3 males come out laughing and joking, think it was a rape, luckily one of ours were involved with sorting her out finally. she's been a problem for yrs, upsetting all the kids in the town.. were going to have a good time taking the p*ss out of the 🐷 when we see her, according to the child she
- Richard (8/5): Don't overlook the Langtry Hotel . - The location is very good.
The man at reception is very professional and was very helpful and suggested places for me to eat .
The room is adequate and clean .
Car parking was available. The only things that could be better are the planters at the front . It's only because I like gardening and I noticed that the planters could benefit from some shrubs and flowers .
That alone would help with the 'kerb appeal' .
