Guest Reviews
- CHRISTINE (4/5): - Do not recommend to much construction in area no working elevator and customer service rude
- JOHN (10/5): Good very. Standard beings tru. Yes. Yes. - Yes. Thank you.
- Lindsay (2/5): - Do not recommend staying here unless you want dogs barking, a spring loaded bed, and an MIA front desk staff. They are extremely unprofessional, and wouldn’t even consider giving us a portion of our money back.
- Jesus (2/5): - Hallways smelled terrible and room was really humid with a moldy smell, hairs all over bed, towels and floor, they couldn’t switch our room which we understand since it was Labor Day weekend but my family woke up feeling sick
- Cindy (10/5): - Great location, very affordable and very clean.
- Shane (8/5): - Nice place for the money.
- Rodney (6/5): - Very good property and location. Comfortable bed and the tiny refrigerator was helpful to have available. The bathroom this visit was not clean and at check-in, a request for an additional pillow was denied.
- Lake (10/5): - Very clean and super nice staff
- CRISPIN (2/5): - We were assigned our 1st room and it smelt like cigarettes and was dirty. We asked for another room because we have a toddler and that room had hair all over sheets and spotted blood on one of the beds. People going in and out like it was a place to do their business and then head home to the family. We asked for a refund and staff said no because we booked through a third party. I just took it as a loss.
- Rodney (6/5): - My first stay was a far better experience, but this stay was not a negative one by any means.
The only real misgiving was a small one, where a past patron must have broken the television remote (this seemed to happen at a different hotel property i stayed in recently as well.
Staying on the 1st floor was a tiny bit loud through the night, but not awful. A room on any higher floor would probably be more tranquil.
- Norma (6/5): - The rooms were okay ,but it does need more cleaning the shower walls were dirty.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs Improvement - Room was okay… there were small bugs in the restroom and in the entry way to room… there never seems to be anyone at the front desk and when you call the front desk from your room there was a language barrier and rather than find someone who understands and can answer your question they just hangup on you.. i checked out of my room by the checkout time but my ride was running late due to having to take a friend to the hospital which i explained, so I was just sitting in the lobby out of anyone’s way and not bothering a single person and they kept asking me when my ride would be there cause “you can’t just sit in the lobby”.. I paid for 2 nights there, stayed to myself, didn’t complain about the bugs in the room or make a fuss, or the hairs that I found on the bed and yet still they weren’t willing to extend common courtesy or just being decent humans by allowing me to sit and wait for my ride without being made to feel unwelcome.. As far as guest service goes I would say NEEDS IMPROVEMENT and at best 1 star… and this Motel 6 is more expensive than most but definitely not worth the price they charge especially for being a “newer built property”
- Luis (6/5): - No shampoo!
- Rodney (8/5): - Very nice overnight stay. Clean and comfortable bed. Thankful for good parking and the small refrigerator in the room.
- Michael (6/5): Budget friendly - Nice family who runs the hotel, very affordable and the rooms has some nice upgrades (mirror in bathroom). Kelley’s restaurant right across the street, dominos pizza next door along with a Jack n the box close. Vending machines only. I did have to have my room card constantly rekeyed which was no a huge issue however inconvenience to say the least. Hotel is pet friendly but third floor only.
- David (6/5): - First of all, the Desk attendant seemed in a rush to get back behind the door that she came from after I rang the bell. Second, when we got to the second floor there was a very putrid smell. I’m assuming curry that overwhelmed the hallway and caused me to be sick at my stomach. The shower was moldy. The only good thing I can say is the beds were OK and comfy the room itself was clean and the free dog stay was also what drove me to book with your hotel.
- Amillia (10/5): Good comfy stay - Nice staff and clean rooms. Comfy beds. Will stay here again
- Kendell (10/5): - Great staff and clean quiet rooms. Plus there was no fee for my dog. Huge bonus!
- Steve (6/5): - It was very clean, quiet and i felt safe. the studio room was perfect size. laudnry room was clean. 7-3p desk clerk on the day I arrived was cold and gave me uncomfortable looks. The 3-7pm Desk person was GREAT. The Manager refused to fix my room key (It wouldn't work), yet the 3-7pm desk guy fixed it within seconds. THAT issue sucked.
- Angelo (8/5): - 😀
- Angelo (8/5): - Peaceful
- Paula (10/5): - Good location area by a Restaurant where the they have good food
- Wayne (6/5): - Sticky floors, dirty pillow case and stained sheet. Difficult to get fresh sheet and pillow case. Would not book again.
- Frank (6/5): - I have stayed here Twice. Once in February of 2025 and May of 2025. Both was for 2 nights.
DISLIKES:
The TV remote does not match the TV so you use the Channel up and down for Volume and the Volume up down for Channel up and down, and you are not told that before you enter the room. There is no Guide Button on the Remote. You must go up and down to find what you want to watch.
The internet works, but is you leave the Motel, or wake up the next morning you have to sign in again.
The Pillows on the bed were FLAT, and they have no extra pillows if you ask.
The bead spread cigarette burns.
The room was very clean, Bathroom was nice and has a fantastic mirror with 2 touch control for mirror lights and one for defogger. Parking is Great, Elevator across from Front Desk. There is a room with FREE coffee and vending machines. On one side is a Dominoes' Pizza, across is the is Kelly's Country Kitchen Diner and a Jack in the Box. Mini Fridge and Microwave worked great.
The TV on the last visit had a loose cable connection and was a pain. I had a ROKU box and used a HDMI cable. It was a pain login into the internet.
It took a few minutes for water to get how in the shower.
This might be too long, but informative I believe. Clean and quiet property.
- Steve (6/5): Need cleaning. Had bed bugs - The motel was new but won't stay that way if they don't do a better job of housekeeping.
1 bed has bed bugs. Hostess just remade the bed to rebook. Had black hairs in bed
2 give us another room. Floor was sticky
- Jerry (6/5): Clean, comfy and Rude AF - It was clean and comfortable. The front desk lady was obviously very annoyed to have to deal with me. She left her FaceTime connection on while she frustratingly dealt with me. Worst front desk person I’ve encountered in my thousands of stays.
- Diego (10/5): - Very clean
- Brenda (8/5): - Clean room
- Lyndsay (10/5): - It was a great location for what we needed. Unfortunately there was a lot of road works at the time and it wasn't always easy to get there.
- Angelo (8/5): - Location
- Angelo (6/5): - Location
- Hannah (2/5): - Ffgg
- Deaun (8/5): - We stayed the night before our cruise. It was very convenient, just off the highway, and only about 20 miles from Galveston. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
- Destiny (2/5): - Room was dirty. Bed was not maid. Garbage on the floor. Room was not cleaned after previous guest.
- Jerkeithia (6/5): - Air wasn't working
- Audrie (8/5): - It was worth it for the price. Everything was clean and staff even took care of something sentimental we accidentally left in the room at checkout. We were able to retrieve safely a few hours later. We will definitely book here again.
- Rene (2/5): Bed Bug City! - Place has bed bugs
- Ashley (4/5): - Clean nice hotel
- Billy (8/5): - Motel 6 is more modern .
- Kayla (2/5): - Paid for a queen and when i got there they only had double beds available
- Tameka (10/5): Great place to stay - I checked it to the hotel and receive my key. The room was not clean. I went back down to the be in a room desk and told her someone must be in a room because the bed was not made up she apologize and gave another key to the Room. It was clean. The only problem was it was a joint, room and I could hear the people next-door only for a little while, but besides that instead, a great location Kelly’s restaurant in walking distance. 45 is right next to it so it’s easy to access leaving out. I will stay here again because it was clean and accessible to get back-and-forth or whatever you’re going in the area.
- Rogelio (4/5): - Ok stay
- Clayton (2/5): - TV did not work, heater did not work, no hot water in shower. Worst place I’ve ever stayed. I’ll sleep in my truck before blowing money here again
- Debra (8/5): Basic but clean and comfortable - Very basic hotel that was very clean and conformabl3. No shampoo or conditioner.
- Zach (10/5): - Great place to stay
- jan (4/5): - It has a weird smell. My chilld felt something crawling on him. I actually went and requested linens to change sheets.
- Jabrea (10/5): - Very clean hotel.
- Guillermo (8/5): - Lack of cleanliness on doors, mirrors
- CHANTELLE (2/5): - We tried to precheck-in 2 weeks in advance for 12 rooms. The hotel informed us that they will be closed down for renovations during my time of stay during one of the largest rallies in the state. I called corporate and they said that they couldn't help. The night of our trip, they called at 1111pm wanting to charge me for my trip. They stated that i had to pay for 3 rooms and that they never canceled me. I do not trust them.
- Griffith (2/5): - Worst place i have ever been. No kleenex, refrigerator freezer had abiut 4 inches of ice top bottom and sides, not to mention the freezer doir falls off when you open the refrigerator door. No closet to hang clothes. Not very clean, just a bad experience all the way around.
- Fred (2/5): AVOID - Do not stay here.
We told them the ac didn't work and they called the cops and accused us of stealing a mirror off the wall and refused to show the police the camera footage which showed us walking out. They have a TV a the desk showing every camera, even the entrance.
- Jesse (4/5): - Unpleasent smell from the AC unit like a humid carpet smell. TV screen had a two vertical black lines, smoke detector was detached from the ceiling and just laid down by the tv. (that's a hazard and safety violation in my view). Odd thing is building looks new or remodeled but just not being properly maintain. Do not recommend.
- Gonzalo (10/5): - Good for the price
- Armando (10/5): - Ok
- DAYNA (10/5): - It was quiet and clean
- John (4/5): - We had a late check in because we were traveling. Arrived at 1:30am. We got to our already paid for room to find food, trash and someone had been sleeping in our room. Paid for a queen bed and got stuck with 2 doubles in a different room. Room was clean, but no shampoo and 1 tiny bar of soap. Will never stay there again. At least the girl (staff)tried!
- Debra (2/5): DON'T WATSTE YOUR MONEY! - Disgusting hotel room, horrible front desk service. Would not send my dog to this hotel. They price gouged during the hurricane.
- Tim (6/5): - Need to work on their maintenance, leaking air conditioner, 2nd room beeping smoke detector
- Lacresia (2/5): - I was charged for a reservation that was cancelled and they won’t return call or emails
- Glory (2/5): Bad and disappointing services - This is a scam. I booked a two night stay with this hotel. Be mindful when booking with them I arrived there late because of delays that night only to be told that they gave out my room. I was stranded as every hotel in that area were fully booked. They’re heartless. They simply said, we didn’t charge your card. So we gave out your room. It was ridiculous.
- Julie (2/5): - Smoke detectors were missing. Common coffee area was filthy. Would not recommend!!!!!
- Sivakiran (2/5): - We booked room couple of days back once we reach there they said they can find our booking we are on road at till 2am
- Haerul (6/5): - Cleanliness is average
- Deborah (8/5): - Quick and easy access to the highway and nearby to what we needed. Will probably stay here again.
- joshua w (10/5): - Always friendly and reasonable. Good place to stay
- Mary (2/5): - The rooms were dirty mold on shower curtain no toilet paper in the restrooms staff was rude and hateful
- Andy (10/5): - It was an excellent trip, the room served it's purpose. The bed wasn't super comfortable and the room smelled of floor cleaner but it was what we needed so we could go to the beach. We would stay again
- Cardon (4/5): - Dirty property
- Laura (10/5): - Excellent
- Rebekah (10/5): - We stayed at the Motel 6 on I-45 in Texas City with a group of friends. The property was easy to find and the check in process was easy and fast. The employees were nice. It was convenient to get to Galveston for our cruise.
- Kristian (10/5): - It was a good place to stay while in Houston it was clean and the staff was friendly.
- Angela (4/5): Uncalled for - We got disturbed at 5:30 pm. They knocked on our door to come in and do renovations. They shouldn’t be doing that when they have guests in the room. We drove all day and got undressed and was relaxing. Had to get up and get dressed and all they did was put up a towel rack.I got up next morning to make coffee and there was a used filter still in coffee pot. Then I went to take a shower and no shampoo or conditioner and also a used soap bar still in bathroom. Unsure if they even cleaned bathroom. I had another night booked but decided to cancel.
- lawanaj2024 (10/5): Check in - The motel 6 is very nice and the staff is friendly and sunny was very helpful at the front desk I would recommend anyone to stay at the ****************……************….*****
- mike (10/5): - good staff clean rooms
- Cimone (10/5): One of the best Motel 6’s Around - One of the better Motel 6’s I’ve stayed in EVER.
- Lawana (10/5): - When I come into for a few days I stay there the staff is friendly nice very helpful if you need anything while you’re are there.
- royvW7826OZ (10/5): Great place - Nice place, and the stuff are so friendly and accommodating. Rooms are well kept, the amenities were amazing. Not far from Galveston, which really allowed us to make our cruise at a convenient time………………………………………………………***** 5 starts!!!
- Carrol75431 (2/5): Booked a room and was bumped and would have had to rebook at significant price rise. - Made 2 reservations with this motel for upcoming Cruises in August 24, and December 24. The cost of each room before taxes was 62 dollars. I just checked on my reservations and the motel had cancelled them without notice and without contacting me. I checked to see how much rebooking the room was and the price had jumped to 116 dollars before taxes. The Motel canceled me and my brother's rooms to price gouge us or someone else. We booked rooms across the bridge at the motel 6 at Ave. J for 62 dollars as advertised. Do not book or stay at this motel!
- James (6/5): - Place smells like cigarettes everywhere. The carpets in the halls are filled with glitter
- 378sureshg (10/5): Affordable and budget friendly - Motel 6 offers simple and affordable rooms with the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay, such as a bed, a bathroom, and a television. While the rooms are generally clean and functional, they are designed to provide budget-friendly accommodation without many frills or luxuries.
- R6890XGcorinneg (10/5): Nice and Affordable Stay - Pets are free and was an affordable vacation for my little family. Front desk is also very friendly. Also I was able to check in a little bit early. The place is very quiet and clean. I recommend for anyone going on a trip with your fur babies. Will definitely stay here again!
- treveonem (10/5): Love this place - The front desk was very Very help! He help me check in early. And the took. Was very nice and clean. I love coming here everytime I need a place to stay it it a nice and beautiful location and I love the kinda smile and the friendly face that you get to see.
- Nataly (10/5): - Nice and clean, quiet place nice to stay the night. Domino's pizza next to the motel Kelley’s at the front.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very bad service - I booked two rooms. There was stuff in the toilet in one room and dirty sheets in the other. My reservation was for two rooms and they said I only booked one room so I had to get another at the desk then I was charged for three rooms.
- N4994BFjordanp (10/5): Great place to stay. - Awesome customer service. The place was very clean. Also I loved the location. It's very close to a lot of restaurants. Next time I'm in the texas city area I will definitely be staying here again. The staff was extremely polite and helpful..
- J2070QHemilym (10/5): The best! - Very nice place, very clean!! I would come back again!! Motel 6 is a place I would love to come with family and friends again if we need a place to stay! Good prices for 1 night. The people here are very nice and friendly. I recommend this place!! Y’all would definitely love it here! :)
- Shannan (4/5): - The bed was so hard and incredibly uncomfortable. No extra pillows. Dead and half dead bugs all over the room
- 814staciew (10/5): price friendly - Very quiet, price-efficient, very friendly front desk, and the fact the building is an interior motel 6 is excellent; this looks brand new compared to the other motel 6 I see. I want to thank Sunny at the front desk for meeting my accommodations. He placed me on the first floor due to my disability, and I appreciate him acknowledging that so much! I will be coming back!
- Glenda (4/5): - The air conditioning not working microwave dirty and smell bad mini fridge also dirty
- Rosie (2/5): Horrible Management - The bedding smells like they need to be washed. The restrooms need a good cleaning as well as the towles. I went to get some coffee, breakfast and sat in the lounge area with my earbusds and phone when I was approached by a man; black t-shirt, black shorts and black flip-flops. The man was asking me who I was, why was I sitting there and was I staying in the hotel; was very agressively. I asked him if he was an employee and what was his tiltle, stated that he was the manager/owner; did not have a name tag, hotel logo and was not dressed like someone whom was working ata hotel. I showed him my key card and it wasn’t enough for him he wanted to know my room number. He proceeded to demand what my room number was and stated that I might be a homeless person. At that point I let him know that I was a paying customer and his approach is very aggressive. His wife came out because I did raise my voice when he stated I may be homeless person. At no point did they apologize once they knew I was a customer. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!
- NUBIA (8/5): - .
- Verified traveler (6/5): Beware of Animal hold fee, might Not get it back - I was traveling with my dog, which was good accommodations, though it wasn’t the best of hotels it was the suffice, a problem I had was they charge a $40 animal deposit that was supposed of been refundable, they put a hold on my $40 and did not release it. Therefore I will be contacting them about my $40.
- Mobile03062192010 (10/5): all good - Sunny was more than helpful. Thumps up !!! rooms clean and comfortable. ********************* pets allowed, even my cat.#######!!!!!!#### has microwave and refrigerator that are like new######### has guest laundry. house keeping, excellent
- alex (2/5): - Got scammed, I booked through a third party site and got charged an extra $76 when checking in claiming it will be waived off. I was able to dispute it after 90 days. Then he tried to charge me extra $20 for arriving an hr early and told him I only had $7
- Sarah (4/5): - This place was needed only for sleeping and showering. The hotel attendant was kind. Hotel appears to be in a remodel? Paint smell. The room heater worked well. The grounds were lit and safe. Water temp and pressure were good. Very quiet. I don’t think I saw another person in the 4 days I was there but 10-15 vehicles were parked outside.
The room was strange. TV was mounted on a laminate structure and faced away from the bed. Not impossible but awkward to watch TV. The laminate was peeling/falling off the small dining table and the TV structure. The mini fridge was stored underneath the little dining table. When you sat down you’d kick the back of the fridge. Just odd.
All these things weren’t important as I just wanted to sleep and shower. They initially provided two bars of soap and a couple towels & wash cloths. Ok, I’ll work with that.
On the 2nd day they cleaned the room, made the bed, etc. Well, they took away our only two little slivers of soap and didn’t replace the dirty towels. Sheesh. I went down and could not find an attendant. My husband and I laughed about drying off with a shared hand towel. Not the end of the world, but worth noting for others.
Last Day… It was 7am and husband started loading stuff into the car, etc while I continued to get ready so, he didn’t lock the door manually from the interior. Suddenly a key card clicked and someone is walking in our room! Arrg. Maybe the attendant bringing towels and soap we need days ago? 😊
- Jason (8/5): - Hotel was clean. Staff was a bit abrubt & rude. Thete was a musty smell in the air. In building everywhere. It was ok for a quick overnight stay.
- Andrea (10/5): - Everything was nice and clean
- Jeffrey (6/5): Okay place to stay. - Got to the motel at about 4 PM to find that Ms. Patel (the owner) had cancelled my reservation on the 14 of October without letting me know. We stayed there on the 4th of November. When I asked the man there why she would do this, he said he didn't know. I said why don't you call and ask. He did but did not say what she said. He wanted to give me the room for the going rate and I told him I reserved the room in March and wanted the rate that was promised to me. He finally did it. The motel wasn't full so I guess she decided to give it to me for the price that I reserved it for. It is my speculation that this weekend was the Rally of Texas and she thought she could get more for the room than I had been charged. Other than that the stay was fine. The motel was clean and I had a good nights sleep. Don't think I will stay here again. Put a bad taste in my mouth. We stay in Galveston about every three months.
- Timothy (2/5): Stay away from motel 6 in Texas city - The room smelled like mold the refrigerator didn’t work they brought us a second one it was broke also the plug in the bathroom was broke the maid never came into the room in 7 days we had to get towels from the main desk please do your self a favor and stay away from this hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): Welcome to filth - Upon checkin, signs of poor costumer service were in play…two in my party and was given a single key…had to ask for another. Room keys failed to work and front desk clerk was unapologetic nor grateful I chose this place to stay!
Room was dirty…bathroom was filth, towels stained and appeared to be unsanitary.
No amenities, no coffee at times stated, very limited vending machine choices. Just no.
