Perfect location - just a short walk to city centre and off course the lovely Salamanca Markets! Easy parking and access to accommodation. There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like.

Having ice blocks for keeping picnics cool was a lovely touch. The welcome was warm, the details compendium was helpful. We would highly recommend this property (but would love to keep it secret enough for the next time we visit!). Thank you! Nothing to dislike about it.

• Kathryn (7/5): Central location in Hobart, good base for a couple of days. - Very central location in Hobart. If you're looking for a nice view or outlook, this is not the place but it was easy to park the car and walk to key locations. The shower is large and had plenty of hot water which was very welcome after exploring in cold weather. The forge is a small studio apartment at the back of the main house accommodation. Where you sleep is in close proximity to the car park, bins, and compressor for main house heater. It was a little noisy depending on what other guests were doing.

• Michael (3/5): Very disappointed in what was advertised on Bookings.com and what was the reality. - I refer to previous comments, property was not as advertised on Booking.com, photos shown on Boomings.com highlighting other apartment, it was false advertising, pictures showed lounge area, couch etc. apartment we rented had none of those, bed was against wall, had to crawl over partner to get out of bed during the night, no couch in apartment to sit on, the lowest of budget chains, would at least supply. Please supply what’s advertised, customers wouldn’t get upset as a result.

• Paul (10/5): Stunning Accommodation with every luxury you need for a relaxing stay. - The location was good. It was approximately a 10 minute walk to a Woolworths Supermarket and the main shopping area of Hobart CBD, a 15 minute walk to Salamanca Market and the wharves, there was a cafe just across the road where we ate breakfast on our final morning, the bag drop newsagency was a 5 minute walk South on Harrington Street which was extremely convenient so we could spend our final day in Hobart without the need to carry our luggage around. The house was stunning with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Three large bedrooms with comfy beds and choice of multiple pillows. Kitchen was fully equipped with appliances and pantry even had plenty of staples for anyone wanting to prepare meals in house. The bathrooms were well equipped with soap, bodywash, etc. Large showers and a window bathtub in the main attic bathroom. History of the accommodation was a nice touch to read about. Bec has done an amazing job with the accommodation and has to be praised for her excellent communication both before, during and after our stay. She was always prepared to be contacted if we needed anything further. Loved the complimentary chocolates also. Well done Bec..we would definitely stay here again next time we travel to Hobart. It didn’t bother us, but the stairs to the main bedroom were quite steep. This could be an issue for much older guests, but it still has 2 other large bedrooms downstairs. Semi busy traffic on work days but sound proofing in accommodation drowned out excessive noise.

• Pallavi (7/5): Was convenient but not relaxing - Clean location The bed being against the wall - difficult to get into and get out of. Also wall is rough and hurt in the night. No lounging area so either lying down or upright dining table seats. In the property facilities it says there is more. The sleeping arrangement and lack of somewhere comfortable to sit made it difficult to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounds.

Comfortable. Fast broadband. Good instructions and responsive host when we had questions. We would like to come back to stay here again. It's a small thing, but the blinds in the kitchen are not opaque, and the downstairs shower is through the kitchen, so I had to make sure that I had a towel or gown to get back from my shower. It is a restored Georgian house so the bedroom and ensuite upstairs is via a steep stair. I advise guests with mobility issues to just stay downstairs.

• Darko (8/5): Quiet, comfortable, lived the heritage feel if the neighbourhood and the apartment. - Made my own breakfast. The kitchen was totally sufficient for this. I bought my own Cobram oil in supermarket . Only needed a little- didn’t realise it was already there under the sink. A comfortable recliner style chair would have been the icing on the cake- as it’s not always practical or comfortable sitting on the bed if watching tv or just lounging and reading a book, Bec was a gracious host by letting me stay much longer after normal check out time. This was greatly appreciated as I had a late flight back to Sydney

• Rob (10/5): Everything about the sanctum boutique we quality from the location to the decor. I would stay there again without a doub - The size of the bedrooms was great, you could easily accommodate 3 couples. It was very homely and had everything we needed. It’s not a dislike, more like a suggestion, there should be somewhere outside to lock up cases for when you arrive early. We got to the place at 10am but couldn’t gain access until 2pm so had to drag our cases around until we could gain access. I would also suggest a coffee plunger instead of the capsule machine. Again only suggestions not complaints!

• Kathryn (9/5): Beautifully appointed apartments just outside the centre of Hobart - The apartments were beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and were well equipped. Perfect for a group as we could all hang out in the living room. The upstairs bedroom was hot in summer with a small window. The traffic in the morning was noisy for bedrooms facing the main street. Quite a big walk from the centre of Hobart if you don't have a car if you're doing that several times a day.

Ample off street parking, Directions to property accurate. Well equipped kitchen. Property clean and tidy, beautifully tiled bathrooms. Central location, wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. Could have done with a broom to sweep the floor. Nothing else comes to mind.

All three bedrooms were a great size and the lounge room was a perfect size. All of the facilities were more than needed and the off street parking was a god-send. We couldn't get the flame heater to work, but the reverse cycle was great to take the heat off on a chilly night.

Great apartments for a large group as there is a lounge room and kitchen to gather in. Without a car we had to do a lot of walking to get to the Centre of Hobart, the wharf etc and back again for dinner. Discovered North Hobart for dinner on the second night which was closer.

Bec was a friendly and helpful host and we were sad to leave!

• Marten (8/5): Excellent, good location, and comfortable. - Excellent little cottage not far from the centre of town. We stayed in the smaller "Forge" apartment which had everything you could need to a pleasant stay. Highly recommended. The only issue was the skylight in the bedroom. This is great for making it bright and airy, but not so great for sleeping in past 5am (when the sun rises in the peak of summer). To make it perfect, a blind or curtain for the skylight would be helpful.
