Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good rest - Nice place. Didn’t use amenities. Just here for a wedding
- Joseph (6/5): Nice, but old and noisy at night - I booked this placed because it was walking distance to the city center. So, it met my expectations for that. I was also clean. I gave it a lower ranking because 1) the noise and 2) general age of the home. In both points, I felt those negatives shouldn't have been observed for the cost I paid (especially since it wasn't yet peak season). Regarding the noise - 1) the windows were oh so thin. We were woken up both nights due to someone screaming in the streets (and I am a heavy sleeper). Also, when the AC came on at night it felt like it vibrated the room (Note: we had it set at 73). Perhaps it was because the AC was on the roof just above us (not sure?). Regarding the general age - from the pictures the place was clearly old (like 30 years), which isn't a problem. However, the wall paper in the 2nd bath has several areas where people have written on it over time. Also, the sleeper couch has seen better days. Was it in a great area, yes. Was it clean, yes. However, I think it was well over priced for what it was. It feels more like a crash pad for people who float the river.
Notes: The owner of the place may charge $25 / hour for an early check-in even if the room is available. We were told this even though no one had stay there is several days. We pushed back on it, and it was waived.
