Guest Reviews
- Anna (9/5): - The staff were super friendly and helpful.
- Dirk (10/5): Super lodge - Alles Küche war etwas spärlich aber nicht so schlimm
- gurung (8/5): 1min walk from Moiwa ski resort and 10-15mins walk from Annupuri ski resort pretty convient - Pretty gud exactly like picture Everything was gud

- Zhi Wei (2/5): I would not recommend staying here if you value reliability and service." - The location is quite isolated, far from the 'Big 4' ski resorts and Niseko’s main commercial areas. To make matters worse, the reception staff was cold and the overall service was unprofessional.
I signed up for their Rusutsu ski trip three days in advance and even double-checked with reception two or three times, receiving confirmation as late as the night before. However, I was told at the very last minute on the morning of the trip that it was cancelled. The reason given was that they hadn't met the minimum number of participants—a rule that was never communicated to me beforehand. Had I known this was a possibility, I would have booked elsewhere or made a Plan B.
Due to the hotel's remote location, I also had to pay 7,000 yen for a transfer to the Welcome Center on my final day. I would not recommend staying here if you value reliability and service."

- Tabrett (10/5): - Spacious bed and communal areas
Large breakfasts with eggs, bacon, toast, cereal and yoghurt
Great social vibe
Right next to moiwa resort and can get an easy shuttle to Annipuri The kitchen is right next to the bathroom and can only really be used for cup noodles and microwave meals. Fine for a short stay but might want to consider if you’re here longer
- joseph (4/5): Mediocre will never go back to moiwa - Breakfast was nice. Restaurant beside was great but it’s literally the only thing there More food options, the lodge didn’t really support any exploring of other mountains or areas. Which whatever promote your own business but we’re here on vacation we don’t want to be stuck in moiwa the entire time
- Jasmine (6/5): Disappointed - Beautiful building and check in staff full of knowledge. Hot showers and great boot room. I was very disappointed. My first bed had a bare wire right by my head.
Very noisy and beds thin and uncomfortable.

- Andreas (8/5): - Really good value for money. The deluxe rooms are spacious. Got charged in Australian dollars even though everything was set to be charged in yen, never received a reply when I asked about it. The showers are not nice.

- Zachary (8/5): Pretty damn good for your money! - Its right beside moiwa lifts meaning getting access to pow early is made a lot easier, especially after a complimentary breakfast of bacon, eggs and other common breakfast items. The room seemed big enough to not feel cramped up while being cozy. Unfortunately outside the toilet area it absolutely wreaked of sewage, which im told managed to diffuse into a nearby room a friend was staying in.

- Rocky (6/5): Lively Stay by Moiwa Slopes - The deluxe room is nice and cosy, the bed is comfy and the vibe is quiet and relaxed. I think it’s sort of a different story in the other rooms. Breakfast is great, staff are lovely, and you’re right by Moiwa’s slopes. You’re within walking distance of plenty of lovely onsens as well as a fantastic japanese restaurant! The lodge itself has a nice restaurant too. Even though you’re practically on the Moiwa slopes, it’s pretty hard to get anywhere else. The morning shuttles are great, but outside of those you have to navigate the unreliable niseko buses - somewhat a nightmare. The atmosphere at the hostel is very lively, you can’t find a chill, quiet place in the evening - it depends what you like, for a quiet person this was difficult, but if you like to party and meet plenty of people this is the right place!

- Louisa (9/5): - We loved Niseko Back Country Lodge! Stayed as a family of 4 in a dorm of 6. Lovely co-travellers. Very peaceful and mostly quiet lodge. Breakfast was great and the restaurant next door was delicious! The location was awesome, a short walk to two different local onsen - one indoor and one outdoor. A short driive to Annapuri Ski Resort and literally across the road from Moiwa Ski Resort! We loved our stay and can't wait to visit again!

- Roy (8/5): A bunkbed property with a Restaurant - A clean property with bunk bed rooms. Each bed has curtains for privacy and a lamp and electric outlet. The property is two floors. The bathrooms, showers, and some hot water heaters for tea, etc, are on the first floor. The guests were mostly under 30 from their looks. And there is a restaurant in the lodge where the included breakfast is served and dinner can be purchased. All the staff, except in the restaurant were native english speaking.
- Julie (10/5): - This was a terrific hostel, with great attached restaurant and sister restaurant next door. Easy walk to onsens and local ski hills. Great lounge space for after the hills close. Could use a vending machine or two.
- Hui Hong (2/5): Book directly with the property - Booking the stay through Hotels.com is a mistake. The rate is lower when booked directly with the property.
Condition of the property was not very desirable and should be improved upon.
- Nathan (4/5): - Very confined space. Felt like I was on top of people trying to get around. If you don't have a vehicle you are limited to what is around you. No kitchen to cook your own meals. Was difficult to find a place to relax. The bathroom was out of hand towels for a day and both toilets where out of toilet paper. Breakfast was great and the gear lockers where great as well.
- Benedict (10/5): Fantastic stay - This was a great Lodge with a super helpful and friendly staff.
There is really nice common area and the breakfast was perfect for a day on the mountain.
The drying room was incredibly appreciated.
