Sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstück gut, reichhaltig und nettes Ambiente. Koch sehr bemüht. Rzeptionspersonal äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Pool klein, aber wir waren die einzigen Gäste (lucky). Zimmer stylisch, gute Matraze, netter Möglichkeit mit Nespresso und Wasser. Parkmöglichkeiten um die Ecke vom Hotel gestellt und mit Nav über QR Code super zu erreichen. Schöner Rundgang durch die Stadt möglich. Die Stadt Metida ist an sich keine Perle wie IZAMAL oder Valladolid an Sehenswürdigkeiten (Kathedrale fad, der Rest eig. nichts). Kulinarisch aber Highlights. Huniik und allei in der Calle 57 sich ein Restaurant Abends zu suchen. Super wie das 130C. Poolauflagen schon arg in Mitleidenschaft gezogen und Handtücher sollten für diesen Bereich ausgelegt werden.

The location is perfect, close to everything in Merida Centro but also on a quiet street. The service was amazing! The only thing that could be improved in my opinion is the bedding. The mattress itself is fine but the spread and pillows could have been more comfortable.

No entiendo porque no lo cierran bien en vez de poner puertas de vidrio. Además, andábamos con un niño y cada vez que se tiraba la cadena del WC se despertaba de inmediato.

Se esmera mucho, demasiado.. en adornar los platillos pero no en la calidad, el huevo frito llega todo frio despues de tanto adorno que le ponen al plato.

- GIUSEPPINA (1/5): Fake five stars - David, the receptionist, was very kind Despite I reserved a room with a not refundable rate, I chose not to slip there after I saw the room. The room was dark and claustrophobic, without a window (just a non-opening skylight on some plants). The furniture smelled old. The bathroom was small and poorly maintained, the sink was so small that when you turned on the faucet the water would pour out of the sink. The air conditioning could not be set to warm, and since I had the flu, I couldn't stay in a cold room. Poor management of the situation by the manager, who offered me a replacement twin room, with all the defects of the previous one. The hotel is very far from being considered a five star hotel.

It felt like every time I asked a (simple) question (where is breakfast?) I was met with a "deer in headlights" reaction, so much so that I decided not to ask about day trips or restaurant recommendations. My expectations for a 4-star or higher hotel might be high, but if you're going to show me to my room, offer to take my luggage. Yes, I want my room cleaned, it's part of what I'm paying for. If I'm standing at the front door trying to figure out which way to walk on a Google map, ask me where I'm trying to go and guide me in the right direction instead of just staring at me. It's the details that take a hotel from good to excellent, and that's what's missing. The foundation is there, the extras aren't.

- sweetescape2016 (10/5): The best hidden treasure in Merida - The noise of the road disappears as you enter the old wooden doors of the Ya’ax boutique hotel. I got in after 7:30 l, a solo female traveller, and was greeted with a smile, water and all the hospitality in the world. The entrance is small, which gives you a great indication of the intimacy of this place. To your immediate left is a quaint and lovely bar and to your right, the kitchen and eating area. They open the glass sliding doors and you forget all the noise that was the street. From the trees to the plants, the outdoor/indoor living room and dining room to the outdoor eating area - you enter serene. And as I was walked to my room, I realized that the front was just the tip of the iceberg. My room was situated all the way to the back and it was perfect. Right outside was the pool and a variety of different seating areas. Inside I was greeted with cold water, a cool room that is pristine clean and a bed that rivals high end hotels. The offerings in the bathroom are so luxurious - the shower gel; the shampoo and conditioner and lotion - all organic and all from the area. I wish I could have brought them home. And the breakfast each morning, pictures are worth more than a thousand words. Artwork, healthy and most of all fresh and delicious. This is my new home away from home.
- Denine (10/5): - I stayed the last full week of March. This hotel is discreet, peaceful and beautiful. From the moment you check in, greeted with smiles and warmth. From the moment the glass door is opened to guide you to the courtyard you realize you are entering serenity and calm. The room was well spaced, I stayed in the king suite which was big enough for one person very comfortably. The grounds are clean and, well kept and serene. The pool area is not big but it is sophisticated. The location is in a power area but so close to Calle 60 and the Paseo without having to deal with any lingering noise. The food, I had breakfast daily, is balanced and beautifully presented. Everything about this place is wonderful but not for those that aren’t looking for peace. If you are looking for loud crowds and rowdy evenings, this is not the place. At least not during the time I was there. I will be going back, it felt like home away from home.
- ABDUR (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay at Ya’ax Hotel. If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, this is the perfect spot. The front desk and service staff were amazing—always helpful and welcoming. I especially loved the pool, which was perfect for cooling off on a hot day. The food at the hotel was excellent as well. Plus, the location is great—close to downtown but still feels secluded. Overall, a wonderful experience with warm and friendly staff.

- Matthias (6/5): Not worth the high price! - Outdoor space, staff employees friendly Mold on food (e.g. repetedly berries at breakfast), a/c unit not serviced in a long time (smell of mold once turned on), safe in room broken, dirty/stained towels, low water pressure (especially troublesome for long hair), generally good idea regarding design but clearly getting up in years, ubication (close to the city center but not in the city center as expected!) - all that for a quite high price comparinh to MX standards!

My husband and I felt so welcomed, and the staff went above and beyond to make our week-long stay perfect. Our room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the service was exceptional. The complimentary breakfast, served with fresh fruit, was a delightful way to start each day. Plus, the hotel's central location made exploring so easy. We highly recommend Hotel Ya'ax for an unforgettable stay!

- Greg (10/5): Great service and good location. - Service is fabulous. We got stomach issue after a tour. The manager had the chef tailored food for us for three meals in two days to make sure we are ok. When learned that we had an early flight, they packed coffee and bread for us on the road. Great experiences! There is no gym given it’s a boutique hotel. We wouldn’t need it anyway as we toured outside the whole day.

Beautifully appointed with thoughtful, minimal design that echoes the colors, textures and artisanal nature of the Yucatan. Excellent location for walks in any direction, delicious breakfast, and a comfortable, quiet, cool room. Alicia, the manager, was exceptionally generous - answering all of our questions and assisting us in creating unforgettable day trips. The entire staff was professional and kind. I highly recommend this lovely, intimate hotel.

- Romanruin56 (10/5): Peaceful Oasis - Just a beautiful peaceful oasis with amazing staff and a great breakfast. Close to everything, safe and clean. Some ambient noise from adjacent rooms but no more than would be expected. Highly recommend for couples or singles, not great for families.

It was very clean, the breakfast options were great and the location was very central and the hotel has parking spots within a public parking just a minute away from the property. We absolutely loved our stay. Nothing.
