Guest Reviews
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Patricia (8/5): - Location great. Breakfast very good. Room fine.
- SHEILA (9/5): - Great staff and service, breakfast good quality and well cooked. Great location Limited bar facilities
- Deborah (9/5): -
- Alan (10/5): - This is the second time visiting this hotel, pleasent helpful staff, good clean room and comfy bed. Breakfast good with plenty of choice. All good
- Andrew (10/5): Little gem of a hotel, best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Staff were very helpful, would definitely book again. - Everything, little gem 💎 Nothing
- Neil Walkling (10/5): Short break - Breakfast was excellent rooms were well furnished convenient location for the city and all amenities. Nothing to dislike.
- Lynn (9/5): Perfect location and very friendly staff. - It’s location. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Free car park. Cleanliness. The bathroom was a bit small, especially the shower.

- Martin (8/5): Super location for a visit to Shrewsbury town. - The location was perfect. I was visiting in order to see the old centre of Shrewsbury. The Hotel was within the river loop and at the start of one of the many beautiful streets. The on site parking was compact, but well managed: I left my car key at reception and the staff moved my car in order to allow another guest to exit. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Did I mention the location. Sorry, can't think of anything.
- Sally (9/5): A good central hotel - Great location, pretty hotel and welcoming staff.
- Stephen (10/5): - Very welcomeing and helpful Every think was perfect
- Rachel (8/5): Great base to explore Shrewsbury and perfect for our needs! - Great location, very accommodating and a friendly welcome. All as expected so nothing that springs to mind!

- Suzanne (10/5): Wonderful stsy in Shrewsbury - Very proper old fashioned small family hotel. Very good location, lovely clean comfortable room snd good breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Can’t think of anything.
- Lynne (8/5): I would stay again. - Convenient central location with parking. A very friendly welcome and a fantastic breakfast in lovely surroundings overlooking the garden.. Not a negative, but the bedroom and bathroom aren’t the biggest we have stayed in, but were comfortable , clean and quiet .
- Antonia (10/5): - Lovely stay very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. We will go back
- Gail Owen (9/5): Shrewsbury wkend stay - Location excellent for river walks and town bars amd eateries Only issue in room was the shower
Had it set on highest hot setting but was hardly luke warm on both mornings.
The hot water in sink taps was hot just not the shower
- Paul (8/5): Good location and good breakfast - Location Creaky floorboards
- Sharrock (10/5): A really good relaxing stay in a perfect position in the heart of Shrewsbury - We loved the warm welcome from the staff, making our stay a superb weekend break.
- Moira (10/5): Great hotel and location - Warm a d helpful reception, lovely room and central but quiet. Nothing

- ROY (10/5): - A lovely place to stay, lovely and clean, great dining room, only moan is my companion was missing some beans with his breakfast nothing to add
- Simon (8/5): Excellent value for money and location - Location, Greek yoghurt for breakfast, free car parking Nothing
- William Peter (8/5): A good central hotel which could do with some slight improvements! - Comfy beds. Clean bathroom. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff. The staff arranged for us to change rooms from the 2nd to the 1st floor as my wife had a bad leg. Thankyou. Central location. Room was rather small as was the bathroom. There were some dusty areas. In the room to which we transferred, there was loose sugar in one of the drawers. Perhaps the cleaning could be improved. The car parking is rather chaotic. The system may work at quiet times but we had to park and pay in the nearby public car park on our last night. Perhaps the hotel should have paid?
- Ron (8/5): - Location in Shrewsbury Work being carried out while relaxing in the afternoon.
- Jane (7/5): Lovely place but drains & plumbing needs checking - The place itself is lovely but there was a strong smell of sewage coming from the toilet.
- Morgan (9/5): Gem in the Centre of Shrewsbury - Very welcoming staff. Room was immaculate and the bed was very high quality. Perfect location close to lots of pubs and only a short walk from the market. Parking was available but required to leave car keys at front desk in case they need to move your car to let someone out. Electric shower was a little weak. Shower head had a small hole in it leading to weak water pressure but other than that I can't complain
- Alan (9/5): Good enjoyable stay - Very good Breakfasts. Good Choices
Perfect location for sightseeing
Parking on site a bonus
- Percival (9/5): Warm welcome, comfortable stay in a convenient part of town -
- Lesley (8/5): -
- Danay (10/5): -
- Elaine (8/5): Perfect hotel great location - The hotel was in a perfect location to walk into the town. Having it's own car park was a bonus. We had a friendly and warm welcome. Our room was small but comfortable for our 1 night stay. It was very clean and tidy.
Breakfast was perfect. Fresh fruit. Cereal and a cooked breakfast with toast and tea. Great way to start the day There was nothing we didn't like

- MaggieJL (9/5): Super location in lovely Shrewsbury - Great location, friendly welcome and lovely hot breakfast... waitress is very efficient and friendly too. Small cleaning issue but easily sorted.
- peter (9/5): - Excellent staff, all friendly and helpfull N/A
- Noelle (9/5): Great location - Very friendly staff. Ideal location right in the heart of the town with parking. Hotel is very clean. The room was very small as was the bathroom. That was our only quibble. Would stay there again. It’s more like a guest house/B&B than a hotel Just that the room and bathroom were extremely small
- Greenwood (5/5): Ok for one night stay! - Convenience of location; breakfast included. Lots of storage space in the room, car parking space included. Flooring was cold. Not enough rugs for under feet. Challenged at front door when entering in for the night, as if we were intruders. That left a bitter taste for the stay. No hot water for the sink - it ran cold.
- SG (8/5): - Sehr gute Lage, Parkplätze vorhanden (Tandem Parking), sehr freundliches Personal, bequemes Bett und sehr gutes Frühstück.
- David (8/5): - Friendly staff

- susan (10/5): Very enjoyable stay and would visit again. - The hotel was in an excellent position to visit Shrewsbury. The room was smaller than I was expecting but adequate for a 2 night stay. Plenty of choices at breakfast and the full English was very nice. Free parking outside was a bonus.
- steven (9/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): -
- Carine (10/5): - Stayed for 1night, central for town, bed was very comfy place was very clean, and the lady behind reception was lovey. I don’t eat breakfast so never had any so can’t comment Nothing bad to say about the hotel
- Amanda Jayne (9/5): - Fantastic place to stay, very friendly and helpful, even gave us a map of Shrewsbury which was a great guide to everything. It was a good 5min walk into town, on a steep incline though. But we were given another route into town along the river which was so pleasant, and much easier for my Aunty. Would definitely recommend!
- Peter (9/5): Ideal location - A lovely hotel ideally situated to visit the market town centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
- John (10/5): Great central location with private parking. - Great location in the centre of town with its own private parking. Room and communal spaces clean and well presented. Friendly, helpful staff.

- Katheryn (8/5): -

- hollings (10/5): hotel was great made it a great break - good hotel and very clean great breakfast and very friendly staff would go back again parking was a problem at times but over all good
- Paul (10/5): - Location and parking and staff
- Paul (9/5): - Great location Nothing
- Anne (10/5): - Exceptional hotel in good location with free parking.
- Tracy (8/5): Small hotel in centre of town. - Right in centre of town, very easy to explore town. Limited parking. Having to move car several times to accommodate other guests and returning to late from a wedding and no parking available.
- Nicholas (10/5): -
- Deborah (9/5): -
- Hunt (10/5): The hotel offered good value for money and the breakfast was excellent. Free parking was a bonus. - Perfect location which was so handy for the town centre, bars and restaurants. The check in was easy and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. No complaints whatsoever.

- Lesley (10/5): Definitely recommend - Smart clean tidy comfortable & welcoming. Nothing
- jane (10/5): - Lovely, friendly, helpful, family run hotel. Knowledgeable on the local area and places of interest. Took time to suggest places to go and things to do. Great location, free parking. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. They also have a bar and comfy lounge area. Nothing to dislike at all. Lovely place to stay.
- Reg (8/5): Value for money. - The location and breakfast was excellent the room was basic but had all that you need.
- Frank (10/5): Shrewsbury break - From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. The family were absolutely brilliant. The room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel . The breakfast was gorgeous. There was a great selection of cereals all the fruit salad and coffee was fresh on the morning . On our first night we sat downstairs in the bar and it was lovely and peaceful
We have already booked to come back in June There was nothing we didn't like
- Rosemary (8/5): Great family run hotel. - The cooked breakfast was of a really high standard and the girls who served the food and drinks were lovely. Good coffee and self service cold breakfast area.
The basement room was very clean, warm and comfortable bed. Don't expect free parking. There's only 10 spaces, so if you get one you're either blocked in or have to leave your keys for your car to be moved. We had to use the carpark (which is right by the hotel so not too much of an issue) and it added about £12 to our stay.
The toilet macerater seemed to randomly go off and very loud.
- Trina (8/5): Close to the river & the centre of town, this hotel is perfectly located. It is warm & comfortable & the sta - Location, warm and comfortable, staff
- Pat (8/5): Would be happy to stay again - Very friendly and helpful staff. Good fresh breakfast. Quiet location. CAR PARKING! Room clean but "tired"

- BENJAMIN (8/5): -
- Katherine (10/5): Fabulous stay - A lovely, hotel. Room was spotlessly.clean and warm. Friendly staff. Brilliant location, town centre just a few.minutes up the road. Breakfast was great too with friendly staff throughout. A lovely river walk just outside the property, with parking outside the hotel too. There is also an Indian restaurant opposite.waa.great and an ice cream parlour..next door too. Plenty of restaurants, shops, and things to do. Would definitely recommend this hotel if visiting shrewbury. Nothing

- Sheila (8/5): - Very good breakfast and friendly service Rooms quite small but facilities fine
- Ian (9/5): An excellent stay, ideally located for exploring Shrewsbury. - Small run family business. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfasts were excellent and cooked to order. Link to local tap bar offering 20% off main evening meal per person. Car park small, but sufficient for number of guests. Only 16 rooms. Our room was on the front. Noisy eatery across the road, with windows on first floor open late into the night. Bought some ear blockers for second night which improved situation.
