Guest Reviews
- Nicole (8/5): - Overall decent stay but rooms too bright in the morning, poor noise insulation and uncomfortable sofabed made for less than restful sleep.
- Sunshine (10/5): - Easy to access, clean, good amenities, comfortable, spacious, and super central location. Great stay!
- Briana (8/5): - Room was spacious with a minimalist look. Essentials were provided. I did not use any of the amenities so I can not comment on those. Only real issue I had was the dryer not working, I discovered that after washing clothes. I simply hung them up in the bathroom. Kitchen lights and living room ceiling fan didn't work, not big issue. A coffee machine is provided but doesn't brew pods, so heads up on that. On the plus restaurant, bar, and coffee shops a few feet away.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Lovely facilities. All clean and easily accessible.
- Andrew (10/5): - Wonder stay at Kasa Austin
- Ada Elisa (8/5): - Great Location š¤
- Akeem (8/5): - Iāve stayed at other Kasa properties before so I was expecting the feeling of isolation that comes with having no human interaction, but this property felt very large with a lot of rooms that werenāt Kasa room sprinkled about. The building is modern and yet needs some TLC. The room was very barebones and could use some love as well, but it was very large and the full kitchen was nice. The towels were scratchy, the toiletries were not all full (and we didnāt have body wash/soap). But, the Kasa team was quick to respond to requests. I came for a conference and Kasaās price could not be beat - definitely worth it if you donāt mind not having housekeeping!
- Hoi Kit (10/5): - great location, place was absolutely clean. I would definitely get this place again next time.
- Tremayne (2/5): - I had very bad experience we paid for a late check out and as we were out for breakfast came back to find that house keeping came in room and removed some of our belongings connected the property and have not heard anything from them.
- Carla (10/5): Great stay, great location - The apartment we stayed in was great! It was a large 1-bedroom apartment with a very comfy bed. It was also extremely quiet, which was a bit surprising considering it is located right downtown. The location is excellent since the building is right in the middle of the 2nd Street Market District and is surrounded by so many restaurants.
- Hsin-Lei (10/5): - Great communication
- Levi (10/5): - Love this place
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location⦠very spacious 2 bedroom apartment! Was perfect for our visit. We really enjoyed the deck overlooking the river.
Everything walkable from this location!
- Zachary (2/5): - The kiosk never worked and after an hour at the property talking with support and not being able to get in, I had to cancel and book another hotel. Would not recommend this place
- Katy (10/5): - We loved the location right above Joās on 2nd St.! The apartment was very spacious and had a great view from the balcony. The property is right in the mix for downtown Austin, within easy walking distance for just about any activity. We had one problem, which is the TV in the living area wouldnāt connect to wifi, which meant you couldnāt watch anything. The bedroom TV worked great, and we werenāt there to watch tv anyway. Each step for checking in, moving around on and off the property, and checking out had clear written instructions and labels. The concierge via texting was very helpful in trying to fix the tv connectivity issue. If you really want to deal with humans in-person, this may not be a good fit. It was perfect for us! The area isnāt too noisy with traffic or people, although we visited midweek. We felt the pricing was very reasonable!
- Maria (10/5): - Great location, clean apartment, and very well-stocked with supplies. Overall, very comfortable. Iāll definitely be booking again for my next visit to Austin.
- Greg (2/5): - The whole access to the building is very confusing, you donāt know where are you supposed to put what number into what electronic device, of course you canāt get upstairs from the parking garage to see how that works and Iām not the only one who has the same problem. The access issues were such a turn off that it would make me not recommend.
- Shawna (10/5): - I loved how everything was within walking distance. Our concert was right across the street. The views from our balcony was stunning as well. Parking was great and so so much cheaper than anywhere else. I just parked my car in the parking garage and left it until we checked out. The apartment was so big and everything was just beautiful. We will be staying here every single time we go to Austin. Thank you Kasa Downtown.
- Amanda (8/5): - The condo was perfect for what we needed. The location was great, walking distance to ACL, bars, restaurants, perfect little grocery/convience store downstairs.
Parking was great! Felt safe.
Wish they condo had more amedities in the kichen. We had to purchase anything we needed for storage (like baggies, aluminum foil, kleenex etc.). They did have a few pots and pans so that was nice. Overall it was a good place to stay and we will return.
- Jeffery (10/5): - Big place and great location. Noise sensors in the room were a surprise. We weren't that loud, but we got a text saying to keep it down.
- Robbin (10/5): Perfect location - This place was a bit difficult to get into pertaining to security, lots of codes, but I wouldn't change a thing. Once you get through the initial check-in protocol, you feel safe because you've been through the steps to get in and it's very difficult unless you have codes. The instructions were extremely detailed with pictures which made it so much easier, pretty much every question answered in the instructions. It was a great location with a nice view of Austin. We had a coffee/small grocery store shop downstairs with multiple restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. We had a quaint little balcony to go out and have coffee on in the morning. Place was very clean. There was a very nice restaurant across the street called I believe Lucky's with impeccable food and dining experience. The pool was nice and not crowded. I felt very safe. I would recommend this place 100%!
- Shen (10/5): - Really spacious apartment with comparable prices with hotels in downtown. Easy parking with EV chargers on site. Iād stay there again!
- Tremayne (10/5): - Great property great location
- Jessica Pearl (10/5): Happy guest - Kasa never disappoints. Weāve stayed here a couple of times and will keep staying there whenever weāre in Austin. The location is prime. Almost everything is within walking distance or not too far of a drive. We love the convenience the room offers. Itās literally a home away from home. The ease of check in and check out is also very much appreciated. We will definitely come back.
- Michael (8/5): Mold - Mold around bathtub and in.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Kasa in downtown Austin - My first time staying at Kasa, it was a good experience. Essentially you get an apartment to yourself with lots of space including kitchen and living room. I love the additional kitchenware available. I did not use most of the amenities. I ate out or ordered food.
- Victoria (10/5): - great unit and location!
- Jenifer (10/5): - Property was lovely and a great location. I was hesitant because of bad reviews citing poor checkin instructions (which were very clear) and poor response when there was issue (no issues so can't say).
- Barbara (10/5): Great location! - Our stay at Kasa Downtown Austin was fantastic! The flat itself was perfect for our needs and it is perfectly located to discover all that Austin has to offer. We were very comfortable during our stay.
- Barbara (10/5): - Weāll be back!
- Timothy (10/5): - This apartment was really spacious and fully equipped. The bed was very comfortable and everything I needed was within easy walking distance.
- Marbie (10/5): - Great location, easy access, comfortable space!
A great alternative to a traditional hotel!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome everything - Kasa downtown Austin was like a home away from home. It offered comfort, location, and all the basic necessities we needed for every trip. The electronic access but quick and timely responsiveness of services are awesome and definitely noteworthy. I will definitely stay here again in a couple of weeks and whenever we visit Austin.
- Michael (2/5): A virtual fiasco - First - there are multiple locations of Kasa with in 2 blocks. One is called down town and the other is second or third st.
Make sure you get the correct location as your virtual codes wonāt work and there is no local help.
We went to the wrong location and then found our booked location. It was cold and the winds were blowing down the corridors of the hotel as there were 3 or so doors open to the outside. Not very secure!
The second night at 3am someone pulled a fire alarm and it rang for 10 minutes. No one was in the halls nor even in the building - like a ghost town. No one called us to let us know anything, no intercom or anything .
We then asked to be moved to the other 3rd street location. The customer service rep said she could not do anything because we booked thru Expedia. She asked us to call Expedia to get moved. After 20 minutes of telling her she ājust does not want to help usā she spoke to a supervisor and we got the room in the other building.
After telling us do not call them for room codes in the new location until we were ready and checked out of the current room- they took almost 2 hours to get us the codes to the room. - they knew we were there for a wedding at 2pm- they got us in room at 1. Their customer service was rude and bs- relying on prewritten texts to notify us.
Virtual check in and virtual everything just sucks . I do not recommend especially for people over 50. Aside from the poor customer service, the bed is low- like a futon,
- Marilyn (2/5): - Upon arrival, we discovered that the monitor used to enter the temporary elevator code was not working, leaving us waiting outside until a resident could assist us.
Once inside the unit, we found no toilet paper available anywhere. I immediately texted the 24-hour help number but received no response. After calling, I was placed on hold for 10 minutes and when someone finally answered, was told they would inform the onsite representatives. An hour and a half later, with no update, I called again and was told that no one was on site but toilet paper would be delivered within 24 hours. I asked how we should manage in the meantime, and was told to buy our own and be reimbursed. When I asked about additional compensation or a late check-out due to the inconvenience, I was told only that we could have a late check-out for an additional fee.
During our stay, we were repeatedly woken up between 5 and 8am by the building's malfunctioning fire alarm that went off for 15 minutes straight.
Additional issues included low water pressure in the bathroom sink that was practically a trickle, no blankets or pillows for the pullout sofa bed, dirty glasses in the kitchen, and a repeated loud buzzer noise coming from a water shutoff in a closet.
Despite reaching out multiple times, the response to our concerns was unsatisfactory, and the overall experience fell far short of expectations.
- Ryan (8/5): - Great location
- Joe (10/5): Great large apartment in awesome neighborhood - Great apartment, very large, very clean. Itās one of those places where you wish you could stay longer if youāre only there for a few days because itās so accommodating. Also, itās in a great part of the city. Walkable to pretty much anything downtown.
- Mitchel (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay; it had immense value compared to hotels.
- Julia (8/5): - It was great in regards to size! My family was able to come to our room to visit and have dinner since we had plenty of room. The television in family area may be tricky to figure out for some, but our college kids helped us . We like to relax and watch shows, news etc in the evening. It would have been helpful to have a SMART TV IN BOTH BEDROOMS. We only had one bedroom tv and all that was available to watch were a few black and white tv programs. We were not even able to watch the local news channel. in the evening itās nice to wind down with a good show or movie. Maybe leave detailed instructions for tv so we could at least watch Netflix etc in the evening In our bedroom, or the local news . Also, this is not a hotel. If you like to call room service or like to call the front desk for quick questions, donāt stay here. They have an app where you can send messages but the responses were not always fast. If you are here for the night life , this place is great . Lots of places within walking distance. We also liked that there were great shopping places in walking distance too. The diner/cafe below was also amazing as the other restaurants on this block. Beds were meh. Couch seemed dirty thankfully we had new dog blankets so we used those to place on couch. We didnāt think that noise level was unbearable. The wrap around balcony is very nice. Pet friendly a +
- Kevin J (10/5): - Well appointed, clean Hotel accommodations that were
less expensive than the larger hotel chains
- Jon (4/5): - Requested 2 rooms for 2 adults, only had 1 bed and 1 sofa with only 1 set of bedding. When i requested the additional set i received it the next day outside the front door wrapped up which meant i needed to make it myself. That was the main reason for the low rating as comfort for that price is critical.
Apart from that the street noise was quite loud to which made it hard to sleep.
- Aldo (10/5): - Right across the street from ACL Moody Theatre.
Great location, convenient parking, great spacing, comfortable.
- Michelle (10/5): Location, Comfort, Clean, Roomy - City break after a wedding weekend. British husbandās first time in Texas. Anticipate city sounds at night which didnāt bother us. Lots of room, very comfortable, easy access in and out of building and parking. Excellent communication with the leasing office. We would definitely stay there again.
- Enrique (10/5): - The security and access points to enter the property.
- Samantha (10/5): - This property is in a great walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. there is a grocery and coffee shop on the ground level, a Starbucks next door, and restaurants on the block! The room was very clean, great view of fireworks for NYE, laundry in your room, a balcony, no complaints at all! It was my anniversary and Kasa left us a $10 Starbucks gift card in our room which was a thoughtful touch! Also a coffee machine, cookware, and a couple snacks too! Thank you for a great stay!
- Vance (10/5): - Nice apt. Will stay again.
- Xuqiang (6/5): - Not recommend of aged family, we had horrible check-in experiences. they really need to figure out a better check-in process. when we arrived the place after a long driving, what is people expected? A complicated self check-in process. At least I will never boot same type hotel anymore.
- Shane (10/5): - Besides not being approved for an early check-in, EXCELLENT place to stay at! Looking forward to coming back soon this coming year.
- Jihyun (10/5): - Excellent location
- Christa (10/5): Absolutely prefect location! - Incredibly easy to get to and the location was absolutely perfect! So many beautiful restaurants around as well as so close to many of Austinās attractions. I hope to get back again soon and will for sure be recommending and booking Kasa again!
- David (8/5): Excellent space and location - Very nice stay with Kasa. Excellent location in downtown Austin. The room was extremely spacious and well laid out including a small porch. No issues with the small exception of finding the correct entrance which is just a bit buried in a building but overall, great place and would stay again with hesitation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Kasa - Fantastic stay clean and great location will return
- Chasidee (10/5): - The villa was amazing!!! We didnāt want to leave. It actually felt like home.
The companyās communication was very quick and helpful.
Very close to areas downtown and 6th street. The only one dislike was the water didnāt stay hot long, but everything else was perfect!!!
- Jay (10/5): AWESOME PLACE! - We HIGHLY recommend this place! We stayed in the one bedroom (I believe they have a two bedroom as well), and it was absolutely awesome! Everything seemed to be brand new and very clean. I believe Kasa must lease these apartments and then rent them out, but Iām not sure. Either way, it was fantastic and I donāt think you could find a nicer place for the money. Full kitchen with a huge living space. We were on the fifth floor and enjoyed the balcony.
Itās a great location in a nice area, and is a short walk to Rainey and 6th Streets. There is no front desk, so when you arrive, park out front or in the garage (free for 20 minutes) and then go to your room and get your parking pass (if you chose to park there). Then you can exit the garage and re-park with your pass. We received texts from Kasa several times throughout our stay, just asking if we got into our room ok and if everything was going well. So cool!
Donāt look anywhere else⦠book this place if youāre looking for an AWESOME place to stay in downtown Austin! šš»
Iāve included a couple of photos (keep in mind, we had already been in the room for a day when I took the photos haha)
- Glen (10/5): - Overall, great place
Toliet seat was loose,I fixed it
Directions, a bit challenging but this old man made it
Will use again if able. Great Italian restaurant, Taverna Boci Room right there. Thanks to all !!!!
- Katherine (10/5): - Kasa Downtown suited our needs perfectly for a 2 night stay. Detailed instructions are given as to how to check in when you arrive, so if you follow them there are no issues. and Kasa immediately responded to any issues or queries we had. It's located in the business district, directly across the road from ACL Live, and other areas with more bars/restaurants/shops are walkable or short Uber drives away. Apartment was large, clean and tidy. Air con was slightly noisy and some street noise can be heard but apart from that (and for the price) can thoroughly recommend!
- Lawrence (8/5): Downtown apartment - Nice clean apartment in a good section of downtown Dallas with many good restaurants nearby
- Pamela (8/5): Austin with Daughter - Accessing the property is tricky though the directions are very specific. The key card for the elevators worked sometimes but not always ending was annoying for the people that live there Iām sure.
We called immediately upon arrival to get a blanket for our daughter since she was staying on the sleeper sofa but they did not bring one until the next day. We had to pile on clothes and such because it got cold that night.
The location is great! Walking distance to restaurants and shops and the river.
- Lawrence (4/5): - The property is well appointed and in a great location, and while Kasa uses very sleek tech for check-in/check-out and communication, I unfortunately discovered their major flaw of having poor onsite service and poor resolution of issues. I reported a maintenance issue on my first full day of a four-night stay and was told it would be taken care of right away. When I did not hear back, I reached out again and was told it would be fixed within 12-48 hours. After well over 48 hours later I reached back out again and at that point was only offered a thank you for ābringing it to their attentionā but offered no resolution of the issue. I then reached out on the day of check-out asking about how they could make it right for me and was told I would hear from someone. I reached out again after not hearing and was thanked again for my concern. After yet another attempt to get resolution I was told my case would be āescalatedā and I would hear back from the main office, which I never did.
- Jason (10/5): - Kasa Downtown Austin was a wonderful experience. The apartment was clean. Communication with Kasa was on point and clear. Great location in downtown Austin.
- Robert (10/5): - It had a big porch. The kitchen was very usable. It had a microwave, refrigerator (with ice machine), stove and dishwasher.
- Erik (10/5): - Great location for dining and walking around.
- Siobhan (10/5): - The property was fantastic, check in is a little complicated which would have been fine if the insturctions had been received before i started travelling. I received them while driving which meant I had no clue what to do when I arrived.
I'm unsure why I couldn't receive the instructions earlier and just have the codes become active at the time they need to.
- Oya (10/5): - Amazing location , clean and large apartment. Easy communication. Highly recommended.
- Monique (10/5): Great apartment, skip the pool. - Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! The unit was very clean and well appointed. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. The only drawback at this property was the pool area. The cushions on the lounge chairs and in the cabanas were not very clean and looked moldy. The pool itself was also not very clean. From afar, the pool looks nice but upon closer inspection it left a lot to be desired.
- Gorkem (10/5): - Everything was great 10/10, just tv in living room remote doesnt work
- Barbara (10/5): Easy, hassle free, clean - The only issue we had was locating the entrance at arrival but the help desk was quick to help us out. Once in the apartment we had the best time. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The downtown location is great. If they had a space to store the luggage after checking out this would be the perfect place to stay.
- Carter (10/5): - Cool area and comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean and convenient, perfect spot in Austin - Excellent accommodation...clean clean clean. Great location and lots of space. Will definitely stay again!
- Madison (10/5): - Very spacious. Great spot between downtown bars and easy to get to shopping on south congress
- Orlando (10/5): - I fell in love with this place definitely coming back
- Angela (10/5): - Nice accommodations, spacious and clean, and in a convenient area.
- GARY (10/5): - Nice apartment w/balcony view.
Very clean, and nice central Austin downtown location.
Less than 10 minute walk to the convention center, lots of restaurants to choose from.
About 2 blocks to a park area by the river with long trails for walking or jogging. Worth checking out.
- Rowena (10/5): - Loved it! Definitely will stay anytime Iām in Austin.
- Andrea (10/5): Great place downtown Austin - We had an amazing stay! Great place, updated and comfortable. Communication is amazing 24/7. We'll definitely stay here again.
- Francesco (10/5): - Fantastic clean appartment
- Tyler (10/5): Lovely - Apartment was very nice. Great view great location.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Untrustworthy listing and fraudulent advertising - Truly not worth the price due to extremely loud club noise from a block away into 2amā¦even with all windows and doors closed. Kasaās solution to deliver ear plugs instead of offering a refund so I could go somewhere that I could sleep (I canāt sleep with earplugs in) was an absolutely atrocious slap in the face. Kasa knows that the Coconut Club, an open air rooftop dance club that plays blaring music until 2am EVERY NIGHT makes it difficult to impossible for people to sleep prior to the club closing at 2am. Additionally, it goes all evening as wellā¦so if you need to work in the rental unit it is also very difficult. Kasa 24/7 help desk lied about having knowledge and part complaints about this issue when I called them. Not a happy experience all around.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Some issues but overall good stay - Property was nice and instructions for access were clear but:
- they didn't clear under the bed and it was full of dust
- although there was a coffee machine and grounds, there were no filters in the apartment
- the air conditioning was too strong and although I messaged the number they shared no one responded for the full week I stayed.
- Lonnie (6/5): Broken kiosk - Check in was supposed to be simple. However when I got to the property the kiosk on the first floor wasnāt working. I had to go down to the parking garage to access the kiosk and subsequently the elevator. It was difficult to be able to get to my room. That sort of threw things off for me.
- Ryan (10/5): A must stay. - Great place to stay, massive apartment and close to everything.
- Deborah (8/5): - Unique eclectic vibe. Excellent location and facility, but very difficult to find. Complicated check-in interactive is only provided at the last minute; be sure to plan a safe location and read through it carefully! This is esssential for this location.
- Melissa (8/5): - The property is in a great location near walking trails and lots of dining options. It was clean and comfortable. It was challenging to figure out the parking and the elevator the first day and it felt like i had to click a lot of links to get the check-in and parking instructions.
- Edgar (10/5): - The place was very clean and comfortable. Convenient location to all the activities we wanted to do.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Needs a little work - It was not very clean. Huge dust bunnies and floor made our feet black. Toilet seat too small. Slid all around
Bed comfy and location awesome
- Jeff (10/5): Great - Great location and stay.
- Ronald (10/5): - Great stay
Perfect location
Great place to stay in Austin
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great downtown apartment - Great location, easy check-in/out process, super convenient, and amazing view! Loved this place!
- Perla (10/5): - Great location. All downtown stuf, 6th street, and congress shopping is walking distance. Great restaurants all around and you never really have to move your car.
- Michele (6/5): Long weekend getaway - The building is all concrete, no pictures, runners, decorations at all. The unit was exactly the same. We were surprised by the lack of effort put into the place. Maybe it is still under construction. Bare minimum amenities including coffee.
- Brandy (8/5): Great location, cool vibe - Great location, very clean and spacious. Road noise from street is loud but overall excellent stay.
- Daniel (10/5): - Nice location
- Sylvia (10/5): - Great location, very clean property, comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again.
- Lindsay (4/5): Dissapointing. Ignore the āwonderfulā reviews. - Arrival and check-in is super complicated. Itās an apartment, which is confusing given I booked it via HOTELS.COM. The āpull-outā sofa missed a cushion and had nasty food and Cheetos when you pulled out the futon. It was loud af at night since our room faced downtown. Parking was inconvenient; not pet friendly at all - 4 tiny pee pads available set up at each corner of the pool; donāt get me started on the elevator. Overall, the building was one of those overpriced apartment complexes that are built in a month and horribly designed.
- Christopher (10/5): - It was perfect in every way. Nice exercise facility and nice pool. Everything else was five star. We will definitely return to Kasa downtown Austin
- Steven (10/5): - Property was clean and well cared for in a quality building. Really liked the location, easy walking to everything downtown.
- Debra (10/5): - Great location next to ACL.
- Jade Arvin (10/5): - The property was great. From the amenities and the location proper, it was convenient for everything!
The only flaw, which is not really a major flaw, was the bedroom remote only had one battery so we we werenāt able to use it. But everything was great.
- Jeffery (10/5): - This is a superior option to a hotel room IF you are self sufficient. A fully furnished apartment where you can prepare meals if you want, do light business entertaining and enjoy a very quiet environment. Check in and out was so smooth and the response times from property managers was excellent. Will stay here again.
- Susana (10/5): - Great place to stay in the heart of Austin. So many places to eat great food within walking distance. The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed.
