Loved the spa bath and the location but the flies and wasps spoilt it for us. - Walking distance to township and cafes etc Due to being next door to a dairy farm there were lots and lots of flies. Also due to time of year lots of wasps so unable to use the lovely sunny deck that gets all the late afternoon sun.

Rachel (9/5): Spotless! - Beautifully appointed comfortable and clean room, very convenient for supermarket, fuel stations and local attractions. Keep windows closed at night, there is air conditioning, as the motel is off a main road so can be noisy.

Good kitchen facilities so we could cook meals, and great laundry facilities that we needed at this stage of our trip. An easy walk to the supermarket and to the food trucks and bars / restaurants in town. It is central but also quiet at night. Nothing, it was great!

Being called a couple of nights before our stay to be asked if we still wanted the room (as someone else wanted it)... especially as we'd already paid for it by then! Not a biggie but took some of the shine off an otherwise perfect room... thanks for the chance to provide this feedback. And thanks for the lovely room, will definitely stay again.

George (10/5): I feel home when staying in the Mohua Motel. - We got upgraded to the 2-bedroom unit. It was a good fit for our family of 4. The room and toilet were clean and tidy. A spacious car park, just in front of the unit. The sofa couch is comfy and relaxing. The 'balcony' is a relaxing area for me as well. I can oversee a farm and a natural view just in front of me. It is a strategic location. A walking distance to the town centre. Fresh Choice is just a 3-minute walk from the motel. There are many cafes in Takaka town. Bay Takeaway is a must-try fish & chips shop. The gravel road is part of the way from Nelson to Takaka that I didn't like.

Easy to manoeuvre around, great access to kitchen area, excellent accessible bathroom with wet floor, fold down seat, bars in shower and around the toilet area.
