Parking is great. Host was a little hard to understand at first but was still very nice. Weird that he greeted us at 3pm, was still there when we came back at midnight and was also the one who checked us out the next morning when we left at 11am. Aren’t there any laws in place in Canada to protect workers from working so many hours in a row? Very strange… Shower and sink drain seemed to be clogged. People were really loud in the room across ours. There was a weird tobacco odor in the second room of our rental which we did not use at all. But we also did not appreciate not being able to lock the doors of that second room which seemed to have an access to a staff room.

Bram (7/5): Still a Historic place in a lovely town to walk around. - Through some kind of deal, we had one of the top floor rooms, which were just so opulent and amazing that we felt like royalty. I missed the cafe and restaurant. The meals used to be amazing. Now there is a boring continental breakfast.

Tanya (9/5): Superb - Love the old quaint look with modern amenities, rooftop terrace, outdoor hot tub (freshly cleaned), and continental breakfast. It's cozy and quiet. The adjoining room connecting our suite did not have a lock on the inside door (inside our room). This left us feeling uncomfortable and vulnerable, with a fear someone could enter from the other side while we were sleeping. We were informed that was not possible because they have to be unlocked by them. I recommend a chain lock on the inside for guest to feel safe. We put our daughter in the Queen room, while we took the double (not ideal) and set traps to be heard if the door should open during the night.

You have to be very quiet moving around the hotel as your footsteps are loud. Small town and not much to do at all. However, I would stay there again. The owner was very polite and kind.

It would have been nice to have a little more fresh fruit other than apples. The room smelled like sewage and the toilet could hardly flush. The mattress needs to be changed as it seemed to be old.

Each room (we rented three) was not spacious, but large enough, and each was charmingly decorated with wood accents. The breakfast was ordinary (I don’t like those wooden utensils) but I didn’t leave feeling hungry. There was ample parking and a ramp to roll luggage up - so much more convenient than stairs. Not generic, but not superior either.

Greg (4/5): Two very disappointed travelers/customers - The room was clean but the service was terrible, the lady at the front desk did not go out of her way to make us feel welcome at all. We asked if we could check in early as we drove through the night from Ontario ( little over 8 hours) to attend a military graduation and notice an empty room on the way from the back parking lot, she told us that she didnt have any rooms available when we had just seen one. Then asked if we could at least use the handicap bathroom near the front desk so we could change our clothes and freshen up and again she said no. We left very disappointed. During our supper with the family at around 6:00pm, she calls us asking for payment to keep our room or she would give it to someone else, so because everything was booked in Saint Jean sur Richelieu and we needed a place to sleep we paid it over the phone, unwillingly, and to add to the check-in your websits states 11:00pm. When we got to the hotel that evening around 8ish, the room she gave us was the empty room we saw in the morning. We will neved stay there again not because the hotel was not nice, only because of the lady's lack of customer service, and unfriendliness.

Patrick (9/5): A historical venue that you'll never forget. - It's a gorgeous stone and wood hotel next to a river. Very family friendly and perfect for a romantic evening. The restaurant's ambiance is chill and classy. Delicious grilled cheese. Beds were a little squeaky. Some doors jammed and were hard to open. Rooms didn't have a coffee maker so you need to go to the main lounge to prepare your morning brew.

JetSetter232 (8/5): Cozy "gite" in Eastern Townships - My family and I (2 adults, 2 children) stayed at this quaint little cottage-style inn during Labor Day long weekend as we wanted to do a few local activities (like hiking at the nearby Gault Forest Reserve, and apple picking at Le Potager Mont-Rouge). We booked a Family Suite (2 comfortable beds) and the room was equipped with a small kitchenette, fridge/freezer, microwave, and some cutlery. It also had A/C. The bathroom and shower was very clean, although it would've been nice to have some shower gel instead of only shampoo. We had to use the bar of soap to clean our bodies. There's also a very nice gastro-pub called Les Gosseus d'bois attached to the hotel with very friendly service and great food (and large portions). The restaurant is closed on Mondays. If you need to eat breakfast, we recommend Le Brac just a few kms away (better option than Tim Hortons). The hotel also had a jacuzzi on the top terrace available for all guests. Overall, a very nice stay and friendly family-run hotel!

Isabelle (6/5): Ok, mais sans plus. - C'était ok! Je recommanderai seulement si vous avez un budget à respecter, parce que ca pourrait être plus clean. Il y avait présence de toiles d'araignées/poussières dans le haut des murs de notre chambre et sur les luminaires. L'air climatisé dans la chambre fait quand même beaucoup de bruit. Le moins positif est que c'est proche de bons petits resto dans la ville!
