Perfect location for surrounding area, walking and public transport. Tracey and Pete were the perfect hosts. This B & B has beautiful kerb appeal, the small front garden was really beautiful and a lovely place to sit. Couldn't fault anything.

The rooms we had were spotless and the beds so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we were even given homemade cake which we thoroughly enjoyed. Customer care at its best. Tracy cooked a delicious breakfast and makes her own granola which is good 😊 We found them very helpful & informative wish made our stay enjoyable Would recommend to friends. Nothing.

• Deborah (10/5): Very enjoyable break with comfortable and very clean accommodation - The property was spotlessly clean and everything was high-quality. The bed was very, very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good and well presented. The hosts Pete and Tracey were extremely welcoming and friendly and were there to offer help if needed. We stayed at this guest house during the hottest weekend of the year and we provided with fans to help cool us down. Nothing to dislike about this property however I would advise people with mobility issues to ensure accessibility is appropriate for them as there are many stairs.

• Wei (10/5): - Wonderful stay with my family in Sandway, very stylish and well designed family-run business by Tracey and Peter. We stayed on the upper floor with two separate bedrooms, both well furnished, and a private bathroom. It is walking distance from hotel to dining places along the seasides, 5 mins walking to a just upgraded tennis courts with sea view. The nearby adventure golf is also a good choice for family to spend one hour. AND! The breakfast prepared by Tracey and Peter were so delicious. We will definitely come back for another cozy stay!

• Rose (10/5): Great friendly b&b - The room was very cosy and comfortable and the TV was amazing! Don't usually get that much choice so was happy to catch up and crochet whilst he rested. Also the cookie that was delivered was a lovely touch. Not forgetting a little pub over the road where we played bingo and a quiz. My husband found the location difficult because Torquay is quite hilly and he has health issues, but with stops to rest and get his breath it was fine and there were buses and taxis to get back to the b&b so it wasn't really a big issue.

• Linda (10/5): Stunning! - Stunning. Very recently beautifully decorated throughout- like a boutique hotel. The place was also absolutely spotless. In a wonderful position - close to the main beach and town centre, so easy to walk to both (although Torquay is a very hilly place and this is at the top of a hill). The road train stops in a road opposite the hotel and is very cheap, so that's an option if you don't fancy the walk (although this does not run in the evenings). The room had everything we needed, including tea and coffee, toiletries, hair dryer and plenty of coat hangers. The room was well laid out with the dressing table by the window, so great light. Mirror in the bathroom also had a good overhead light. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linen was great quality too. The breakfast menu also sounded delicious and you order this the night before and choose what time you would like it, but the hotel is so close to lovely cafés where you can sit outside with a sea view, that for our short stay we didn't get to try it. It is situated in the prettiest part of Torquay, as Belgrade Road was created by Victorian architects to mimic London's Belgravia and at the bottom of the road are the lovely landscaped gardens of Torre Abbey, with stunning sea views. Also, a great crazy golf course with sea views! In front of the hotel, in a very pretty garden, is a lovely sunny bench with cushions, where you can sit and read or relax Our hosts were a lovely, friendly couple, who were extremely helpful. We definitely hope to return! If I had to find one drawback, I would say that it was a shame that the breakfast room was in the basement. Although it was a lovely feature that they offered this room for you to use if you wanted to get a takeaway and bring it back.

The hotel itself was very classy and well designed. Very well thought out and beautiful deco. The room was very nice we had the double, the bed was so comfy! And the bathroom was nice. The whole.room was so clean!!!! Only.issue was being on the front of the property was loud when windows open, and next door room 6, their fire door to the room kept slamming and at 11pm or 8am its a bit much. When we stay again - which we will! I would ask for a room on the back of the house.

The breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. Peter and Tracey were very welcoming and friendly. They shared lots of different ideas of places to go and the local transport. • Richard (10/5): Comfortable, pampered, enjoyable, catered for and lots of memorable experiences with a touch of culture thrown in. - Great location close enough to all that Torquay offers. Abbey sands are close if you want a beach hol, or with a walk or bus ride if you don’t fancy driving or want a drink, are several points of interest. The property has been refurbished to an excellent standard and is lovely and clean. the rooms have an individual flourish in the choice of decor. Breakfast was delicious and as expected. We were made to feel welcome from the start and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay memorable. I cannot say there was anything I could pick out everything was great.

No eating in room, but nice picnic table in small front garden if desired. Liked their jam, bought some! Nice stay and appreciated the advice on things to see.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - As advertised, it was a very small double, but ok for a single person who likes a double bed like i do. A bit awkward to keep moving the clothes rail if you wanted to get to open/close the windows tho. In-room facilities were good, tea/coiffee, tv, nice bathroom, again small but with everything you needed, including complimentary toiletries. The only thing that really let it down for me was that there was only a dividing wall between my wall and the room next door, so you could hear everything - a yawn, conversation, snoring, etc. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was very nice, with plenty of choice.

Ed and Sharon are superb hosts who made us feel very welcome, they have extensive knowledge of the area and are only to happy to give advice. We had a premium room which was very comfortable and clean with asmashing ensuite bathroom. Wi-fi was available in the room and free parking just round the back ( 4 spaces). There's a good Marston's pub directly opposite if you fancy a drink before bed. Don't hesitate to book this b & b, we plan to return next year. Thank you Ed & Sharon for such a pleasant stay.
• patricia (10/5): Sandway House happy days - great 2 nights at the Sandway House arrived early was able to park my car up we had a large big bedroom with a super king size bed fantastic 2 nights sleep, Ed and Sharon are very energetic and helpful hosts, and cook excellent breakfasts! It was a bonus, in Torquay, to have parking just behind the guest house thank you we will be back soon
