- JIANSHU (10/5): nice -

Spacious room
Awesome breakfast
Good restaurant across the street
Staff very accommodating The rocks in the shower, there was a lot of hair in them
Pools needs chemicals daily, water was green
- Jennifer (8/5): -
- Marcela (8/5): - The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was large, comfortable and air conditioned. The swimming pool was great. The location was a bit of a way from the main area of Ubud. Too close to take a taxi but close enough to walk, although walking was very dangerous as there are no sidewalks for part of the journey and there is a lot of traffic on an extremely narrow road.
- ANNA (8/5): - La anfitrión era muy amable y servicial. La piscina estaba muy bien. No me gustaron los green pancakes.
- John (9/5): -
- MICHELLE (10/5): Amazing - Big Thankyou to Made, her and her team made our stay amazing, friendly caring and always had a smile. Breakfast was very good, all cooked by Made
Room was big and bed was very comfortable. Short walk to Main Street in Ubud. Thankyou for the new memories of our wonderful holiday adventure.
Much Love

- Mai (10/5): Miracle - Wayan and her family were very kind and friendly. They provided so much support for my trip and it was more than just a place to stay. I would definitely stay here again when I come to Ubud. Nothing
Colazione ottima in stile balinese. Consigliatissimo Non trovo difetti
- alexandra (10/5): -
- Mauro (7/5): Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo abbastanza vicino ad ubud. Sicuramente sorrisi balinesi e gentilezza a gogo! - Ottima accoglienza tipica Balinese sempre sorridente e disponibile.
- Jose-Maria (9/5): Excelent Villa, great hospitality - Hospitalidad del personal
- Ohana (7/5): Good location - Location walking distance to centre but far enough away to escape
- Yevgeniy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellen (9/5): Beautiful stay - The villa was very spacious and clean, in a beautiful surrounding. The owners were amazing and the breakfast was delicious. We can’t wait to stay again! Nothing
- Aditya (6/5): Pleasant -
- Irina (10/5): Clean and nice but difficult to find location. -
- Meg (10/5): Fun at Darra Ria ubud - had a beautiful stay at this small beautiful homestay . only 4 rooms and very quiet
- Almudena (10/5): Great villa with amazing pool - Beautiful peaceful property with an amazing pool. Hosts are very friendly and cool delicious fresh breakfast every day 😊
- Ni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Salah (10/5): Exceptional - The staff are so friendly and helpful
- Rhys (8/5): Very good -
- Halvorson (10/5): As a solo traveler I was very comfortable staying here. The place is beautifully kept and extremely clean. - Beautiful property and villas. Very clean. Very kind family
- Yujie (9/5): Superb -
- Kim (9/5): Peaceful stay amidst the business of Ubud - I loved the pool area and the room was big with a semi-outside bathroom. Breakfast was fab with different options every day cooked fresh. Location was a 10 minute walk down the road to the Main Street . Very quiet and peaceful in the midst of a very busy tourist area Though cleaned daily - the bathroom area could do with a deep clean and the curtains were a bit mouldy. These were minor things in the overall of the place though
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roberto (10/5): A perfect stay, quiet and absolutely relaxing - A hidden gem, a quiet private villa a few minutes walk from downtown, very caring staff, comfortable amenities Nothing
- Vladimíra (10/5): Clean and nice accommodation - Clean, big rooms. Very nice and helpful staff. Location was good, we also rented scooter here. Wifi didn’t work
- Adele (9/5): Superb - Myself and family loved this place. The whole experience of living near the rice field, the animals and location. The pool was a bonus, we spent many hours relaxing here! Rooms are large and the bed is comfortable and the bedding is spotless. The property could do with a little maintenance. There is so much potential here.
- Alexandra-i (8/5): A very good experience - The location is nice, big room, they clean every day, the breakfast was good, the pool is clean and cool. As a suggestion, it would be nice to make small repairs in the rooms, to make them look better, and to repair the pool floor.
- Dumi (10/5): Lovely Place - Everything was really good!
- Lucia (10/5): Excellent stay - My family and I loved our stay at this property. Everything was amazing , the hosts even offered us to buy the cheap tickets to watch the Balinese dance show just a few meters from the accomodation, out of the crowding in town. The location is perfect and the hosts are super lovely people.
- Julie (9/5): Superb - Nice pool, big bedroom, comfy beds. Nice terrace.
Nice location, quiet, you can hear the road just a tiny bit, with earplugs it's fine.
Friendly staff. We could rent a scooter easily.
15-20min walk to town, 3 min by Moto taxi, but it's great to be far away from the business of the centre. Restaurants nearby. The Airco blows the air out into the bathroom so it was very very hot in there...
There are roosters around, bring some earplugs.
- April (8/5): Very good - Nice big room No fridge
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet, great location. Wayan is an excellent host looking after guests and helping with local information
- Chantelle1000 (1/5): Poor communication - Nothing, we didn't stay at the Darra Villa Ubud. They were overbooked and put us in a room in a different location. They could've let me know there were no more rooms so that I had the choice to book alternative accommodation
- Gregor (8/5): We very much enjoyed our stay at Darra Ria, good value. - We liked very much the friendliness and helpfulness of our host Wayan and her staff. They were great. The pool was lovely, although another sunlounge or two would have been nice. The breakfasts provided by Wayan were very good too. The room was fine, although a second easy chair would have been a bonus. The wifi was excellent, and the hot water service very good. And the air-conditioning in our room was excellent. Only down sides are the location is a bit on the edge of Ubud - good for quietness, not so good for ease of access although Grab was always available - and a fridge in the room would have been nice, although we were able to access the fridge in reception.
- Maria (10/5): Good to relaxing - Simple and comfort Everything is good
- Hanna (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was good with lots of fresh fruit and prepared always on time. Location a bit off centre but quiet and easy to get taxi. Plenty of little restaurants on same road. The hosts were so friendly and very helpful in everything, laundry service, extra towels, tickets fot Kecak dance etc. Property was kept very clean. The rooms were clean but the property was a bit run down. Especially the bathroom could have benefited from a makeover.
- Yngve (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent value for money, the staff were super friendly, and the villa was large. Since there are only a few villas at the property it almost feels like you have your own private pool. The staff were helpful with everything you needed for booking activities and giving recommendations to what to see and do. The location is a bit outside of Ubud centre, but for us that was great. The area was nice and quiet and we only used 10 minutes to walk to the city. It is also super easy to get motorbike transport if you dont want to walk
- Prusias (7/5): Still good for the price but need maintenance sooner or later... - + Nice big clean room
+ Good aircon
+ The bedsheets and towals everything smells nice like flowers
+ Kind and smiling staff
+ Restaurants and little shops nearby
+ Breakfast ist ok. The fruit platter was nice.
+ The view from the Main glasdoor looks green and well cared
+ Price quality performance is ok but...
o The area where the hotel located is ok, you will walk maybe 10 minutes to arrive the main street where everything is interesting is. - My Villa was no. 2. The walls and windows are badly soundproofed. So if someone outside or in the other Villa speaks, laughs, farts you can hear everything well. If someone smokes outside it comes inside. The main glasdoor is leaky mosquitos and other insects can easily come inside.
- No maintenance in the bathroom. Around the toilette was always wet something was leaky and the ceiling is falling apart. The water hose for cleaning has too much pressure, the water splashes everywhere. The bathroomdoor is leaky so mosquitos have no problem to pass. The glasdoor in the bathroom is fully calcified.
- The pool area looks nice but the wood ground area needs maintainance because the boards begin to break already (dangerous). The poolwater surface will cleaned everyday but inside the pool the walls are green and not cared.
-Basically all employees were nice to me but something strange was happen. I rented a scooter directly in house. I must mention that they work with a motorbike rental from outside. The first scooter had a problem with the brakes. They changed it immediately. The second scooter was older than the first one. The breaks was ok but the engine was weak. I gave the scooter back in total after 3 days to the young staff the boss was not at the desk but mostly the young staff was there. The staff looked they have everything under control but obviously I was mistaken. They charged me for 4 days because the young worker "forgot" to tell the boss that I don't need the scooter anymore. The key I gave on time after breakfast to the hand of the young worker and the helmet I putted in on the desk. This is not acceptable and not professional because in total they manage only 4 rooms/Villas they are not that busy. The managing family lives close to the desk. In fact for me it's not because the money but they made a mistake but for the boss it was my fault and the dump tourist must pay for it.
- Roy (9/5): Superb - It's a really quiet place and staff welcomed us with juice when we arrived. The room was very clean. The pool is also very clean. The breakfast is also very nice. nothing.
- Laini (10/5): Lovely oasis in great location - Breakfast was lovely and a nice chance to try local dishes. It was lovely talking with Wayang each morning and all the other nice staff members - including the neighbourhood cat that loved cuddles.
The rooms were big and clean with comfy beds and hot showers. The each came with a mosquito repellent vaporiser and fresh bottled water provided daily. Wi-Fi was very reliable.
The location was 15 minute walk to the main street of Ubud but there were restaurants, convenience stores and salons all closer meaning it was very easy to avoid being stuck in traffic. The distance meant the villa was quiet and peaceful at night.
Our group booked 3 out of the 4 rooms at the villa and had the place to ourselves the whole 5 days and enjoyed the pretty gardens, rice fields and lovely pool. The staff offered and organised an airport transfer for a reasonable 400000 Rupiah which was appreciated.
Would love to stay again! The TV could only show Indonesian channels (naturally), but there was no way to cast from your own device if you wanted to stream something.
A mini fridge in the rooms would be nice to store left overs or water or beauty products that melt in the heat (the staff did let us use the main fridge in reception though).
Some teabags or instant coffee would be appreciated in the rooms to go with the kettle & mugs.
Showers had quite the outdoorsy/jungle feel with mossy walls - we found this charming but may be irksome to others.
- Ihsaan (10/5): it was a nice place ti saty - like the location, staff very helpful and nice… none
- Parent (9/5): Excellent cost/benefit, great Indonesia experience - All nice, friendly staff, pleasant environment, nice breakfast, ideal location of you want peace and proximity to action, solution-oriented staff A fridge in the room would be nice.
- Gene (10/5): Exceptional - Parking, 24hr pool, beautiful! Far from downtown to walk
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Sandip (7/5): If shower area was tiled and if there was a mini refrigerator in the room the rating would be bette - 2 shops/convenient stores and some restaurants,a few meters from property.
Everything was clean till you reached the shower area. Breakfast very basic.
Shower area,NOT TILED,looked quite dirty.the whole floor had Moss on it.
No fridge in room.
15 to 20 mins ,walk from main road.
- Jasmine (8/5): Very good - the host was friendly, good english speaking. always cleaned room everyday. the discounted price matches the room and pretty location is good. the bidget was leaking and little ants but cant blame to much as its a humid place surronded by rice field.
- Ak (1/5): Bad -
- Vlad (10/5): great experience for a fantastic price - good location in the more tranquil area of Ubud. parking space for the scooter; spacious rooms and bathrooms; nice big pool.
the staff is super helpful and kind and do their best to make you feel good!
- Amber (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was delicious, room was spacious and staff were very friendly Due to the humidity in Ubud the room felt a little bit damp
- Lucian (9/5): Superb -
- Iuliamilea (10/5): Perfect place to stay - Loved the cat! We called him Whiny and miss him so much! Hopefully the next guests will take care of him too:)
Loved how spacious the room was, the terrace, breakfast omelettes were great and the pool perfect. Nothing really.
- Leslie (10/5): Without question, when I return to Bali, this is where I'll go. They make you feel at home. :) - The hosts were exceptionally kind and above-and-beyond hospitable. Plus, the property is lush and well-maintained—and you even get a taste of the tropics with that indoor/outdoor shower. A special touch! I have no complaints. :)
- Petra (10/5): Comfortable, clean and beautiful stay - Staff is very helpful and nice. The Villa is near from the center. Around are many small restaurants. WiFi is good, but sometimes was slower (I think because of weather)
- Sandro (7/5): Cosy place with spacious rooms. Good for family. - We enjoy the cordiality, spacious rooms, privacy, and assistance from the team. We enjoy the swimming pool area although the photos of the background are currently different from what was found on the booking. We suggest keeping the photos as similar as possible to the current aspects. Limited breakfast options and need to pay for any unit extra item (i.e. one extra pancake, omelette or milk). The shower area should be cleaned daily; if you're not using flips, your foot will be dirty after leaving.
- Rolan (10/5): Will stay again - Quiet, clean and friendly.
Close to town.
Great family
Cute Cat Nothing
- Artur (10/5): Quite, clean, beautiful view, nice pool, great stuff - Very quite and beautiful place. Just 4 separate houses, enough big pool, nice and relaxing garden view. No noise from the road / motorbikes / cars. But at the same time close to the center (3 min bb y bike). Bike rental if needed. I had option with breakfast included, was tasty and customizable.
Very-vety nice owners and stuff. Had great experience communicating with.
Internet speed and connection reliability was moderated. So if you have no need in stable high-quality video streaming, it should be generally ok.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - how helpful the staff was. Needed a fridge as the closest shop was 15 minutes walk. Tv wasn’t working.
- Adrian (8/5): Good Place to spend nights - The host is very friendly and the villa is near to ubud center. The bed squeaked very much and the mattress was a little bit too hard.
- Petra (9/5): Superb - The villa is located in a queit part of Ubud, right next to rice fields away from the busy, noisy roads.
But only 15 mins walk from the main road.
Perfect little touch the mosquito repellent in the room. The pool could have been a bit cleaner. Staff should have more information about Ubud and attractions.
- Valentina (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - The owner(Wayang) was exceptionally helpful, very friendly. His wife was so sweet. Cooking all our breakfast. The staff are so friendly. We hav fun staying there.
- Shima (10/5): Exceptional - Ok good the room was very big
Near shops lot and restaurants cafe Nothing
- Paul (10/5): Great stay and value for money, definitely coming back - Nice pool, staff and rooms was hard to find when arriving at night
- Aishs (6/5): Pleasant - the setting of the villa amongst small rice fields and well maintained gardens was delightful. the limescale watermarks in the toilet and shower partition were upsetting and with a bottle of bleach or some other eco friendly product could easily be removed.
breakfast was a strange set up.we ordered fruit, juice and omelete.we were given one small plate of fruit and one glass of fruit juice between the two of us.it seems one person couldn't have both!
Also the kettle and cups were in the bathroom.Cups with tea/coffeestains.
- Melisa (10/5): Exceptional - loved the friendly staff, they were so welcoming and helped us a lot. room was super super clean, very spacious and modern. we loved the pool and the surrounding rice fields. staff helped us to organise scooters. location was amazing, just a quick ride to the city, but very quiet!
- Abby (10/5): absolutely perfect, lovely place, we already miss it - everything was absolutely perfect, the staff were so lovely and so accommodating, the pool was perfect and the area was lovely, the rooms were so big and so clean and tidy, the bathroom was so clean and big, the balcony area was really nice too. there was a power cut for about half an hour which can’t be helped, but the staff were so helpful and came straight away to see if we needed any lights or torches, can’t fault the place at all. we would love to stay here again. best accommodation we have stayed at, and we’ve stayed in multiple across Bali 🫶🏼 nothing it was perfect we would definitely stay here again!
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional - I loved this place. The location was great, 15-20 minutes walk to the city center. There is a supermarket 1 min away in case you need fruits or water, and a really nice cafe in the jungle across the road.
Villa is surrounded by the rice fields, very pleasant view, very green, quiet at night.
The room was spacious, good air conditioner. Hosts are very friendly, they made us feel home. We had delicious breakfast in the morning, and we could choose from different options. If I am every again in Ubud I'll definitely stay here again.
- Enrico (9/5): Superb - Wayan, the owner, is fantastic and she cooked amazing breakfast.
Awesome swimming pool Nothing really
- Tchatski (8/5): Very good - Quiet. Clean. Good bed. Breakfast by your choice. And incredibly friendly hosts. Love.
- Baris (8/5): Lovely apartment in the middle of the rice fields - Nice big apartment, super friendly staff. Tasty and fresh breakfast every morning. The busy center of Ubud was reachable within a 15 min walk or a 3 min cab drive. It would be nice if they offered a fridge with some drinks (cold beers). The breakfast could have been a bit more, maybe upsell by asking 15k per extra requested menu item?
- Oliv_n (10/5): Highly recommended - Unexpected luxury.
Beautiful guesthouse surrounded by rice fields. A nice refreshing pool set in a pleasant garden.
The room was big. Nice mattress and linen. Partly open air bathroom. Breakfast is served on the private patio.
The family is so lovely. Very kind. Beautiful smiles.
The location was perfect. 5 min by scooter to the busy and crowded center of Ubud. It was nice to be away from the noise and the constant traffic.
We wanted to stay more but unfortunately they were sold out.
- Andreas (7/5): Good -
- Ekaterina (10/5): Very good place to stay! - Very good place to stay! Highly recommend.
Sweet and kind family who own the villa, always is ready to help you. Neat the villa you can find good product store and few nice restaurants. The nearest one can also deliver food to your place (for free).
Breakfast was also nice, you can choose from various options (btw coffee is good).
Room is clean and quite big. The territory of villa is calm and very beautiful with a view of rice fields.
Very nice place! Not enough lighting in the bathroom in front of the mirror, but it can be a priblem only if you want to make a make up 😁
- Zoe (6/5): good for a short stay, clean, comfortable and good base to see more of Bali - large room and large bathroom very basic
- Artem (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was really cool.
Staff was very friendly
Breakfast was very very tasty
Wi-FI worked very good. So we were able to work
Good location Nothing. Everything was perfect
- Alina (2/5): - The worst we have booked in our life.
- Adelle M (10/5): Homestay with Heart - My husband and I booked a room in the Darra Ria Villa Ubud for 5 nights. During this time, the Coronavirus had started its deadly global spread. We are Canadians living and working in China and had just arrived in Bali Jan 19th, 2020. We decided to cancel all of our travelling plans/flights/hotels and stay put at the Darra Ria Villa. We are so happy that we did! This place was a haven. The owner Wayan and her family are lovely. They knew our situation and helped us to stay longer by lowering the nightly cost by a lot. We were able to stay for an extra 20 nights. The service was impeccable. They cleaned our room daily, brought us free treats and homemade food. Wayan brought me herbal drinks for my Bali Belly. She even offered to bring us to the local food market in early mornings to pick up fresh fruits. We were able to use the kitchen and make our own food. The pool, omg the pool was incredible! They made sure it was always clean for us. The area is great, away from the craziness but close to anything. Turn right at the driveway and go to Pure Bali for a breakfast bowl and fresh coconut water, and go to Keida Bubuh local restaurant for cheap eats on a rice field. Also, look up Green Kubu cafe which has stunning views. Turn left and find Our fav is WarungCandra 2 and Warung Makan Vanda. There is also a grocery store called Pepitos and Delta. Only downside is the noise. Local farmers are annoying with loud lawnmowers and the Roosters all day! Regardless we loved our stay.
