Guest Reviews
- Alfred (10/5): - Nice place
- thomas (10/5): - Perfect.
- Christina (10/5): - I loved the easy access to the property. No one bothered us. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Walkable to everything. I would definitely stay here again.
- Thomas B (10/5): Great location; great space - This was a nice place. The location was great— near enough that everything is easy to get to but far enough away to not be overly chaotic and noisy. Super spacious rooms with a great kitchen
- Samuel (8/5): roomy apartment for a long stay - Great location - close to the french quarter, but not on a busy street. Having an apartment allowed us to spread out and the giant kitchen island was nice. Weird bathroom configuration, but overall a serviceable landing spot. I wish the couch had been comfier and the bed had more pillows, but for the price and location, I would recommend.
- Clemon (10/5): Nice - Loft was very clean snd nice
- alexandria (4/5): - The pros: location, the size of the unit, the quick responsiveness to messages by the property staff.
Cons:
Front door was often open and not locked.
Mattress was hard and very uncomfortable, stains on the sheets, stains on the extra blanket.
There are multiple holes in the walls which have not been patched.
The ceiling fan is broken and the remote holder is falling off the wall.
The frame to the closet is broken and the closet doors don't shut.
The bathroom doors don't shut.
It's a weird vibe, cozy is not what I would call it. My husband described it as an Eastern European hostel.
We booked last minute so that's on us.
Hopefully they can get these fixed because it could be cozy if there was some better art and a couple of rugs, and the items above were addressed.
- Warren (10/5): One stop stay is all you need. - Great location for staying. Walking distance to all areas, French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Canal Street is one block away. Amazing breakfast place right across the street called Ruby Slipper. Few minutes walk to the River and Casino Cesar’s Palace and The Vue of New Orleans. Little conscience store just north of canal street for snacks and drinks.
- Maria pia (8/5): Very good except communication - The place was very good, as the pictures. Very good location Only one window. But ok to pass time outdoors.
We couldn’t get communication till the last morning , when we were leaving
- Byron (2/5): - I was very unhappy about the condition of this property, It was miserable, so miserable that after the first night we left the unit and never returned, we booked a Ten day stay and and left after the first night, yes I am very unhappy, it was Thanksgiving and my birthday celebration what a disappointment
- Laurel (8/5): - Excellent location. Had a few issues with lighting in the condo, bedside lamp would not work plugged into the bedside plug, had to plug across the room. Netflix was not up to date so could not use it.
- Jody Michael (8/5): - The patio was in a bit of disrepair, as was the tub and the hardwood floors (Which could use a good cleaning)
- Brian (8/5): - After I figured out I had to complete an ID verification form before I could get my entry code it was fine. Condo was nice and roomy with a nice patio. Close to everything!
- Richard (10/5): Great place to stay! - This was the 2nd time we had stayed here and it was great. The rinse cycle did not work on the washer, which made the clothes very wet, but the dryer did get them dry. The streaming for the TV was very poor. Not a big issue as we found a sports bar to watch the game Saturday night. There was someone in the hotel smoking pot, because everytime we got on the elevator, we could smell it. Still a great place to stay and we will be back our next trip to New Orleans.
- Anastasia (8/5): - Overall enjoyed my stay! There is some age/wear that should be fixed. Like the tub enamel is peeling. Walls could use a wipe. Nothing that negatively affected my stay. I loved how much space there was! Know that you do hear the city, but you will in most places in/around the FQ.
- Pam (8/5): - Good location. Clean both in condo and halls etc
- Brittany (4/5): - My room wasn’t clean when I checked in
- Angela (10/5): - It was good
- Tami (8/5): - Overall ok
- Earl (10/5): - I really like the place, but wish yall can give a discount for parking
- Aaron (6/5): - The unit itself is very vanilla but clean and conveniently located. When we arrived there was what looked like toothpaste stains on the mirror but everywhere is was clean and neat. The real problem began on day 2 when the fire alarm went off... and then proceeded to go off 13 more times during our stay. On day 3 the alarm started going off at 7:30 am.
- Bradley (8/5): - Room was in okay condition had to clean the counters and fridge upon arrival loading dock across the road is kind of loud in the mornings other than that it was very comfortable and spacious.
- Scott (10/5): - Went for Jazz Fest. Was looking at hotels a bit outside of town but happy we paid the extra to stay here. Right on the edge of the French Quarter, great location. Nice to have full fridge/stove/washer/dryer. Side note: Be careful on Bourbon Street! We had our wallet and cell phone stolen.
- Kristine (6/5): - Mattress was very uncomfortable
- Brett (2/5): - I want my money back. The property wqs not ready to go and I had to find other accommodations.
- Wilfrido R (4/5): - Other than location this place offers little. There are no place to put your clothes, not a single drawer in the bedroom, three hangers in the closet, your luggage had to be in the floor since there was no place to put it other than that. The furniture at the dinning room and living room is uncomfortable and of poor quality. The kitchen is nicely appointed.
- Jared (10/5): - Nice large unit. Very spacious.
- Frédéric (8/5): - very well located and close to everything
- Keith (6/5): Lacking towels and clothes detergent - Two people had reservations at the condo for 6 days and 5 nights. We were provided just 3 towels and TWO washcloths. If you're not going to provide adequate towels, then provide clothes detergent so the few items provided can be washed and reused.
- crystal (6/5): - The bed was extremely hard and very squeaky. Sleeping was uncomfortable, I had a difficult time sleeping
- Dontae (8/5): - If you’re looking to stay close to Bourbon St and Canal St then this is a good place to stay. The condo was clean and provided us with everything we needed. Water pressure is a little low and the couch in the living room is not very comfortable. There is no tv in the bedroom if you like to sleep with the tv on. WiFi kept going out so we had to keep unplugging the tv and plugging it back in. Other than that I think this was a good stay and I would stay again. No need for a rental car staying here! We had to pay for parking everyday and didn’t really drive our rental.
- edward (2/5): - The place has mice… the furniture is trash , the place overall was nasty
- Tim (6/5): Only good for a good location - The hotel was spacious but needed painting...walls and trim was ditry.... ac vents were very dirty. Pillows need to be replaced....skylight in bedroom was like daytime all day and night.... very very loud neighbors...the walls are thin....we made the most of the stay but i dont think i would choose this hotel again....
- Sara (8/5): - This property is great. Close to the French quarter and riverside. It was clean and we felt safe.
- Ralph (6/5): - The bed is very poor. It is very uncomfortable and creaks. Shower head needs replacement. Kitchen is very minimally stocked. Sofa also is extremely uncomfortable and ripped. Good location.
- Dan (6/5): - Superb location and charming building. Able to walk to all locations visited: Superdome (just under 1 mile); French Quarter, Waterfront and surrounding Central Business District restaurants. Only negative wast the bed and sofa were not as comfortable as I would like or expect. The kitchen was very nice and well equipped.
- Teresa (10/5): - The Condo is in excellent condition. Close to main attractions. I wish I could have stayed longer.
- sonja d (8/5): - Enjoyed the stay in the building.. It was too noisy outside
- Patrick (8/5): - Wonderful view. Perfect location.
- Sara (8/5): - We really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: even though we arrived 45 minutes past checkin the apartment wasn’t ready for us and we had to wait 15-20 minutes for cleaners to finish. No blinds on the window. Furniture wasn’t very comfy.
Pros: Amazing location! Safe. Easy to get to. Probably quieter than anywhere in the French Quarter. Lots of space. Great kitchen area.
- Luther (10/5): - I like the fact it was out the way but just right on location. Was in the middle of everything and walking distance to everything. Air conditioning was a little loud but very manageable. Super clean. The roof top was awesome as well.
- Blair (8/5): - The property was just as described. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was excellent and the water temp in the shower was nice and hot. The space was large and roomy. The access to the building and room was easy and the building felt safe. We were in walking distance of a lot of places which was convenient. The only thing that was a little bit annoying was you can hear the people in the room above you when they walk around and roll luggage across the floor. There was a little noise outside but nothing more than was expected being in New Orleans.
- Laurentiu (10/5): - Location, close to everything, clean, safe. I would recommend to everyone.
- Adrian (10/5): - The property was really nice, as well as the customer service I received. I stayed in room 703. My ONLY issue was the skylight directly over the bed, and no way to close it. Once the sun came up, the entire bedroom was bright, and full of sunlight. This is not a bad thing, just very hard to sleep. It did irritate me a bit, I wasn't furious only because it wasn't going to change during my stay. I spent the new 2 nights on the couch since it was a bit darker in the living room. That was my only complaint. Fix skylight in the bedroom, and I think it would have been a perfect stay. Or, maybe it can be for the next person. If I return, I'd love this room again, but might consider a lower floor based on this.
Thank you,
AM
- Toya (10/5): - It wasn't as expensive as a hotel stay and it also was more convenient with more to offer than a hotel stay. Very peaceful and spacious
- Tori (2/5): Declined us when we got there!! - Called to get how to get in and they told me that they don’t rent to locals which we wasn’t because we came from Baton Rouge !! It was 5 in the morning and no where’s to go at last minute.
- Daniel (10/5): - I want to thank you guys for saving my lif. I was drugged with something. I've never done before and housekeeping found me and I'm so sorry for them. Finding me that way it was not self inflicted but they did save my life and I appreciate every bit of it thank your staff
- Joseph (8/5): - able to walk every where , Couch sucks rock hard , dryer ate shirts :(
- Joel De La (10/5): - Very spacious, very well worth the value.
- Alberto (6/5): Dishwasher - Unfortunately there was an incident and even if we received attention, the situation was not sufficiently solved. I think the place need more attention for guests since there is no person to ask for information and requests remain without response (except for the horrible incident that I prefer not to mention here)
- Kent D (6/5): - Clean, everything worked well. :) I will suggest three cheap and easy improvements: Replace the shower head, as the lack of water pressure keeps you close to the wall! Add a dozen hangers to the closet. Add some real bowls to the kitchen dishes. The major problem is the automotive and motorcycle noise between 11 pm and 3 am. One expects nightly "people noise" late in New Orleans. What killed the stay for me was the engine revving, horn blasting, and speed exhibitions in the wee hours every morning. I got less than 5 hours of sleep each night for thirteen days. If you can overcome this, the location and property are excellent.
- Frankie (6/5): - walls need new paint. mildewed washer. blinds were broken. Dusty and floors needed mopping. I'm not even exaggerating.
- Dean (6/5): - The apartment was fine overall and the location was great, but the building was INSANELY loud. I understand that’s it’s in a busy city center area, but there is obviously zero insulation. We could hear every conversation and every step going on in the apartments around us. It was so alarming, we woke up multiple times thinking someone was in our unit. The floors are also super thin so the people above you sound like elephants tromping around. We got zero sleep our entire stay. It’s a shame because the unit itself is pretty decent overall.
- Aisha (10/5): - We needed a place to stay for one night last minute during Mardi Grad weekend. Really glad we found Cozy Condos - the price and proximity to the French Quarter were comparable to the Airbnb we stayed in the 4 days prior. There’s not really any parking, but we were already parked in a public garage about 1.5 blocks from the condo, so it worked out perfectly. The walls are a bit thin and it’s pretty close to the parade route, so there’s medium amount of noise, but if your stay is not during Mardi Gras, I imagine there’s a significant difference in noise level. The couch in the living room was not comfortable, but other than that, we were overall, pretty pleased with the space.
- herman (4/5): - It was convenient.
Items in the apartment were broken, rust in refrigerator, poorly flushing toilet, weak shower water pressure etc.
The space felt neglected.
- Leslie Marie (10/5): - We stayed in one of the penthouse condos, and that was a perfect place to stay. It was quiet, well appointed, and the Hosteva staff was excellent when our flight was canceled and we had to extend our stay one night. The property is close to so much that New Orleans has to offer!!
- Vanessa (6/5): - Great location. There was no hangers in the closet or dresser to put clothes in. It was also the least sound proof place I’ve ever stayed in.
- William (2/5): - items stolen out of the room. poor security.
- Tuan Anh (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay. It is true what others have said about the smell of urine in the hallway, but my accomodation was in the unit, which was quite nice and in a great location. The passcode to the room did not work, so I called support and the code was reset. Minor inconvenience. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- Jeffery (8/5): - Positives were very positive-affordable, walkable to Quarter and streetcar line, convenient basic amenities, safe, room was clean. Negatives may be a challenge for some travelers-units aren't soundproof to modern expectations, bed not comfortable to hotel standard, only one bedside table, some simple maintenance issues with our room. Water was hot, full fridge was cold. We had a great time in NOLA and got what we paid for.
- Amanda (8/5): - The apartment and accommodations available were very nice. The only exception is the couch definitely should be replaced due to wear and tear. The communication with the manager was very good, the location is very close to a lot of key sites. I’d recommend this as a good place to stay for couples
- Leong (8/5): - The condition of the condo was ok, the blinds was broken with a missing pieces and definitely could use some cleaning. WiFi was out for a day or two out of the four. The best part about the condo is it has plenty of space for two. The sliding door that leads to the balcony also leads to the rooftop. Able to see a little bit of everything along with the sun rise over part of the Mississippi.
- Letisha (10/5): - Things didn’t go as planned but I appreciate the communication and help. Overall I would stay again. Beautiful condo, amenities, close to everything worth walking to and customer care was always responsive and available.
- Demitris (8/5): - Close to canal street. Access to everything
- David (10/5): - I stay here on most of my travels to New Orleans. You know what you are getting. A clean comfortable place to stay with no hassles.
- Kacey (6/5): - Overall a great location. I tried to get in touch with the owner as we didn’t have a TV remote. Never received a response for duration of stay. The bed was hard, pillows completely flat and a huge sunlight coming into the bedroom. The space was full of sunlight by 7 am so if you want to sleep in avoid the penthouse apartment.
- Irenaues (8/5): - It is very good property - very nice and quite. I do like it very much!
- Abriel (2/5): - Roaches
- Domonique (8/5): - I'm a chef so it was nice to have all cooking utensils, tub was nice and deep, only thing is the skylight in bedroom is beautiful but it's so bright for a daytime nap, and couldn't watch YouTube or Netflix because internet wasn't connecting, otherwise location was extremely convienant and checkout was very easy.
- Heather (2/5): - Elevator smelled of urine
Hallways smelled of urine
Loft stinks so bad that I had to purchase a candle to tolerate the smell
The furniture is cheap and hard to the touch, very uncomfortable there were times that I couldn’t get a good night sleep and to make matters worse but on the last night of my stay another couple apparently that was staying in the loft above had the same key code entry and entered the loft, unbelievable. When I called Hosteeva customer service the agent said it must of been housekeeping as if I couldn’t distinguish the difference. Awful stay.
Do not waste your money
- Donald (10/5): - I liked the closeness of everything. You didn't have to walk far before you was in the middle of all the shops, restaurants, entertainment, and and French Market. The only thing I didn't like was the parking. It was very close to the building and very expensive as well.
- Tina (10/5): - Great location very nice
- Jessica (4/5): Worst uncomfortable stay - I don’t even know where to start. First of all the nearest parking was $40 a day. You couldn’t miss the entrance to the penthouse we stayed in because of the huge yellow dumpster out front. The small lobby area to the elevator did have a pleasant scent. But once you made it to the 7th floor you had watch your step because of the dog crap tracked through the hallway that stayed there throughout our 4 day stay. Inside the penthouse was clean. There was a very nice big kitchen and bathroom. The living area was also very spacious. There was only a small very cheap made couch which wasn’t even a real pull out sofa. Very uncomfortable. The bedroom had no tv but the living room did have a nice size tv in it. So we ended up pulling the mattress into the living room and sleeping on the floor. The mattress was also cheap and uncomfortable. There were enough towels for our stay but not enough wash cloths. Washer and dryer inside bathroom. The rooftop patio was not in the best shape and is not private. And the view was definitely not the city view that we were hoping for. Will not ever stay here again. It was close to Canal Street and Bourbon Street. The ruby slipper café is across the street and also the chophouse which we ate at our last night there.
- Jenelle (6/5): - This property requires a multi-verification process prior to check-in. I appreciate the added security while staying at a location with no staff onsite. The link sent to me to upload pictures of documents (ID) & a selfie for verification did not work. I had to reach out to the 24/7 number listed for additional assistance.
The agency was quick to have someone work with me on getting my documents uploaded for. This was after 8pm and I tried multiple times to upload my documents with no luck as each upload would take me back to the main menu. Frustrating at the time but was resolved quickly.
The location is GREAT! It's in an area with upscale boutique and chain hotels in a safe area. . 10-15 minute walk to the Riverwalk Shops & Casino. 25-30 min walk to Canal/Bourbon Street, Jackson Square Park and the French Quarter. Plenty of restaurants near here.
My room was SO spacious! Very open, bright and clean. Couple of notes: Huge window in living room area backed up to alley of other establishments with box trucks beeping loudly and workers unloading deliveries taking breaks. Would be nice if there was some sort of window covering or shade to block the view of people in the alley. Each time I stood up, people in the alley would immediately be drawn to the movement in my room and would watch me walk around until I was out of view. Very odd to have no window coverings on such a large window. Lots of bulbs burnt out. Laundry in my condo was awesome & such a nice treat!
- Jae (8/5): - Everything with this property was great… my only complaint is there were no hangers in the closet…. But comfy, clean and great customer service
- Daniel (10/5): - Efficient elevator
- Ghislaine (8/5): - Well placed to walk around
Dish washer didn’t work
- mary (8/5): - Was skeptical about booking after reading reviews
Don't normally leave reviews
Stayed 6 days for a conference
Its New Orleans don't expect it to be perfect
Location is everything
Sofa could do with being replaced not very comfy to sit on would hate to try sleeping on it Windows are old therefore outside noise can be a factor for light sleepers
Could do with some clothes storage, drawers for those staying a bit longer 2 people 6 days 4 small drawers
Apartment was clean ,bed comfy, towels fluffy, toiletries, washing pods suppled Only thing missing was coat hangers, i could have called and had some delivered but it wasn't a big deal as i had brought my own
Was pleasantly surprised to find a large tub of Folgers coffee, sugar and powdered creamer ,salt and pepper
We did find a homeless person sleeping in the lobby the morning after the tornado , there is no door man/reception you are at the mercy of other guests ensuring the door is closed when they enter
Overall it met our needs
- Kenatra (8/5): Don't stay run - The tub was dirty the whole bathroom dirty.the bed had dirty sheets hair all over bed also there was dirty sheets in washer . I had to go out and purchase sheets. The couch was falling apart and roaches in kitchen
- Jessie (4/5): Very upset and unsettled. - We checked in, settled our belongings in the room, freshened up and went out for dinner. Upon arrival back at hotel, a man was coming out the front door with all of my sons belongings. His bag of clothes, backpack, and his very expensive Guitar. A scuffle broke out. My son got his things, but this individual had been in our room. We were very shaken. I have tried to reach the property manager, and have yet to be contacted back.
- Glenn (6/5): - The space was great....check in was fine. Amenities were lacking...washer and dryer in unit but no detergent or dryer sheets. ONE wine glass provided! Vertical blinds on slider were broken-no privacy. The space has such great potential....just needs some small touches.
- Luke (4/5): Location is good but…. - The location was really the best part about the location. The floor was filthy and the walls had hand prints on it in the bathroom. We were told that the elevator would be out of service for a few hours and they never got it working again, we had to carry all our luggage down 7 floors of stairs. There was also a hole from the door handle in the drywall from the door handle overall not that great of a spot and it was pretty dirty.
- Roberto (10/5): - I rarely stay in places without lobby but once you are in contact with them its no trouble
- Tamara (6/5): Not horrible but wont be back. - It was ok. Room wasnt in the best shape but not horrible. Blinds at patio door needs replaced. Patio was horrible and falling apart. Hallway was nasty, stain urine carpet. No fitted aheets on bed. 3 flat sheets and a comforter. Need to have a broom and mop in unit.
- Nancy (4/5): - This property is neither luxury nor gorgeous. Plastic uncomfortable furniture. Needs a deep cleaning. Cookware wasn’t washed properly and needs to be replaced. Floors are dirty, cooktop and surrounding area greasy. Complained at check in Friday and on Monday a housekeeper did what she could to clean but the unit needs more than a quick mop! Disappointed with the unit.
- Cynthia (4/5): Disappointing - Was disappointed in the condition of the unit. The unit had an unpleasant odor, there were holes in the wall, the mattress was sunken in the middle and squeaked any time you moved. I contacted Hosteeva and did not receive any communication from management during my stay. I did not receive any communication until after I contacted guest relations once I had checked out. Was told I would hear something in 24-48 hours after some research was done. So at this point waiting to see what happens next
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A very spacious apartment at a great location.
Good: We had no issues checking in and entering the building. We also loved having a fully equipped kitchen with coffee, sugar, creamer and a few spices in the cabinets.
Bad: The floor was dirty so were the tables and the couch. We dusted them off as we had a person sleep on the couch. We called the management three times - once right after we checked in because we asked for a set of sheets for the person sleeping on the couch (we indicated on the reservation there will be 3 people but there weren't extra sheets) and another set of towels for the third person. The lady showed up very quickly with these things . The second time we called the next day to ask for a working iron because the one there was broken so as for the toilet paper as there was none. We had toea ether apartment soon so we asked if she could bring it the next day between 8-9am but noone showed up. Then we called management for the third time and the lady came over very soon. Not sure if this was because of management or the lady but all in all it worked out.
Overall we had a good stay as this was one of the more affordable places but the management should work out these nuisances.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The only thing I liked about the property was the location. The hallway smelled like urine. The apartment has roaches. People walked in my apartment and someone else tried to enter it while we were in it. There is definitely not enough wash clothes for more then 2 people for 1 day. The couch is so hard it’s like sleeping on the floor. The bedroom has a high window that connects to the kitchen that does not allow the room to stay dark when the sun rises. The stove was not clean prior to our arrival.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We did like that it was close to everything! But everything to sit on or lay on in the property was like sleeping on the floor the bed and the couch was so uncomfortable that it was hard to sleep it felt like sleeping on a piece of cardboard on the floor. I would definitely recommend them putting some more comfortable beds and couches in the properties
- Alan (4/5): - The room was way too hot. I had to call 4 times to get it resolved
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All around place was beautiful and quiet. I am planning on staying there again on my next visit.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - There wasn't much decoration in the apartment or natural lighting. It was a 1 bedroom apartment and the bed was very squeeky anytime you turned over. It was very basic.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The unit was nice with a full kitchen, washer and dryer set up.
Futon couch was broke and the windows were only there to keep the weather out as you could hear everything going on outside. If there are any issues to report it may take up to 24hrs for someone to be onsite to fix. Our doors lock battery died and we were not able to leave and lock the deadbolt for one evening. It was replaced the next morning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was a safe place to stay. Quieter than the French Quarter but still had noise from being downtown and having the common patio right next door. It was clean and everything appeared to work except for the washing machine. The couch wasn't comfortable to sit on or to sleep on.
- Heidi (10/5): Great stay! - We loved this luxury 1 bedroom apartment! It was spacious and had everything we needed. It allowed us to have more room than a hotel room and a full kitchen so we didn't have to have every meal in a restaurant. It was clean and comfortable. The balcony was peaceful and a great place to watch the sunrise and gaze at the "Christmas" star. The location was perfect and close to everything. The only complaint I have is the bottom part of the pull out bed is broken. It didn't effect us as our 17 year old was still able to sleep comfortably on the couch/bed. However, if you had 2 smaller children, the broken pull out bed probably wouldn't work. I had previously seen the same complaint, so I would hope this gets fixed in the very near future! We would definitely choose to stay here again the future.
- Kimberly (10/5): Impromptu visit to New Orleans. Awesome - We stayed here to visit new Orleans. It was very close to Jackson square and bourbon street. The room was very clean, well stocked and had a view of magazine street. Would definitely recommend
- Cheryl (10/5): - I love the location, security, cleanliness and quiet. Thank you, me and my daughter totally appreciate.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - There was no internet, despite trouble shooting for over 3 hours. We ended up using out phone hotspots in order to connect the television to our Apple TV device. There weren’t very many channel options for the local stations either. The couch was extremely hard and very uncomfortable. The mattress in the bedroom was mediocre, and not what I expected as far as comfort. The location was a good location however my expectations for the overall unit and experience were disappointing.
- Derek (2/5): - Incredibly difficult time with hosteeva and their team. Plus the elevators were broke. Unnacceptable
- Dameon (2/5): - Bad service
