- clement (10/5): An amazing hostel very close Denver downtown - An amazing hostel which is very close Denver downtown. You can go to museums by walk. The staff is very kind and you feel like at home in this hostel. There is an amazing atmosphere.
- Kenton (1/5): Terrible. Management was pure evil. I would not recommend staying here. Absolutely terrible - Management was disrespectful. Staff stole my food. Kicked me out and didn’t refund my money. The hot tub smells like shit. Bugs in the restroom. My curtain on my bunk was broken the whole time.

Beds were comfortable and gave a lot of privacy. The kitchen is quite small, including the eating area that may be difficult to manage at busy times. There could be more toilets
- Benedict (10/5): Awesome place for a stay in Denver, definately recommended - Wow, what a place. Visited so many hostels in several US states. But Ember in Denver was definately my favorite. Beautiful old, spacious building with traditional furniture and atmosphere. Spacious common area inside and outside. Whirlpool and camp fire outside. Friendly, helpful staff, fast WiFi, easy to get in contact with other guests. Quiet location but still in the heart of Denver Public kitchen quite small

- Phil_B (10/5): One of the Top 3 hostels I've ever stayed in - This is a very good hostel. All hostels should take a look at the bathroom set-up here, and learn from it. It's amazing to have the space to yourself and be able to put your stuff somewhere while you shower. The temperature and pressure is great. The common room space is really nice as well. I didn't use the hot tub or kitchen facilities, but they looked cool. Location is good too, you can walk to the Capitol in about 15 minutes, I also walked to the breweries in the Walnut Street area in about 45 minutes. Everything was great.
- Pedro Benjamin (7/5): - Buena ambientacion del espacio comun. Hidromasaje y fogata en el jardin exterior. La cocina es muy chica y no es comoda.
- Russell (7/5): -
- ALISA (10/5): - Gorgeous stylish interior, the hostel is situated in a real old mansion! The staff is friendly and helpful, and they really love their job and their place. Everything was perfect. Ember hostel feels like home ❤️

- Gabriele (10/5): Perfect for a short stay in Denver - Cleaning and staff were very nice and kind. Overall, location is also good, in a residential area well connected to the city and the center. Very good price compared to the market. Highly recommended.
- Lisa (10/5): Magical -
- Liz (10/5): - Great staff, like really, really, great!
- Nax (8/5): I can’t wait to stay here again! - The property itself is AMAZING. Beautifully preserved and renovated. Stunning atmosphere.
Covered porch in the front came in handy when it rained. Open patio in the back attracted folks to hang together. Multi person hot tub was a hit.
It was easy to get along with people staying at the hostel. Lots of likeminded travelers are attracted to this space!
The rooms were well-kept and cleaned regularly. The communal bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily. There was breakfast on occasion and different events going on like movies and live music.
It was easy to be social or independent. Sharing a space with others will inevitably come with tolerating other people’s cleanliness, respect for time and quiet, etc. I didn’t run into issues but it’s par for the course of staying in a hostel.
- Ella (7/5): Clean, comfy hostel, unsocial vibe - Hostel was very clean, beds were comfortable with nice privacy curtain. Location was good, near downtown and walking distance from a trader joes. Staff were professional and gave me a good orientation to the hostel The atmosphere in the hostel was not the friendliest I have ever been in. People did not talk to each other. There was a weird vibe socially, it felt like i was not the most welcome. My bedroom was in the basement so there was little natural light in the rooms
- Lauren (7/5): - The staff was friendly and the beds were decently comfy. As a solo female traveler, there was not a single time I felt uncomfortable or threatened in any way. I loved that there was tea available t brew! The bathrooms were pretty narrow and I didn't find any mirrors which made it a little hard to get ready in the morning for a big event but those are minor complaints.
- Luis (10/5): Vacation - Jacuzzi Is good but 2 time give my bed to the other people
- John (7/5): This is a hostel is transitional housing for many of the guests. It offers a good landing place. - Friendly residents and relaxed aphmosphere. Common area was confortable I felt safe and secure kitchen offered free coffee and a place to store food. Laundry and showers clean and modern, The hot tub was warm crontrols did not work to turn on jets. I asked to buy a lock for my locker did not have any. The other question was about getting to the airport. Vauge answer about go to Union Station two mikes away, Fortunate the RTD app. directed me to the bus stop for the 0 bus to Union station My bed was right next to the door and everytime it opened I woke up
- Nicole (9/5): Wonderful - The facilities are incredible! It is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. The dorm setup is ideal, and the kitchen and bathrooms are well-equipped. The outside area is such a nice space for everyone to come together after a day out. Unfortunately, my food was stolen from the fridge, even though it was in a bag and labeled (twice). I reported this and nothing was done.

- torin (10/5): Best hostel i've ever stayed at in the US - The hostel itself it in a good area, there is free tea and there is a lot of bathrooms and showers. The thing I loved was the lounging areas, the jacuzzi and the fireplace were both open and provided a fantastic experience. We got the cheapest option which was the big shared room and no one snored which is super lucky. The parking does cost but its only $10 which is good considering its near the city center.
- Romero (1/5): - They threw me out after I had paid, and arrived!
I want .y money back .
The manager was rude and Authoritarian, horrible for a mgr. Todo.
- Reuben (8/5): -
- Gurel (8/5): Professional staff, spotless. - The staff is kind and professional, the facilities are very clean. The atmosphere is cozy. There was too much noise at night in the room. People were talkin laud sometime watchin instagram videos without headset. Altough there is a no noise after 11 PM policy, which could be better enforced.
- Christian Alexander (10/5): Amazing inexpensive place downtown - This hostel is located downtown in a beautiful building in a safe area. Staff is super friendly, helpful, and professional. Facilities include a cozy living room, spacious backyard with hot tub and fireplace, shared kitchen, a storage room and plenty of showers and restroom. I loved the atmosphere! And Ethan's coffee is great ;o) -
- Valeriy (10/5): -
- Francis (10/5): -
- Mikolaj (9/5): -
- Andrei Alberto (4/5): Disappointing experience for the price - The historical building is beautiful Bunk beds, bathrooms, showers and kitchen are all in the basement where spaces are very small. Not a terrible experience, but the price is not justified when a private room in a hotel is just as much, has free parking, and won't charge you for losing the key card. The fun hostel factor is non-existent: no themed nights or organized activities. Overall disappointing and would not return.
- Alex (10/5): -
- Véronique (9/5): - Cosy and super well located hostel, I particularly enjoyed walking back and forth through the nice architectural Sherman street from the nearby capitol and museum area to the hostel. The place itself is charming, old house vibes with a large living room I wish I had had more time to spend in (and thanks for the classical music there one early morning :-)). Most of the shared bathrooms are spacious enough and well maintained. Beds are super good with thick curtains ensuring a lot of privacy and darkness, guaranteeing a good night, plus lockable storage underneath. The kitchen is small but functional and offers storage for own food. The staff is around and very helpful, also open to discuss any issue related to hostel life and guests. I would go back there for sure if I happened to travel to Denver again! The dorm door didn't always close properly (lock issue I reported to the staff), but the hostel itself feels very safe, so that wasn't an issue on the whole (it's a small fix anyway, not really a point of criticism)
- Julian (10/5): - Great neighborhood to walk around, friendly staff, cool old house. Beds were also comfortable.
- Robert (10/5): Overall great experience. - The set up was very nice, easy to connect with people. Nothing
- Lina (10/5): -
- giselmey (8/5): Beautiful hostel, conveniently located, good value - Beautiful historic building with resident feline, great location near public transport and many sights, nice backyard features, sturdy and spacious beds with electrical connections and privacy curtains. One remark though: older folks might want to request a bottom bunk; the top ones are a bit difficult to access due to the spacing and the step area of the ladder rungs. The attitude of one staff member was not helpful after I had asked him to make coffee (as the sign in the kitchen said) and he had created a concoction that was not even tea (see photo): "This is how we make coffee here. But there are great coffee shops in the area to get coffee the way YOU like it."
- Jaramillo (7/5): -
- Adventulina (10/5): Great experience, clean and beautiful place with great facilities. - Very clean, great facilities, comfy rooms, and best hostel bathrooms I've seen. Stuff was great too!
- Padilla (10/5): - I liked my hole stay meet some nice people
- Mehmet Isik (10/5): -
- Natasha (10/5): Highly recommended! - It's honestly the best hostel I've ever stayed at. People are great here.
Everyone gives each other their space but they are also sociable and friendly.
It really offers so much: yoga mats if you want to do yoga, a hot tub, a 420-friendly porch, movie nights and sometimes yoga classes too.
(Soon, there will be a karaoke night as well.)
(There is so much offered, but yet the ambiance is quaint and quiet as well.
It's a mixture of all things.) N/A
- Natasha (10/5): Ember rocks! - Ember rocks! N/A
- Natasha (10/5): The best! - I have stayed at almost every hostel in the area, and Ember is lovely and quaint and the best hands-down, as well as the friendliest and with the most amenities.
(The decor is also very vintage and cute; the ambiance is unparalleled.)
Highly recommended. N/A
- Forsell (10/5): -
- Matt (1/5): - Management
- Keenen (8/5): Great stay overall. Highly recommend - Liked the social aspect, the backyard chill area with the outdoor fireplace and the hammock and the adorable little kitty that lives there. seemes like the price on my last renewal jumped kind of high seeing as how the booking price was about $20 cheaper but no bigs
- Yu Chuan (7/5): Considering the cleanliness, privacy, and price, this is a good-value hostel. - The front desk staff were super friendly and even helped me carry my very heavy luggage to my room. The showers on the second floor were always clean. The girls’ room was quiet and private, and I appreciated being able to get fresh towels every day. Didn’t feel very safe walking around the area as a solo female traveler (especially toward the south side of the property). Also, the kitchen isn’t very practical for cooking, and the refrigerator is usually packed.
- Alice (8/5): - Incredibly cool historical building in a convenient location. High quality finishes.
Other guests seemed to be either young solo travelers or 60 something men there to smoke weed.
Lots of bathrooms and shower stalls available.
Nice ambience with the living room—feels like somewhere that invites you to hang out. -The dorm smelled damp and slightly mildewy, like maybe there was water damage.
-the fridge door doesn’t stay shut so just know you’re rolling the dice with leftovers
- Sonny (10/5): -
- Chien-Wen (10/5): Wonderful place, would definitely stay again - Great place to stay, in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to public transport. The best part is how friendly the staff and other guests are with games, movies, sharing food, conversation, etc. One morning the staff made free waffles, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, etc. for all the guests. Would definitely stay here again.
- 홍 (8/5): -
- Alexandra (10/5): A colorful group of travelers in a house with many places to gather or do your own thing! - The front desk receptionist was so helpful and welcoming. He toured the house with me, presented all bathrooms, dorm where I would stay, rooms to gather. Excellent!
- Jorrell (10/5): Immaculate vibes with a very friendly staff, definitely a good place to stay to get to Denver experience close to everyt - Historic property with lots of character, but even more historic vibes
- Damien (5/5): - Location, old house I forgot something in the room and send them 2 emails to try to get it back, they've never repied me.
- Brandon (10/5): -
- Chris (8/5): - Cool hostel in a protected historic building. Felt like staying in a big home. Sitting out front with a coffee on the terrace in the mornings, Beautiful interior .Outdoor Jacuzzi at night was super relaxing before a good sleep and large garden with firepit looked cool :-) Great wifi! $7 uber to downtown. Staff nice and friendly Fridge space completely jammed up, could be tidied up but not really an issue. Free coffee was great 24/7 :-)
- George (8/5): A good but expensive option - just some typical hostel problems - Overall, it's a pretty good hostel, despite some (fairly typical hostel) problems. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were generally kept clean.
The hostel is an attractive older house, which gives it a nice charm.
Lots of seating inside and out, and there are also three different desks, which was hugely helpful.
Wifi worked well.
Lots of bathrooms/toilets, and showers. Even when the hostel was full, they were never all occupied at the same time. Bathroom and shower maintenance could be improved. Most of the showers have no ventilation at all - they are small enclosed rooms, with not even a fan working. So they tend to get very stuffy and just feel a little gross after they get some usage each day.
Several times, bathrooms ran out of toilet paper and/or hand soap. The staff is responsive when you tell them, but it shouldn't be something they have to constantly be told about. Just replenish them each day as part of cleaning! They obviously did not, as I often saw these things running low shortly after the daily cleaning.
At least in my dorm, the door opens and closes in a rather noisy way (squeaking hinges, the latch, etc) and the lockers are also noisy. A typical but annoying problem in a room where people are trying to sleep.
Most of the common area seating is divided up into smaller seating areas, and as a result most of what I observed was small groups socializing, it didn't have much of a "communal" vibe.
- Roberto (10/5): - Good hostel, chepaest accomodstiin you czn get in denver
- Audrey (8/5): -
- Gregory (10/5): - As hostels go this one we good. Well run for a hostel. It is a hostel so that comes with all the baggage that hostels bring. Not for everyone.
- Cassandra (1/5): - I tried to cancel because I arrived and immediately had an asthma and allergy reaction due to there being cat hair and dust and debris everywhere I would have liked to have been able to cancel my reservation, I walked in and realized the situation was dangerous for me and the person working there was kind and said it was canceled but then I still got charged even though I didn’t stay
- Matt (3/5): - Great location and comfortable bunks The person checking me in double charged me because he couldn’t figure out how to apply my booking.com reservation (I paid through booking) and I’m unable to get help from anyone at the hostel or booking.
- Matt (7/5): I stayed because I travel and whenever I work in Denver and need to stay the night it’s my go to spot - Small cozy atmosphere People are weird
- Louise (6/5): Ça a été - Le lieux, l’emplacement et le personnel Le manque de ménage
- Jose (10/5): -
- Dylan (1/5): Very bad experience - It sucked Hostile staff
- Dylan (1/5): - Not much The staff were very hostile
