Guest Reviews
- Basudha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bangi (10/5): Exceptional - Good Good
- Hoe (9/5): Highly recommended! - The location is the top reason I booked this hotel, followed by the price. The bathroom was really clean! The hotel was really quiet. There was even a drinking water dispenser with hot and cool water. I was surprised by the excellent service given by the helpful and friendly staff, who remembered all my preferences, and did everything to make it easier for me, such as letting me go through the back door to catch my connecting bus. There aren’t enough hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes.
- Kristinkok (7/5): Value for money due to the location. - Location is excellent and room is clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Slightly noisy due to the footsteps from the room above or else is pretty quiet especially during the day.
- 815chk (8/5): Review of Herren Inn - The room is clean and on the ground floor. It is quiet during the day but pretty noisy at night as I hear footsteps of the tenants of the room above mine. The patter of footsteps made sleeping difficult, Checking in and out is without any hassle. There is also a cafe which sells drinks which is open to the public as well. Location is excellent.
- Rocky (9/5): Amazing stay - Clean, cheap and prime location to all attractions. Winner None
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Location great Room air con sound a bit loud
- Haojie (9/5): Superb - It is so near to the Jonker Street and you can walk to many attractions places.

- Nickole (9/5): Will definitely come back again. - Smooth check in and check out. Very kind and helpful people at the front desk. Superb location, we didn’t even use our car or Grab during our 3D2N stay. Everything within walking distance. Great value of money. Very clean. Spacious room. Nothing actually.

- Ozgun (8/5): Very good - All around old architectural building. The staff is nice and kind. Location is great. Would be nice if there was a mini fridge in the room.
Some people talk at the garden too loud and the sound is all in the room. Would be great if there will be more sound isolation.

- Kok (6/5): No frill stay with great location - Great location within walking distance from Jonker Street. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. We like the old Malacca shophouse vibes but the Property is a bit aged and requires renovation. Cleanliness can be improved as we spotted cockroaches in the toilet. Aircon has a musty smells and remains noisy throughout the night.
- Akmar (10/5): Exceptional -

- Jingmin (7/5): Overall Not A Bad One . - love how convinience was it for the location wise
they called me one day before to update me that their kitchen was under reno . so my upgrading room price was replaced by the breakfast fee . which was awesome service
was abit dissapointed as the checkin machine went abit hay wired. :( if not the stay will be even better over all it was alright and the cleaniness was not bad also . counting it as a self checkin Inn . i had a not bad experience :) Checkin and Vending machine was down :((
- Lindy (8/5): Very good - Superb staff, interesting architecture
- Ding (8/5): Very good - Location was convenient and very near jonker area. Very short walk from Casa Del Rio as we opted for coach with droppoff at Casa Del Rio.
The staff (william) was helpful and assisted us with self check in kiosk. It will be good to provide an online step by step screenshot or video of the check-in kiosk so that first time guests does not feel lost. He was very kind and provided us with suggestions where to go as well. There's also a small play area suitable for young kids.
Room was clean and decent but do take note there is no TV/fridge and no daily housekeeping. Shampoo & body wash is available, rest of toiletries you need to bring your own. Clothes hanger is limited so advisable to bring your own as well.
Breakfast was simple but good enough - home cooked chicken porridge on D1 and curry chicken rice on D2, scrambled eggs, baked beans. There are plain sliced breads & jam/kaya/butter available with toaster so you can DIY. Coffee and tea packets are available for you to brew yourself. There is a hot/cold water dispenser outside for public usage.
Overall its a pleasant stay, no major complaints for the price paid! There are ALOT of mosquitoes flying around! Pls bring along mozzie spray/patch esp if you have young kids. Will be good if host put some mozzie incense burners around or provide mozzie sprays/patches for guests.
- Anna (8/5): Very good - Very well located and the stuff was quite helpful. The breakfast was okay. The "garden view" in the name of the room has nothing to do with a garden as there isn't one anywhere to be found.
- Sreejit (7/5): Good -
- Danny (9/5): Superb -
- Jaffar (8/5): Very good -
- Jaffar (7/5): Good -

- lillecrapp (10/5): Perfect location and low price for a good clean room! - It is a fabulous location and quiet even though its in the middle of the action. The room we had (203) had a window, lots of light and plenty of room. William keeps the place spotless and he is lovely and helpful. It would be ideal for anyone including solo travellers.
- Yang (8/5): Very good - the location, very center, you can see a
lot of historical building.
the room is spacious, the shower is
powerful. the breakfast is generous. the
bed is soft and comfortable, we had a
very good sleep. problem can be quickly
solved if happened. its a self checking property, so
sometimes its not convenience when we
need service and the stuff is not there,
the owner is a very shy man, who dont
like talk with guests. we always expect to
have conversation with guesthouse
owner which can make trip interesting.

- Shu (8/5): Very good -
- Britney (9/5): Superb - Friendly services , nice person , nice food Feel like home
- Samantha (3/5): We did have a fabulous fun time in Melaka. 3D2N is too short for the amazing Melaka. - The hotel location is strategically a walking distance to Jonker street, very convenient for the elderly folks. There is a Cuckoo water filter. The room is rather dirty and the shower head needs to change. (older model & the water flow is very low). The hotel was silent on the lift and I was not aware. The steam iron is out of order.
The room is only specifically for the number of people registered & extra people have to pay. I was accused of missing hangers in the room. (Who would take them away?) Not sure the owner has checked the previous occupant but I was rather angry & sad.
- Jian (7/5): Nice Staff - Nice Mahal
- Bo (8/5): Very good -
- Sim (8/5): Very good -
- Tam (9/5): Superb - The service staff Mr William was superbly helpful, although we can't check in even after an hour due to high volumn of tourists. But Mr William was politely informed us.
The self check-in was a plus point The parking behind has increased to RM8 Per day and if you park over night it will be double. When peak season like my travelled period the parking will be full.
- Su (7/5): Good -
- Yock (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kalpani (7/5): Good - I like the location cause it was central to many more attractions with walking distance and room was clean and tidy.
- Desmond (6/5): Great location but keep your expectations in check regarding the hotel facilities. - William is a very friendly and helpful host. Nothing was too much trouble for him.! The location of the hotel is central as all the attractions are extremely close, and easily in walking distance. Out breakfast was a bit hit & miss , however on our third and last day was very enjoyable as there was roti, samosa etc. Jonkers Street food market is just around the corner. In any other location in Melacca this would be a $30 a night hotel. No tea / coffee making facilities in the room, however you could go downstairs where hot water was available to make tea/coffee.

- Barin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Norzabilah (6/5): pleasant - location the toilet seat is too cramp
- Celeste (1/5): May be can put one assistant in lobby to guide us where to park the car and help us load our luggage - No ceiling fan in the room. Air cond have to on all the time otherwise feel dry and hot Parking is far away frm hotel. Can not stop car in front of the hotel.. No staff come out to help us to load our luggage as our car is blocking the road
